How to Cut Cucumber for Sushi | Learn How to Make Sushi - Duration: 2:03.

Hi my name is Dan and this video supports my online sushi course on udemy.com

And you can learn more about the video lectures in the link below.

When it comes to selecting what kind of cucumbers to use for sushi.

I strongly suggest using English cucumbers.

They're easy to work with because for one they're typically always straight,

and two, the skin is very thin and delicate so you don't even have to bother with skinning it.

And lastly, they're much more consistent in taste.

Sometimes when you buy kirby or your typical garden cukes.

They might be spongy and lacking in flavor,

so I suggest paying the small premium and upgrade to the English cukes if you can.

So as shown before, go ahead and cut the cucumber into sections roughly the

width of four fingers.

And you'll get to see later on why this length is so important.

Afterwards, go ahead and quarter it and carefully slice off the seeds

and cut each piece into about 3 to 4 slices.

You can adjust the thickness if you want,

some people prefer smaller slices because they don't want

the hard crunch when they bite down on their sushi so cut whatever thickness you prefer.

The reason why it's important to cut the cucumber's into the length of roughly 4 fingers,

is because that is about the length of half a sushi roll.

This way you'll get a full coverage from end to end.

Also there are several ways of cutting cucumber for sushi

but the method I show is the most practical way to learn it at home.

Some restaurants will fillet the cucumber into your long sheet and then julienne it into smaller sticks.

But this takes a really long time to master.

but if you do prefer smaller cucumber sticks there is an easier way to do this.

Just like before cut into the right length and seed it.

Now split it in half and slice it into sticks.

This is great if you just want to add a little bit of

crunchiness to your sushi roll without too much cucumber.

You can try this method and compare it to the first way and see what you like better.

How To Make A Minecraft Mod | Custom Potion Icons - Duration: 11:12.

Hey guys, what's going on?

This is ChampionAsh5357 logging in for another episode of How To Make A Minecraft Mod.

Now, this is just a test episode to see if my internet's working.

If it is, then I will continue making more videos. If it isn't, then I won't.

This video will still go up for regardless. So, hi everybody. I'm here. I'm not dead.

Yeah.

So today

we're gonna do something that's not version specific,

which as far as I know it can be done from the earliest version of Minecraft

which is 1.0.0 to the latest version of Minecraft

which is right now 1.12 and 1.13

which is going to come out in a month or two or a couple of months from now.

So,

today we're going to be talking about potion icons.

Yes. Now if you're wondering,

I did already make a video on potions

and you need to watch that before you continue on with this episode. So if you haven't watched it, stop this episode,

put in your watch later list, and then come back to it after you've watched the potions video.

It'll be in the info card and in the description below for you guys to watch.

Now, I originally said that potion icons were impossible

mainly for the reason is that it only takes 24 slots out of the entire inventory

which is if I pull up the inventory picture here.

It takes up these 24 slots, and anymore it loops back around to the inventory container which

unfortunately, we don't want our texture to be all over the inventory container. So, I thought it was impossible at first until

I took a little bit of a further look into the code.

So, if we go into where the GUI in game is registered to render the potion effects we can see

that the status icon image is registered right here as this.drawTexturedModalRect().

Now, the potion is still registered in the game regardless of the thing,

but it checks if it has a status icon, and this code is actually the most important thing of them all.

So, if we click on it we

can actually see that this just checks if this.statusIconIndex is greater than or equal to zero because if it was less

than zero, it'd cause some mapping issues because -1 and the modulo of that for 8

would be very very very bad.

Let's leave it at that.

So, we're going to

exploit this a little bit of if statement to make it so that we can add our own custom image.

So, first go into that PotionFly class or whatever potion you created back when you started.

Press ENTER twice or however you wanna do it, and then press Ctrl+Space or Cmd+Space depending on what version of OS you're using:

Ctrl+Space for Windows, Cmd+Space for Mac. Of course, I'm on a Windows so that's what I'm using.

We're then going to type in hasStatusIcon(). Now, it's going to do the super.hasStatusIcon(), which just basically

links it back to this original code, but we don't really care because it's going to have the icon index regardless.

So, we're gonna have this return true

no matter what and

then we're going to actually leave it. We're gonna add a code before it which is Minecraft

.getMinecraft()

.renderEngine because that's where we register our textures

.bindTexture(), and then this will be a new ResourceLocation().

