London

Well, I'm kind of the head of this household

I definitely run the home

Every room you pretty much go in here

has had some sort of personal touch to it

I love photos, I like putting paintings up

everything has some sort of sentimental meaning somewhere

To me, its more about the meaning of it

as opposed to how it looks

I enjoy being the mum figure, I enjoy going to work

and being able to still come home and function

I feel kind of empowered to a certain degree

I like the role that I play

I like the fact that I can multitask

I like that I can do all of these different things

I do like to sometimes take that time out

and it can be either going to the gym

to just have that time out to focus on me

or going and relaxing in the park

There's a bench that I like to sit on

and it's got amazing views around London

and just sort of contemplate everything that's going on

and just have that two moments to myself

with no distraction or no feeling the need to get up and do

When I had my first home

I didn't understand the meaning of home

didn't have any appreciation for

what having a home actually was

and now I've got everything that I want in a home

like I have the security and the comfort

and the love and everything that

kind of comes with having a home

it kind of ticks all the boxes for me

and so now I can say I'm at home

Problems In Borrowing From Life Insurance - Duration: 7:02.

Hi. Lee Phillips here.

I've done another YouTube video on what I call non qualified plans

basically using a life insurance policy

to mimic a Roth IRA

and you can do that

it's pretty cool actually I've done it

I've done it on a number of life insurance policies

for myself.

so it isn't some pie-in-the-sky that I'm just talking about.

when you put the money in

cash value

it grows

the way you get it back bad tax free

is you borrow it back.

Let me explain what happens when you borrow

against the life insurance policy.

The money you borrow

is tax-free to you

you know I have to pay money on, or tax

on the amount of money that you get as a loan

from the bank

to do your business or to

build your house or whatever-- that's not income to you.

You have to pay it back.

Well they actually make it so that it's a loan

that means you have to

borrow their money

because if we're borrowing on our own money back

that's cheating.

That's not borrowing, that's getting our principal back

or getting our income

our growth back.

So you actually have to borrow their money

the life insurance company's money

the life insurance company has got you over a barrel

and they've got you big-time over the barrel.

What they do

you borrow $50,000 from your life insurance policy

they take $50,000 of your cash value

and they bring it over and they put it in a penalty box.

It's still your money

they've got it

then they loan you

$50,000

funny thing is

they've got 100% security on the money

that they loan you

because they've got $50,000 of your money

in their penalty box

they actually take it out of your of your life insurance policy

so they've made you the loan.

They're going to charge you interest on that loan.

Every time they're going to charge you interest.

They're going to charge a 4% in interest

and it might go up 5%

it might go down to 3%

who knows what they're gonna charge you

lots of different formulas that they can charge you the interest on

but they are going to charge you interest on their money

the catch is

the money

the $50,000 that they've got in the penalty box

they're going to pay you an interest--a return

on your money.

That's reasonable

they're investing it.

So they've got your money in the penalty box

and they are paying you an interest on it.

They're paying you 3% interest over here

and they're charged you 4% interest over here

that means your net loss of 1% interest

and your agent he'll put his arm around you and he'll say

you know Lee

where could you borrow $40,000 at 1% percent interest

and my answer to that is yeah

but it's my money.

There are a few policies

that will guarantee in writing

and all of them will say "it is our practice"

"we never charge interest."

I can sum that up for you about two words

one that starts with B and the other one starts with an S

any questions?

BS

yes you've never charged interest on this

XYZ policy that you're selling me

the problem is you've only been selling XYZ policies for three years

and you can't borrow the money on it for ten years.

The funny thing is

in five years the insurance company isn't going to be selling the XYZ policy anymore

they'll have a new fangdangled one

and when you can actually borrow money from it

the funny thing is they're going to charge you an interest

I can absolutely guarantee it.

In fact

they can up the interest on you anytime they want

and they do

because that's the easiest way

that an insurance company can pad their bottom line

is to up the interest on all the loans they've got out.

So they've got your money

they're paying you 3%

they're charging you 4%.

Bad deal.

you know that 1% difference in the interest rate

on your 30-year mortgage on your house is a big deal.

Millions of dollars

well not that much

but tens of thousands over the 30-year life.

