'Heather Duke Breaks Up w/ Kurt' Official Preview | Heathers | Paramount Network - Duration: 2:23.

Kurt you're not working out.

I lifted this morning. Kurt. Look at me. OK. Now look at you.

OK. I don't understand I am a mountain lion.

And you're a cross-eyed dumpster

Cat. I tear up hankers throats.

And you chase laser dots across linoleum.

I make entire species go extinct and you can

at most dream of the day

when you learn to flush a toilet.

Sure we're both cats Kurt.

But cashmere and burlap are also both fabrics.

Us together just. Upsets the natural order of things.

And it would be rude to allow all the other dumpster cats here

at Westerburg to continue thinking that they too

Could possibly one day date a lion

so I have to break up with you.

Gosh Heather

Super mean way to treat the mentally challenged.

YALI Network: Following Up on Your Grant Proposal - Duration: 5:20.

[TEXT: Young African Leaders Initiative, Online Training Series]

[TEXT: Jasmine McGinnis Johnson, Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Public Administration, Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at The George Washington University] Hello. I'm Jasmine McGinnis Johnson,

and this is Fundamentals of Grant Writing.

[TEXT: The Fundamentals of Grant Writing — Following Up On Your Grant Proposal] This lesson is entitled Following Up on Your Grant Proposal.

[TEXT: Learning Objectives — Following Up On Your Grant Proposal] In this lesson, we will go over the important task

[TEXT: Why it is important to keep funders informed] of keeping your funders informed.

[TEXT: How to maintain a good relationship with your funders] We will discuss maintaining a good relationship with your funders.

We'll talk about what do if your proposal is successful

[TEXT: How to follow up when a proposal is funded and when it is not] and how to leverage successful projects for future funding.

And we will address what to do if it is rejected.

You should keep in mind that typically if an organization is considered to have done well by a funder,

it will be more likely to get another grant in the future.

If you are successful in obtaining a grant,

[TEXT: Used donated funds as agreed with funder] do what you say you are going to do

and use the funds or donations exactly as you have outlined in your proposal.

As part of your successful grant proposal, you included a plan for measuring and evaluating your project.

Make sure you follow that plan exactly.

[TEXT: Follow the plan in your grant proposal] You can certainly expand on it and provide additional information.

But do not include less data and evaluation than you have promised.

Once you receive a grant, schedule a call or visit with the funder.

Ask them how often they want you to send them reports on the status of the project.

If they tell you, for example, that they just want to hear from you at the end of the grant, do what they ask.

[TEXT: Continue to follow the funder's guidelines and requirements] Even at this stage, it is still very important to follow the funder's guidelines and requirements.

A funder once told me that if an organization does not send them a report, they are unlikely to get a grant again.

Additionally, maintaining a good post-grant relationship with the funder and achieving the goals of the project they have supported

can lead to opportunities for more funding that will allow you to scale up or extend your project.

Once you have received funding from one funder, you have a good chance of receiving funding from others.

First, you've demonstrated that you are able to craft a successful grant proposal.

Second, funders often know each other and are likely to be aware of each other's priorities

and efforts around similar issues and communities.

[TEXT: Be responsible with grants and donations received] So treat grants you receive well.

Being able to show that you can use a grant to create significant and positive change in a community is a great calling card.

And be sure to communicate success!

[TEXT: Communicate Success] Don't be afraid to share details about your projects and programs.

[TEXT: Videos, Photos, Testimonials] Videos, photos, and testimonials from project participants are great ways to collect stories of impact.

Stories of how your project or program are making a difference to community members are powerful.

Invite funders to visit a program you're implementing.

[TEXT: Share stories of success] In addition to the funder, share stories with your peers,

the media, and others who might have a vested interest in seeing the project succeed,

such as local leaders or your national government.

Don't forget in your final reporting to also include lessons learned and how these would be applied to future projects.

[TEXT: Strive for sustainability] If applicable, include a brief outline of future plans

and revisit from your initial proposal ways that your project can be made sustainable.

[TEXT: Keep accurate financial records] Keep accurate financial records and be prepared to account for every donation received and spent.

Retain bank statements, receipts and contracts for goods and services.

A funder may want these included with a final financial statement.

And if you're rejected for a grant, don't take it personally.

Rejection, unfortunately, is much more common than success.

[TEXT: Use rejection as a learning opportunity] But being rejected for a grant can be a learning opportunity.

If you're able, contact the funder for feedback and to find out why.

See if you can find out if you made a technical or content error.

Take the opportunity to ask about future funding, especially if your proposal made it to the final round of review.

Most importantly, don't be discouraged.

Be ready to move on and explore other options and funders.

To learn more about effective grant writing, review the resources available with this course and on the web.

