8 ways I make MONEY as a PHOTOGRAPHER - Duration: 12:25.

well happy Halloween everybody my name is David are godinez and welcome back to

cut above the average today we're gonna learn eight ways that I make money as a

photographer let's go so first of all to kind of establish some sort of

credibility my name is David or Godinez I'm a professional photographer based in

las Cruces New Mexico I personally used all except one of these things and

that's kind of an exception because I kind of did use it you'll see what I

mean when I get there but anyway I just wanted to give you guys eight kind of

fresh new takes on how to make money as a photographer or videographer because

that's what I do I do both now the first thing on this list is in valuable to me

this is how I make the majority of my money because I make all of my money

through cinematography and videography and that doesn't mean that I have it

made I definitely don't make Asthma 20s I'd

like to be but that's because I'm still using these ways to end methods to kind

of progress and continue to establish more of a name for myself and continue

to make income from this way but I do make enough income from this to sustain

and support myself through like a bare minimum level which I'm happy with as

long as I'm doing what I love and that first way is freelancing upwork people

per hour all the other sites I only use those

first two on up working people per hour basically these clients come in and they

post a job and you go in there and bid with your rate or you're like overall

project rate and your goal here is to kind of outshine the rest of the

competition showcase yourself and hopefully get that job from that person

so that you can work remotely in most cases from the comfort of your own home

doing photography or video stuff a lot of my most long-term gigs come from up

work I'm very fairly new to people per hour

but I love the layout quite a bit more than up work and I believe that the fee

is quite less they do take kind of a big chunk out of what you make but that's

only when you're starting out it gets less and less as you continue to

progress and make more earnings from the site they basically just want to make

sure that you're gonna be there for long term and not just there to make the

money which also I'm sure it's kind of a cash grab but we can we can kind of push

