Little baby Grace looks so cute at her first birthday!

Thank you, she is having a wonderful time.

Everyone has started eating, go get some food.

Wow Tita, I love this restaurant, look at all this

wonderful food that they have here. They

have the best Lumpia and look how fresh

the ukoy is. I'm so hungry I could eat

a horse, I skipped lunch to save room for

all this delicious food.

Starving yourself before a party can lead to

overeating. If the party is after lunch,

do not skip breakfast or lunch. You

think better when you're not hungry and

make better choices. Overeating can spike

your blood sugar if you're a diabetic, lead

to weight gain, or fatty liver.

Let's rewind and watch as Tito boy and Tito

baby have no game plan and start grabbing

everything because of the overwhelming food.

We Don't Back Down - Duration: 3:44.

Every day is becoming more of a challenge to get out there.

Rains coming in heavier and heavier.

Roads are sliding away.

How do you cross that hurdle?

And we're still trying to just plow through this

and get to people.

Let's go.

We hear gunshots.

We hear bombs.

It's been an honor to serve with some of these people who

left their own families behind to come here

with the risk of not knowing whether they would come back

home or not.

Ebola has now become a part of the world.

As staff at Samaritan's Purse, we go where nobody dare to go.

Disasters come.

Storms come.

Every time we see the news in the morning,

I'm always asking myself, I wonder

if Samaritan's Purse can make a difference in that situation.

Samaritan's Purse-- we go to the hard places of the world.

We go to the remote places of the world.

And then when we are there, we meet their emergency needs.

When people ask us, "Why are you doing this?"

I say to them, "We are only showing you

the love of Christ."

Haiti has been hit by a massive hurricane.

Everybody that's here right now walked

in here three or four hours, and today

even with a bunch of pack mules carrying supplies in.

We do come to treat, but really, mainly, we

come to share the Gospel, to tell people the good news--

that Christ died for them.

I love that Samaritan's Purse is in the darkest areas

of the world.

It's 5:30 in the morning here in northern Iraq.

We've come a long way to deliver these shoebox

gifts to children living in refugee camps this Christmas.

Over 400,000 refugees fled from the terror of ISIS.

It's cold.

It's damp.

Samaritan's Purse has been providing mattresses, blankets,

coats, shoes.

The church in Niger is a persecuted church.

On the 16th and 17th of January, mobs

started burning the churches.

People basically had to flee for their lives.

Samaritan's Purse came and helped them out.

And they're not forgotten.

You see, I don't believe we ever back up.

We don't surrender.

We don't give in.

What motivated Jesus Christ to go

to that horrible crucifixion?

That same love is what motivates us to not back down.

You've got to be willing in your heart to give it

all up, surrender everything.

We're evangelizing, disciplining, and multiplying

across the globe.

God's going to take you on a journey of faith, step by step.

But our goal is to go along and let them see who we truly are,

let them see our actions, and we're

going to minister to everyone.

What part of the world are you going

to make a mark for Jesus Christ?

I've had people say, "Why don't you

wait till they come to you?"

No, we go to them.

Go ye therefore into all the world to make disciples.

People from all tongues, tribes, and nations will come to faith.

The Fourth Phase of Water — What You Don't Know About Water, and - Duration: 18:15.

The Fourth Phase of Water What You Dont Know About Water, and Really Should

Water is clearly one of the most important factors for your health especially when

you consider that your body actually consists of over 99 percent water molecules! I sincerely

believe water is a really underappreciated part of the equation of optimal health.

Ive previously interviewed Dr. Gerald Pollack, who is one of the leading premier research

scientists in the world when it comes to understanding the physics of water, and what it means to

your health.

Besides being a professor of bioengineering at the University of Washington, hes also

the founder and editor-in-chief of a scientific journal called Water, and has published many

peer-reviewed scientific papers on this topic. Hes even received prestigious awards from

the National Institutes of Health.

His book, The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor, is a phenomenal

read that is easy to understand even for the non-professional.

It clearly explains the theory of the fourth phase of water, which is nothing short of

ground-breaking. The fourth phase of water is, in a nutshell, living water.

Its referred to as EZ water EZ standing for exclusion zone which has a negative

charge. This water can hold energy, much like a battery, and can deliver energy too.

For years, Dr. Pollack had researched muscles and how they contract, and it struck him as

odd that the most common ideas about muscle contraction do not involve water, despite

the fact that muscle tissue consists of 99 percent water molecules.

How could it be that 99 percent of the molecules were ignored? How could it be that muscle

contracts without involving the water in some way? These questions help catalyze his passionate

investigation into water.

So You Think You Understand Water?

Gilbert Ling, who was a pioneer in this field, discovered that water in human cells is not

ordinary water (H2O), but something far more structured and organized.

I began to think about water in the context of biology: if water inside the cell was ordered

and structured and not bulk water or ordinary water as most biochemists and cell biologists

think, then it is really important, Dr. Pollack says.

Dr. Pollacks book also touches on some of the most basic features of water, many

of which are really not understood. For example, how does evaporation take place?

Why does a tea kettle whistle? Also, despite the fact that conventional science tells us

freezing is supposed to occur at zero degrees Celsius, experiments show that it can freeze

in many different temperatures down to minus 50 degrees Celsius.

Theres actually no one single freezing point for water! Other experiments show that

the boiling point of 100 degrees Celsius (or 212 degrees Fahrenheit) does not always hold

true either.

Theres a famous website1 put together by a British scientist, Martin Chaplin. Martin

lists numerous anomalies associated with water, Dr. Pollack says. In other words, things

that shouldnt be according to what we know about water

The more anomalies we have, the more we begin to think that maybe theres something fundamental

about water that we really dont know. Thats the core of what Im trying to do. In our

laboratory at the University of Washington, weve done many experiments over the last

decade. These experiments have clearly shown the existence of this additional phase of

water.