So, where do we want this resource location to go to? Now, it really doesn't matter for you guys, but I prefer sticking with standard Minecraft policy

which is you go into

Reference.MOD_ID

and there's two ways you can do this. You can do it with the colon or another way, if you guys prefer it,

put a comma and then just continue on writing because it does the exact same thing.

We're going to go to textures/

gui/

container and then I'm just gonna type in custom_effects

Just like that .png or if it's JPEG .jpg.

It really doesn't matter but for most of them keep it as PNG, and

this code is the most important. Now, we're going to look for setIconIndex(). We're going to set this to 0, 0.

So in this case 0,0 because it's decent and I'll explain why in a minute.

Now, we need to create that custom potion icon. So, open up a new thing

create it 18 by 18 and

then 300 because that's how I like my resolution. You guys don't have to have it like that, and now we're gonna create a custom

potion icon. Now,

I don't really know what I want

but I want something interesting. So, I am going to do with my pencil and

let's see

my view,

edit. I

honestly have no idea where to do to pull up the color wheel. There it is: color wheel, and I'm just gonna have a nice,

little, yellow thing coming here like that and

then some black

here

for my fly potion.

Maybe I prefer some red as well like red

attaching here and here. As you can tell, I am the greatest pixel art drawer of them all and

some right going into the corners and then

finally some gray

to fill up the rest of this loop

just like that, and

then that's all we need. Now, don't save this yet. We're just gonna copy and paste it pretty much.

So, we're gonna copy this image, create a new image that is 256 by 256. Now, for anybody who hasn't guessed yet,

256 by 256 is the default and

standard size for any GUI container regardless. You will always have it at 256 by 256 no matter what.

Then we're actually going to find

pixel 178.

Specifically that pixel out of all of them, and I'm gonna explain why right now.

Pixel 178 is the default pixel for where the bar will be placed. So if you see here it says

198 plus i1

divided by 8 times 18. Oh sorry, 198. I didn't mean 178, I meant 198.

So,. Because if we put 0 in here

which our i1 is 0 because it's the getStatusIconIndex().

Since this is in slot 0, it's going to be going 0 divided by 8 times 18 is 0

and 198 plus is 0 is

198. So that will be our y coordinate our x coordinate will be 0 modulo 8 which is 0, because there's no remainder,

times 18. So, we're gonna put it at 0,

198 and just to make sure, if you really want to check, we can go here. We can hover our cursor over here select the

198 pixel, and we can see that it says 0,

198 on the bottom here. That says that we have selected the 0, 198 pixel.

So, we're gonna find that pixel. It's right around here.

So, is this the 0, 198? No, it's one lower.

So right here is 0, 198 and

just for convenience sake, I'm going to mark it with a black dot to say that this is our coordinate.

So, as they say right here. Yep, 0, 198,

and I'm going to Ctrl+V our other image in here. I'm gonna

hover it so that the image hovers right into that pixel,

and then I'm going to save it.

It's going to be saved in

wherever you have your folder, src/main/

resources/assets/

your mod ID/

textures/gui/container or wherever you saved it to, and it has to be the exact name you put here

so I'm just gonna copy and paste it which is custom_effects.png.

Copy and

paste,

save, and make sure it's 32-bit--you cannot have it as anything other than 32-bit--click OK,

and then you're all done you don't need any of these tabs open again.

Now for anybody who doesn't know, you can store up to 24 by default. You can even have more if you set this to 9

because then it will loop back around to the beginning

because 9 divided by 8 is 1.99 times 18 plus 198. It will loop back to the beginning of the

code so that you guys can do it again.

So.

Oh, 9/8 is not 1.99, it's 1.125.

Sorry.

So now that we have this in here,

we need to just save the game, we need to load it up, and then we can load into the world,

grab that custom potion that we created in gamemode 1.

That is not how you spell gamemode 1.

Do E. We're going to go into potions

then

fly

and if you look in the top right hand corner,

we now have our custom icon right there in both locations with no weird looking GUI

and, no matter what, this will work for anything. It won't even replace the other potions.

So if we do potion of fire resistance, you'll still have the fire resistance icon.

Now, this is a very simple exploit.

Basically, whenever it checks for a hasStatusIcon(), it checks for that

specific potion. So, for each potion that we create, we can override this into the same custom effects to store all 24 effects.