Remember this effort is ultimately in service to your community.

And if it's worth funding, it's worth taking the time and making the effort to do it right.

[TEXT: Test your knowledge — YALI.STATE.GOV] After you've completed all of the lessons in this course at yali.state.gov,

[TEXT: Produced by the U.S. Department of State] you can test your knowledge and earn a YALI Network certificate.

Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly comes up with inventive way of stopping PSG wonderkid Kylian Mbappe - Duration: 2:38.

Throwback defenders are few and far between in this modern age, but in Kalidou Koulibaly Napoli certainly have one on their hands

He is a player who takes pride in the tackle, who extols the virtues of old-fashioned defensive play and will take whatever action necessary to keep the ball out of his net

The 27-year-old was tasked with keeping Paris Saint-Germain's star-studded line-up quiet on Wednesday evening and for the most part done his job well

But on one particular occasion, when he was dragged out wide by Kylian Mbappe and backpeddling towards his box, Koulibaly had to think on his feet to try and stop the Frenchman

Mario Rui was alongside him, but Mbappe quickly shifted the ball on to his left foot and Koulibaly sensed danger

Having been wrong footed by the PSG striker he pushed Rui out towards Mbappe to try and block him from delivering a ball into the box

Although Koulibaly passed the buck on this occasion, he largely managed to prevent Mbappe - one of the world's brightest young talents - from having an impact on the game

The Napoli defender also nullified Neymar and Edinson Cavani but could not stop Angel Di Maria from scoring a last-gasp equaliser to secure a point

The draw means Napoli sit in second position behind Liverpool in Group C of the Champions League and one point above PSG, who are third in the table

Queer Advocates Standing up to Trump's Trans Attacks: Oct 26 Debrief - Duration: 3:05.

It's been a rough week, but there's hope.

The Trump administration is exploring new ways to make trans folks suffer, and ICE is

trying to forcibly separate a gay couple in Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile groups like the National Center for Transgender Equality are putting together

resources to fight back.

We'll have the week's top LGBT news and actions you can take on Weekly Debrief.

Thanks to everyone who pledges a dollar or more a month on Patreon to make Weekly Debrief

possible.

There's rewards for backers -- visit patreon.com/mattbaume or click the link in the description.

Let's start with the memo revealed this week, showing that the administration wants

to end any legal recognition of trans people.

The proposal would lock everyone into one of two genders that someone gave them at birth

based on their genitals.

It would also invalidate protections for folks based on gender expression -- for example,

it would overrule laws that prevent companies from firing women for not acting feminine

enough.

This has nothing to do with how gender actually works.

Though there's a lot we still don't know about gender, experts generally agree there

are many of them, and they can't be determined simply by visual inspection at birth.

The proposed rule change could happen before the end of the year -- but when it does happen,

there will be immediate lawsuits to stop it.

And the chances of success, while not assured, are at least pretty good.

But if those lawsuits fail, the results would be catastrophic.

Not just to trans people, but to anyone who doesn't conform to traditional gender stereotypes.

Also this week, the Justice Department argued before the Supreme Court that employers should

be allowed to fire people for being trans.

And US officials have been working behind the scenes at the United Nations to dismantle

trans programs and protections internationally.

Again, there is no purpose behind these efforts other than to cause suffering for queer people.

Administration officials are also going after gay men.

A Mexican citizen who married an American was held in a cage for ten months, only released

this week after posting bond.

Despite being married to an American, he could be charged with a felony and deported.

Officials claim it's because he re-entered the country after being deported in 2010 -- but

it truth, he was simply turned away at the border in 2010 before trying again.

They want to consider that a previous deportation.

The man has never had problems with the law, is employed, and poses no threat.

So why are they going after him?

We probably know why.

With all the alarming news this week it's hard to know how to help.

My recommendation is to connect with the National Center for Transgender Equality.

They had a meeting with White House officials this week to try to minimize the harm of these

multiple policy changes, and they'll keep fighting to protect queer people.

You can find them at transequality.org.

And as always, Let me know about stories that need covering @MattBaume on Twitter and in

the YouTube comments.

Thanks to everyone who keeps Weekly Debrief going with the pledge of a dollar or more

a month on Patreon -- head over to Patreon.com/mattbaume or click the link in the description to join

the folks who make the show possible.

And I'll debrief you next week.

Up To Speed, October 26 - Duration: 3:00.

Up To Speed, Week in Review.

Hi everyone, Sravya here with Katie to get you up to speed

on everything that happened around and inside Verizon this week.

K: Verizon's network is operational across the Panhandle, and efforts are underway

to further stabilize and strengthen our wireless network in the area after it was

hit by Hurricane Michael. We also made a strong commitment to build the most

technologically advanced wireless network in the area. Here's Nicki Palmer with more.