So you have to get a policy which guarantees in writing

that they will pay you the same amount of interest

that they charge you.

It's called a zero wash loan.

The interest rates wash.

There are two or three or four policies in the United States

from insurance companies

that will guarantee you in writing

a zero wash loan.

And as long as you've got the zero wash

then you can borrow the money back from your policy

there's no interest on it

the money in the policy grew tax-free

let's see if I put an after-tax dollar in

it grows without a tax

and I get it back tax-free, what did I just describe?

You know that as a Roth IRA

except I can put $100, $200,000 a year

into one of these policies.

That's pretty good guys.

You do have to have the cost of insurance and I explain all that

in the other YouTube video that I've done

called Non-Qualified Plans.

But now you understand the borrowing effects

of the life insurance--now they're gonna hold enough money in the policy

to pay the premium

until you die

so you can't borrow 100% of it

but when you die

the policy pays off

pays off the loan

and if there's anything left

then your beneficiaries get

whatever's left after they've paid off themselves

so they're

the insurance company is 100% secure

and if you do it right

you can make it mimic a Roth IRA

but you've got to have the zero wash loan.

Life at Home Around the World: Greta's Story - Duration: 2:10.

I live here in a senior collective

we are 12 people

Women, of course women

and we want to be independent

I have a lot of energy, and I am happy for the life I have

I have always been living simple

we lived in the country for 22 years

I have four children - two boys and two daughters

Now I sit alone and I don't expect people

to come and do something for me

because I want to be social

I don't want to be sitting here alone

I like to watch TV sometimes

then at half-past 11, I go across the street here

there is a place for lunch

It's very social, there are many people

so I go there nearly every day

Then I go home and sometimes we have gymnastics

we have dancing, we have film club

If something is boring, I take my car and go

to a restaurant or to a cafe in town and do something

My son, he said 'here is a computer,

here is internet, now you start'

and then the same with the iPhone

I have everything there, like my photos

My family they are living abroad, then we use Skype

so you are always in contact with them

It's very important for me to do something

to get closer to each other

It is people who are inside who create the environment

not the furniture

Fall Outfit Trends 2018 for Women over 40 | How to Style Camo Lookbook - Duration: 11:06.

Hi guys. So we are back this week with another video. We've been super excited

about all the fall trends this week after doing our leopard print breakdown

of different ideas of how to wear that fall trend. We thought this week we would

actually work on camouflage so we went on the hunt for some camo and we thought

camo sounds like a really fun trend because maybe it will camouflage certain

areas that we want to camouflage. So it's just a really fun fun pattern it's a fun

fall trend and if you've been to a mall recently I'm sure you've noticed it's

everywhere everywhere. So many fun pieces. So we each did our own little shop for

some great camo pieces and we came back and thought of some fun and interesting

ways to pair them and we thought you might enjoy seeing what we came up with.

So for my first outfit the sneak peek. This is what I'm wearing I found this

really cute camouflage dress at Macy's and I paired it with a jean jacket that

I actually had picked up from Old Navy Haul in one of our previous videos. Yes we both have

that jacket and I thought it was you know a cute way to be able to wear it. It

does have like some really cute like ruching on the side which we'll actually

show you in the video. And even though I'm not a fan

of round necks I tend to be one that wears more like a v-neck cutout I really

didn't mind as long as I was wearing the jacket with it. And in this video I'm

wearing it with some booties but you can easily pair it with some sneakers or

even you know some cowboy boots if you wanted to. I love this t-shirt dress

trend like that I'm starting to see a lot. I think it's so cute and I love it

with a little denim jacket so easy to wear. So love this outfit really cute. So

I guess I might as well start with what I'm wearing today as well so I picked up

this camo jacket from Banana Republic and even though it's a little bit hot

still for me to wear this I really like it. I think I'm gonna get a lot of use

out of it when it starts to cool off and I paired it with this long sleeve

t-shirts it's really soft material it's called their luxe line from Old Navy. And

I liked the way that this wine color which is like such a great fall color

kind of paired with the greens and everything and I put it on with my

distressed denim and some nude colored flats and these nude flats that I'm

wearing um I've had them for years and years. They're Tory Burch, they're like

such a staple in my closet but I recently found a great dupe at Target

that I picked up for my daughter and they're a great find if you want like a

budget-friendly option that literally gives you like the same look as the

designer so I wanted to share that with everyone we're gonna link those below

because you know just because you like the look of something

I mean you have to invest if it's not where you want to spend your money right.

