What's up everybody, today I'm with b-boy Lil G, the famous Lil G
can you just a bit introduce yourself please
hello guys this is Lil G from Venezuela represent
speedy Angels, Red Bull BC One All Stars, team Vinotinto, Super Crew many Crews !
Okay just to remember you guys who is b-boy Lil G,
I show you some little footages of this incredible guy
you saw ? this guy is a real legend in powermoves, so now can you tell us a bit
your actuality what are you doing now with maybe red bull or your crew or everything
So now my activity is doing like workshop sometimes stay home with
friends, practice because I want to come back like more like before, because
sometimes it's difficult when every week traveling traveling to practice or right now it's
like that, I also organize event. Like two events
Criollo Style ?
Yes Criollo Style and BC One cypher
mm-hmm so sometimes have tour also with Red Bull and also some jobs different out off Red Bull
It's like that, Bboy Life, You know
working hard
Workshop, Juging, battles
Okay nice, so first part of the interview some questions where you can answer
by almost one word, okay, it's short answer.
So, since how many times are you doing powermoves ?
From 2005 I started like really serious
before I do like from the beginning, freezes, figure out my style. Footwork
how many hours do you training during a week if you include like maybe stretching or
workout and I know during all these years maybe sometimes it was more, now maybe less
right now right now just three hours per day
everyday yeah
okay cool
what's your favorite powermove ?
My favorite powermove is Ninety
For you what is the hardest powermove ?
the hardest powermove ...
maybe the one you got ...
Yeah for me, this one ... [Watch]
The one I created, It took me 3 years to learning ...
For you what is the biggest PowerMove battle ?
the biggest Powermove battle :
I think the World Powermove Series (WPS)
Can you give me three of your inspirations ?
Three inspirations from bboys ?
from bboy, or only powermovers or anything
okay, my inspiration first is family
my country you know many things when I'm back
I get many inspirations and of course for the new generation
a real inspiration New generation coming out every year
when I see these guys or bgirls or bboys I can see me when I
was young before okay let's go again
yeah let's give something yeah mmm yes good good
what are, for you, the qualities of a good powermover
the quality for a good powermover I think Express
you know, technique and hungry, express your style, be technique, be clean and be
like hungry because, it's power you know don't be like "okay I go" be like "okay you wanna kill"
What do you like in PowerMove ?
I like in powermove : Risk
I really like risk, you can be good in practice but when
you risk in battle it"s one opportunity. If you make it, it's history you know
something different
okay so now we go to the second
part now it's like more open questions so you can develop and give knowledge to
the people if you want
so what are the constraints, the bad things, of practicing powermove ?
maybe like injuries or hard work
when you do Power Move if you don't know how to do, of course you have so many injuries
you know, before I have one in my hand, my back and my food
because we want to do crazy move so we don't know how to do it. and sometimes we go, we do it
we don't care about the body we do it and when you feel the pain okay ...
we take care of this you know one time I have a liquid here in my elbow
yeah yeah yeah me too
I had one Time, now no anymore when I have one time injury now not
anymore so I start to go inside my arm and then it's like that but you're
learning also
yes yes we I try to give to the people this kind of
knowledge by the injuries I know powermoves got every time like tendons pain
or this kind of thing like you
you guys in Europe like you practice here and it's
really cold here in Europe yeah I know it's hard.
How do you think you can get style in PowerMove
I think to get different style, your own powermove, you have to figure out different ways
you're learning all basics moves
after that you have to figure out how to make different because it's like
a number never finish. Take the basics and then create like different way
example you take a basic move okay I go this hand or go to this elbow
different way and then you start to open your mind
do you think a powermover is important in a crew ? and why ?
Of Course and Powermove is always important in a
crew, the battle, everywhere because it's part of the bboying you know
you have to do also some powermove, windmill or whatever but we need this dynamic
giving like a new energy between the other guys of the crew
of course you you were talking about injuries but
are you taking care of your body and how you do it ?
of course when I got injured, before, I started to take care more my body, be careful
how I do it exercices really every day like this one
push ups, not to much, but everyday little workout. a hundred, one minute I start
this stretching because before when it was more young no stretching
sometime I wanted to learn some move and I don't know what happened I try a try
and then when I start to stretching, in two days I did it .
when you learning an easy thing
to make more easy your move you know.
Now everyday
stretching exercice be careful my foot being strong you know
I was talking this
summer with Funt (PMC) and he was talking about the same, like morning routine, like
balance, little stretching, little workouts
when you eat it every day, exercices not too much right maybe five or 10 min
it's good every day nice
last question what do you think about powermove
in the world right now ?
What I Think about powermore in the world right now
CRAZY because right now the level is going up the bboys are doing like
crazy move nobody can do, right now before we think : OK we can
do one hand (airflare) like this ? this is impossible now people do it
now one hand is basics
yeah it's basic so really inspiration many people try to do crazy move hard move
you know people can see in life you know no no only in the mind not only dream
people ten years ago imagine this move and now it's
like a normal move you see in battle you're like "oh cool" and see after it's
coming out more move crazy mmm new generation coming out with more creativity
when you see Russian kidz or Japanese kidz
really dope bboys
