Pop-culture artist & illustrator Jor Ros takes the new Wacom Intuos out for a spin - Duration: 9:02.My name is Jor Ros. I'm an illustrator and artist based in Barcelona.
I am a specialist for digital illustration.
I've been a longtime user of Wacom products.
Today I review the new Wacom Intuos.
I've been using Wacom tablets since 2005.
The packaging is compact.
Inside of it you find the tablet, a cable, a quick start guide and the pen.
This is the Medium size tablet. It's 20 cm x 26.5 cm. I think that's 7.8 x 10.4 inches.
Setting up the tablet is fairly simple.
You go to a link, you download the driver and then you're good to go.
Once the driver is installed, you can start.
What I did was fooling around with the options, because I needed to get familiar with the tablet.
You can use the tablet just as it is with the default settings,
but I like to try out the options.
The tablet has four customisable hotkeys,
which you can set individually for each software program, or you set general options.
You can check the battery level. You can set the options for the pen.
You can set the mapping of the screen on your tablet, which helps you control the movement with your pen.
It connects via Bluetooth and it's very simple - you just press the button and wait for it to connect.
The blinking light stops and then you can start drawing.
There is also the Desktop Center.
You can register your product if you choose to do so, to keep your product up to date.
You can also check here the options from the driver.
You can reach that menu in two different ways, this is the other one.
Here you can also redeem the three creative software programs that come with the tablet.
Download options are Painter Essentials 6, Clip Studio Paint Pro, and Corel Aftershot 3.
I chose Clip Studio Paint Pro.
It is a software that I've never used before, so I wanted to try it out.
It was very interesting to see how it behaved.
I started trying it out, to see how the line behaved with pressure sensitivity.
It was difficult for me at first to get used to a pen tablet again, after having used a Wacom interactive pen display.
I had to draw the line multiple times, just to get used to how the movement was being recorded by the tablet.
A few minutes later, I started getting better at it and having more controlled movements.
It is something very familiar to anyone that has used a tablet before.
Another thing is the weight of the pen. The pen is very light.
I needed to get used to it, but it worked really well.
It was just a matter of working with it and becoming used to it.
The top of the pen has three additional nibs stored inside it.
You can change the nib whenever you like.
The top also acts as the extracting tool.
I like how clean my desk looks.
It's a very clean product. There are no cables.
It's ready to use, without the cable clutter.
It's easy to take it along with you, because it's so compact and so light,
that you can take it anywhere you go.
Because of my work, I'm always moving around the city.
So I decided to put the tablet to the test and take it with me throughout the day.
Again, getting started was extremely easy - I just took my laptop out, took the tablet out,
pressed the 'on' button and then I was ready to go.
Just to give you a reference for prices, for the Small size, it costs 99 € resp. 99 $ (U.S.).
The Medium size which is this one, it's 199 € and 199 $ as well.
The available colours are black and pistachio-green.
I was surprised with how well it performed, how easy it was to use,
despite me not being used to a pen tablet anymore.
The integrated Bluetooth connectivity was a big plus for me.
The tablet's battery life seems very durable.
One of the questions I get asked the most is about the software and hardware that I use.
There's always more options for tablets but I can definitely see this an entry level tablet,
for people who want to get into digital illustration or maybe photo editing.
Maybe even for someone who wants to upgrade their previous pen tablet.
My work is mostly about the details and it really delivered in an exact and precise performance.
The Bluetooth functions sometimes took a little bit longer to connect,
but other than that there was no hiccup during the set-up process.
Something that is plug & play, and enables you to work that much faster, is just fantastic.
In my opinion, it's a very solid product.
It's compact, it's clean, and it's easy to carry.
Combined with the digital software downloads that you can get,
it's something that can upgrade and broaden your experience, e.g. in digital illustration.
Whether it was moving across the city or giving lectures or setting up workshops,
It's something that can go with you wherever you go, and enables you to work in a very quick and immediate fashion.
I think it is a very solid option for someone who is constantly on the go.

Yeah... It's My New iPhone XR... - Duration: 5:14.Well hello there everybody's James here back with another video today and I am
very excited. I have received this package in the mail and I have a
sneaking suspicion that it might be my new iPhone so, what I'm gonna do is I am
going to I'm gonna open up this thing and find out what it is.... Yes it is my

