  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may dip in and out of games, but his Arsenal scoring record can't be questioned

 The Gabon international arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window from Borussia Dortmund and marked his debut with a goal in the 5-1 thrashing of Everton in the Premier League

 From there has goals haven't stopped coming.   He finished last season with 10 goals from 13 appearances in the top flight of English football - prompting supporters to wonder how different Arsene Wenger's final term as manager would have been had Aubameyang arrived six months earlier

 Having featured for Dortmund in Europe during the first-half of the 2017/2018 campaign, the 29-year-old was ineligible for the Gunners' Europa League campaign

  That's not the case this season and Aubameyang netted twice in the 4-2 win over FC Vorskla on matchday one a couple of months ago

 Those were his third and fourth goals of the campaign, a total which now stands at 10 after his winner against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon

  Stretching to get a toe on Sead Kolasinac's cross to end his four-game drought, Aubameyang brought up his 20th goal across all competitions for the north London outfit in just his 31st appearance

 What is most impressive about the stat is when it's compared to how long it took Thierry Henry and Ian Wright - the club's most prolific goalscorers - to reach that total

 As pointed out by AFC Gally on Twitter, it took both players 40 games to score 20 goals for the Arsenal

 Of course Henry and Wright went on to win trophies with the Gunners, not to mention breaking a number of records along the way and are still very much revered amongst supporters

  Aubameyang probably doesn't have enough time on his side to emulate the club legends in terms of overall goals, but the company he's keeping certainly bodes well in the immediate future

 Not since Fernando Torres left Liverpool for Chelsea has the Premier League seen quite as spectacular a collapse from a world class player, though Arsenal fans won't be too happy either

 With Sanchez leaving, the Gunners landed Henrikh Mkhitaryan from United in what looked a smart piece of business

 The Armenian playmaker seemed an absolutely perfect fit for the style of play deployed by Arsenal, very much in contrast to the kind of role he'd been given in his time at Old Trafford

 But far from revive Mkhitaryan, the 29-year-old has done virtually nothing since his bright start at the end of last season
