Gwen Stefani Talks Taylor Swift/Katy Perry Feud & Being Away From Her 'Voice' Family - Duration: 2:28.
I don't remember ever there being a time with you when you were almost feuding with another
female recording artist.
Thank god.
What do you think of this Taylor Swift/Katy Perry thing?
Would you want to see them kind of bury the hatchet.
I don't like anyone to ever fight.
I'm a Libra.
I'm about -- Balance.
My name was about the peace-maker of the family.
I don't like it when you bring it it up.
It's making me uncomfortable.
So stop.
Right now.
Move on.
I'm sweating.
Gwen just wants everybody to get along which is why she loved being on "The Voice" for
three seasons saying the cast was one big happy family.
Is there any possibility or any conversation of you coming back?
I mean, I hope so.
They said it.
They said that you'll always be part of this family.
You said that, you guys, so we'll see.
I hope so.
I went down to the set because obviously Blake is always there.
Like they are shooting twice a year, and I saw Behati and saw the baby and got to see
Adam and see everybody.
Got to see Miley.
Yeah.
It's really a fun set.
Good vibes.
No fighting.
Gwen is busy making some fun of her own, expanding her design talents into a new Lamb and GX
collaboration and even modeling them for me.
A little tortoise shell.
That's an everyday look.
That would have been a statement for me.
Really?
Yeah.
Try these.
Okay.
I feel like these would look good on.
You how you doing?
It's like you become a completely different person.
You do.
It's like a mask.
Yeah.
What's my name would be like Denzel.
So my son, these are my favorite ones on him.
My name is Niall with these is glasses on.
Those actually look good, too.
You must have a small face because that's the junior's collection.
Okay.
I'll pretend you didn't just call me small.
I'll just pretend you didn't call me small, but it's cool.
No, you're very large shoulders, very -- Small face.
Yes, so now I'm also disproportionate in some way.

need to harvest them to make a paste with garlic and throw that in the
freezer that's such a good sauce on chicken or fish and some strawberries
tomatoes ours in the garden aren't quite ripe yet so I thought I would grab
those four cans of tuna fish that's not really doing anything there we go uh I
probably have a tuna fish a little once a week so I needed some of that I got

