Hi everybody,
I hope you are well !
You've been overwhelming to vote for your favorite gesture in the previous video
It means a lot for me.
Today we will see your favorite gesture:
It was the Up to Front
We will see what are the steps to succeed a good up to front
Let's go !
So to make a good up to front
You must already know how to do a bunny hop!
If you do not know how to do bunny hop,
I put you the link of the tutorial bunny hop in the description.
So first step to make a good up to front :
You will arrive in front of the march
with a moderate speed, a speed where you feel comfortable.
You will bend your arms, bend your legs and take a pulse to take off the front wheel.
Once the front wheel is lifted,
You are aiming at the edge of the step
This is a very important step because the more you plant the front wheel
in the corner of the step and more it will be easy to climb this obstacle
Once you have visualize the area where you are going to put your front wheel,
you will take off your rear wheel.
For this you will stretch on the bike and take off the rear wheel.
The body is going to be very forward
to be able to plant the front wheel first.
If all goes well, the front wheel will land on the corner of the step
There you will lock your front brake, lock the rear brake
and put you very forward to rise the rear wheel up.
When the rear wheel goes up, you will be able to manage your balance with your body by moving it forward or back
At this point, there are several techniques you can use,
Either you can slide your front brake to raise your rear wheel slowly,
Or you can switch directly on the rear wheel,
Or you can turn and rotate the rear wheel on the step.
Personally I prefer to switch directly on the rear wheel.
I think it's a very versatile technique and I use it practically all the time.
To switch on the rear wheel,
we will release the front brake, pull on the arms while you swing backwards.
You will then push the bike on the step
For that I will push on my arms, on my legs and put me behind to be able to push the bike over the obstacle.
At this point I will brake the rear brake.
It will allow me to be in a neutral position
and here I could decide if I want to stay in the back wheel or not.
The up to front is super versatile.
You will be able to make many line with it
either by switch directly on the rear wheel as I just explained,
Either you will be able to pivot on the front wheel to be able to mount the obstacle.
As here for example:
Up to front,
I swing my rear wheel and I go out in footjamwhip.
The main difficulty of this tutorial is to hang the corner of the step with the front wheel.
The more you will be on the corner, the easier your bike gets on the wall.
That's it for this video ans that's it for this tutorial!
The next is coming very soon!
You have been many to vote for the sidehop tutorial so the howto will arrive next week or in 2 weeks.