The reason this fourth phase of water is called the exclusion zone or EZ is because the first

thing Dr. Pollacks team discovered is that it profoundly excludes things. Even small

molecules are excluded from EZ water.

Surprisingly, EZ water appears in great abundance, including inside most of your cells. Even

your extracellular tissues are filled with this kind of water.

The Water in Your Cells Give Them Their Negative Charge

Other inherent differences between regular water and EZ water include its structure.

Typical tap water is H2O but this fourth phase is not H2O; its actually H3O2.

Its also more viscous, more ordered, and more alkaline than regular water, and its

optical properties are different. The refractive index of EZ water is about 10 percent higher

than ordinary water.

Its density is also about 10 percent higher, and it has a negative charge (negative electrical

potential). This may provide the answer as to why human cells are negatively charged.

Dr. Pollack explains:

Everybody knows that the cell is negatively charged. If you insert an electrode into any

of your cells, youll measure a negative electrical potential. The textbook says that

the reason for this negative electrical potential has something to do with the membrane and

the ion channels in the membrane.

Oddly, if you look at a gel that has no membrane, you record much the same potential 100

millivolts or 150 millivolts negative. The interior of the cell is much like a gel. Its

kind of surprising that something without a membrane yields the same electrical potential

as the cell with a membrane.

That raises the question: where does this negativity come from? Well, I think the negativity

comes from the water, because the EZ water inside the cell has a negative charge.

The same is true of the gelthe EZ water in the gel confers negativity. I think the

cells are negatively charged because the water inside the cell is mainly EZ water and not

neutral H2O.

What Creates or Builds EZ Water?

One of the greatest surprises is that the key ingredient to create EZ water is light,

i.e. electromagnetic energy, whether in the form of visible light, ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths

and infrared wavelengths, which were surrounded by all the time.

Infrared is the most powerful, particularly at wavelengths of approximately three micrometers,

which is all around you. The EZ water can build on any hydrophilic or water-loving surface

when infrared energy is available.

It builds by adding layer upon layer of EZ water, and can build millions of molecular

layers. This is how it occurs in nature. For example, ice doesnt form directly from

ordinary H2O.

It goes from regular water to EZ water to ice. And when you melt it, it goes from ice

to EZ water to regular water. So EZ water is an intermediate state.

Glacial melt is a perfect way to get EZ water. And a lot of people have known that this water

is really good for your health, Dr. Pollack says.

Testing water samples using a UV-visible spectrometer, which measures light absorption at different

wavelengths, Dr. Pollack has discovered that in the UV region of 270 nanometers, just shy

of the visible range, the EZ actually absorbs light.

The more of the 270 nanometer light the water absorbs, the more EZ water the sample contains.

EZ water appears to be quite stable. This means it can hold the structure, even if you

leave it sitting around for some time.

Water samples from the river Ganges and from the Lourdes in France have been measured,

showing spikes in the 270 nanometer region, suggesting these holy waters contain

high amounts of EZ water. According to Dr. Pollack, theres compelling evidence that

EZ water is indeed lifesaving

EZ Cellular Water Helps Explain Health Benefits of Light and Heat Therapies

Heating equates to applying infrared energy, and Dr. Pollack has found that if you apply

infrared, the EZ water builds and doesnt diminish. The implications of this are profound

when you consider the health benefits of sitting in an infrared sauna, for example.

Essentially, one of the reasons why infrared saunas make you feel so good is because your

bodys cells are deeply penetrated by infrared energy, which builds and stores EZ water.

The same goes for light therapy, spending time in the sun, and laser therapy.

There are various kinds of light therapy using different wavelengths. We found that all wavelengths

some in particular of light, even weak light, build EZ. If EZ is critical for

the health of your cells, which I think is clear, these therapies have a distinct physical

chemical basis, Dr. Pollack explains.

EZ water also provides a mechanism that explains other biological mysteries. For example, Dr.

Pollack describes another fascinating finding that further bolsters our understanding of

the mechanism of action behind the health benefits of something as simple as exposing

your body to the light and heat of the sun:

We found that if we put a simple tube, like a straw, made of hydrophilic material, in

water theres water flow through the tube at high speed. This happens spontaneously.

But it shouldnt happen spontaneously.

The common idea is that if you want to drive fluid through a pipe or tube, you need to

apply pressure. But we have no pressure here. Theres no pressure difference between the

input and output. But flow builds up spontaneously, and it keeps going.

Recently, we found that if we add light, the flow goes faster. It means that light has

a particular effect; especially ultraviolet light, but other wavelengths as well. It speeds

up the flow.

We think that somehow the exclusion zones (EZs) are involved because inside those tubes,

theres a little annular ring of exclusion zone, and inside that is an area full of protons

It seems that the exclusion zone and the pressure of these protons are driving the flow.

Now, lets apply these mechanisms to your body. Your capillaries receive radiant energy

from outside all the time. Energy is also received from the inside of your body, as

metabolic reactions continuously generate heat or infrared.

So the question is, is it possible that the flow of blood occurring through your capillaries

is automatically enhanced by exposure to light? It appears the answer may be yes

This is an important issue because the capillaries are puzzling, Dr. Pollack says.

Theyre so small. Some of the capillaries are smaller in diameter than the red blood

cells that pass through them. Any competent engineer would never build a pipe thats

smaller than the junk thats supposed to go through. But nature, apparently, has done

that

Now, that means theres a lot of resistance. You need something to push those red blood

cells through One possibility is that the flow in your capillaries is aided by this

kind of radiant energy Were starting to test this Its possible that your

cardiovascular system is assisted by radiant energy in the same way that the flow in the

tubes is assisted by radiant energy.