Family Drama and Life Lessons - "Waters Rising" - Full Free Maverick Movie - Duration: 1:28:22.
(haunting music)
(typewriter keys clicking)
(haunting music)
(steady thumping)
(rain falling)
(wind blowing)
- I want everything you love.
I wanna destroy everything you love.
I don't play an eye for an eye,
I play hell on earth.
(gunshots firing)
- [Gangster] That's the Desire Projects.
That's the place where I grew up,
where I gained and lost everything.
(mellow, rhythmic music)
♫ Part a the Loui
♫ Sheddin' two tears for my loss
- They had been saying for weeks that a storm was comin'.
For the first time, I could see it.
I just didn't think that it would hit us as hard as it did.
It was the worst hurricane in United States history.
The wind and the rain, blowin' through the city
destroying life after life.
They called it Hurricane Katrina.
I remember watching it unfold from my hotel room in Houston.
Thinkin' to myself, damn, people are out there dying,
trying to survive.
But it was just like any other day in the Ninth Ward.
But it didn't always look like that though.
(gun loading)
(labored breathing)
(gunshot firing)
(shell casing clinking)
- [Man] Hey! (gunshot firing)
(gunshots firing)
(typewriter keys clicking)
- [Gangster] Desire was just like the Garden of Eden,
after Eve bit the apple.
It was a dirty, nasty place to live.
Overpopulated, small shacks perpetratin' as homes,
criminals, murderers, drug dealers, drug users,
guns, violence, war in the streets.
This is where we live.
Wood frame houses covered with old paint.
If you was lookin' from outside,
you would swear nobody could live there.
Every day another murder.
It was like Iraq on our home turf.
And you know who cared?
Nobody, not even you.
They call me Gangster, my real name is Shawn,
but I hadn't heard that name in so long
that I forgot it was mine.
That's my girl Katrina, and her mother Ms. Johnson.
What I liked about her was the fact that she was so rough,
but she could never get away,
because Miss Johnson was into the Bible and
she was so strict.
- Yeah thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil.
Trina.
- Mam?
- [Gangster] Other than Katrina, and my boy Dirt,
who used to come over and play Sega Genesis with
me and Killer almost every day,
I didn't have many friends.
- Man I beat both a ya'll every time we play.
- [Both Boys] Man, shut up.
- [Gangster] All I had was my family.
But somewhere between here and there, somethin' changed.
Katrina started to look different to me.
She was pretty.
- [Carol] Hey, Dirt.
- Hey, Dirt.
Hey Dirt, wanna eat, boy?
Hey baby doll, go get Dirt a plate.
- Thank you, Mr. Phillips.
- [Gangster] It started with my daddy, he was a simple man.
More like a retarded friend than a dad.
- Hey don't be like me.
Don't kill for fun.
- [Gangster] They called him Awe Shit.
Whenever you seen him comin',
with that happy look in his eyes, it was like...
- Awe shit!
(gunshot firing)
- You hear me, huh?
- [Gangster] Whenever a big time pusher needed someone
around the way taken care of,
my daddy was the one they would call.
- You make your shit count.
- [Gangster] I think my daddy wanted us to carry out
his legacy of killin' people,
'cause he taught us about guns, and how to shoot people.
Shit, he even taught us who to shoot.
- Kill for the money.
- [Gangster] He nicknamed my younger brother Killer,
'cause he had that same happy look in his eyes.
He called me Gangster 'cause I was sneaky and cool.
- Dad left us, didn't he?
- [Gangster] But it happened one summer afternoon,
my daddy was gunned down by some boys off of
Benefit Street called BDP, Benefit Don't Play.
- Daddy, get up.
Come on daddy, get up.
- [Gangster] Him layin' there bleedin' from his head
with that happy look - Daddy, get up.
on his face.
- [Killer] Daddy.
I keep seein' that smile on his face,
and those dudes from the BDP killed him.
And he smiled like he was glad to be gone.
Like he wanted to leave us.
- Daddy always smiled, Killer, he was happy.
- You'd never do that,
would you, Shawn?
- Do what?
- Leave me.
- Never.
After his death, Killer and I hid all his guns
in a secret compartment.
We wasn't hidin' 'em from the police or nothin' like that,
we were hidin' 'em from our mother,
who had started smokin' crack,
and was quickly becoming a Ninth Ward crack whore.
- Hey boo, you holdin' somethin' for me?
- [Gangster] And while other kid's mother were known for
their macaroni and cheese,
my mother was known for her outstanding oral capabilities.
Crackhead Carol, man I hated that shit.
- What is that white man doin' in our mama's bedroom?
- [Gangster] Killer and I learned that we could
do somethin' about it.
- [White Man] Oh, oh my god, that was great.
- Okay, can I have my money?
- [Gangster] When it started,
I think I was just playin' gangster.
- Hey, your brats are in here with us.
- [Gangster] But Killer wasn't playin'.
- Come on, about my money, give me my money.
(gun cocking) (gunshots firing)
(screaming)
- See how I shot him?
Shot him dead in his head.
- [Gangster] That was my bullet.
- [Killer] So how much we lookin' at?
- 'Bout 500.
- Yeah.
I don't wanna go to jail.
- Man, we could pay the maintenance man $100
to bury this body underneath the swings.
- Cool.
- [Gangster] This ain't happen, okay?
Okay?
For two years after that,
my brother and I would terrorize the streets.
(light rap music)
Half our day was spent robbin' and killin' folks
like it wasn't shit.
Put the damn money in the hat.
- [Man] I'll take my belt off and whoop your ass.
- Man, give me all that damn money.
Every motherfuckin' thing, even the dice.
- [Killer] I don't care what you just got,
give it to me.
- That too, little mama, come on.
The other half was spent playin' in the playground
just like any other kid.
(light acoustic guitar music)
When I was 15, all I wanted to do was have sex.
And since Katrina was my female friend,
I figured I might as well have it with her.
- Where were you?
I thought you said you were gonna be here over an hour ago.
And where are your books?
- I forgot.
- Yeah right.
- Kiss me.
- I'm not kissin' you.
- Why not?
- Because you ain't my boyfriend.
- Come on, Katrina, stop frontin',
you know you wanna do this.
That's why you brought me up here.
- No, I brought you up here so we can talk about school,
and you really need to start goin'.
- I love you, Katrina.
- Are you serious?
Wait, what if my mother comes home?
- [Gangster] Dirt is watchin' out for your mama,
if she comes, he's gonna call from my house
and let the phone ring one time.
- You knew this was gonna happen, didn't you?
(light acoustic guitar music)
- [Gangster] And on that same night
while Katrina and I were losin' our virginities,
Killer had decided to make his mark alone.
I guess the word on the street was he couldn't
take a piss without me tellin' him to,
and he hated that shit.
(gun tapping)
