Does vacation make you more productive? | CNBC Explains - Duration: 3:02.

We typically think of vacation as a time

to tune out and put work on hold

or at least try to.

But is it possible that vacation actually

advances your career and

makes you more productive?

Here in Europe it's normal

to take a couple of weeks,

maybe even a month, of holiday

during the summer.

Shops close their doors

and some factories even stop production.

It's a tradition that dates back

more than a century

when it was more efficient for

factory-line workers to

all go on holiday

at the same time

instead of at separate times

throughout the year.

Factories used the summer recess

to do maintenance on machines

and give their workers

a much-needed break.

Fast forward a couple of decades

and Europeans are still

taking advantage of long holidays.

The European Union entitles workers

to at least four weeks

of vacation time per year.

That's a lot more than

most countries in the world.

Some European countries

like the France, the UK or Norway

even mandate extra paid holidays

on top of the 20 days.

In fact, the U.S. is one of

the only countries that doesn't

have mandated vacation time.

You might think that all this time off

means European workers

are less productive than Americans.

But it turns out 9 of the top 10

most productive OECD countries

measured by GDP per hour worked

are in Europe.

The United States ranks sixth.

And a recent report found U.S. workers

who took 11 or more vacation days

were more likely to get a raise

or a bonus - compared to workers

who took 10 or fewer.

More productive and more likely

to get a raise?

I'll take another one of these, please.

Studies show there can

also be health benefits

like lower stress,

better mental health and

even less likelihood of a heart attack.

Time away from the office

can also spark creativity.

Starbucks, Instagram

and Hamilton the Musical

were all ideas inspired on vacation.

But it's not all paradise.

A lot of people have a hard time disconnecting

when they're supposed to be off.

And the stress of getting work done

before leaving can just be

too much to handle for some people.

Almost half of workers

in one survey

said they didn't

go on vacation

because they don't want

to come back to a

mountain of work.

In fact more than

half of Americans leave

vacation time on the table.

Cost is also a big factor

holding people back

from taking time off.

But studies show that even

just taking a day or two away

from the office can have a big

impact on your productivity.

So maybe it's time

to sit back and relax.

And who knows?

It could help you get

that promotion you've

been waiting for.

Hey, it's Elizabeth here.

Thanks for watching.

How to Make a Desk Organizer out of the End of the Roll of Duct Tape | Sophie's World - Duration: 9:39.

hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world you know I get a lot of suggestions from

you viewers on things that you would like to see me make and one of the

things that you're always asking for is back-to-school stuff and like

organizational stuff and so this one goes out for A Donnellan and she asked

could I come up with some sort of desk organizer now I think what she

actually wanted was something that went in a drawer but I thought that this was

a great opportunity for me to teach you how to take the ends of the roll of duct

tape and turn them into something really cool which is a desktop organizer so I'm