One of the more interesting healing modalities Ive been exploring lately is the use of

a high-powered laser. The K-Laser also has frequencies in the infrared range, which can

deeply penetrate tissue.

This kind of laser therapy has shown to provide profound healing for many painful injuries

in a very short amount of time sometimes just minutes of treatment.

While the benefits of laser therapy are thought to be due to its action on mitochondrial activity,

it may very well be that the benefits are also related to recharging your damaged

cells EZ water, as well as promoting increased capillary blood flow.

EZ water in your body also plays a role is in hyperbaric medicine, which is also good

for injuries. In that case, your tissues are exposed to high oxygen under pressure.

The results are in. We think we understand the mechanism as to why hyperbaric oxygen

is so effective for wound healing EZ water has a higher density than bulk water.

If you take H2O and you put it under pressure, it should give you H3O2 because the EZ structure

is denser than the H2O. We did the experiments and we found, indeed, thats the case. If

you put H2O under pressure, you get more EZ water.

The same goes for oxygen. EZ also has more oxygen than H2O, and when you increase oxygen

content, you get more EZ water. So, hyperbaric treatment builds EZ water in your body, particularly

in injured areas where EZ water is needed.

Alkalinity and Your Bodys Negative Charge May Be Critical for Health

I personally drink vortexed water nearly exclusively as I became a big fan of Viktor Schauberger

who did much pioneering work on vortexing about a century ago.

Dr. Pollack found that by creating a vortex in a glass of water, youre putting more

energy into it, thereby increasing EZ. According to Dr. Pollack, virtually ANY energy put into

the water seems to create or build EZ water.

We have looked at acoustic energy that seems to effect some change in the water. Were

still not sure exactly what. Vortexed water puts enormous energy into the water. There

are several groups in Europe studying this phenomenon right now.

As mentioned earlier, EZ water is alkaline and carries a negative charge. Maintaining

this state of alkalinity and negative charge appears to be important for optimal health.

Drinking water can be optimized in a variety of different ways, by injecting light energy

or physical energy into the water by vortexing, for example. This is fairly easy using magnets.

Reversing the vortex every few seconds may even create more energy.

Clearly, more research needs to be done in this area, but some is already underway. My

own R&D team is working on a careful study in which we use vortexed water to grow sprouts,

to evaluate the vitality and effectiveness of the water.

As for a natural source of EZ water for drinking, an ideal source is glacial melt. Unfortunately,

this is extremely inaccessible for most people. Another good source is water from deep sources,

such as deep spring water.

The deeper the better, as EZ water is created under pressure. Natural spring water is another

excellent way to obtain this type of water and you can use FindaSpring.com2 to help you

find one close to you.

Besides optimizing the water you drink, you can help generate an electron surplus, or

support this negative charge within your body, simply by connecting to the Earth, which also

has a negative charge.

This is the basis of the earthing or grounding technique, which has been shown to have significant

health benefits by allowing the transfer of negatively charged electrons from the ground

into the soles of your feet.

In a sense, its as though your cells are built like batteries that are naturally recharged

by spending time outdoors whether sunny or overcast, and walking barefoot, connecting

to the negative charge of the earth!

If you have an organ thats not functioning well for example, its lacking that

negative charge then the negative charge from the earth and [drinking] EZ water

can help restore that negativity. Ive become convinced that this negative charge is

critical for healthy function, Dr. Pollack says.

6 Ways to be a BAD Global Citizen - Duration: 10:38.

Hey guys, Ethan from RealLife English here with another really kickass English lesson

for you.

Actually, today's lesson is not so much about the English language as it is about

how English learners should act.

If you are learning English it is definitely to your benefit to learn how to be a good

global citizen.

This is going to help you with connecting with people from other places all over the

world, with traveling, with using the language and not making an ass of yourself.

So I just got back to the United States, I was recently in Thailand for a couple months,

as many of you may know, I was actually living there in a place called Chiang Rai and I really

disappointed myself during this time.

Why?

Because normally I am an excellent global citizen, if I do say so myself, and in Thailand

I did everything I would say that a global citizen should NOT do.

And so I wanted to share my experience with you so that you might learn what SHOULD global

citizens do?

How do you be a good global citizen?

And what do I normally do when I travel or go live in a new place?

So I'm going to kind of contrast my experience living in Thailand along with Bali, where

I just was, in Indonesia, before returning to the United States.

All right guys, let's jump into the 6 Things Not to Do When Trying to Be a Global Citizen.

So number one, the first thing that a global citizen should NOT do is…

Not learn the language.

So that's exactly what I didn't do in Thailand.

I only learned enough very basic Thai to get by, so this would be like I learned some numbers

so that I could ask prices when I go to the market, so that I could not pay kind of like

a "foreigners' price."

I learned basically how to say "Hello," "Good morning," "excuse me," "sorry,"

I could not even have the most basic conversation with any Thai person, I basically could just

smile and wave.

So that's the first really terrible thing that I did.

Being an English learner, a lot of times English is enough when you travel, you can meet a

lot of people who speak good English and you connect with them through this.

English is my first language, I have that benefit obviously.

But, I think that it's not enough, and I always try to challenge myself when I go to

a new place to learn a little bit of the language so that I can connect with the locals, and

I did a much better job of doing this before going to Bali.

I kind of learned maybe 10-20 phrases to get me started and then I would ask people there

how to say different things, so I could at least initiate a conversation in Indonesian

before switching to English right off the bat.

And I found that when you do this, even if you just speak a little bit of the basics

people really appreciate you making the effort to learn their language, so even as an English

learner, don't make the excuse that you speak English, try to learn a little bit of

basics of the local language so you can connect more with the locals.

So, number two, I didn't learn anything about Thai history, I still know almost nothing

about Thai history, and this is a mistake that I believe people make all the time when

they travel or go live abroad.