- Aw man, damn, yeah baby, yeah.
(voice muffled by rap music)
- [Gangster] His idea was to steal a car,
and to sell it to a chop shop around the corner from us.
(knocking on door)
- [Killer] Gangster, open the door.
(knocking on door)
Come on.
- [Gangster] And he did everything right.
- Look what I got.
- [Gangster] He needed me to see what he had done.
Where you get the car?
- I swear he was just sittin' up at the stop light
chillin', so I just crept up on the side--
- [Gangster] Give me that keys.
- No.
- Give me the keys.
- No.
- Give me the keys.
Wait outside, I'll be out in a minute.
- Yo Killer, this a gangster-ass ride.
- I know.
Anyway, Dirt, check out that sound system.
- When Gangster comin' out?
- Man, he at the crib chillin' with his chicken head girl.
Here this nigger come now.
- Man, what's the fuck your problem
bringin' this car back here?
Get out.
- Man, you trippin'.
- Trippin', that's your problem, you don't think.
(car starting)
(sirens blaring)
I was free and clear, so was Killer.
But somethin' told me to go back.
- So this is why you left?
Where did you get this car?
- Get in the car.
(car door shutting)
- What's up?
- I want you to take this bag,
and promise me not to look in it.
- What's this, are you in some kind a trouble?
- No matter what happens, I love you.
- I love you too.
- Now get out.
- No, I wanna go with you.
- Get out.
(car idling)
(sirens blaring)
I gave five years of my life for that carjacking.
- [Police Radio] Go ahead and disregard the chase,
we got him (muffled).
- [Gangster] Things went real bad after I left.
Dirt's mother moved him to another ward across town.
- Pick that up Dirt, I'm tired of you bein' a project boy.
- [Gangster] Katrina and her strict-ass mama
was fightin' all the time,
but she and I got closer and closer.
Her letters kept me sane.
Killer needed to eat, so I told him to get a crew together.
Our mother was always in and out of rehab,
so Killer was just suppose to play Robin Hood,
and rob the rich to feed the family.
Instead, he turned our front porch into the dope spot.
Carol didn't mind.
Even if she did, what was she gonna do about it?
She was one of their best customers.
(light piano music)
She sent me books, and letters after letter.
We talked about the night we lost our virginities together,
and we talked about our future,
to move away from the Desire, buy a house,
live in a nice neighborhood,
raise some kids to be beautiful.
And live a normal life.
She held me down, and that's how she won my heart forever.
(mellow, relaxing jazzy music)
- What's happin', nigger?
- What's up, man?
Open the door, son.
When I got outta prison, there was no warm hellos,
no hugs, no celebrations of any kind.
(mellow, relaxing jazzy music)
Yo, pull over let me get somethin' to eat right quick.
- Man, I can't miss class.
Girl if I miss another class, I'm gonna have to withdraw
and I ain't tryin' do that.
- Here you go.
- I gave you a 20.
- You gave me a 5.
- [Customer] Bitch, I gave you a 20.
- Give me the map, Margie.
- No, Bill.
- Margie give me the fuckin' map!
- No, we have been driving around here for hours!
Why don't you go into the store and see if you can
navigate around that.
- Fine, I'm gonna get my own map when I'm in there.
- Oh, why don't you, good boy?
(car door slamming)
- I figured you just came home and shit
so, you wanted to get back in the game.
I hooked somethin' up.
- Ah, enough, you figured wrong, son.
I got plans ain't got nothin' to do with the game
this time, man.
- You sound stupid as a motherfucker, man.
If you ain't hustlin',
you ain't gettin' no motherfuckin' dough.
- Dude I'm straight bra, don't worry about me, man.
- Well I'll tell ya what, remember this?
- Yeah bra, that's daddy's favorite gun, man.
- You're gonna need that motherfucker.
- For what?
Killer you're goin' to get gas, huh bra,
I don't need no gun to get gas, man.
- [Man] Holler, holler, leap nigger.
Now when we spell it backwards, coward,
you know what I'm sayin'
Holler back, man.
- Oh no, this bitch is not tryin' to rob me.
- Look, who's next.
- I said, I gave you a 20.
- No, you gave me a five.
- Bitch, I gave you a 20, I know how much I gave you.
- [Clerk] Look, I'm not gonna give you anymore change.
- You gonna give me my change.
(gunshot firing) (customer gasping)
- Hey!
(gunshot firing) - Oh!
(gunshots firing)
- [Gangster] I had just walked out a prison five minutes ago
and already I was steppin' into Killer's shit again.
(gunshot firing)
I had promised Katrina that I wouldn't do this.
(gunshot firing)
But he was my brother,
and part of who he was, was because of me.
So I killed an innocent woman
to keep us both from goin' to jail.
I hope God will forgive me,
but I know I'm gonna have to pay for this,
I know I'm gonna have to pay.
(laid back rap music)
- John-John.
- Yo, what up, G?
It's good to have you home for--
- What the fuck is this, man?
Man, you sellin' dope now?
- No, I'm just choppin' rocks.
- Steady trippin', man.
- Trippin'?
From now on, no more choppin' rocks, you understand me?
- [Dirt] Killer needs--
- Man, no more.
From now on you go to school, you come home,
and you read every book you can possibly read.
- But Killer said--
- Man, fuck what Killer said.
That shit destroyed our mother,
and now ya'll motherfuckers are sellin' it!
- How else we suppose to eat?
You was in jail and mom was in rehab.
Man, Killer kept our butt alive.
- One of us gotta make it out a here
before we all die in this bitch.
- [Man] See lover boy, you gotta handle your business.
- Man, let me tell you somethin' boy,
John-John ain't fuckin' with this shit no more, bro.
- I talked to mama today,
she said she comin' home in a few days.
She gonna need one of ya'll come and pick her up.
She gonna be right this time, Gangster.
- [Gangster] You really believe that?
- I have to, she's my mom.
- [Gangster] Corey.
- What's up?
- Said but that's a wrap on John-John dealin'
with you with that, bro.
- Yeah I hear you.
Could we handle this business, bro?
- I gotta make a phone call, man.
- Well hurry up, man.
They gettin' restless and shit outside, bro.
- You kiddin', bra.
I don't think you hear me, bro.
I'm not dealing with you no more with this, man.
- I hear you but, I don't believe you.
Especially after what happened at that gas station.
But if you wanna keep foolin' yourself,
cool, go right ahead.
Just roll with me this one little time, bro.
You don't even have to get out the car.
Stay in the car.
- Man, bro.
See but it's my last time helpin' you bro,
you hear me?
- [Boy] Ya'll niggers been cheatin' the whole day.
- [Boy] Nigger, that's what you do, nigger.
Hey man.
- [Man] (laughing) I'm gonna have to hurt you bad, man.
- [Man] I'm gonna rip you, dog.
- [Man] Snastradomus.
(laughing)
- Play the fuckin' cards and stop cheatin'.
- Nigger that crazier than a motherfucker, man.