going to teach you how to make one right now for this project you're going to

need assorted ends of the rolls of duct tape duct tape exacto knife cardboard or

foam core hot glue gun or regular glue and a pen if you use duct tape a lot

like I do you end up with lots and lots of the ends of the roll and this is what

I mean by the end of the roll you get to the very end and when you pull it off

it's just a cardboard Center now one thing about these ends of the rolls is

you can when you realize you're getting to the very end of your roll you can

just leave it on like that and that gives you the perfectly covered roll

like this one right here so this is right at the end I know that because I

pulled it off and was like oh it's just about to pull up so I can use these to

make my fabulous organizer so for making the organizer what I'm basically going

to do is take these and glue them together so you can make these as tall

as you want so you can just start stacking them and then you can do a trio

you can do a duo you can do singles you could even do four if you wanted to it's

really up to you I like to start if I'm going to be making like one whole big

set I do like to start with what I call naked rolls meaning that they've been

pulled down all the way to the cardboard but you can always mix and match and do

these great you know you could do something along the lines of using the

end of the rolls that are already covered and make something beautiful

like that that's totally fine too I'm going to show you how we glue them

together though all you're going to do is take your hot glue and lay a little

bead right along the edge here I have the

squeekiest glue gun for some reason and just lay that bead of glue all the way

around the edge on the outside now of course it goes without saying just be

careful with the glue gun because it is hot then you just place that on top and

you can build this like you're building a tower you just keep making it as tall

as you want but I'm only going to do this one two high so I've got one

that's already set here and it's cooled down so that I can show you the next

step which is to cover it with tape you need about 10 inches of tape to cover a

bare roll so I'm going to lay this out just to be safe I'm going to do 11

inches it's better to have a little overlap pick this up and then what you

want to do is just lay the tape down right at the edge and roll it around now

I always like to come back so there you go you can see that 10 inches would have

been perfect but you know I like to have a little bit over so I've got one strip

there I was going to say I like to embellish a little bit at the top the

middle wherever there's a juncture where I glued two together so I'm actually

going to lay the second one here right along the bottom and roll it instead of

putting one right in the middle because I'm going to come back and do a little

embellishment area so I'm not going to need to have that overlapping there okay

so I've got that covered and now what I'm going to do is take 11 inches

of my accent color and what we do is actually take my accent color here

and I'm going to make three strips one

two and that gives me my third so I've made two cuts so that I end up with

three strips and I'm going to pull this off of here and use this to embellish so

I'm just going to lay this right at the top and roll it around and there you

have it now the one thing I should mention if you are one of those people

that has many different kinds of tape put one in the center here right

over that juncture or I put those two together I'm actually going to put one

right down the center if you're one of those people that uses different kinds

of duct tape mixes and matches their duct tape then you are going to want to

make sure that if you're stacking up the rolls you want to make sure that you use

all the same as you can see in this one I've used all duck brand and that's

really important because what happens is some of the insides of rolls are

different it varies from the different tape to tapes and so if you're going to

be making pillars out of them you're really really really going to want to

make sure that they're all the same size so there we go so I've got that and now

I'm ready to put my whole piece together so I've got one here that is a triple

and then I've got another one that's a double and another one that's a double

now I love the look of this I can configure this any way I want and this

is where I'm going to be using my my fabulous foam core so I can line it up

like that or I could line it up like that or I could line it up like that or

I could add some shorties too I think what I'm going to do is this and

then I'm going to add these cute little shorties right there like that so that's

going to be my fabulous little organizer to make my bottom all I have to do take

a pen and trace around and I'm going to trace around the back side too all the

way around and I take my pieces off and then I just cut it up using my exacto

knife I'm going to try to go within the line of course if you're going to use an

exacto always be careful and you just pop it out now one of the ways to test

to make sure that you're not going to rip this is flip it over and just see if

there's any little parts that didn't get cut so so you can see they're a little

piece that didn't get cut sometimes that those corners or where the

pieces come together it sticks a little bit so you just give yourself a little cut

then flip it out and you're going to start gluing so take your first one and

again you're just going to put a bead of glue all the way around the outside and

then just place it on its spot and let's use the same color now you should feel free

to make these according to what your needs are you could use these smaller

ones could be for things like thumbtacks or you might even have things like hair

clips or whatever if you want to you can also put a little bead of glue in

between you don't necessarily need to but if you feel like they need a little

bit more strength you can definitely do that and then you just you're ready to

start filling it up with all kinds of supplies

and that's all there is to taking one of these and turning it into something

great that will help you organize all your supplies for school remember you

can make it any configuration that works for you for more recycled projects make

Managerial Decision Making Process - How to Make Good Decisions - Duration: 2:23.

I've had people tell me that I think and act faster than anyone they've ever met, and the

reason is that I learned to make decisions at an early age.

By the age of 25, I was supervising the engine room of a nuclear powered submarine and I had

to be able to quickly figure out what was going on and make good decisions because people's

lives depended on it.

And this week I'm gonna give you four tips on how to make decisions and a special bonus,

so make sure you stick around to the end.

Hi, I'm Roman Ryder, and on this channel, I talk about leadership and personal development.

If you're new to my channel, please click below and subscribe; I put out new videos

every Friday and you don't want to miss out.

Tip number one is to get the facts.

I always say that great leaders ask great questions.

When you become a leader, you don't always want to be the smartest person in the room,

but you do want to ask the best questions in the room so you can find out exactly what's

going on and get all the facts.

Tip number two is to consider the consequences.