A lot of people make the excuse that "Oh I'll learn the history when I get there,"

or "Why should I learn it anyway?

It's not really that important for learning the language."

However, I would highly disagree with this.

Knowing something about the history of the place that you're going to, of the place

that you might be living in is crucial for learning the language because it really helps

you understand why people are as they are today in that country, and I would also say

that this is something a little extra that helps you to connect to the locals.

So, don't make the excuse that you don't need to know anything about the history.

Just open up the wikipedia entry about that country and learn the 30-second, basic introduction

to that country's history, so that you won't make a ass of yourself when you're in the

country.

All right, so number three would be judging people based on your own cultural values.

This is something that I believe I did too much in Thailand and again I am really disappointed

with myself because I am usually quite good at being very non-judgmental, of giving people

the benefit of the doubt.

"The benefit of the doubt" means that you basically give people an excuse.

You give them a free pass to do something because maybe it's something that you don't

understand.

So I didn't give Thai people generally the benefit of the doubt when they would do something

that I didn't understand.

An example of this, of something that really frustrated me there, which was silly, is that

people take a lot of selfies.

They would go to places like these beautiful cafes, there are many beautiful cafes in Thailand,

by the way, and they would spend the whole time just taking pictures of themselves, taking

pictures of their food, their coffee, and not actually enjoying the environment.

And I didn't take the time to really understand, what might be the history behind this, or

the cultural explanation for why people are really obsessed with taking pictures of themselves.

I never asked anyone, or really put in the time or the effort to understand why people

were like this.

I just got frustrated, which, it hurts me, it doesn't help anyone, so, always giving

people the benefit of the doubt, being non-judgmental, being very patient, putting yourself in other

people's shoes.

It really benefits you as a person, as a global citizen, as a human being, to understand,

to try to understand other people's world views.

So number 4, which will help with all of these things is of course making local friends.

Either friends that speak English, or if you are making the effort to learn the local language,

maybe someone that is going to be helping you to learn it, and are, you know, obviously

you need someone who is a bit patient while you are learning it.

So when I was in Thailand I made zero local friends unfortunately.

I really missed out on a huge opportunity I think.

Again not just to connect with the local culture, but to connect with people who have a different

life experience from me.

This is one of the big benefits of global citizenship is that you get to see how people

all over the world through their different experiences, their different points of views,

kind of grow up, and how they see the world.

So it's a regret of mine that I didn't make any local friends.

I'm sure with a little bit of effort, just by being a little bit more friendly, smiling

at more people, and putting myself out there to start more conversations and meet more

people I could have very easily made some local friends, which would have helped me

to learn more all about the culture, and be a better global citizen.

All right, so number five a very crucial thing when you go to a new place.

If you learn nothing else from this video I would say this is extremely important for

everything else you're going to hear.

It's being curious and asking a lot of questions.

So obviously when you learn the local language or you find people who speak English, you

learn about the history, you are non-judgmental and patient, and you make local friends it

becomes much easier to become curious because you're just more motivated to learn more

about the place that you are at.

I did a much better job in Bali at this than when I was in Thailand.

I actually had the benefit there that I already had a friend, so I was able to connect with

her and some of her friends, but we also just would be kind of curious when we would go

in the taxi for example.

We would ask the driver, you know, about what else he did in Bali.

We would ask him about the local holiday that was happening when we were there, and it was

just interesting to get to know people's points of views again.

To experience a little bit about how people there live lives, and to imagine a little

bit like, what would my life be like if I had grown up in Bali.

And this is something that I always love when I travel, I like to ask myself like, "Huh,

I wonder what my life would be like if I had grown up in Bali, if I had grown up in Japan,

if I grew up in Spain," and to, I think this is something that global citizens do,

they kind of imagine their life through the lens of many different cultures.

And that will bring me to number six, which is, getting fascinated by the local culture.

And obviously we talked about this a little bit, the history is a big part of this, and

all of the other things that I already said, one through five, contribute a lot to this.

Learning about the local culture really gives you an entirely new, higher level of appreciation

for the place that you are visiting, or that you are living in.

And this could be things like taking a dance class, taking a cooking class, if your play

an instrument maybe finding a jam session and going to play guitar or singing with the

locals or even just listening to music and appreciating it with the locals.

And of course, this can contribute to you meeting new people who are going to help you

with all the other things on this list.

So, I know a lot of people tend to travel to new places and they get too comfortable

by just talking to other foreigner, or by just talking to people from their own country.

I know I did this in Thailand.

It was very out of character for me, I feel like I missed out on a huge opportunity to

experience a new place, to experience a new culture, to really understand a new, different

worldview from my own, and to take up my global citizenship, so to speak.

So that said, I feel like I've learned a huge lesson.

I will not be making these mistakes again when I go to visit a new place.

I hope that you have learned something about this and that you will take consideration

of these lessons that I learned next time you visit another country, speak to someone

from another country, or if you ever go live abroad, or are living abroad right now.

So I would really appreciate it if you learned anything in this video if you found anything

interesting in this video if you would LIKE it, and of course, I would love it if you

would share your experience.

Do you have any stories about when you were a really good global citizen?

When you were a really bad global citizen?

Share them below and let's start a conversation around this topic.

I can't wait to hear what you guys say!

So remember to go out there and kick ass with your English, kick ass with your global citizenship,

and I will see you guys really soon.

Aww yeah!

Why Don't Metal Gears Exist Today? | The Science of Metal Gear Tech - Duration: 6:00.

Hey there, and welcome to Play Noggin.

I'm Julian, your brain's Player Two.

Prolific game developer Hideo Kojima has been entertaining us with the incredible and insane

Metal Gear series for decades now, pushing the limits of what each hardware generation

can handle, as well as testing the bladder of any gamer twenty minutes into an hour-long

cutscene.

