This car is a 1989 Mazda RX7 FC.

It has a 3 rotor engine.

3 rotors??

It is an NA 3 rotor engine.

It also has a 6 speed manual transmission.

Do you still have that car?

Yes, I had it out at the track recently.

I'm gonna take it to a show in Okinawa too soon.

It is really popular.

The overfenders you put on it were awesome.

It's very nice and with 3 rotors too!

In America there were non-turbo versions of this car but not in Japan.

That's right.

This one is a NA I built.

Is this an early FC?

It's a 1989 so its fairly early.

They still built these for a couple more years after...

We made this a 2 door RX8.

You closed off the back half door?

Yes...

The back doesn't open anymore.

We made the front like an RX7 FD on this car.

No, 5 speed!

Can't use a 6 speed in a RX8.

The torque would rip it apart.