that push that to the side for a second

the next thing on the list is to use yourself and that is through social

media advertising this is something that I am notorious for doing if you know me

at all if you follow me on social media I am constantly kind of pushing and

promoting my product which is myself in my photography always posting like my

rates always changing kind of having new packages ready for sale and this is

another way that I get a majority of my work because people see that I obviously

do things and if they're a new follower or someone who's followed through with

my advertising or has like inquired with me but never actually bit the bullet

finally one day is convinced that they are ready to go with me and this is just

your basic stuff this is your your keen says your weddings your senior pictures

your family pictures your holiday pictures all of the bread-and-butter

items that you take on most as a photographer are what I gained through

using this sort of advertising I've never really advertised my services

properly I've never used like Facebook Ads or flyers or you know the papers or

anything like that or even Craigslist but I find that using my own following

and people within my own area to get work helps me the most actually I

believe there's nothing better than this because you get paid right away

typically if you have your contracts in order and your communication right

usually you'll get a deposit show up to the event and leave with the rest of the

cheque or you know once you finish the editing and stuff like that whatever you

work out with the client so that is another way that I kind of fund myself

through my photography on to the next one alright guys so the next tip I have

for you is another surefire way into making money as a photographer and that

method is second shooting I'm sure you've heard of it it's pretty often

preached as a way of income for photographers however I think people put

more weight on it than actually is do I haven't made as much money through doing

second shooting as I would like to but that's also because that's not where I

focus a lot of my energy if that's something that you want to do in a way

that you feel most comfortable making that income then I suggest you totally

go for it if you can find a mentor or a studio or a production company in town

that does photography or shoots weddings or Quintanilla s or anything like that

then definitely shoot them a message hopefully you have a portfolio or some

kind of like Instagram page that kind of shows

your capabilities depending on what they require and message them and tell them

where you're going after it's saying that you'd like some experience

hopefully they have some work for you and if they don't then that's fine but

make sure that you tell them to keep you in mind because guaranteed just as my

own person I've definitely been in a lot of situations where I wish I kept the

contacts of different people who I wanted to come help me out and second

shoot for me because I've definitely needed the help before I usually figure

it out on my own but it's not always that easy next one the next thing in the

list of things you can do to make money as a photographer or videographer is

editing photo or video as you can see here I'm editing something for one of my

friends Adriel you can go follow him here I'll put his link somewhere on the

screen but this is another way that I've made a pretty decent amount of money

actually and I think about I put it in here kind of as a secondary option

because it I thought it was something that I hadn't made a lot of money with

but it's what I do pretty much all the time that's what I

like to do that's how I make most of my income either through up work or through

actual people in town which is where I'm going with it kind of along the same

lines is the last one you can find other people here who need help with editing

especially with videos if there's an event company in town who shoots

weddings or you know concerts or promotional videos for clubs or lounges

or anything like that they typically especially if they're busy will probably

need some sort of help editing and although the pay might vary you can

typically get some pretty not necessarily steady but frequent work

from it I've definitely done that for a couple people here in town I know Eli

doesn't necessarily like getting as much because he always has a lot on his plate

so if you'll often come to me and be like hey David how much to edit this or

the Palomar company here in town loved those boys great group of boys they'll

sometimes have me edit weddings or other events that they've done because they

just need a little bit of extra help and there's nothing wrong with that and

that's a good opportunity for you and it's also mutually beneficial for them

onto the next one

the next tip I want to give you guys is about real estate

one thing I started doing like one of the very first things that I started

doing that I was trying to make money as a photographer was send emails or

messages to different real estate companies in town so for Las Cruces one

that I was actually approached by was exit Realty I believe they had come to

me and gave me like a set price they're like we're gonna give you $125 and

you're gonna take like 15 photos of this house and have them edited to us by this

certain date and that's what I did for a little bit to make a good amount of side

money a good way to go about that is to have some sort of a portfolio like ready

to go if you have access to model homes in your area that are just like open

then I then I wouldn't suggest going in there and getting some photos for your

own portfolio until you probably get kicked out which will definitely happen

or if you just have a nice house or know a friend with a nice house you can set

something up real pretty and take pictures of that and make it look like

part of your real estate portfolio the next tip is very very sporadic

but definitely one of the best ones that I've experienced today and that is

through referrals or networking essentially so what I mean by that some

examples of that would be sometimes Eli or Pat or another production company

like Chris Lang from LNG will contract me to come and help out be either like a

grip or a PA or cameraman or just take photos on different sets or for

different clients and I will typically get some sort of like a commission I

guess you could say off of that this is very practical when you make yourself

available and you're a nice person and you like talking to people and

communicating with and collaborating with other people because if people see

that you're a good worker and they like your work then they will obviously no

problem no doubt have you come and help them out because they like working with

you there's a million I can guarantee you wherever you are there are a million

other people exactly like you probably around your same skill level that could

have also gotten hired for that job but because you make that connection and

because those people like you they would rather go with someone like you and

that's another way you can make money as a photographer

or videographer the best way to do this obviously now we're in 2018 is through

social media or through going to different events and stuff like that in

your local area or meetups photography meetups I know there's plenty of those

in like larger cities not so much here in the southwest but sometimes every

once in a while we'll have a couple and making actual genuine connections with

these people so that they will in turn help you and

get work in case they're a little bit further along in their career and can

help you and give you some sort of assistance in that way but the only

thing you can really stress on this is to make sure it just started raining is

to make sure that you are genuine and that you don't just use this person to

try and get work or to get money because that will never take you anywhere in any