The Metal Gear series really took off with the release of the first Metal Gear Solid

for the Playstation back in 1998.

With the release of Metal Gear Solid 5 in 2016, Kojima put an exclamation point on the

series that he's poured so much energy into over the years.

Even though the game is a prequel and takes place in the 80's, a lot of the technology

looks modern or even futuristic.

How much of that tech is real, and how much of it was cooked up in a Kojima fever dream?

Let's take a look.

When talking about MGS:V, The Phantom Pain, there's only one obvious place to start.

That's right, prosthetic limbs.

We've been using prosthetic limbs for a really long time.

So long, in fact, that if an ancient Egyptian had a pyramid brick dropped on his toe, he

could have gotten a replacement made of wood.

Fortunately we've come a long way since wooden toe technology.

In MGS 5, Big Boss has a prosthetic arm that is, to borrow an 80's term, pretty rad.

Not only can he use it like a real arm, but it can detect bad guys with sonar, stun them

with a shock, and even fire itself off as a rocket to punch some morale into hapless

soldiers around Mother Base.

While rocket arms still don't exist today, bionic hands are slowly becoming a reality.

When people lose a limb, their brain doesn't just forget about it and move on.

They can still have the sensation that their arm or leg is there as a so called "phantom

limb," and can even feel phantom pain in a body part they no longer have.

You'll notice Big Boss keeps bringing it up throughout the game.

Sounds like adding insult to injury, but there's actually a silver lining: because the brain

of an amputee is still wired as though their limb is there, advanced prosthetics can be

controlled with thought alone.

Newer prosthetics use electrodes positioned on muscles to intercept electrical impulses

from the brain and translate them to movement in mechanical appendages.

Then all the wearer has to do is think "open" and their sweet robo-hand will open.

Ok it's not quite that simple: it takes hours and hours of practice just to get simple

tasks down, but steadily you and your new limb will become much more fluid.

Enough to knock a guy out with some Close Quarters Combat?

Probably not, but if you meet a quarter cyborg crawling around in a box it's probably best

not to find out.

Just let him shuffle on his way.

Of course if you DO make the mistake of checking under that box, then there's a decent chance

you're just going for a balloon ride.

Metal Gear Solid 5 introduced us to the Fulton Recovery System, which allows you to prank

sheep by launching them into the sky Amazingly this is a piece of mostly real technology.

The Fulton Surface-to-Air Recovery System, otherwise known as the Skyhook, was created

in the 1950s by inventor Robert Fulton.

Before him something similar did exist, only instead of balloons, it used two poles stuck

in the ground on either side of the target with a line running between them, which a

passing rescue plane would hook.

The system was used to pick up bags of mail on the fly, but for living things like people

or sheep, it wasn't ideal.

First there's the problem of sudden acceleration: early systems had some give in the line, but

the sudden yank was still dangerous, and even killed a sheep in testing.

And because the yank is lateral, you'd better hope there are no big trees or rocks in your

path when you call your sky uber.

Robert Fulton solved all these problems with a balloon.

The balloon didn't hoist the package itself into the air because that's not really possible.

A balloon like those used in Metal Gear definitely wouldn't have the buoyancy to lift a person,

let alone catapult them into the sky, even using Helium, the second lightest element.

And yes we know it's not the first lightest element, hydrogen, because hydrogen is flammable,

and if you shot the balloon all you'd end up with is a very charred and unextracted

soldier.

Fulton's balloon lifted a 500 foot line into the air instead, with the package or

person attached at the ground.

Then a plane with a special V-shaped nose hook would snag the line and release the balloon.

Because of the long line, it would curve, meaning even though the plane was carrying

one end laterally, the other end attached to the soldier would go straight up at first.

Then he would gradually accelerate as the line straightened out and trailed behind the

plane.

Finally he would be winched into the bottom of the plane where it was less windy.

This system made quick extraction possible even from dense forests, and was used regularly

by the CIA.

Alright, it's time for the moment you've all been waiting for: the Metal Gears themselves.

We've seen enough world news to know that giant mechs haven't taken over the battlefield,

but that's not to say we haven't been working on the technology to make it possible.

In Metal Gear Solid 5, Big Boss battles a giant walking humanoid mech called the Sahelanthropus,

named for the skull of an ancient human ancestor.

Sahelanthropus was a stepping stone from crouched over knuckle-walking ape ancestors to upright

walking humans, and this Metal Gear is the first to walk upright on two legs all the

time.

You get the feeling Hideo Kojima is a massive nerd?

We didn't really have the sort of tech necessary to make sophisticated, bipedal giant robots

in the 80s, but we've doggedly continued developing the elements of our own fiery destruction.

In the 1960s, General Electric developed something colloquially known as the "Walking Truck,"

and more sinisterly known as the Cybernetic Anthropomorphous Machine, which mimics the

movements of its pilot.

Think Ripley in Aliens, but four legged and dorkier.

More recently, in 2004, Japan developed what is known as Hyper Rescue Robot to aid in rescue

operations after earthquakes.[8] And by "aid in rescue," I mean tossing cars out of the

way with its giant metal arms.

And of course battlefield robots have been a goal for the military for some time, but

the ones that exist today are more remote-controlled mini tanks and flying death drones than gigantic

nuclear equipped megazords.

But Hideo Kojima can dream.

Thanks for watching.

5 Shocking Weight Loss Truths People Don't Know - Duration: 5:47.

When I first started making Youtube videos my goal was to help you guys lose weight.

I was on kind of on my own weight loss journey, and now that I've kind of found my happy place

I kind of stopped wanting to talk about it. This weekend

I watched fed up, which was actually produced in

2014. A lot of you might have seen it. If you haven't, I highly recommend it and it reminded me of how

many people out there do not know the fundamentals when it comes to weight loss. They've been fed lies!

