♫ They asked how it was coming along

♫ Next thing I knew

Hello everyone, it's Pierrick. In this video I'm going to show you 5 health benefits of walking.

The first health benefit of walking I wanted to talk to you about,

is that walking increases our life length. According to a British research,

staying inactive, can reduce our life length by 3 to 5 years.

To stay active, said this same British research,

we have to walk or practice a moderate physical activity

for at least 150 mins a week. This is equivalent to 20 to 30 mins of walk or moderate activity per day.

The second health benefit I wanted to talk to you about is that walking a minimum each day

is good for our heart and can reduce the risk of stroke by 20 to 35%.

The third health benefit I wanted to talk to you about is that walking a minimum each day is good for our lungs.

It can reduce the risk of lung cancer by 20%.

The fourth health benefit I wanted to talk to you about is that walking a minimum each day,

is good for our digestion and can reduce the risk of colon cancer by 30 to 50%.

And the fifth and last health benefit I wanted to talk to you about,

is that walking increases our happiness, so it can reduce our stress.

It can give us a better sleep and can reduce the risk of depression by 20 to 30%.
