Are you looking around and trying to decide whether or not you should even
attend a conference for your industry? In this video, today, I'm going to share with
you four of our top reasons why we think you absolutely should get off your butt
and go to a conference.
My name is Meredith Ryncarz and I am the owner
of the Restart Specialist where we help businesses get rapidly booked in any
market. So conferences, I think they are absolutely a blast to attend but in this
day and age there are so many of them, it's hard to decide if it's even
worth going to them anymore. The number one reason why I think that you
need to attend, and this is the one if you don't remember anything else that I
say this is the one I want you to remember, it's to network.That is one
of the top reasons why we go to conferences to this day. Even if I'm not
attending a class. Even if I'm not going to hear a keynote speaker, I'm taking the
time to network with other industry professionals. (That this process is more
about farming than it is about hunting. It's about cultivating relationships
with other business professionals.It's about realizing the capital that comes
from building social relationships). Whether they are just simply in the
creative industry as a whole or photographers that I can learn from and
talk with and we can help each other grow together. You'd be surprised how
many connections you can make by simply going to a workshop regionally, or
a conference on a national, or international level. The creative
industry is small and there are always less than six degrees of separation.
So this one key point of going to a conference is that networking is so
vital to the health of your business. The second reason that you need to be going
to a conference is in order to learn new skills. It's so easy to get caught up in
the day-to-day minutiae of your industry and other business that we become
stagnant. We become complacent (When a great team loses through complacency, it
will constantly search for new and more intricate explanations to explain away
defeat. After a while, it becomes more innovative in thinking up ways on how to
lose then thinking up ways on how to win). Then you wonder why somebody comes
along and starts taking your business from you. You need to be constantly
innovating and learning new skills and conferences are one of the best places
to do that. Third reason that you need to be attending a conference is, honestly,
because you're learning new ways to market.
You're stepping outside of your regional market. You're stepping outside of the
area that you're comfortable with and you're learning new tips, new tricks, or
even things that may have been old that are new again. Lastly, our fourth tip
is that you're gonna get to see new technology, new products, new things that
are available to you in your industry that may not have hit your market yet
which will set you apart as an industry innovator in your region.When you
stand out as a innovator as someone that is a little bit different, your clients
will notice ,potential inquiries will notice, and they will want to book you
more readily because you stand head and shoulders apart from the rest of your

to get your butt to a conference, a workshop, or

I am super sick but guys this little makeup tutorial is how to go from
looking like a sink slob to somewhat glam and it really really fast guys
super super quick we just used two eyeshadows Kay no
contouring no lashes no you know nothing hard you can get this done really really
quick I did this in about 10 minutes and I think it's really really beautiful
it's a nice easy glam so that way even though you're sick you don't look like
your sick self like see how I got this look and what I use then please keep on