Today, I'm going to share with you guys five shocking weight loss truths that you likely don't know. Number one

Get rid of the low fat and the non fat dairy.

I don't know how many times people can say this and this was something that they really talked about in Fed up,

But the low fat and the nonfat products basically have the fat removed and then sugar added to make it taste better.

Well, when you consume these products they end up messing with your

Metabolism, messing with your blood sugar levels, and they are worse for you than if you had had the full fat product!

So if you're counting your calories,

Which I actually don't do but if you are,

Have less of something that is full fat instead of having the low fat or the no fat, just stop.

Ban it! If you want more science

links are down below. I don't want to bore you guys. Here's number, two!

This is one of the major talking points of fed up, carbs are not the devil!

Sugar should be what you're looking for when you go to buy a food. Look at the label!

If sugar is listed as number one, number two or even number 3! I'm going to suggest putting it back. Don't buy it!

Look at how many grams of sugar are in the product you want to try. Keep it at nine or below.

The lower the better obviously.

Some products are going to have more sugar than others that are from naturally occurring sources.

So if you were to buy like a fruit pouch for your toddler, which I do for Tommy...

Yes, it looks like there's a lot of sugar in it, but it's naturally occurring. It's from an apple.

It has fiber in it! You want to avoid the refined added sugars. Things like white sugar cane, sugar even honey, maple syrup,

Apple juice Concentrate, etc.

There are a lot of different names for sugar that are hidden and a lot of people aren't aware of these things.

You actually find sugar in a lot of your condiments in your barbecue sauce and your ketchup, in your salad dressings, in your pasta sauce!

Read your labels! Number three... eating healthy doesn't have to be expensive!

On Fed Up

They talked a lot about how some people resorted to going to fast food restaurants because it was cheaper than eating healthy, now

It really doesn't cost that much! You can go and buy an entire chicken for like less than three dollars a pound.

Yes

it might take a little bit more time to cook and prepare but all you really need to do is add some spices and put

It in the oven. Same thing with some sweet potatoes or vegetables, just cut them wash them put them in the oven

[roasted] little salt and pepper. You don't need these complex recipes to make good-tasting

healthy food! You need a little salt and pepper and olive oil, again fat is not bad, you can add the olive oil and

[just] roast them up. I have a forty dollar

Grocery store Haul for the entire week on my channel. That link is down below in the more info.

Number Four, the Fat burning Zone is b.s.

Do not believe it! Stop exercising at that

Low moderate rate. If you want to lose weight, add some hiit add a little bit of intensity. If you're a beginner,

Work your way up there.

When I say a little bit of

of intensity, that might mean just running up the stairs once in the middle of your walk.

The fat burning [Zone] is a lie. Yes your body may rely on more fat for energy

during the workout, but afterwards you're going to burn less calories overall. So if you're looking to lose weight

ignore the fat burning Zone

Number five is going to be cleanses are not the answer. Yes

I've done a lot of cleanses and I feature them here on my YouTube channel

but if you're looking [for] long-term

weight loss

success, a cleanse is not going to help you get there. A

Cleanse might be a good idea to kind of get started on the right track

Maybe give you kind of like a little boost, Often when we see fast results we're more motivated to keep going!

So if you're one of those types of people a cleanse might help.

But if you're looking to just like lose five or ten pounds like that, doing a cleanse for two or three days is not

going to get you there long-term.

But really you should be focusing on eating real Foods.

These are my five shocking weight loss truths. If you have more questions leave them below in the comments.

I'm happy to do a follow up video. The reason why I wanted to do this video was

Because I thought that in Fed up there were people in the movie that wanted to lose weight

And they didn't know how and these

Parents were trying to help their children lose weight with the only way they knew how and that's what the government was telling them...

So they were giving them fat free milk

with like special K as a meal for

Breakfast and sometimes lunch... if you gave me special K with skim milk for breakfast and lunch. I would be a ravenous bitch like,

No. It was a really great documentary and there is another documentary that I want to watch.

People everybody keeps telling me to go watch it, and it's called "what the health", and I haven't watched it yet

but I've been hearing a lot about it, and I can't wait [to] see it and it's more about how the government and

big food companies are

in each other's business.

So anyway like this video share it if you know people that need to hear these truths!

Also, subscribe to my family channel and I'll see

you soon!

Why Don't Sheep Shrink In The Rain? - Duration: 2:08.

If you put a wool sweater through the laundry, it shrinks.

So why don't sheep, which are, you know, basically made of wool, why don't they shrink

in the rain?

The answer comes down to friction.

Like all mammal hair, wool fibers are covered in overlapping scales that run the length

of each fiber.

These scales make it easier for the fiber to slide in one direction than the other,

which is why, if you grab a strand of your hair and pull it through your fingers, you'll

find it moves more smoothly going toward the tip than toward the root end.

When a wool - or human hair - sweater gets thrown into the washing machine and tossed

around, this one-way resistance becomes a problem, because, as each fiber rubs against

its neighbors, its scales act like little ratchets, only allowing it/the fiber to move

in one direction.

The water makes things worse, both by causing the fibers to swell, which brings them into

closer contact, and by softening the scales, which makes them floppy enough to get caught

on neighboring fibers more easily, but not so floppy that they can give way and allow

the fibers to move past each other.

Heat also exacerbates the ratchet effect, probably by making the hairs more bendy, which

brings them into greater contact, the same way cooked spaghetti noodles touch in more

places than hard, uncooked ones.

Throughout the course of the wash and dry cycle, the millions of tiny ratchets on the

thousands of individual fibers in the wool sweater draw the fabric into a tighter and

and tighter configuration, shrinking the overall size of the sweater.