You want to think about all the different possible outcomes from your decision and decide

if it's a low consequence or a high consequence decision, and that way, you know the best

way to move forward.

Tip number three is to consider the timing.

You need to decide if this is a decision that has to be made right now or if it can wait

'til later, because if it's a high-consequence decision, you may want to put it off until

later or sleep on it or gather some more information.

Tip number four is to consider the players.

Sometimes it's not your decision to make.

I remember one time when an engineer and I got together and we decided to repair a pump,

and it turned out the repair cost was way above my approval amount, so sometimes, it's

not your decision to make, so make sure that you don't jump the gun, and consider everyone

involved.

Alright, and this week's bonus is to find out if they already know.

Sometimes, if you've done a good job with surrounding yourself with good people, they

already know what to do.

They just don't want to make that decision and take responsibility.

So ask them: what do you think we should do?

And find out if they already know.

I'm a visual person and I cannot resist the irony of making a decision tree for making

decisions.

So if you look in the description below, I'm going to include the link to that file, and

when you download that file, you'll be the first to know about our free course I'm going

to put together on how to make decisions, because I literally had pages of notes when

I put together this video and I've got a lot more I'd like to share, so make sure you check

that out.

Easy Focaccia Bread Recipe with Garlic and Herbs - How to Make Homemade Focaccia Bread - Duration: 3:38.

We're Adam and Joanne from inspiredtaste.net welcome to our kitchen.

Hi guys today we are making a major favorite on Inspired Taste, our focaccia bread recipe.

There's not that many breads that we make on Inspired Taste, but this is one of my favorites.

It's so fun to make with the herbs involved and there's not a lot of hands-on time.

It smells amazing when it's baking and it tastes incredible when it's done.

You will love it.

So let's go make it.

It's the fresh garlic and herbs that make this bread so good so let's start there.

Mince two garlic cloves and chop lots of fresh rosemary and thyme.

To remove the leaves from the stems, pull your fingers backwards down the stem so the

leaves fall away.

Then chop finely.

You can't have focaccia without olive oil, so add half of a cup to a skillet as well

as the garlic, herbs and fresh ground pepper.

Heat the pan so that the oil warms and begins to bubble around the garlic.

You don't want it to brown, just flavor the oil.

Once you see it bubbling, take the oil off of the heat and set aside to cool.

Meanwhile, get the dough going.

Sprinkle yeast on top of warm water.

Then add a little honey.

Whisk to combine and set aside for 5 minutes.

After five minutes, add 1 cup of flour and a 1/4 of a cup of the cooled infused oil.

Stir them into the yeast mixture then set aside for another 5 minutes.

Okay, now add the remaining flour as well as some salt.

Stir until a rough dough comes together then turn out onto a floured work surface.

Knead 10 to 15 times until the dough is smooth.

Lightly oil a large bowl then move the dough around inside.

This just prevents the dough from sticking.

Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for about 1 hour.

After an hour has passed, add about 2 tablespoons of the remaining infused oil to a small rimmed

baking sheet.

Turn the dough out onto the baking sheet then use your fingers to press it into the pan.

Dimple the top of the dough with you fingers then spoon the remaining oil on top.

Let the dough rise for 20 minutes more then bake in the oven until golden brown, about

15 to 20 minutes.

It smells so good while it bakes!

Once the bread is cooled, you can slice and enjoy!

Happy bread making.

You are going to love it!

Thanks for watching.

3 DIY Glitter Jar Ideas | How to Make Glitter Jars - Duration: 2:12.

Hey whats up you guys! My name is Emily and in this video I'm going to show you

three different glitter designs on mason jars. These jars would be great for organizing your pencils

or these jars can have LED candles inside of them.

If you like this video give this video a thumbs and remember to subscribe to see more videos like this.

In the comments down below tell what you think about these glitter jar ideas.

Lets get started

The first idea I'm going to show is a heart glitter design.

What you will need for this design is Mod Podge, a jar, glitter, a paintbrush, paper, and string or twine.

Put a piece of paper under the jar.

Then take a paintbrush and paint Mod Podge onto the jar in a shape of a heart.

Before the Mod Podge drys, pour the glitter onto the Mod Podge.

Tap the jar lightly on the paper to get off the excess glitter.