- [Gangster] What's up?
- What's happenin', nigger.
- What's up, my man.
- This is my crew man,
they been waitin' to meet you and shit.
- [Man] You know what I'm sayin'.
- This ugly bell pepper nose bitch,
this nigger name, this Dog.
- Nigger.
- [Killer] You feel what I'm sayin'?
This nigger from
New York and shit. - You look like a fuckin'
cheese stick, my nigger.
I know you ain't talkin' man. - You think all that shit
be good and all that shit.
- Everything good do come from New York, nigger.
We win everything, nigger.
We got championships, the mob, hustlin',
the best hoes, everything,
that's it. - And your nose, and your nose
(laughing)
- [Man] Man you know don't even know you have this nigger,
right here.
- [Man] Back in juvi I wear shit, man.
- Jack, you heard me, I love that nigger,
I love that nigger.
- [Man] What's up with the cards?
- Hold up.
- [Killer] That nigger is the scariest nigger I know.
That nigger scared a his own shadow, man.
- [Gangster] What?
- [Man] That nigger trippin', man.
- [Man] This ugly cat-eyed bitch.
- Fuck you, bitch.
- [Man] See this nigger right here, this New Jack.
- [Man] Play the fuckin' cards.
- [Man] He ain't the smartest nigger I know, but
he'll whoop a nigger ass bad, bad, bad.
- It ain't nothin' man, put the smack up,
man, what you got?
Yo, my nigger,
you Jamie Foxx impersonatin'-lookin' motherfucker.
- What you doin'?
- You fuckin' killer camp.
Look, you only got, you got hardly enough chips--
- Where my stack at, what happened to my stack anyway?
- Look, look, hey, the fuck up.
This what we got, on that bitch-ass nigger, Jay Dee.
I got plans for that nigger.
(telephone ringing)
- Hello.
- Come open the door.
- No.
- Girl, come open the door and quit playin'.
- What's the magic word?
- Black eye, now open the fuckin' door.
- [Katrina] I'm sorry, but black eye is not the magic word,
please try again.
- I think you're beautiful.
- Now that's more like it.
- Your mother still workin' nights?
- Yep, she gotta do what she gotta do.
- I know you looked inside of it.
- Of course I did, but I didn't take anything,
it's all in there.
- How much is in it?
- 300,000.
- $300,000?
- So where'd you get it?
- That night when I took that stolen car from Killer.
- I remember.
- Somethin' told me to go back to the trunk.
So I did, and that's where I found the money at.
- [Katrina] And you trusted me with it.
- [Gangster] It was the only person I could trust.
- Okay, so now what?
- Now it's time for me to start askin' you some questions.
- What?
- Where's the love at?
I'm thinkin' when I walk in the door,
you're gonna jump all on me and start cryin' and shit.
Instead you ain't do none a that.
You ain't even come with Killer to pick me up from prison.
You're askin' me questions like I'm still in there.
- So you just want me to jump all on you and attack you?
- [Gangster] I mean baby not attack me,
but show a nigger some love or somethin'.
- When you start keepin' your promises to me?
- What promises?
- You know what promises I'm talkin' about.
- You said when you came home,
you wanted to change your life,
move out the D and you know, start off new.
Are you still gonna buy a home?
What happened to that?
You still movin'?
- Still movin', and you're movin' with me.
- You didn't change a bit.
- I'm still a gangster.
Look, I know I said I was gonna pick that up tonight,
but I'm gonna have to come back later on and get it,
all right?
- Where you goin'?
- I'm just goin' with Killer to make sure
things go as planned, I'm not touchin' nothin'.
- Okay, so basically, now that you're home,
everything that you said to me doesn't apply.
- I'm gonna call you when I get ready to pick that up,
all right?
- Whatever.
- Yo.
Ya'll stick to the plan and keep it cool, you hear me?
That's my brother's girlfriend right there, Brea.
No one dare to talk to her,
because not only was she fuckin' Killer's crazy ass
on a daily basis, she was also fuckin' Jay Dee.
Who's Jay Dee?
Jay Dee, he always got muscle around him.
And I even heard that the nigger Dirt
is workin' for him now.
The big mean motherfucker with the black heart
and the evil eyes.
That's him right there.
- Doggy,
Got you over there all fly and shit,
what you thought you was on some come up shit?
(laughing)
I told you not to set up shop in my fuckin' city.
Didn't I?
Naw, you couldn't listen, couldn't listen.
Say Dog, what the fuck you havin' a, boy or a girl?
You probably don't even know, fuckin' around in my streets.
Look at 'em, Dog.
Look at 'em.
You love 'em, don't you?
Yeah, you fuckin' love 'em.
So you shouldn't of risked their lives,
by fuckin' around in my neck a the woods.
Now you got only yourself to blame for this shit, Dog.
You feel me?
You ever heard of hell on earth, Dog?
Welcome to motherfuckin' hell.
Go ahead and checkmate these hoes, man.
(gunshots firing)
Let his bitch ass live.
Let's go get some gumbo or somethin', I'm hungry as fuck.
- [Man In Black Hat] You motherfucker, checkmate you.
(laughing)
- [Gangster] The funny thing about Jay Dee,
his rise to prominence was directly thanks to me and Killer.
Remember that car that Killer stole?
The one that got me sent to prison.
Well the guy drivin' that car was Lil' Hogg,
and he had just finished buyin' some keys from
Big Sam Scully for a group of motherfuckers from Atlanta
called the Syndicate.
Big Sam Scully was the guy on top of the dope game
in New Orleans before Jay Dee.
And when the Syndicate found out about their money bein'
stolen, they assumed Big Sam Scully had them set up,
so they sent three of their best hit men down here
to New Orleans to handle that shit.
(gunshots firing)
Big Scully's death left room for an up and coming
dope dealer to plant his flag and take over
the entire New Orleans dope game.
- Oh lord, what the fuck this is, man?
- Come on man, you ain't never been to no
sex party before, man.
- No bro, straight as, cuz.
- Shit nigger, it's like a strip club,
but instead, you get to have sex with the ladies.
You gonna bag a shit ton cuz, I'm tellin' you.
- Hold on, hold on, hold on,
is that Jay Dee?
- Yep, that's Jay Dee, the man himself.
And ya'll see that dude sittin' next to him smokin'
a cigar, that's Chicago, his cousin.
Ya'll kick back, enjoy yourselves.
Killer's in the cut, tell him I'm gonna let him know
when the package went out, all right?
- [Man] Word.
- New York is better than ya'll niggers in every single way.
I'm gonna give ya'll props.
Nigger we got Hole, Big, Naz, Jayda,
nigger we got legends nigger, fuckin' legends.
- Damn girl, your ass got straight A's again?
- You know my mother, she would not let me in the house
without anything less.
- Who you goin' to the Zulu Ball with?
- The Zulu Ball is eight months away.
- Well um, Clarence asked me to talk to you about it.
- Pretty boy Clarence?
Sorry, I don't do pretty boys.
- What, you don't like pretty boys?