When sheep get caught in the rain, the fibers in their thick coats swell and their scales

soften too, but their wool doesn't get tossed around enough for the ratchet effect to cause

it to tighten...unless those sheep get really RAMbunctious.

Thanks for watching!

The idea for this video actually came from a viewer - thanks Rebecca!

The Real Reason We Don't Hear From Demi Moore Anymore - Duration: 7:37.

After a difficult childhood marred by cases of alcoholism and suicide in the family, Demi

Moore left behind her life in a New Mexico trailer park in pursuit of the bright lights

of Tinsel Town.

Three decades and three husbands later, Moore's name is known the world over, but her face

is rarely seen anymore.

Considering her undeniable talent and her impressive acting resume, Demi Moore should

be headlining blockbuster movies every year.

Instead, she seems to only be appearing in below-the-radar projects — when she appears

at all.

So what happened?

Press pressure

Moore has had a feisty relationship with the press right from the get-go.

The actress has battled with the media over her public image on countless occasions over

the course of her career, even during her earliest years in showbiz.

"And we didn't anticipate press being there so we weren't prepared.

So we were walking to our car and there were so many flashes going off we couldn't even

see where we were walking."

The stunning young starlet first came to the attention of audiences as a member of the

so-called Brat Pack, starring in '80s coming-of-age classics like St. Elmo's Fire and About Last

Night.

Trouble was, she hated being labeled as a brat, even if it was meant as a status symbol.

At the time, she complained,

"I find it embarrassing, hateful and demeaning.

The man who wrote that seems jealous because we are young and talented, so he filled the

article with lies.

He implied we all hate each other."

Box office boom...to bust

Unlike some of her Brat Pack buddies, Moore's career was still going strong as the '90s

rolled around, becoming one of the biggest stars in the world with her performance opposite

the clay-molding spirit of Patrick Swayze in Ghost.

Things took a turn for the worse at the midpoint of the decade, however, once The Scarlet Letter

barely managed to claw back a fifth of its budget.

"In my opinion, good things come and go just like bad things come and go."

Then, the Razzie-favorite Striptease became Hollywood slang for box office bomb after

a horrible performance the very next year, and G.I.

Jane was a resounding disappointment at the box office as well.

Things only got worse as the years ticked on, with 2010's The Joneses representing rock

bottom for the former star as far as theater receipts go.

The film only managed an embarrassing $1,355 per screen average in its second weekend.

Salary suspension

It might seem hard to believe now, but at one point Moore was Hollywood's highest paid

female performer.

After the success of Ghost, the raven-haired actress negotiated an eye watering $12.5 million

paycheck for Striptease.

So when that film flopped hard, the general consensus was that Moore was not worth the

money.

She didn't see it that way, however — and neither did Ridley Scott.

The director signed off on an $11 million pay packet so she would star in G.I Jane.

That would be the last eight figure sum she would receive, as studios became wise to her

salary demands, especially after she started to gain a reputation as an unbearable diva

behind the scenes.

The media started nicknaming her "Gimme Moore," highlighting the crazy and often ridiculous

requests the actress was said to have been making of movie studios.

She once asked for a private plane to transport her from her secluded Idaho home to New York

City and then reportedly demanded that Sony swap it for a larger one just so that she

didn't have to stack her luggage.

Talk about a ridiculous rider.

For her part, Moore has defended her notorious tantrums as her just being a perfectionist.

"I don't understand why it's so difficult to confirm appointments."

"I know I'm so sorry Miranda, I actually conf.."

"Tales of your incompetence do not interest me."

Sex symbol slump

In her younger days, Demi Moore once said, "The quickest route to power for an actress

in Hollywood is to hook yourself up to someone who can put you in a good position, and make

yourself a sex object."

That approach might have worked at the time, but even the best looking actresses can only

bank on being pure eye candy for so long.

The older Moore got, the more she tried to hang on to her good looks, reportedly turning

to plastic surgeons for help.

Various tabloid reports claimed the ageing actress spent as much as $400,000 on a full

body makeover that included collagen injections in her lips, porcelain caps on her teeth and

liposuction on her stomach, thighs, and bottom.

When asked about the sudden differences in her appearance, Moore flat-out denied she

had ever gone under the knife, telling reporters in Paris that she didn't like "the idea of

having an operation to hold up the aging process… the scalpel won't make you happy."

But that was at odds with what many experts noticed about her appearance.

Even despite her alleged surgical intervention, though, Moore has gone from a precocious twenty-something

to middle age before America's eyes and has blamed ageism for her reduced starpower of

late.

When she hit 44, she opened up about how difficult it was to be a middle-aged woman in the film

industry, saying,

"It's been a challenging few years, being the age I am.

Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don't know what to do with me.

I am not 20.

Not 30.

There aren't that many good roles for women over 40.

A lot of them don't have much substance, other than being someone's mother or wife."

Breakup blues

While Moore recovered well after her publicized divorce from Bruce Willis, she has seemingly

struggled to keep it together since her six-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher came crashing down.

Trouble was brewing amid allegations that her much younger husband had been cheating

on her with women closer to his own age.

The final straw came when 22-year-old part-time model Sara Leal spilled the beans about sleeping

with Kutcher on his and Moore's wedding anniversary, prompting the actress to release a statement

confirming their split.

She said,

"As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred,

and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life."

Family squabbles

Moving forward has proven difficult for Moore, and family troubles have only added to her

isolation in recent years.

The actress relied heavily on the three daughters she had with Willis in the aftermath of her

very public separation from Kutcher.

But she was said to have been contacting them so regularly that they reportedly considered

taking out a restraining order against her.

"You know what?

Life is life and it's messy and it's complicated and you know what?