DIY How to make kanzashi ribbon rose (ENG Subtitles) - Speed up #473 - Duration: 3:24.

Hi. Today I will show you how to make kanzashi rose.

Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.

Cut the strips out of ribbon. 3.8cm x 8cm.

Burn the edges.

Fold a side to a bottom,..

...and fold a corner.

Burn the bottom edge and press it (to glue it).

Do the same with the second side. We need 13 petals as this one.

Do the leaves in the same way. The strips should be 2.5cm x 7cm.

We need 4 leaves.

Wrap a wooden skewer by using a floral tape.

Apply glue on an edge of a petal.

Glue the second petal in a slightly angle.

Apply glue on an edge and glue another petal.

Add more petals in the same way.

Next, add 4 leaves.

Apply glue on a side and a bottom of first petal.

Wrap it around the wooden skewer.

Now, apply glue on a bottom edge of the petals and wrap them.

Do the same with leaves.

Cut 2 strips out of ribbon. 2.5cm x 4cm.

Make a hole in a center of each strip.

Put it on the wooden skewer...

...and glue it under the rose.

And it's done.

This rose looks lovely.

Of course you can make the petals out of 25mm or 50mm ribbon.

How Long to Do No Contact to Get Your Ex Back - Duration: 4:15.

Hey there, welcome back.

It's clay with modernlove.life and this is relationship inner game.

Today what we're going to be doing is we're going to be talking about how long should

you be doing no contact for.

Again, this really does depend on which type of no contact you're doing passive no contact,

active no contact, reverse psychology, "let's play" mind games no contact or uh, you know,

he opened the breakup no contact or you know, all kinds of different types, but I'm just

going to be moving forward assuming that we're talking about active no contact because that's

what I teach.

So how long should you be doing it?

And the main thing shouldn't be focusing on some specific number of days, like you know,

a week, two weeks, three weeks, a month, three months, five months, six months or anything

like that.

What you should really be thinking about is the quality of the interactions that you believe

that you'd be able to have with your ex.

So oftentimes it would be highly recommended that somebody would go into no contact of

any type because quite frankly, they are not having positive interactions with their ex,

you know, every time they pick up the phone and call their ex, they have an argument or

their walls them out or every time they text they're actually, they just get met with some

like, angry response or they're just no response whatsoever.

Otherwise, every time they're interacting they are having a worse and worse interaction

with them that is causing them to distance themselves from you emotionally.

OK.

What we're doing during active no contact is we are creating a new context where we

can develop the ability to interact with our ex in a way that actually brings us closer

together.

So you don't want to just kind of white knuckle it through no contact and hope that just because

some certain amount of days have passed, uh, that you're suddenly going to be able to have

a great impact on your ex.

So putting some time, make sure that you are doing something to actually have a great positive

impact on your ex.

That should really determine the length of no contact.

OK?

If you're making progress and you're developing advanced relational skills and you're able

to have stronger interactions with people that bring the two of you deeper, that allow

for more connection then you're making great progress and that could be a sign that, you

know, it might be, have been long enough for you to get out of no contact.

OK?

Especially if you also factor in the other reasons that you might do no context such

as personal healing from the break up and, um, allowing enough time for your ex's reactance

to sort of die down a little bit and all of that stuff.

OK?

But as a general rule of thumb, I would recommend that you would do active no contact for about

30 days, about one month.

OK?

This is by no means a strict rule that everyone must follow.

But generally I think that it's a good rule of thumb, a good starting point.

Some people might need more time, a very, very few people might need less time.

But it's a good starting point.

A good rule of thumb and you shouldn't really focus on the amount of time, so much as on

the quality of the interactions that you're able to have.

So anyway, that's how long you should be doing no contact for.

And that's how you should be thinking about it anyway.

Vermicelli Upma - Easy To Make Quick Homemade Breakfast Recipe by Shagunskitchen - Duration: 9:29.