If you want, you can tie a bow onto the jar with twine or string.

and that's it for this glitter jar.

Lets go on to the next glitter jar.

The next glitter jar has glitter on the bottom and paint on the top of the jar.

What you will need for this design is a jar, paint, a paintbrush, glitter, paper,

tape, string or twine, and Mod Podge.

First place the top of the tape on the middle of jar.

Then paint above the tape.

When dry pull the tape away from the paint.

Put a piece of paper under the jar.

Paint Mod Podge where you want the glitter to be and pour glitter on to the Mod Podge that's on the jar.

Tie a bow with string.

and that's it for this glitter jar. Lets go on to the last glitter jar.

The last glitter jar has a word on it and glitter on the bottom half of the jar.

What you will need is a jar, paint, a paintbrush, glitter,

you use can tape if you want but you don't need for this jar, paper, and Mod Podge.

Write a word on to the front of the jar.

When the jar is dry, paint Mod Podge on to the bottom half of the jar and pour glitter onto the jar.

If you want you can tie a bow on to the jar. I chose not to tie it bow to this jar.

and that's it for this video! If you liked this video give

this video a thumbs up and remember to subscribe to see more videos like this.

In the comments down below tell what you think about these glitter jar ideas.

I'll see you in the next video bye!

13+ Ways to Make Pokémon for Nintendo Switch the BEST GAME EVER - Duration: 7:15.

Nintendo!

Game Freak!

PUT POKÉMON ON SWI-...

What?... it's in development?

Nintendo reps have stated it's a 2018 game?

It's a full fledged Pokémon game?......

WELL, THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

& If you think that means I'm incapable of going on and on about how to get Pokémon

right on Nintendo Switch YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING!

Pokémon fans have wanted this for a really long time and now that we're finally getting

it, it doesn't feel real.

Too good to be true you may say?

There's not a lot of faith that Game Freak will get it right.

But, what does "right" even mean?

WELL MY FRIENDS, do I have the answer for you!

Let's start with the presentation.

I know the dream is a stylized ultra realistic game but I don't think that's necessary.

Or likely.

Granted, I don't really think ANY of this is likely.

We'll probably just get a standard affair Pokémon game with slightly improved online

play & visuals with everything else being standard Pokémon RPG affair.

This video is more of a wish list than it is supposed to be about being my well-researched

predictions.

It's all for fun!

So play along!

Leave your own predictions in the comments.

I do want to incorporate a touch of realism so the compromise I'd be willing to make

is rather than that Unreal 4 concept render art style, I'd be cool with a higher fidelity

Sun & Moon art style.

There are videos of the Sun & Moon assets being rendered at 1080p.

I can see that happening for the Switch version in docked mode and 720p undocked like most

Switch games so far.

I think the Sun and Moon assets look great and with a little extra touches this could

still be a pretty stunning game even WITH that compromise in mind.

Next up is the setting.

I think the best case scenario for the very first full fledged Pokémon game would be

if it were set in the Kanto Region.

Ok.

So, little known secret.

Pokémon Go was a thing that happened.

& it did OOOK.

I GUESS! & because I'm POSITIVE you didn't know due to it being a small indie game with

moderate success I don't blame you if you didn't know it ALSO started out as a Kanto

exclusive game.

Sooooo, it's only right to follow in that tradition.

BUT, I don't think it should be the standard Pallet Town-born hero story.

I THINK that the player character should be given a choice of their location.... and vocation.

I want to be a Pokémon Breeder from Celadon City, a Team Rocket Member from Cinnabar Island

or yeah, a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town.

& I don't mean those specifically just the ability to be from different places with different

goals, & have different routes depending on where you're from & the job you choose.

& MAAAYBE you can even change your mind and change paths.

Or pursue more than one thing.

Maybe I wanna be a Pokemon Coordinator AND a Team Rocket Member.

Or a Gym Leader AND Breeder?

I understand this is a pie and the sky thing, but again.

That's sort of the point.

& while I'm on the subject of reinventing yourself as a person in the Pokemon world,

I wanna say that I don't think this should END at Kanto.

I want AT LEAST one other Region.