industry on to the next one another one of the most frequent ways to make money

as a photographer is through stock photos stock imaging you can use sites

like geez I wouldn't even really know I've definitely done stock photography

before but not really for any certain websites like I think shutterstock is

one don't quote me on that typically when I've done stock we're talking free

in the passage because somebody has outsourced me a business or a person

because they want to buy one of my photos that I have already previously

taken which is usually a plus which is awesome but yes if you have a good eye

for normal or abnormal things there's been some pretty crazy some pretty crazy

stock images but if you're creative and you think that you have the industry

standards like capabilities then go ahead go for it sell it get up make a

Shutterfly shutter stock account whatever it is it's definitely not

Shutterfly and not sponsored and sell your part somebody wants it I can

guarantee you on to the next one I have to leave this scary building

and the last David or gudinas approved way of making money as a photographer

beginner or professional whatever you are in your career is knowledge if you

have a very good understanding of photography or videography or even

making money as a photographer videographer

I myself even though I'm not making money off of this you could potentially

use that knowledge to make money with it you can either build a course I've had

people hire me to help them like learn how to edit photos and use like

Lightroom and Photoshop and premiere at all those programs and pay me pretty

decently for it people want knowledge people need knowledge the only thing

driving us forward as humans is what we know and what we have yet to learn

basically in my eyes so I think that if you have that knowledge and you're

comfortable enough and sharing it then by all means do that you can definitely

make a lot of money through this I don't know of any sites specifically but

locally you can definitely find people who are more than willing to like take

lessons from you or like a photography class or videography class or lighting

class whatever you have people want to take that so if you can find somewhere

to set up shop sell your knowledge that's the most valuable thing that you

I already applied lotion

& sunscreen

But today I will do

a little bit differently

compare to my normal routine

Which is I will apply my concealer first

then cushion^^ and the concealer I use

today is from A Concept

These are the areas where I have to cover the most

I think I need to look for the solution

But maybe in January,

But it will feel more official

All my flaws just showed with no mercy

After applying concealer,

to keep blending

Today I will use

Superface eyeshadow cream

I will put some on my hand first

Then I will use my finger to blend it

This will keep the shadow lasts longer

and it's very creamy

so it will stick

Then I will apply Missha eyeshadow

Now finger again~

I love this color cos it is very natural

I will use a brush (finally) to apply below the eyes

Also, I will use

Wakemake eyeshadow to apply

to my eyes' corners

to create the depth

I'm always freak out

when putting dark color on my eyes

Next~ Eyeliner

All time favorite Clio~

Is Clio good?

Hell yes~ It's one of famous

Korean make up brands

Price is above average

But now the company makes another brand called Peripera

which is much cheaper

suitable for students I guess

Exhausted with my eyeliners~

This is 4ormood mascara

I don't think they sell it in Vietnam

It is pretty pricey for a local brand

It will be difficult to sell with high price T.T

DIY Background || How To Make Background Easily For Youtube Videos! - Duration: 17:27.

Things u will need:-

Thermacol

Glitter Powder *Silver *Golden

But u can choose any colour of ur choice.

Double Sided Tape

Fevicol Glue

Cutter

White Charts

Ist place the thermacol board on the table & mark the size (as shown)

Place another board on top ist board & mark it`s size too (if u require a big size background)

Then with the help of pencil & scale mark the lines (as shown)

After marking lines ,with the help of scale & cutter, cut the board

After cutting both the boards as marked, join them together with Fevicol or Glue gun gun

After it with the same technique of marking mark the charts acc. to size & cut them

After cutting all size pieces, paste them on board with Fevicol

After Pasting the charts, it will look like this

Then with the help of a pencile, draw the pattern (TIGER STRIP PATTERN) on it.

After drawing pattern with the help of brush apply the glue on board Ist inside the pattern carefully

After applying the glue Ist place a piece of chart or newspaper, so that when u sprinkle glitter on it will not fall or spread on floor hence that glitter can be reused

Now sprinkle the glitter powder on it.

Repeat the same process for all the strips, than it will look like this

Now repeat all the processes for applying glue & silver glitter on the left part.

Then at last it will look like this.

Ur very own DIY Background is ready

Isn`t it looking awsome!

Now at last place the Background board on table & stick it to the back wall of table with the help of double sided tape.

Ur all done the Background is ready to be used!

DIY How to make ribbon kanzashi snowflake (ENG Subtitles) - Speed up #536 - Duration: 4:45.

Hi. Today I will show you how to make snowflake out of ribbon.

I made it by request from my viewers.

Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.

Cut a square out of ribbon. 5cm x 5cm.

Cut a second square but use a different color.

Fold both squares in a half.

Put one square on top of another one.

Fold the corners to the middle.

Fold in a half.

Burn the edge...

...and press it (to glue it).

Cut off the back of petal,..

Burn both edges and press them.

Make 6 petals in this way.

Make 6 one-color petals in similar way.

Now, take third color of ribbon and cut a square. 5cm x 5cm.

Fold it in a half,..

...again in a half...

...and once again in a half.

Burn the corner and press it.

Cut off the back of petal...

...and burn the edges. This time leave the hole open.

Make 30 petals in this way.

Now, glue 2 petals together.

Add third petals between them.

Glue another 2 petals together...

...and add third petal but this time a different one.

Glue both pieces together.