Welcome to Shagun's Kitchen

Today I will teach you how to make Vermecelli Upma

Its a south indian dish, made with north indian flavour

Take roasted Vermecelli available in market (thicker the better)

Its a quick dish for breakfast and evening snacks

Very easy to make

Grated Ginger

Chopped Capsicum

Chopped Carrot

Boiled Peas

Chopped Onion

Two slits of chillies

Lemon (to be used at end)

Tomato

Curry Leaves (10 - 12)

Coriander leaves

Red chilly powder (as per your taste)

Turmeric powder

Chana dal (2 rice spoon, optional)

Can also consider Urad dal (optional)

First take 3 rice spoon of oil

Let it heat up in the pan

Its hot now and add mustard seeds (1 tps)

Let it splutter

Next add chana dal (optional)

Be careful while adding

Fry it till it become brown

Cook it on medium flame

Its color has changed to light brown

Add curry leaves

Add onion

Mix it well and fry it till it turns brown

Add grated ginger

Add green chillies

Add vegetables next

First add capsicum

Then add carrot

Add green peas next

Mix well

Heat it for 2 minutes

Its mixed well

Add more vegetable for healthy food :)

Try keeping them raw for better nutritional value

add tomatos next

Mix well

Keep them for 1 minutes

As you can see tomato is mixed well

Add half tea spoon turmeric powder

Can add red chilli powder as per your taste

Salt as per your preference

Mix well

Now its mixed well and next we will add one and half cup water

Mix it well and let it boil

Its well boiled now, add 1 cup vermicelli next

Mix it well again

Let it boil for 5-7 minutes (with lid) at medium flame, Can stir in between to avoid burning

After 5 minutes, its ready

Squeeze lemon as per your taste

TASTY!:)

Add coriander for garnishing

READY

Serve it hot for breakfast or evening snack with juice

Before make a youtube debut, you have to come up with an idea first

Because your ideaI is the backbone of your content and your content is the backbone of your channel?

And if you have any idea just work on it immediately

Because you will get inspired instantly

and your video will have the better quality

Somehow your audience will understand what you're talking about

There are a ton of people who have the same idea as you so you had to work on your idea as soon as possible or they might do it first

That's my fucking idea

Camera, Video Mic and Editing Skills are very important for your video

Because they will decide if your video can impress the audience or not

First is the camera

With a good quality camera it can guarantee you a good quality of your video because you don't want your audience to hurt their eyes

by watching you need of stupid video

Secondly

The audio quality is very important too

Since your audiences want to hear what are you talking about or what you're discussing about

they don't want to hear some stupid background sound like the wind

or somebody are having fun together *background sound*

Lastly is the editing skill

Number three

Promoting the video in one step that you cannot forget it will boost your fame instantly

And you had to make sure that there will be a group of people who watch your video right after you upload it

And if you don't have anyone you have no friend your parent have no interest in your video

Just put it on the Internet. There's a group on Facebook or a YouTube community

You just upload your video there

Hopefully people like it if your video is good

And they will share that's it of best way for you to promote your video

Which is they just want to be a youtuber for fame and fortune?

This make many people quit their dream on making money from YouTube

so if you want to do the same thing without any ambition

just quit it

they didn't make a penny in the first place and now you see they got fame and fortune

How to Make Google Plus Run Faster on my Android Phone. To Slow - Duration: 2:16.

If you find that your Google+ account is running very slow is because if you're

on it all the time you are using up data like cookies in a way so what I'm about

to show you now see the notification that I'll just try to open up see how

long it's taken to open now if you find that this is happening a lot it's

because you've got too much data on your Google+ account that you need to free up

so what I'm about to show you now we're going to delete that data it's not going

to delete your settings or your messages so go to the settings hit the COG wheel

hit general and then hit application manager and then slide across

hit all and then look for Google+ account now I do this all the time

because I'm on Google+ most of the time and I use a lot of memory you don't have

to delete Google+ you don't have to reset it again here we go so we need to

do is we'll scroll down clear data hit that

and then sign out go back into your Google+ account I'm gonna open up the

same notification that I did last time and I'll show you how fast it takes to

open up

it's going to take a little while for your messages to open up but when they

do you'll have more there so just wait for a little minute and

okay I got my messages back yes there is my notification that opened up

previously and see how fast it's taken to open very fast so that's all you need

to do right and I hope I helped in some way and all you're doing is just

clearing the data that you use to run there's Google+ account off your phone

right that's all you're doing you're clearing that data and by doing that

you're making your phone run a lot faster now you're not going to lose your

messages you like followers or your downloads or anything else your keyboard

settings because remember everything is still saved on Google+ on their site
