So, one year for family Thanksgiving I was responsible for bringing something
that children would eat and found a great gelatin dessert that called for
lemon and lime jell-o and went to my pantry and realized that I only have
lime and orange. Mix the green, mix the orange and it might have been a very
brown color. I realized I probably needed to hide this wonderful dessert that I
was bringing so grabbed some whipped topping so that no one could see what
was beneath the surface. I thought it was gonna be a really big hit in the family.
As soon as that first scoop came out it kind of became then a big joke, right.
What is this? This is disgusting! Who made this? Why's it brown? Is it expired?
They could say it was delicious or whatever but I didn't eat it. I've ate bugs on a
dare but I was not about to put that stuff in my mouth. It really did break my
heart and make me feel really sad that it wasn't a hit. However it has been a
great family memory and a great reason to make fun of Melissa for several years
to come. The result of the brown gelatin was that I am now assigned to roll duty,
which means I get to bring something every year at a family Thanksgiving that
is intended to be brown.
