Hey guys! we are Lina & Mauro from VamosSomewhere

Today we are saying hi from Montreal.

Today we want to talk about the journey to get here.

We want to share the meaning of being in a place

where we imagined to be for a long while

We met each other ten years ago

and the first thing we did together that we loved was

to travel.

That first journey was in South America.

An amazing trip we'll share later.

When we came back to Colombia after that trip

we realized that we wanted to go

living in a different place.

We loved our country and spend time with the family

but we wanted also to live in a city more

diverse and multicultural.

A city where you could hear 10 different languages

around you on the same bus.

With the idea to experience that same feeling

of cultural exchange we had

traveling through the south

We went to live in Barcelona.

And we loved Barcelona,

is one of our favorite cities.

We really liked it.

But, Spain is a wonderfull country

that is not to open to immigration.

We started to think: Ok, what do we do?

After Barcelona we went to Colombia,

we needed to leave because Lina had a health problem

we could not afford in Barcelona.

And we found ourselves in Colombia,

in a complete shock of being there,

because we wanted to live in Barcelona.

We went back to Colombia not because we wanted,

but because we had no chance, in a way.

And we said, Ok let's find a place

where they do want immigrants

and we decided to applied for Canada,

because we like better the cold than the heat.

There, the seed of the dream was planted.

The idea to come here.

We realized that Canada has some programs

We applied, and hire a company to help us with that.

We paid to that company.

Something that was worthless, after some year

because the company never presented our file

and we lost the money because the company went bankruptcy.

We started this adventure in Colombia

it was really amazing to be there.

We enjoyed our family, our culture, our food.

Back then we started another adventures,

we got into debt,

we did multilevel marketingm

chasing people,

But we were still feeling dissatisfied.

We didn't want to be there.

Our dream was to leave.

Other dreams started to appear.

New frustrations, defeats, failures,

we went broke, we rise up.

And this is one story between many we have

We have a bunch of up and downs

that will take to much time to tell you.

Suddenly we said

Why don't we go traveling again?

And the idea of starting to travel

and also find other ways to live traveling.

VamosSomewhere is born.

So far, we have visited more than 20 countries.

We have a growing internet community with you.

Between point A where the dream was planted

and point B, the place you are after achieving the dream

So many things have happened.

All this, that happened between A and B

Is what is really worth.

You start to find on the way that

the dream you had or the dream have

changes to something similar to a background

it's energy to go on, but you start finding

a lot of other things on the way that are amazing,

and you build other type of dreams.

Our dreams are not the moment when we raise the cup

or we raise the visa

or we raise whatever your dream is,

but the process to get there.

And if during the journey your dream changes

just enjoy it and let it change

and you get changed with it also.

Once you are on the goal

and look to another one

Say: ok, there is where I'm going

But I already have a lot of tools and experience

that will help me to get there when I want

Doing the job needed to achieve it.

And it's there, where many people perhaps,

get lost.

Because they chase a dream

they chase a goal

and they forget to enjoy all this journey

which is the one that will take them to the goal.

And when they get to the goals, it's like they feel

a disappointment, an uncertainty about: what next?

I made it! and many times we get lost

We feel out of place, because

everything we were working for and focused

to have the chance to get to the goal, is gone.

Because you already achieve it.

There is where you have to be more focused

about thinking: Ok this was the first goal

Now what's next?

Being on this new point

allows you to look from a different perspective

to a different place.

It's like climbing mountains.

When we want to conquer a top

we first conquer small steps

that will take you there.

And each one of them is a goal.

This dream is a reality

But the most important is not being here today

on this ground and have the residency,

No, it's all the process

Because today we have many more projects

that were born in this path we just walked

and are amazing and huge also.

And we hope will change not only our lives

but the lives of a lot of other people.