XS and the XR provided all the features that I need. It is a Product Red
version, it is the product red version even and this is cool check this out. Oh

get this thing fired up because this is actually, fun fact, it's the first new I
mean new brand new iPhone I've had in good 5 or 6 years and I'm just very very
excited. Literally the last new phone that I had was....
my iPhone 5s which is what I'm still using so yeah this is a pretty big jump
for me you know. This thing is a pretty big jump for me. The first thing I
actually notice about this is just the sheer size. Now that's probably because
you know I'm coming from I'm coming from an iPhone 5s which it's pretty.....
on the small side for phones nowadays you know I mean okay Apple still do us a
you know a certain size they still do that same size but it's sort of you know
it's very very much because fingerprints all over the plastic stuff now it makes
for wonderful viewing but yeah I'm very very much liking this but yeah Apple
still do a similar size to the 5s in the se but I don't think it sells as well as
it's bigger phones now and I'm also the weight again it's heavier than my iPhone
5s which is going to be interesting yeah so yeah I actually want to get this
fired up and you know and and set up and everything so junker
and this is it's all up and running all my apps and everything downloaded and I
am very very happy with it indeed absalom it one thing I did notice
about this phone when I first did you know when I first started playing around
with it the sound quality on its really really good I'm really quite impressed
with that but then again I am coming from an
iPhone 5s so it's it's probably not surprising that the sound quality is
better but no I mean all face ID and everything is all set up on this and
that works very very well so gonna set up my email on it though but pretty much
everything else is set up but now just in this video I've got a message from a
new person that's gonna be joining me on the channel so hope you enjoy hey there

Why Brazilian Women Support Jair Bolsonaro | Dispatches - Duration: 8:57.Copacabana.
This world-class beach
is now party central for Brazil's far right.
Weekly rallies here celebrate the movement's
rising star and front-runner for president, Jair Bolsonaro.
If you know anything about Bolsonaro,
you likely know that he's made some pretty outrageous remarks,
such as calling a fellow lawmaker
too ugly to rape
and supporting torture.
You may also know that women have come out en masse
to oppose Bolsonaro, taking to the streets across Brazil
under the banner of Ele Não, or "Not Him."
But what may be surprising is that almost as many women
support Bolsonaro.
He's polarized the entire country,
But women seem especially divided about him.
His signature gun gesture here
hints at a key reason why.
In 1964 women marched against communist reforms
setting the stage for a military coup
Twenty-one years of dictatorship followed.
Hundreds of dissidents were killed,
and thousands were tortured.
Jair Bolsonaro, a former Army captain,
is an open admirer of the dictatorship.
His only criticism:
They didn't kill enough people.
At Bolsonaro rallies people reminisce
about the role women played in calling for the coup.
Crime—and especially violent crime—
is a huge problem in Brazil.
Last year, nearly 64,000 people were murdered.
Bolsonaro himself was stabbed
in the stomach while campaigning.
His popularity surged afterward
To understand how fear of crime
is driving Bolsonaro's popularity,
we went to meet Sara Winter.
She used to be a pro-choice activist.
Now she's pro-life, and describes herself
as a "cured feminist."
She's been mobilizing her Facebook followers
to show their support for Bolsonaro.
Walking the streets of Rio,
we hear similar views.
Sofia Caputo voted for the left
in the last four elections
and now supports Bolsonaro.
Bolsonaro has seized on people's fears
to justify iron-fisted policing tactics.
His pitch isn't exactly new.
The military already polices Rio's poorest neighborhoods.
We embed with Lt. Commander Enrique Amaral
as he prepares to lead soldiers
through the Babilonia favela.
His battalion is part of a federal intervention
started earlier this year
to crack down on crime.
Soldiers are looking for
guns and gang members.
But really anyone can be a suspect.
It's like stop and frisk with M-16s.
They see a young man who turns away.
The young man stops.
He's standing right outside his house.
His name is Renan,
and his mother is fuming.
Renan was let go.
But his mother has reason to be scared.
Security forces have killed
over 1,000 people in Rio since the federal takeover began.
That's a 42% increase from last year.
And those killed are mostly young men.
It's why many women here—many mothers
fear Bolsonaro.
He wants to ramp up the military's role,
give police and soldiers more power
with less accountability.
Her son was 14 years old.
He was shot on his way to school.
What's at stake in this election for you?
But outside the war zone in the favelas,
there's less concern about the cost of fighting violence
with more violence.
Bolsonaro also wants to make it easier to buy guns,
and that resonates
with a lot of middle and upper class people
worried about a spike in robberies.
One woman, Katia Sastre,
became a poster child for self-defense.
In March Sastre was with her daughter at a school
Mother's Day event standing outside
when a young man walked up
and tried to rob them at gunpoint.
Sastre, off duty at the time,
was recorded on CCTV shooting the gunman three times
point blank.
He died.
The video went viral,
and she became an overnight sensation
Soon after Sastre ran for Congress
and won by a landslide.
The gunman's family is now suing Sastre
for replaying the moment of their son's death
in her campaign.
His name was Elivelton Neves, I believe.
He was 21.
His family has responded.
Do you regret using that video at all.
Fear, crime and security.
Like Donald Trump in the US,
Bolsonaro has campaigned on these issues.
Bolsonaro wants people to believe that his militaristic —
some say "fascist" agenda
can solve all of Brazil's problems.
Bolsonaro's supporters want change.
They want a new approach.
But at what cost for Brazil's democracy, if he's elected?
Enough women, and men, may be willing to find out.