Been searchin' everywhere.
And my search is over 'cause I found the answer.
(light acoustic guitar music)
- [Gangster] Killer was truly what his name implied.
He didn't need permission.
He didn't need rhyme or reason.
If he wanted you dead, you might as well
lay the fuck down and die.
(sirens blaring) - No!
(crying)
No!
(crying)
Oh nigger, nigger.
Ain't fuckin' with me.
I'm gonna carve your name in 'em, nigger.
I'm gonna carve your fuckin' name in 'em, nigger.
Get him down, fuck!
- [Brea] I was worried about you tonight.
- [Killer] Worried about who, me?
I'm cool.
- [Brea] You was actin' so crazy I thought Chicago was gonna
kill you for sure.
- [Killer] Chicago ain't killin' shit.
Unless he killin' 'em in his afterlife.
- Oh, were you worried?
- For what?
- You know, like maybe I was gonna change my mind
and tell Jay Dee everything?
- You straight.
- How you know I'm straight?
- I can see it in your eyes you straight.
- Really?
What else do you see in my eyes?
- Nothin'.
- Is that what I'm seein'?

(laughing)
(typewriter keys clicking)

- What's up, babe?
You in a rush to go somewhere?
- You comin' with me?
- Are you serious?
- For real, for real.

- [Snowbunny] Yes, I did.
- Snowbunny what the fuck you lookin' at me like that for?
- Do you need anything else?
- Do I need anything else?
Bitch, you trippin'.
Yeah, I need somethin' else.
Did you make sure the receipts from last night
is in the fuckin' safe?
- Yeah, I did that about an hour ago.
- Get the fuck outta my face.
I'll have your ass swingin' from a fuckin' pole,
keep trippin'.
- [Dirt] Yo, what's up, Jay Dee?
- They killed my cousin.
I brought that motherfucker down here to keep him safe.
And they killed him.
But you know what, Dirt?
It's the motherfuckin' game, dog, that's how it goes.
Feel me?
- Well look, I could find out who whacked your fam
if you need me to.
- Killin' my cousin's murderer, that's personal.
That's personal.
The purpose of this meetin' is for business.
Somebody gotta replace him, are you ready for that?
Good, let's get to business.
I wanna know who the fuck robbed me last night.
I wanna know who planned it.
I wanna know everybody that was involved.
I need to know everything, dog.
You feel me?
- Well look, what I'm thinkin',
it was them niggers outta the east.
- Niggers from the east is pussies,
motherfuckin' vaginas.
It's only one click in New Orleans
that got enough balls to fuck with a nigger like me.
- Who that?
- Them boys out at the Desire Projects.
- I fuck with them niggers.
- Motherfucker you don't think I know you
fuck with these niggers?
You don't think I know that's your click?
You played hopscotch, played on the fuckin' monkey bar
with these hoes.
Is this gonna be a problem?
- No, it ain't gonna be no problem.
But Killer was at the party
when the robbery shit jumped off.
- Killer, this motherfucker here is a piece a work,
he's a pussy.
Sat his ass in here, didn't drink, didn't fuck.
All the ass we had up in here last night.
This motherfucker didn't even as much get a lap dance.
- So look, what you sayin' is, this nigger was watchin' us
the whole time we was watchin' him?
- A smokescreen, for sure.
- You want me to kill him?
- No, killin' him,
we wouldn't be destroying the right man's life.
(R&B music)
- So what'da you think?
- It's absolutely beautiful, he'll take it.
- Whoa, let's see what else she got to offer us, baby.
- Sure honey, I don't really think she has anything else
to offer us.
Look at this house.
Two floors.
Look at this, look at this.
Look how much space, beautiful neighborhood.
Probably beautiful neighbors too, right?
- Of course.
- I'll take it.
- Okay, the first thing we need to do is a credit check.
- How much?
- Well it is a $100,000 house,
so if you want your mortgage to be low
you might wanna pay--
- I have something for you.
Here's 100,000 on the dot, when can we move in?
- I think it's Gangster.
But I need to know for sure.
So I need you to go down to the Desire Projects
and find me a (whistling),
a fuckin' songbird boy,
you feel me?
- So you want me to go down there.
- Motherfucker, you scared?
- Naw nigger, I ain't scared,
but it ain't like these niggers gonna just tell us shit.
Man these nigger's organization is solid.
- I'm gonna tell you somethin' Dirt,
and I don't want you to ever forget this shit.
In every motherfuckin' click, there's a weak link.
All you gotta do is kill the right member in that click,
and give that weak motherfucker an invitation,
and I promise you, I guarantee you,
I'll put this on Chicago's life a second time nigger,
that weak motherfucker will come runnin' to you.
Handle your motherfuckin' business, checkmate that hoe.
(typewriter keys clicking)
(telephone ringing)
- Desire Florida Community Clinic.
I'm sorry, Doctor Jones is not in.
Would you like me to page him?
One second.

- Oh they finally let me outta this place,

I was tryin' to figure out who I can call for a ride though,
I'm not sure.
- I'd give you a ride home.
- [Carol] You'd give me a ride?
- Oh course.
- [Katrina] These kids in the neighborhood really look up
to you, doesn't that bother you?
- [Gangster] Why should it bother me?
- [Katrina] Because of you,
most of these kids will be dead or in jail
before they even reach their full potential.
They'll never have a chance to even discover
who they really are,
or what gifts they might have had to offer the world.
They'll be running about the D lookin' like gangsters,
just like you.
- [Gangster] That's fucked up, Katrina.
- [Katrina] Listen babe, I'm not--
- [Gangster] I'm just sayin', that's fucked up.
- [Katrina] I'm not sayin' that you're not a good person.
I just think it's time for you to prove it.
Don't you?
(laughing)
- Hey mama, what's goin' on?
- [Carol] Hey baby.
- [Killer] Fuck you mean, you givin' my mama rides

- [Gangster] Yeah, that's that nigger Dirt comin' out
my mama apartment.
- And look at Killer, what happened?
Babe wait a minute, can you please take me to the store,
I need to go do somethin' for my mom.
- Hold up, I wanna go see what's happenin' up in here.
- So how're your grades?
- All right.
- All right?
What happened to some A's, maybe some B's or somethin'?
- [Killer] What the fuck you ridin' with Dirt for?
- Why you so mad, I thought that was your friend?
- He work for my motherfucking enemy.
What you talkin' to that nigger, man?