Ideally, I'd like ALL regions included in the game, but, I'll go easy on the Game

Freak team and just say to include Kanto and Alola.

That way there's representation from the old and the newest of the new…..

Or….

Maybe even a NEWER region than Alola?

WHO KNOWS??

As far as the story goes I think they could stick with the classic Team Rocket escalating

scheme and maybe one other team that interfere at set points throughout your journey's progression.

But rather than being location based I think story beats should be able to play out depending

on how far you've gotten as a trainer.

What I mean by that is if you're a Team Rocket member stronger main character trainers

appear as you pull off bigger schemes.

Or if you're a Gym Leader your progression can be more of a leveling system based on

how many wins your Gym has.

Or you need to travel around recruit better trainers to be gym aides and what not.

This way you're not tied to going from point a to point b.

You decide your path and it scales accordingly whether my first Gym is Cerulean City or Cinnabar.

& while we're at it.

You know this scene?

HOW DID HE GET THAT MANY BADGES???

I want the option to get THAT many badges.

& I want to be able to have different badges from my friends.

Procedural Generation for Gym types could be a cool solution for this.

Put 20 gyms in the game.

Scatter them in some new cities and towns in addition to the original 8.

For the extra region stick to 8 badges.

I'm a reasonable man, people.

For the gameplay, I'm holding to what I said the last time I talked about my console Pokémon

game desires.

I want the next Pokémon to play like the original Ni No Kuni.

Or really, kind of a combination of that & an improved Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm battle

system with a hint of Breath of the Wild.

This will allow for location based strategy for attack angle variation.

You can attack from the side, behind, or above.

& I want environments to play a part in turning the tide of battle in the way.

Rain should make electric type attacks do normal damage to ground types.

Or bright sun light should make normal type attacks effective against ghost types.

A stamina system that'll require you to manage how much you use a particular Pokemon,

or a bravery system where certain Pokemon are scared, nervous or even overly confident

when pit against certain Pokemon based on their level & nature.

& hell, give them a food system where you can feed your Pokemon food that momentarily

boosts attributes relating to the new battle system.

So, no increased special defense or anything like that.

This food would momentarily increase stamina or bravery.

& I KNOW people hate systems like that but I think they add a lot of character to games

and introduce a lot of unique experiences to each play session.

These kinds of systems would bring the crazy battle strategies from the anime to the video

games and for me that would be a game come true.

Again, things like this happen in the anime.

Bring it to the games!

Which brings me to the Pokemon League and post-game.

Again, I'm sticking with past me and saying I think the Pokemon League should operate

in the same way they do in the anime.

The Elite Four should be a challenge reserved solely for the trainers that can rise to the

top of a multi entry tournament comprised of trainers that also have at least 8 badges.

These battles would obviously need to be curated in a way that they're competitive and every

entrant has an equal opportunity to win.

Matchmaking would be pretty important here.

Which brings me to my last point.

In an ideal world where Switch Online improves Nintendo's online infrastructure, I'd like

to see a persistent online system that allows you and a select few of you friends inhabit

the same world when connected to the internet and through local wireless.

This way you could compete against them in Pokémon contests, the Pokémon league, form

a Team Rocket group, & just go on adventures in the world that affect each of your progress.

I know this is a pipe dream, but, it's fun to think about & I think this all could happen

ONE DAY

But those are my thoughts.

What do YOU think?

Do you have any off the wall hopes for the Nintendo Switch Pokémon RPG?

How to Make Omurice (オムライスの作り方) - Duration: 3:46.

Hi YouTuber! Welcome to Mrs. Lin's Kitchen.

Today I'm going to show you how to make omurice.

What is omurice?

Omurice is a contracted word of western omelette and rice.

It is made of fried rice with ingredients such as chicken and then topped with a thin sheet

of fried egg then drizzled with some ketchup.

Omurice is often made at home but you can also find it in a western restaurant in Japan

and some even specialize in omurice.

Today I'm going to show you a different version of omurice using curry powder, so

let's get started!

This is the ingredients overview.

All of these ingredients are readily available in any supermarket.

The curry powder we used in this video is made by S&B, but you can experiment with other

brands of curry powder to fit your tastes.

First, debone your chicken.

Make sure to use chicken thigh because the fattiness of the meat will make it taste better

and jucier.