it's Thanksgiving today actually so I have to go to family's house to
celebrate so even when you know if you feel like crap you sound like crap but
you kind of want to shows yourself up a little bit than this makeup tutorials
for you it's gonna be quick it's gonna be easy we're only using two eyeshadow
colors but but you can want to go from sick to glam in a hurry but yeah this is
how you do it so let's go ahead and get these eyebrows done and guys every
product I'm using is drugstore so
okay guys I'm going to go to prime my eyes with the Maybelline instant age
rewind and just gonna get these nice and primed okay guys so this is the L'Oreal
where'd fit in it little eye duo and this is in cheetahs listen so this is in
the shade satin taupe so you got a nice matte and a shimmer so I'm just gonna go
ahead and use my finger and put this really pretty bronze shade all over the
lid really really quick easy look you can use any two shades you could even
use this in with just one shadow this type of look to pick up that matte shade
in this little duo and I'm just going to gently blend shimmery bronze
okay guys next I'm going to be using the covergirl advanced radiance foundation
in natural ivory this one isn't as light as the maybelline superstay so just
gonna go to get this Bufton when you're sick and everything if your skin's
looking a little sallow definitely make sure you're using a foundation isn't it
too light and I do think using a foundation that has a little bit of
radiance to it you can definitely mix in some liquid illuminate or whatever it
just gently helps it helps to make you look a little bit more well so but how
much that's already helping mostly me using the same concealer
you can t get this buffed out it's really gonna clean up that under-eye
area and it's going to gently right and make us look a little less sick whatever
is left I'm just gonna go ahead and just gently highlight but you guys next I'm
just going to go in and powder with the Rimmel stay matte
okay I'm gonna go ahead and smoke out some of that shimmery bronze shadow that
we used on our lid underneath the lower lash line that way we don't have to use
liner or anything I'm gonna go ahead and bronze up using the Physicians Formula
butter bronzer no contouring like I said guys really fast really easy just a
little bit of blush it would be using in my same little brush and this is the BH
Cosmetics ten color natural palette and I just
want something kind of nice and bright so I think I'm gonna go with this pretty
pink and just put that on next we're gonna go ahead and highlight I'm going
to be using the wet and wild little highlighting powder and this is in
blossom glow really really nice pretty highlighter so
okay guys we're gonna go ahead and curl the lashes and put on some mascara
I'm just using the Loreal voluminous carbon black mascara this stuff is
awesome
okay guys last thing is lipstick whatever I'm not feeling good I love to
use like a dark or bright color it just adds a lot of color to the face so I'm
going to be using the makeup revolution this is party on the dance floor and
this is the lipstick shade past the night really really beautiful red so
let's go ahead
oh this is the finished look guys super fast super easy no contouring no lashes
no liner just two different shadow shades and just the basics but by just
you know putting on a bright or dark lip and putting on that highlight guys it
really makes it a glam look so you can feel like complete garbage and still
look really really decent I really really love this look this is just great
too if you need to get out the door click for work or school or a holiday
party but this just screams the holidays to me and love the nice warm bronzy eye
and then the beautiful dark you know red brick red lip is just so pretty but you

There's a lot of similarities between this new version of Pokémon,
And the old-school Red, Blue, and Yellow,
But there are also a lot of differences that make Pokémon: Let's Go! so unique.
One thing that Pokémon: Let's Go! has done well,
Is blending the original Pokémon elements with modern gaming,
In a way that feels natural and approachable.
Longtime Pokémon fans will feel right at home in Kanto,
While new players will find it easy to slip in and experience the games that made Pokémon what it is today.
Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow came out at a simple time in the 90s.
The internet wasn't really a thing, and technology was a bit rough around the edges.
Anyone who was playing Pokémon in the 90s on a Game Boy
Will no doubt fondly remember trying to see the screen using a torch or streetlights at night.
Back then there was no fancy backlighting.
Trading Pokémon with friends meant purchasing a cable, and actually having to see your friends in person.
Nowadays, technology has changed up the whole game.
Thanks to the Internet, players can download a copy of Pokémon: Let's Go!,
And start trading with friends without even leaving the house.
But things have also advanced in-game, too.
Your bedroom in Pokémon is no longer a cramped, little space with a junky old TV, a bed, and a tree.
Now it's a large room with a flat-screen TV, a modern computer, and a Nintendo Switch.
Another big difference in Pokémon: Let's Go! is the new peripheral,
The Pokéball Plus.
This device works with Pokémon: Let's Go!, as well as Pokémon GO on mobile,
And makes it feel like you're actually catching Pokémon.
There are also a few crossover elements from GO tucked into Pokémon: Let's Go!
The Safari Zone has been replaced with the GO Park complex.
The catch mechanic feels practically the same as Pokémon GO,
And transferring Pokémon in exchange for candy is also in Let's Go!
One of the biggest differences between Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow from the 90s and Pokémon: Let's Go!,
Is that random Pokémon encounters in the grass have been retired.
While we're sad to see this go, the new system is visually much more impressive.
You can actually see the Pokémon walking around.
Not to mention the new catch combo encourages exploration and hunting for new Pokémon.
Speaking of visually stunning changes,
The attacks and battle animations are unlike any other Pokémon game out there.
The stronger your Pokémon's attacks, the more visually impressive they'll appear.
Pokémon: Let's Go! has totally changed the game,
It's taken what was an incredible set of games back in the 90s,
Used them as a foundation, and created one of the best Pokémon experiences in years.