- Man, calm down, man. - Fuck that nigger, man.
- Man, Jay Dee don't know nothin', man.
- Calm down?
Nigger, fuck calmin' down.
That nigger tryin' to kill us and everybody we love.
- Go get Yike and them in here and let me

You just a soft bitch that probably got fucked in prison.
You ain't tryin' to get out the game,

- Look, I ain't scared a shit.
But unlike you, I see my reason to live.
- Get the fuck out.
- Nigger, what is that?
- Let him go, Shawn.
- [Killer] Bitch-ass nigger.
- Look, look at this nigger right here.
See him, see how he dress?
That's how niggers in New York dress.
Dead ass serious, Timberland's--
- I know you all niggers was gettin' blow jobs from my
motherfuckin' moms and shit, when she was cracked out.
But she clean and she sober now.
So if I see ya'll niggers give her as much as a

Bitch-ass niggers.
- [Man] This nigger trippin' man.
What you was sayin' now?
- Why is Killer so angry at Jay Dee?

- The other day, in bed.
- Oh, man.
Man.
- [Gangster] No.
- Well, he used to bring her round here all the time,
and then he just stopped.
- Why did he stop?
- She wasn't his, I mean not really.
She was seein' somebody else.
- Jay Dee?
- That's what the word is on the streets.
- Ah but Killer woulda dropped her ass
as soon as he found out about that, mom.
- Normally, if he didn't love her.
- Oh, that's crazy.
- You gonna have to save him from himself, Shawn.
- Naw, Killer on the wrong road this time, ma
and I don't wanna be nowhere near the car when it crash.
- And so if he dies, how you gonna feel then, huh?
You gonna take responsibility for that?
- Will you?
- Well yeah, I mean that's why I'm askin' you to save him
one last time.
(phone ringing)
- What's happenin'?
- I need some help too, Shawn.
I need some money.

across the street and somebody almost got shot.
- Well nobody almost got shot.

(crying)
(sobbing)
(typewriter keys clicking)
(slow, jazzy music)
- [Gangster] Ms. Johnson would call Katrina and pray for her
on the phone.
The crackhead Carol was focusin' all her attention
on raisin' John-John, which was actually pretty cool.
I moved Katrina in.
I mean she was havin' problems with her mother anyway,
so it was pretty much a no-brainer.
We just hung out, spent money,
you know had a lot a fun together.
(upbeat, jazzy music)
Robbin' Jay Dee was a bad idea from the start.
He owned New Orleans.
Everything that he had was there.
Without it, he was nothin'.
- Look man, this the deal.
This where them niggers be hangin' out,
this where they cut it up, and they distribute it,
and they pushin' it, and it all come back to the home base.
I'm only talkin' to ya'll hoe ass niggers 'cause
ya'll sad ass done brought family in it man,
this ain't got nothin' to do with my moms.
I'm 'bought to leave this shit alone forever, man.
Them niggers ain't gonna take 'em out neither, man.

- [Jay Dee] You're lucky you're breathin'.
(typewriter keys clicking)
(serious music)

I been thinkin' about gettin' a business degree, you know.
- Wow.
- Yeah, you can't be the only one in our family
with a degree.
- Our family.
You know I kinda like the way that sounds.
- What's up?
- Oh, you almost made me forget.
You know I was in the kitchen cookin' us a fabulous meal,
and it just came to me,
lookin' at the den and the table.
We've been walkin' around here doing something
like everything is okay.
I'm takin' these off.
Why is it that we haven't made love in the den?
You don't find me sexy in the den?
(moaning)
- I been waitin' for you to bring it to me.
- [Katrina] And I've been waitin' for you to take it.
You playin' games?
- No, I been here waitin' for one.
- Oh, shit.
(rap music)
(slapping)
(kicking) (groaning)
(rap music)
- [John-John] Mom!
- [Carol] Oh, boy you scared the hell outta me, yeah.
- [John-John] My fault.
- [Carol] You all right?
- [John-John] I'm straight.
- [Carol] Okay then, um,
Okay, um, why don't you go to your room and
do your homework, okay baby?
Why you lookin' at me like that, I look crazy or somethin'?
- No, you look pretty, I'm just glad you're home.
- Well your brothers don't think I'm gonna stay clean
this time, but mama promises you I'm gonna stay clean, okay?
- They're stupid.
- No they not stupid.
They smart, they just don't think I'm gonna stay clean
this time, but mama's gonna stay clean, okay?
Okay, mama be right back.
- [Carol] Hey man, there you are,
I been lookin' all over for you.
How you doin', Yikes?
- [Yikes] I'm fine, what's up with you?
How you doin', Miss?

- [Carol] So, what you selling?
- [Yikes] I ain't selling (whispering).
- [Carol] Now you know you look like you sellin' somethin'
Yikes, what you got?
- [Yikes] No man, no, I ain't sellin' nothin'.
Nothin'.
- [Carol] Well, well you know how I do it.
Give me a little crack for a blow.
- [Yikes] I can't.
- [Carol] What you mean, you can't.
- [Yikes] Killer said no, so it's no, man.
- [Carol] Ki...
(sighing)
- This is such a beautiful life.
I never thought I could be this happy.
- You happy?
- Yeah.
- Uh, you really happy, huh?
- Yeah.
But I feel guilty.
- About what?
- My mom, I know she's worried about me.
She keeps callin' me on the phone, praying.
(phone ringing)
Whoever that is, it better be important, Shawn.
- Let me see what's happenin'.
Yo.
Man calm down, man, what's up?
Yeah, I'll be there in a minute.
(Katrina sighing)
- So I guess the honeymoon is over.
(phone ringing)
You're killin' me.
- Hello.
Yeah, what's happenin', Dirt?
How you get this number, bro?
Yeah, all right.
Huh.
- Where do you think you're goin'?
- Naw, this won't take long, baby.
- Is it legal?
You know I don't want you to leave.
- Yeah, it's legal.
- Shawn, if you sense any trouble,
I don't care if it means the difference between your brother
living or dying, I want you to walk away.
- I promise I'll walk away.
- Another promise, look me in my eyes and tell me
you will walk away.
- I promise.
I left Katrina alone and happier than she could ever be,
but like everyone else around us, she desired more.
- [New Jack] Man Yikes, hurry up and open up
the fuckin' door, man.
- [Yikes] New Jack you need to stop talking--
- [New Jack] Bitch, fuck you, speakin' a that,
last night I was with this hoe, bro--
- [Yikes] Hey yo, what's up with the lights man?
(laughing)
(gunshots firing)
- What's happenin', Dirt?