Yeah and I really love this jacket too because it actually has like a little

drawstring on the side which for me really helps to create a waist and of

course you can wear these with you know white jeans or black jeans or even,

even like the khaki color you know pants go well with them. So honestly great find

it looks really good on you. And honestly for us Florida girls I'll probably be

wearing it with denim shorts for a while okay sometimes you know you want to

bring something like that for the movie theater or whatever but we're still it's

like 90 degrees and we will be until January. And for my next outfit I found

this really cute lightweight v-neck t-shirt at Macy's and I paired it with

some gray jeans that I picked up at Express and then of course I used a

blazer that I've had in my closet for years you guys; for years, probably about

10 years. Yeah they never go out of style so I thought it was a good way to kind

of dress up you know camouflage a little bit. And I just paired it with a pair of

black studded black flats. So yeah super cute and great for like going to like a

PTA meeting or anything like that and it definitely

makes me want to go get some gray jeans. I feel like I mean I thought I owned

like every jean because that's what I live in but gray jeans are awesome.

They're so versatile and it looks really nice with the camo. It's funny how we

kind of discovered all the different things that camo kind of works with

you know. And gray's kind of a neutral so I really like the way if they went with

that pattern. Really pretty. So this next one I picked up is kind of like a date

night type of look. It's a little camo skirt, it's got that raw hem at the

bottom which I thought was really cute and just something a little bit

different. You know I'm not one to wear a ton of skirts but I definitely like it. I

feel like for a date night it would be really cute and then I just paired it

with this army green button-down blouse and I thought it was really cute.

I could definitely see myself using the blouse a lot probably with like jeans

and stuff and then I happen to find these little green booties all of these

items were from Express and I just couldn't resist because the green was

just so pretty and I can for sure see myself using these with a shirt and

other camo items that I have but I felt like it was a really fun going out kind

of look now I just have to find somewhere to go besides the movies.

But maybe my husband will be inspired to take me out if I show him the

skirt. I know when we were shopping and we found the olive green shoes I was so

excited for them because I really loved the idea of her having a complete

head-to-toe olive green outfit and you know throwing in the camo in there I

think it's really unexpected. Yeah I really think I can use these I

mean it's not like I walk around that often with a heel but it is a

comfortable block heel and I do feel like if I wanted to wear this outfit in

the daytime I would just switch out the heels with like a little flat mule

or something like that, that's definitely more my style for a daytime. And then for

a night you know you dress it up a little bit make it a little bit sexier.

So definitely like a fun something different and just another way to

incorporate camo. Exactly and that skirt would also look super cute

with like maybe like a denim button-down shirt. Definitely.

White, black, I mean that's the thing that we really found with camo is that pretty

much all of the neutrals and then some colors as well. So it really is pretty

versatile. And for my last outfit I picked up these super cute camo jeans

at Express. I love the fact that they have the little zipper detail down

at the bottom. And because I'm long waisted and I have

shorter legs, I actually picked these up in a short and not in the regular size.

So that way they fit a little bit better down at the bottom. So for any of you

ladies that have shorter legs out there that might be a little bit of a tip for you. I

paired it with a gray button-down shirt that I also had picked up from Express

and then used a little red. I love that pop of red.

Little red purse that I picked up as well and that's something that you know

I feel like is a color that not a lot of people think of pairing with camel. Sorry camo!!

I really like that little pop of red like I felt like the purse was just

right and it looked great and you know the purse that we used was a designer

bag but we actually have a link for some great red purse options that are really

similar because you know we're trying to show you that you don't have to use

everything luxury or designer there's always like an affordable

budget-friendly option will give you the same look. So definitely check that out

because it looked so cute so cute with the red. And for my last outfit I also

chose a camo t-shirt this is actually one that I've had in my closet for a

little while but we linked some current ones out there. Express has some great

ones, Christina found one at Macy's. So I feel like a camo t-shirt is just

something great to have because there's so many ways you can use it and I paired

mine with my white denim and some brown wedges and a brown bag and a brown belt

and I just kind of like the way the brown and the white also paired with the

camo. I feel like it made it a good transition

from summer into fall. So if you happen to be in you know hot climate like we

are and you're still kind of feeling like it's summertime this is kind of

that way to work it into the fall trends right with a little bit of camo.