We have some great news for the panhandle & the residents of Panama City & that is that

we are pledging $25 million to the rebuilding of that area & that will encompass state

of the art networks, 4G networks & 5G networks.

So 5G we've officially added this to our list of 5G cities as we move forward.

I'm proud to be part of a company that's doing that

& I'm proud of the people that helped in the disaster & will continue to rebuild

& we're going to rebuild it right & rebuild with the latest technology including 5G.

K: Very good news for an area that has suffered so much loss. As Nicki mentioned,

a lot of V Teamers from around the country remain in the area

- some volunteering their time to help recover and rebuild. That includes some

V Teamers who are volunteering to cook at Camp Happy Tummies - which is located

right next to City Hall in Mexico Beach. It's one of only two places to get food

in Mexico Beach. Very proud of the V Team and the work they are doing. And remember,

a great way to help V Teamers prepare for the unexpected is

by giving to VtoV, our employee relief fund.

S: And starting today, the iPhone XR is available to everyone, including

V Teamers on the employee phone program. You can also take advantage of some good promos.

We also announced that beginning November 2, you'll be able to get your hands

on the new Palm, a companion to your smartphone, exclusively from Verizon.

Palm is the size of a credit card and designed for life on the go. It syncs with

your existing smartphone using Verizon NumberShare, so your phone number and texts,

and anything sync'd with your Gmail account, is shared between your smartphone and Palm.

And, pretty cool, Golden State Warrior Steph Curry is already a big fan.

K: Yea, very cool. Alright, earlier this week Hans held the 3Q earnings webcast

at Oath in New York City. At the end of the event he talked about the importance

of being a brand ambassador and left us with 3 things we can all talk to

our friends, family and neighbors about.

You are the brand ambassadors for our company. You go around & talk about the

company every day. You should be proud of it, you should be challenging us.

So three things, financials, strategy & how it is to be an employee of the company.

Simple agenda. Can be a 3 hour conversation if your friends are hanging around,

or it can be a bit shorter.

S: And today, join us for the premiere screening of our Domestic Violence documentary.

It takes place at 10 AM ET today on the web - you don't want to miss it.

K: Alright, that will do it for us this week. Be sure to follow us on social for

everything happening around and inside Verizon.

Have a nice weekend everyone. Until next time, you are up to speed.

Sucking it up and Drawing | Elektra Fan Art | Digital Speedpaint - Duration: 8:12.

Hey guys it's Lynzi also known as BiteMeFox with you again today

Welcome back to my channel if you've been here before if you haven't welcomed to the randomness

This is probably not a great first video of mine to watch because I feel like absolute crap and don't really want to draw

But I've been saying I was gonna make a video about sucking it up and working your way through your art even when you aren't

Up for it. So I felt like today was a perfect day

Now, why do I not feel like drawing?

Because I stayed up all damn night watching daredevil

Hey, could you not?

because of that

And because I don't want to do something that's like a hi brain thinking type drawing

I am actually just gonna do some daredevil fan art based on the Netflix TV show

When I'm filming this season three just came out by the time we get it up

I don't know what I'll get it up

But yeah

So what I'm going to do is draw some fan art and talk to you about

sucking it up when you don't feel like working on yo shit what you can do and

Ways that you can kind of set a modder an expectation for yourself?

So you don't feel crushed if it doesn't work out the way you wanted it to but that's what we're up to today

Let's get to drawing

Alright future voiceover bite me Fox here. God the sketches that are so rough. You can tell I'm super out of practice

Because you simply sketch it. It's funny how just like keeping up a daily sketch routine helps

Keep you wanting to create and it also helps where your work looks better

So then you want to create coach stuff looks good. But anyways, I digress

So for me this stops for your sucking it up and creating a movie don't feel like it is of course step one

Putting pen to paper. Um and by that I mean just

Getting work done

Do a reference image do a doodle

draw something that you're good at but get something moving if you just kind of

Stay mired down in the tiredness and in the lack of motivation

You can't really get back up from it

But sometimes wouldn't you just kind of knock the cobwebs off put the pen to paper get moving forward?

it's amazing how much it helps I

Also, usually don't do digital art when I'm not feeling very creative

Something about having the ability to erase and recreate over and over and over again is just not good for me

When I'm trying to create like those eyes and I should read rework the size

But whatever it that's supposed to do

And now that brings me to the second point the second point is be kind to yourself

When you're trying to create something and don't really have the energy you don't have the juices flowing

There's nothing wrong with that. But you also need to recognize that you're not gonna create great work during those times

It's going to be harder for you and you have to just give yourself kind of the cheesy

participation trophy and acknowledge that what you're doing is more practice oriented and

More to just keep yourself moving forward than it is actually about the piece that you're creating