Man, you know I used to love these playgrounds
and this shit when we was younger.
G, life used to be so much fun back then, bro.
- Life's still fun, man.
- No it ain't.
It's a trick.
Soon as you think you comfortable,
soon as you start to feel like you happy, bamn,
your whole world just come crashin' in.
- What you call me down here for, man?
- Man look, we was tight.
You used to be like family before my people
moved out the project.
- I'm sayin' man, you gonna tell me why you called me
down here tonight bro,
or you just needed somebody to talk to?
- Look Gangster, I'm tryin' to save your life.
- Save my life, save my life how?
- We already got three a your crew,
Dog, he left town earlier.
Yikes and New Jack, well, that leave three a ya'll.
- Three of us, what you talkin' about?
- Oh, oh yeah, oh yeah.
Brea, she not necessarily part a the crew,
but she did help out with the robbery.
So Jay Dee, he holdin' her for ransom.
- Ransom for what, man?
- For his motherfuckin' money, nigger,
what you think we been talkin' about all this time?
- Look bro, I don't give a fuck what Dog told you,
I didn't have shit to do with robbin' Jay Dee,
you hear me?
- [Dirt] Well you give a fuck what Killer told us?
- Come on man, Killer wouldn't tell you shit, man.
- Look Gangster, Killer in love.
We got his girl, that nigger promised to bring Jay Dee
his money, with interest, tonight.
- So what Jay Dee really up to, man?
- Dude want both a ya'll dead.
But you and Killer, ya'll are like brothers to me.
So, I can't save Killer, but I can try and save you.
But knowin' you, you gonna try and save Killer.
- That's my brother, man.
- Well look, this conversation never happened,
but check this, they got a big hurricane comin' our way.
Get your family, get all your shit, get everything together,
and get outta town man,
'cause I know what Jay Dee got planned for you boys,
and ya'll don't want none a that.
- We don't want none.
- No.
- All right.
- You're beautiful.
- You just sayin' that 'cause I'm your mama, yeah.
- It's true.
'Cause if you wasn't my mama, I'd be like,
damn babe, you fine as hell.
(Carol laughing)
- You silly boy.
You know why I'm lookin' in that mirror?
- You're doin' what a woman do.
You playin' in the mirror.
- No, I'm occupyin' my mind,
'cause if I don't occupy my mind,
I'm just gonna think about gettin' high.
- Hey let me look in this mirror.
Damn ma, you ever realize how good I look?
(Carol laughing)
With these good looks, and this linebacker body,
that's a recipe for success.
I'm gonna be a pro football star when I grow up,
and I'm gonna buy you the world,
occupy your mind with that.
- See that's why you my boo.
Oh your shoe's untied.
(horn honking)
(muffled)
- I just got here.
(car door slamming)
- Hey what you doin' around here right now?
- I came to talk to my mom, but I attacked her.
I didn't mean to do it, but I pushed her down to the ground.
What kind of a person hits their own mother, huh?
- Tell your mama you're sorry about what happened--
- How do I go back from that?
I mean what kind of a person does that to their mother?
- You keep goin' back.
- What do you mean? - Tell her how much
you love her. - I have to find
a way to make this right.
- No baby, listen, if it don't work you're just gonna
have to try again tomorrow.
Baby come here, listen.
- No, listen.
She's all that I have.
- In this world you know,
family is the most important thing you have,
no matter how fucked up it is.
- You're not even talkin' about me anymore.
You're talkin' about your brother, aren't you?
Somethin's wrong and you're about to go do somethin'
to get yourself thrown in jail, or killed.
- Listen.
- Oh yeah.
- I'm just goin' with Killer for a little while,
I'm not gonna get into nothin' dangerous, all right.
- So you mean to tell me that you see how I am
and you're about to leave me to go get into
god knows what, which could get you killed
or thrown into jail?
So can you stop lyin' to me?
- You know what, I don't have time for this shit right now.
Go to your mother's house, tell her you're sorry,
stay the night, do whatever you gotta do
and call me in the morning, all right?
- [Katrina] Shawn can I ask you a question?
- You know what's goin' on.
You know somethin' is goin' on,
I don't need you around here right now.
- What do you desire?
- I desire you.
- Why don't you come with me?
- Call me in the morning, all right?
(car beeping)
I had memories.
I didn't realize how much they had effected me until now.
But the very thought of some of the things
that I had gone through were beginnin' to make me nauseous.
(gunshot firing)
(rain falling)
The most haunting memory
was the sight of my mother givin' a blowjob.
- Shawn, what's wrong with you?
- Just tyin' his shoe, that was all?
- What else are we gonna be doin', stupid ass?
- [Carol] Watch your mouth.
You all right?
- Is he all right?
He the one who almost shot me.
I can't be goin' through this shit like this,
I have a future.
- [Gangster] Where Killer at?
- I don't know, we ain't seen him.
- [Gangster] Fine, where he at?
- I don't know, but when you find him,
you make sure you give him this, okay.
And you tell him that I love him and that I'm sorry.
And be careful, okay.
(car horn honking)
Boy, get that other shoe.
(thunder clapping)
(car horn honking)
- Your girl outta the way?
- Man, she's straight, man.
- I ever told you how much I hated guns?
I mean if it wasn't for guns,
daddy woulda loved us enough to stay alive.
Maybe then, mama wouldn't a been a fuckin' basehead,
woulda had a normal childhood.
- Killer, is that what I think it is, man?
- If it weren't for guns,
I wouldn'ta went in your house,
took that money.
'Cause I wouldn'ta needed it.
I do need it, G.
Jay Dee want his money plus interest.
- So you stole from your own brother, bro?
- I knew you had it.
When Big Sam Scully got killed,
I figured you took the money out the car.
But I wasn't sure, but you did.
- Killer, I want you to listen to me, bro.
I gave five years a my life for that money, man.
Five years, man.
And I'll be damned if I'm gonna let them
the motherfuckers from Atlanta come back and take it
'cause one a ya'll couldn't keep ya'll fuckin' mouth shut.
- Somebody like me, man.
- Yeah man, when you get angry you don't think, killer.
- No, I don't.
But I ain't mad at you.
And I hope you ain't mad at me.
Right now,
I gotta take this money to help Brea.
- Man Brea already dead, Killer.
Yeah, man.
Brea already dead, man.
- No (crying).
We had a deal.
- And what that's worth, Killer?
Don't be stupid.
If you go in there right now and bring Jay Dee that money,
that's tellin' him we robbed him, and all us are dead.
- I gotta do it.
This is the first time in my life,
I see a future.
And I'm in it.
And I see my wife,
my kids.
I see John-John runnin' a corporation.
I see mama,
she look good.
(thunder rumbling)
A future worth fightin' for.
- You ready to do this, man?
(car starting)
Shit, we held our own for a minute,
but that two against 20 shit only work in the Asian movies.
(men yelling)
(gunshots firing)
After our ammo ran out, we was dead as fried chicken,
and completely at Jay Dee's mercy.
(disjointed voices talking)
(steady thumping)
- [Killer] I'm sorry.
- You sorry?
Motherfucker I was sorry too,
when I saw my family up on that slide, nigger.
Yeah, we all sorry in this motherfucker now,
look now, huh, we all sorry.
And as far as for you, Gangster,
it's not enough just to take some of your life.
I wanna destroy all your life, you hear me?
All of it.
I don't play eye for eye, I play hell on earth, nigger.
Includin' that little bitch across the street.
Yeah.
- Bitch, get off me.
(Killer groaning)
- Checkmate them motherfuckers.
(gunshot firing)
(door breaking)
- [Carol] No!
- [John-John] What're you doin' in my house?
- [Carol] No!
- [John-John] Get away from my mom.
- [Carol] Run John-John, run.
No!
(gunshots firing)
(slow, sorrowful music)
(typewriting keys clicking)
- [Announcer] It appears New Orleans has dodged a bullet.
- [Man] Well you know, we're optimistic that
we're hearin' that the storm is weakening somewhat,
but we're still very cautious.
(typewriter keys clicking)
- [Announcer] Evacuees that are jammed in the Superdome.
- [Announcer] And at this very moment they have just closed
the steel doors of the Superdome.
This is the moment where it occurs to everyone
simultaneously that (muffled) up all night
is not sustainable.
- [Announcer] The stadium struggles against the storm.
It's an obvious question.
- We're dealing with one of the worst natural disasters
in our nation's history.
(typewriter keys clicking)
- [Gangster] Nah, I didn't die that night.
Jay Dee wanted me to suffer, by living.
I think about what type of man I would be
if Katrina and I hadn't gotten out of New Orleans
the night our families were murdered.
How consumed with hate and revenge I would've been,
even now, starin' at Jay Dee, years later.
Knowin' what Katrina had stolen from him.
His livelihood, his power, and his dignity.
I wonder if I had a gun,
- Babe come help me.
- Would I kill him?
You got everything you needed?
- Did you figure out how to start your book?
- Yeah, I think I just did.
When you think about it, family's all that really matters.
I thank god every day for mine, especially for Katrina.
And our unborn child.
She and I have been through the storm,
and we survived it.
Not everybody can say that.
People died.
Lives get torn apart.
I think about the good things that happened
because of what we had to go through back in New Orleans.
How hope sprang from the waters,
and the sun began to shine on a brighter tomorrow.
I watched people who had nothin' start over
with a chance to do better.
And it brings me peace every time.
♫ Everyone one that I know

