Tenrikyo Friends and Family Picnic - Duration: 4:08.
Hi today's Sunday April 29th, 5th Sunday of the month and we're having a
Tenrikyo family picnic at Garvey Ranch Park.
yeah so we're having a picnic out here as you can see at this park. A beautiful day and
we're just having all the Tenrikyo followers and friends come out.
with all our friends and families from Tenrikyo church who are in the Southern
California area today.
it's amazing I'm surprised that I could see so many people from LA here
the picnic is to gather all our friends and family to
come out here and have a leisure day in the park because what I think we yearn
for the most is to spend time together and not be so busy at church, have relaxation time
offer a fun family-friendly event where all the kids
and families related to the churches can gather together outside the usual
day-to-day Tenriyko activities or church activities that we usually have at Dendocho
The last picnic we did was 9 years ago and
I guess every so often we want to have an event out in the community
not Tenrikyo-related per se but just to have a good time
well we got a lot of the older folks with the younger generation and we're all getting together
this is a joint event with the Women's Association is
hosting but all the associations are helping out
and then we got the Seinen's helping with the food and setting everything up so you know
everyone's helping each other out so I feel like it's pretty good
and we got a bunch of games going on
play games I see some pinatas there so I'm excited for that
So far the turnouts been great we didn't expect this many people to show up and we're
really happy at the fact that a lot of people have expressed interest and
are very engaging and participating in activities like this
it's going good, everything's good. everyone's having fun I say it's a very joyous atmosphere
everyone's you know kind of catching up and there's a pretty good group from all over the place
this is the best, this is the best
we hope to have many of these events in the future again
it's a lot of fun. You don't really have to care too much, just enjoy the day
So please come out next time.

Ingredients: • 6 tablespoons of sugar; • 2 tablespoons of fruit juice; • 1 teaspoon lemon juice; • bamboo skewers or toothpicks.
Pour sugar into the pan.
Add lemon juice
Add fruit juice
Stirring all the time, bring to a boil.
After boiling, simmer until thick.
To check the readiness of caramel
Put a drop of caramel in cold water.
If it hardens, then it is ready
Grease the parchment with oil
Spread candy with a spoon
Insert the bamboo skewer into it. Twist it around its axis
Let the candies cool and separate them from the parchment.