It takes guts"

Perhaps part of that distance is owed to the fact that Moore has once again faced substance

abuse issues in recent years.

In 2012, she was reportedly rushed to hospital after allegedly suffering a seizure when high

on laughing gas and prescription pills.

Not all press is good press

Moore was briefly back in the headlines in 2015, though for all the wrong reasons.

In July of that year a 21-year-old man attended a party at Moore's Beverly Hills home and

drowned after falling into her 10-foot-deep swimming pool while drunk.

The actress was away visiting family at the time of the accident, but the fact that a

wild party had led to a death on her premises only reinforced studio fears that she was

a liability.

Comeback?

Demi Moore returning to Hollywood isn't only possible — it is totally in the cards for

2017.

A source close to the star revealed to Radar Online she's running low on money and has

decided to take her recent casting in hit Fox show Empire and turn it into a full-blown

comeback.

The source revealed that she's currently looking at new scripts and,

"She knows that she needs to get back into the game to survive and has rehired her team

of managers and agents to help her with another big break."

Looks like we'll have more Moore sooner than anyone would've guessed…

"Exciting, isn't it?"

Friendship - Don Paco's Casa - Duration: 1:52.

Hi, kids.

Welcome to Don Paco's House.

Now that we're making the neighborhood great again,

there's gonna be a lot of changes.

But don't worry, I'm here to guide you.

Today, we're gonna talk about friendship.

I have many friends in the neighborhood,

but if you're Muslim,

well, you know what they say in our Housing Committee meetings.

Stay out!

Hey, don't blame me.

I want everyone to be in the neighborhood.

I don't make the... extreme vetting laws.

Do you guys hear that?

It's the travel ban dance.

I wonder who that could be.

It's neighborhood delivery man, Amir.

Hey, Don Paco.

Here's your package.

Thanks.

We were just talking about extreme vetting,

which makes me wonder,

what are you still doing here?

I'm actually an American citizen.

There's a lot of us here in this neighborhood.

Really? I thought you were from Libya.

- No. - Sudan?

- No. - Iraq?

- I wish. - Syria.

- Uh-huh. - Yemen?

- Uh-huh. - Iran?

And? Just because I'm a Muslim doesn't mean I'm from, like,

a banned nation, you know?

So you see, friends, if you're Muslim,

we can be friends in the neighborhood,

unless you're...

Radical.

If You Read One Book In Your Life, DON'T Make It 1984! - Duration: 4:20.

According to the liberal media two books have been selling out on Amazon, the first one

being Mein Kampf, Like my edition that I keep on my nightstand that includes all Hitler's paintings

in a paint by number section.

The other book is called 1984.

I haven't bothered to read it because why would a book be titled with numbers?

Wake up liberals, books are written with letters!

Anyway, supposedly 1984 is selling out because crybabies are comparing it to the current

political climate, which is absurd because the Trump administration has removed the word

'climate' from all government websites.

But because I take it upon myself to be an informed American citizen, I made my assistant

read the abridged version, so here are my final final thoughts on why 1984 has nothing

to do with 2017.

In 1984 there's this thing called "newspeak" and it's when words don't mean what they

mean, or something.

Stupid like that. Liberals think "newspeak" is how Trump talks, but his words mean exactly what they

mean because he tells us what they mean!

For example, a bunch of liberals seem to be confused about what the word "ban" means and

especially when it's paired with the word "Muslim".

Let me clearly explain what "Muslim ban" means.

A "ban" is keeping a group out, while a "ban" is restricting a group.

See the difference, liberals?

Trump knows that a ban is different than a ban, because when you use it as a ban you

actually recircle the word into its original meaning, a ban, which we all know

is a ban isn't a ban.

I think I made my point clear.

Another dumb concept from this dumb book is "doublethink."

I thought it meant me thinking twice before running immigrants over with my car but that's

definitely not it.

Supposedly "doublethink" is thinking two contradicting thoughts but believing they're both true.

Like how I think that we don't need feminism and women only choose to be victims, but then

how I also think I was unfairly let go from The Blaze for speaking my mind as a woman.

Or like how Liberals live in America but also how Liberals are NOT Americans.

But that's just in the book, in real life everything Trump says is true.

Like how there can be 3 million illegal voters, and also no evidence.

Or how Obama can wiretap Trump Tower microwaves and also how that's illegal.

Or how Trump can be the most honest person and also not release his tax returns, that's

not double think that's just the truth!

In fact my biggest problem with the book 1984 is that we're supposed to believe Big Brother

is a bad guy.

He's the only one in that book giving law and order, and all he asks for in return is

their unquestioning loyalty, just like we Americans are supposed to give our President,

unless that President is Obama.

Wake up, liberals!

Stop comparing everything to FICTIONAL books and get a grip on REALITY.

Trump's cabinet is full of people who have a grip on reality.

You can prefer robot workers over human workers and still be the head of the Labor Department,

like Andy Pudzer.

Or not believe in public schools and be the Secretary of Education like Betsy DeVos.

Or not believe in global warming but still head the Environmental Protection Agency like

Scott Pruitt.

It's called "personal preference,"

Not doublethink, that's not real.

Also Obama sucks.

While this book is pretty pointless and clearly meaningless to real society, I did find one

concept that I think we should implement as soon as possible.

It's called "thoughtcrime."

Thought crime is committing a crime before it happens by thinking it, duh.

I'm all about this one, I mean, imagine how much time it could save!

Oh I think I'm gay?

Jail!

I think I'm black?

Jail!

I think the word ban means something it doesn't?

Jail!

Only true Americans would be able to get past thoughtcrime and could really work wonders

in making America great again.

So liberals, you think this is 1984?

Well what you thought is not what you thought and what you think is wrong and what you think is wrong it's wrong.

Sleep well, Liberals.