♫ For the exception of me
♫ Oh why does it have to be this way
♫ Anticipating
♫ You got me waiting
♫ To feel this far deep down inside
♫ Concentrating
♫ Waiting, you fading
♫ From the figure that's not a part of your life
♫ I always failed to stand from my peers
♫ We're all accidents

EastEnders spoilers: Steven Beale to murder own family member as cancer secret revealed?
He has been telling his partner Lauren Branning that he is dying from a terminal brain tumour and only has three months to live.
Lauren, who had been planning on leaving him, has resigned herself to getting married and sharing custody with him to keep him happy.
Max Branning is currently the only person who knows that Steven is making it all up, and used that information to blackmail Steven in to killing unwanted residents in one of his properties.
DEVASTATED: Ian is set to be horrified when Stevens illness is revealed.
Steven did it, and it looks like he could have developed a taste for it. In coming weeks, Ian is set to find out that Steven is ill, and is devastated.
He has been in touch with murderer son Bobby, who killed his only daughter Lucy, making him realise how much he needs his children around him.
SUSPICIOUS: Jane makes a shocking discovery in EastEnders.
IN DANGER: Jane could find herself on the wrong side of Steven.
Ian makes it his mission to find alternative treatment for Steven, even extending his search to America. Jane puts pressure on the situation, causing Steven to snap at Jane and tell her to back off.
Becoming suspicious, Jane makes a shocking discovery about his illness - and confronts him over it.
FOUND OUT?: What lengths will Steven go to to keep his secret?. With Stevens previous history of attacking Jane, after he shot her back in 2007 and rendered her infertile, it looks like things could turn violent again.
Will Steven resort to killing once again in order to keep his secret safe? EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC.