Then, slice your chicken into cubes.

You can leave the skin on or take the skin off of your chicken.

Cook one cup of rice and leave it in the fridge overnight, which makes the rice easier to

stir fry with.

Then start dicing your mushrooms, green peppers, carrots, and onion.

Put one tablespoon of curry powder into a bowl.

Then add two tablespoons of water and mix well.

Place one tablespoon of cooking oil into a wok and sautée your diced onion until it

is fragrant and transparent.

Then, add in the chicken and sautée until it is no longer pink.

Add in your green peppers and carrots and sautée until they are soft.

Add your mushroom to the mixture.

Shortly after that, add one tablespoon of butter, one teaspoon of salt, and a dash of pepper.

Then add your curry mixture and your cooked rice.

Mix well!

Place your rice mixture into a bowl which you will use later.

Beat two eggs in a bowl.

Then, add oil to a non-stick flat pan and heat it to medium-high on the stove.

Cook the beaten eggs.

Then add your cooked rice mixture on top.

Carefully fold both sides of the egg sheet to cover the rice mixture.

Put a plate over your omurice and flip the pan and plate together.

Now your omurice is ready to be served!

Decorate your omurice with some vegetables.

If you like a stronger curry flavor for your omurice, you can pour some premade curry sauce

on top.

And you're done!

So here is the omurice.

If the curry flavor is not enough for you, you can always pour over some curry chicken.

To learn how to make curry chicken you can check out our link below in the description box.

FACE MAKEUP FOR DAYTIME TO NIGHT TIME/DAY TO NIGHT MAKE UP TUTORIAL - Duration: 9:12.

Hello guys, thank you so much for dropping by.

Welcome to the channel!

So today, I have a makeup tutorial for you....

This is a day to night makeup tutorial, I'm going to be creating a daytime look and I'm going to

be showing you how to quickly and easy transform

this daytime look into a night time look.

But before we get the tutorial guys, hold up! You know the drill...

please subscribe to the channel if you have not already, give a thumbs up to this video

and please leave your beautiful comments down below

and now without further ado,

let's get to the tutorial.

So for the daytime makeup I already did my brows and primed my face so I'm going

to be applying my foundation all over my face,

I'm using a stippling motion to just

pat the foundation into my skin.

After applying my foundation I'm going to take a foundation that is one shade

lighter than my skin tone and I'm going to pat that under my eye and the

reason for this is to brighten up my under eye area.

After doing that I'm

going to prime my eyelids, now I'm just patting some eyeshadow base onto my lids

For my transition colour, I'm using this light brown shade

this brown shade is

actually from a contour palette.

So I'm just using that and blending that out just

right above my crease.

As always I'm going to have all the products that I used in description box,

so please check that out.

After applying the transition shade, I'm going to start blending out the

under-eye foundation using a Beauty Blender

After blending the foundation I'm immediately going to set my under eye

area to avoid creasing.

Now going back into the eye makeup, I'm taking this

champagne, this light champagne colored eye shadow and I'm going to place that

all over my lid. So using an eyeshadow brush, I'm going to just pat this

eyeshadow color all over my lid.

After applying the eyeshadow,

I'm going to take a blending brush and I'm going to

blend out all the harsh edges from the champagne colored eyeshadow that I just

applied.

And next I'm going to be lining my lid, my top lid and for the liner, I'm really

just focusing it very close to my eyelashes

After that, I'm going to apply some mascara to my lashes.

After applying the mascara, I'm going to be using false lashes for this look and

the false lashes that I'm using are very natural-looking

Now taking some mascara, I'm going to apply that to my lower lashes

Now I'm applying a bit of that foundation that I used under my eye,

I'm putting a bit of that along the bridge of my nose and I'm blending that out my

fingers. After doing that I'm going to apply my face powder all over my face

and also I'm going to sweep out the excess powder under my eyes

and after doing that I'm applying some blush to my cheek and for the look to settle in,

I'm going to be using some setting spray on my face..

For my lips I'm using this really light pink lipstick and I'm

using a light brown lip pencil to line around my lips

And that's it guys! The daytime makeup look is done.