And the ABS are you're not gonna create a masterpiece, but maybe you do maybe

You know letting go the things that hold you back and just pushing and creating something. Maybe that's exactly what you needed

you never know but

You may want to if your piece turns out and I know how this piece turns out

So if your piece turns out like my piece they may not be one of your better pieces

you may put it in the back of your brain as a

Practice not a full completed piece, even though you spent more time on it than you really should or you did it your normal medium

Whatever excuse you kind of give yourself to beat yourself up

I've noticed a lot of creative people. It doesn't take much to find an excuse to beat yourself up

But that is the second tip. Just be kind to yourself

Acknowledge that you you know, there's nothing wrong with not feeling like creating 24/7

there's nothing wrong with giving yourself some credit for for showing up for trying and

On the opposite end of that spectrum. Another thing that you want to do is make sure you know when to quit

There's nothing worse than keeping or sitting there beating yourself up over and over and over again while you're trying to do something

Creative and productive or just while you're trying to do something

To help move you forward it. It doesn't help if you start getting mired down in it doesn't look as good. It doesn't

Feel the way it's supposed to um, sometimes for me especially with digital work that resulted me reworking the same piece over and over again

then we're gonna drop into paper the more I get away from that was my drawer where I don't have to

catch myself in the same kind of a loop of

reworking reworking reworking

Changing the shading upping the shading bring the shading back down all of that kind of stuff

And I also don't set myself up to create a stellar piece during time

So I don't feel like working if I know I came into the piece with the intention of just getting something done

I don't expect it to be portfolio ready

I don't expect it to be something that everyone just loves and

gives me thumbs up and all the praise on the the digital world a

Lot of times. I don't hosted now. I've gotten very different about that. I'm trying to post a few that I don't like

reach myself out there a little bit more than I used to just because of what I'm trying to do with social media and

Trying how I'm trying to encourage other people. So I've put myself in more of a soft spot on some of these pieces, but

That's me don't always put yourself in such a such a tedious complete

Another thing that are another part of knowing when to quit is for me

Make sure that you're both comfortable with the amount of effort you put in

You don't feel like it was a cop-out you don't like you have apps to work

But like everything earlier you also walk away when it's not really benefiting you from continuing in the piece

That for me is the hardest

Sometimes I'll just keep reworking and I just I don't feel like I've done enough because I haven't created something

That's really beautiful or that feels really correct

And sometimes you don't sometimes you just don't have it in you there's nothing wrong with that

But you have to set that moderate expectation so that you don't settle pull down

By what you've created you can give yourself room for practice. Give yourself room for growth. And yeah

Those are my three big tips for sucking it up when you need to create. I feel like

Hydra or what I talk about what I draw. I always appreciate a like a subscribe

Or a bell notification. Apparently we didn't have enough steps here

Or if you want to follow me on Instagram, you can watch the set up for how I set my stuff up

You can always see me with any recommendations for topics that you love to hear me

Talk about or drawing so you watch me do next week

I'm going to get back and finish from supposed to be working on which is my

Pokemon magical girls

Next week is going to be turning

portal into her which form I'm very excited about that and then the week after that will be oh

Wow, it's starting the week after that will be of course my Halloween

Piece and I'm super excited about I need to get started on that

I'm just realized how super behind I am and I really didn't have time to have an off day this

Particular creative stretch, but I had nothing and it happened. I'm gonna go ahead and forgive myself and start sketching on my next round

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I'll see you later

Man Utd news: Real Madrid crank up Jose Mourinho plans by plotting Sergio Ramos transfer - Duration: 2:22.

Manchester United boss Mourinho spent three years at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, scooping the Copa del Rey and La Liga titles along the way

The Red Devils boss was, however, a controversial figure during his time at the Bernabeu

The Manchester United boss made the bold decision to drop club legend Iker Casillas, replacing the World Cup winner with Diego Lopez in his final season at the club

He then fell out with Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo, popular figures among the fans, as his reign teetered down

Real Madrid are in crisis mode at present with Lopetegui under severe pressure. Florentino Perez was reportedly seen storming from the directors box after their 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in midweek

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has claimed Perez is eager to bring Mourinho back

And he also claims the club are planning to offload Ramos, in an action that would smoothen a Mourinho return

"There is talk of Jose Mourinho," he told the BBC's European football podcast. "The admiration Florentino Perez has for Jose has no bounds

"He wants him back at the club. Seriously. "The admiration for Mourinho doesn't mean they will go for him right now

"It's difficult to get him out of Manchester United." He then added: "Florentino Perez would also love to get rid of Sergio Ramos

"That would help with Jose Mourinho." Ramos is a club legend at Real having been an ever-present since signing from Sevilla in 2005