We need 6 parts which are the same as this one.

Glue 6 petals together.

Glue a rhinestone to the center of flower.

Glue the previously made parts between the petals.

Finally, attach a piece of ribbon to the back of snowflake.

And it's done.

This snowflake will be a beautiful Christmas tree or window decoration.

Of course you can make it by using other Christmas colors of ribbons.

How to Make A Flashpoint Movie | Fan Theory - Duration: 11:17.

hi I'm Brian from BMA Comics Con and today I'm gonna give you my opinion on

what DC should do about their movie universe but the answer is easy

flashpoint now I know that doesn't sound like a great idea because when I heard

it at first that they wanted to do that I was like please don't do that

you haven't earned that however flashpoint is a great idea it fix all of

their problems now the first problem that they have that really needs fixing

it's Batman and Superman Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck both need to be recasted

I don't think either of them really wants it and neither of them deserves it

because Batman and Superman are very iconic ones I mean outside of spider-man

Jesus, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Buddha, and Elvis; Batman and Superman are the most

recognizable people in the world and for that reason if you get the chance to

play Batman and Superman you should respect and cherish that role and you

should shave whatever they need you to shave for the role

now flashpoint would fix that because one for Ben Affleck Bruce Wayne's not

even in flashpoint so not only could we get rid of Bruce Wayne we could bring in

Thomas Wayne yeah this guy who played Thomas Wayne in BvS and Negan in The

Walking Dead and the comedian in the Watchmen movies yeah this guy who's not

new to comic book movies he could be at Batman great idea because now they could

make Batman movies which I'll admit probably is not even gonna be a billion

dollars billion for a billion dollars but your budget I'm making it could be

much less because this Batman is a lot lower tech than the Bruce Wayne Batman

and that could give us a different Batman so we can get Batman movies get

the feel for it without getting the same thing that we've always gotten and not

only with that we'll get a new Joker because right we all want Joker movies

at least that's what they seem to think that we all want Joker movies but we

could get Martha to be the Joker you know Martha. That Martha now as far as

Superman goes super has practically not existed in a flashpoint universe so

Henry Cavill can be recasted immediately. Just get some scrawny guy.

Just picked somebody off the street stand them there in the red and blue

tights and call them Superman. He's not even in red and blue tights so

just pick a guy off the street and call him Superman for a couple of cameos and

that's it until we're ready to make more Superman movies which should actually be

a couple of years down the line depending based off of the thoughts that

I have. we could get a break from Superman which is what they're trying to

do after Man of Steel so flashpoint would provide us a break

for Superman another problem that the DC extended universe has a cyborg I'm a fan

of the Teen Titans so Cyborg to me belongs on the Teen Titans.

Cyborgs just not Justice League material I'm not saying he's not that kind of caliber

superhero just saying that even the comics have done a good enough job

making cyborg look like he fits in the Justice League. Except for on flashpoint.

Flashpoint really elevated cyborg status and I think they should do that in the

movies also with the flashpoint universe cyborg really stepped up which I think

would be great in the movies which can also therefore justify cyborg having his

own solo movie as he's dealing in the new world that is built which is exactly

what I'm trying to do. Let's world build. That's what DC needs

and flashpoint could be great because you know what a low flashes next movie

and first movie will be called flashpoint the strike is not gonna just

be a movie it's gonna be this whole face yes let's copy Marvel. Marvel's using

phases and it works so copy the Marvel method of doing things and let's have

phases phase 1 flashpoint so let's build flashpoint and it's gonna start with

Barry Allen's movie so now I don't like the way Ezra Miller's flash is I want a

little bit more hopeful person and a little less quorks and that's how I want

my flash to be so this flash movie just a simple movie superhero stops bad guys

and has a smile while doing he's happy to do it because he's saving the day

that's all he wants to do just be a good guy and I want that optimism to rise a

little bit until later in the movie and maybe his father's killed in prison

while he's serving a sentence for a crime he didn't even do which is killing

Barry Allen's mom which investigation is still open and Barry still looking into

it all leading up to this while his mentor who unbeknownst him

might be Eobard Thawne because I think that was a great idea from the CW let's

keep it. His mentor helped him and his father's

unfortunate killed which as I'm saying let's build his character crushes him it

crushes him so bad that he goes back in time and the movie ends with him going

back in time and seeing his mother alive which would be a great and happy ending

for the movie and lets us fans know flashpoints coming and also it could we

could get and credits scene where not only does he see and hug his mother but

he steps outside and he sees the world is at war World War 3.