And now on to the nighttime makeup look. For this look, we're bringing the drama

So to start it out, I'm going to be smoking out my eye makeup.

I took some black eyeshadow

and I'm going to be focusing that on my outer V.

So I'm placing the black eyeshadow there,

and as I place it, I'm going to go to blend out the harsh edges.

After blending the harsh edges from the eyeshadow, I'm going to go right into my

waterline and apply some black eyeliner there

After lining my undereye, we're going to bring in some drama, I'm taking some

black eyeshadow with a pencil brush and I'm going to smudge out the under eye

liner. So starting from the outer corner of my under eye I'm going to go in

halfway and smudge out that liner.

After smudging, I switched up my lashes for a bit of

Va Va Voom effect.

So for these lashes or for the nighttime makeup look

I using these 3D mink lashes

And for this nighttime look, I'm going to be low lighting,

I do not know like for the daytime look because like I said I wanted to keep the

daytime look as simple as natural as possible so for this nighttime look, I

low lighted the sides of my nose, the hollows of my cheeks, underneath my jaw

and after doing that I'm going to be applying some highlighter to my cheekbones

I'm also adding some more blush to my cheeks

and for my lips, I'm using this dark

berry colored lipstick which is really pretty and I'm just applying that all

over my lips.

And that's it! We're all done!

Please give a thumbs up to this video, leave your comments

down below and please subscribe the channel if you're not already

and I'd love to hear your thoughts. Which would you rather?

The daytime look or the nighttime look?

I'll see you back in my next video. Mwaah!!

Easy Spicy Korean Rice Cakes ~ How to Make Korean Rice Cake Recipe ~ Tteokbokki - Duration: 4:11.

This is a popular spicy Korean dish. I'm Tess and I'm going to show you how to

make spicy Korean rice cakes. Stay Tuned! (intro music)

Rice cakes can be found at most Asian or Korean markets. I'll also leave a link

below where you can find them online. Rice cakes are a glutinous rice that are

pounded and formed into a variety of shapes and sizes. You can find them made

with white or brown rice. The rice cakes don't have much flavor, they taste like

rice and absorb the spices and flavors that you add. With rice cakes it's all

about the texture. The shape of the rice cake dramatically affects the texture.

The thin and smaller rice cakes are less chewy than the larger and thicker rice cakes.

Rice cakes can be used in soups, stews, stir frys or even grilled. Tonight

I'm making spicy Korean rice cakes. In my pan on medium-high heat I'm adding

in some water, ketchup and some light soy sauce. Giving that a stir and bringing up

to heat. And by the way, you'll be able to find this recipe and the list of

ingredients in the show more section below.

I'm adding in some minced garlic and this is Gojuchang. It is a spicy Korean

pepper paste. I use it often making spicy stir frys and even chicken wings and

I'll leave a link for that video here and in the show more box below. I just

love this stuff! You can add as much as you like. For some extra heat and color

I'm adding in some Korean red pepper flakes. And to balance out the heat and

saltiness I'm adding in some sugar. Stirring and bringing this up to a boil.

Once up to a boil I'm adding in my rice cakes. You can add as many as you like.

They do expand or puff a little while cooking. Bringing back up to a boil and

letting them cook for four to five minutes. Now I'm adding in some vegetabes.

You can add any meat or fish cakes but tonight I'm just adding in

some vegetables that I have on hand. In goes some sliced cabbage and giving that

a mix. I'm also adding in some roughly chopped green onions. Giving it a stir

and cooking for eight to ten more minutes. You can use the veggies that you like.

This is also good with carrots, celery or zucchini and I just love it

with a zucchini. I usually taste test the rice cakes along the way for desired tenderness.

Now this is ready to eat just like this but if you want to take this

dish to another level, just add some cheese on top! I'm adding

some shredded mozzarella cheese. The cheese really adds a creaminess and

balances out all the flavors. I'm turning off my heat, sprinkling the cheese on top

and covering for a few minutes until the cheese melts. These spicy rice cakes are

a definite comfort food. I love the spicy heat, saltiness and

sweetness and the gooey cheese. The texture of the rice cakes is chewy and

fulfilling and then the veggies add more texture and flavor. I hope you give this

spicy Korean rice cakes a try and enjoy.