He started World War 3 Aquaman has a movie coming out next month now this

could still work all I need for this movie to do is to have us the audience

love Aquaman and Mera together I want them to make a movie where Mera, Mera

sorry where Mara loves Aquaman and weak feelings we feel like

they're a good couple what we feel at least sympathetic that they're not

together I want us to be on Mara's side in that movie so that in Wonder Woman's

movie which they trying to push out to 2020 probably gonna be 2021 for her 80th

anniversary but maybe they could have a sub movie before that Wonder Woman and

Aquaman teaming up maybe one a woman needs to investigate something in

Atlantis and a Wonder Woman and Aquaman who have some history from Justice

League they team up and in this movie Aquaman maybe slightly flirtatious with

Wonder Woman now we can't ruin Wonder Woman's reputation because she's a hit

and nobody wants to mess with that understandable but Italy maybe Aquaman's

flirtatious ways because Jason Momoa we could play him as a dog alright now Mara

gets jealous of it and maybe she steps to Wonder Woman in a way that the

Amazonians with Wonder Woman does not like she might even put our hands on her

or threaten her now this will cause one of the

Amazonians that is with Wonder Woman to attack and probably kill Mara now one a

woman being the diplomat that she is in the movies probably wouldn't have said

done anything but with this attack of course Atlantis is gonna come down on

one woman and then that gives us the chance to have more possibly another

movie the escape from Atlantis or but the point is we get World War 3 started

right there Amazonians and Atlanteans at war again like they were in history as

the Justice League movie mentioned so that builds the world of World War

scenario now another thing that the Justice another things are another thing

that DC seems to want to do is they want to make little side movies they have

nothing to do with anything. Wrong! As comic book fans we like our stuff

connected but site movies are great now in this World War three scenario that I

mentioned the guy who was cast as Deathstroke is great leave him make a

little side movie with him Chris Pine once a movie boom Trevor Noah gets a

movie in this world now he I'm not saying every movie is gonna be a bloody

war action movie you could stop love movies or spy movies let's talk about

Lois Lane and maybe Trevor Noah as a love interest to reporters maybe on

opposite sides of things ah sounds like an interesting movie to me I'm not gonna

write that one but I'm just saying idea right there you could still make little

side movies because we still have the Batman and Joker thing that's another

side movie Shazam now I have not seen this Shazam trailer yet I'm gonna watch

that so that move that trick video will probably be coming up where you can see

me watch this trailer for the first time and I can see maybe after watching that

there's another way you could sprinkle Shazam in there come almost positive she

sounds gonna be a hit but he definitely can be in here cuz if you seen

flashpoint he's in it so he'll fit in this universe we'll just stick him from

where he is into our new flashpoint universe so this gives DC the chance to

actually build a universe let's steal the marble model and building

verse and we'll have phases that way this gives us a couple of years to go

ahead and build this universe learn everybody I mean can you have little

minor cameos Hal Jordan although not saying he has to be anybody but we can

hear about the fighter pilot in this new world war who might have gone down or

maybe he doesn't go down and we just have a a v8 or movie starring Hal Jordan

without his green ring but just to give us how absurd it may be one time so that

maybe later on maybe when flashpoint ends we get a nice Green Lantern movie

that would easily introduce got a little taste of Green Lantern without getting

it yet that you know warm us up for it start with us a little you know tease us

let us get a little bit before you just dump it all on us so I think flashpoint

for those reasons would help fix all the problems that DC has to recap it gets

Batman and Superman out of there it elevates cyborg it gives flash of good

movie it helps prolong more arm Wonder Woman and Aquaman movies and it also

sets up a world which they need and provides them to make side movies that

don't have to be heavy plot with the main movies but still be in the same

universe flash point to me for those reasons is a great fix for DC's problems

and would probably be a great movie because when they decide to finish

flashpoint the next phase at that point they can completely reboot things

justified or it can continue it I think flashpoint would be great for

that reason and I'd like to hear what you think let me know in the comments