Exactly and if you're living up north you can easily pair it with a denim

jacket, you can pair it with a leather jacket or a blazer. And some booties and

some wedges. As we move into the colder months for sure I would throw on my

denim jacket, some little brown booties and you know still have that white and

brown element to it but make it a little bit more fall appropriate. So I think we

really had some great options. Let's see we covered; it goes

great with denim, it goes great with white, grey, a pop of red. Exactly. You know

so many choices. So just wanted to kind of show you guys that camo is really

versatile and I'm not sure if you've seen out there but there are

other colors and shades of camo. So you might have seen ones that are more white

or even I've seen pink, red. I mean all different kinds of colors but we you

know kind of gravitated towards more of like the traditional olive green very classic

one you know. I feel like it just, I don't know it looks more modern or more

like age-appropriate. It's a trend but this is kind of like a classic way

to do it. And so even if you know you're a little bit timid and maybe you

haven't bought your first camo item yet you know you can even start keep it as

basic as just getting a hat you know and incorporating that in. But for sure I

would lean towards probably some sort of t-shirt right you know the first time

and then just looking through your closet what items you can probably pair with

them quite easily. So good luck. Happy shopping and we have all the items that

we found linked below for you as well as like I told you some affordable

budget-friendly options for shoes as well as bags as well as jeans so

definitely check out those links and good luck. Yeah and don't forget to hit that

Life at Home Around the World: Anna's Story - Duration: 2:06.

Berlin

I am Anna, 26 years old, originally from Saxony

and now living in Berlin-Friedrichshain

I came to Berlin-Friedrichshain because

my former boyfriend moved to Berlin

and I started my studies here and then started working.

I think I was homesick because I was very young.

At the beginning of the training,

specially the first two years, everything was still very new...

I had to adjust to many new things.

To feel at home in a new place I need to have

objects that help me connect with something,

with people, or the places where I got them or bought them,

whether I got them as a present,

or a certain time in my life.

I have a lamp that used to be in the house where I spent

my childhood, in the hallway of the family home.

Every time I look at it, I think back of the time I spent

at that house and I know exactly where it was before

at link it to my childhood and upbringing.

For me, home is arriving to a place where people

take me as I am, where

I can be myself and have freedom.

I hope I will be working for an NGO in the next five years,

such as "Doctors Without Borders".

And, maybe living with a partner

together in a flat which we may have

set-up and decorated together.

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF WITH THE RIGHT CHOICE OF PLUS SIZE WEARS

The colours and the selection of the same is the yardstick for the persona of a person

and make a deeper impact on fellow person.

Hence, it should not only the fit to the size wears matters but what makes your personality

lighter does make a difference.

Moreover, it was a kind of degrading feeling in case of women with Plus Size figures.

Just think of the time when it was almost impossible to go for choices in case of Plus

Size Clothes, especially for women.

Then there emerged a sense of confidence among the women with the rise of the thought that

the beauty is not in the size but it is there in the way one presents herself with the perfect

fit, Right Choice Of Plus Size Wearswith the right choice of colour most suited to a particular

occasion.

It is true to a satisfactory extent that women with large figures have now some acceptance

and can look more beautiful than the skinny girl with body fit wear.

What is more noticeable today is that there are wider ranges of plus size dresses and

wears available in larger quantities than earlier be it plus size party dresses, swim

suits, jeans, tops, wedding dresses, or plus size bathing suits.

Today's trend of plus size fashion has changed the scenario of the wear for the heavy body

sizes has given a chance to feel themselves to be far better than the rest.

Varieties of styles, patterns, colours and above all economy in #PlusSizeClothes has

made women feel prouder and better than ever.

Plus size of a woman is a natural phenomenon yet she can be as much good looking and beautiful

as a woman with slim size with perfect choice of #PlusSizeWear.

The plethora of designs and patterns in #PlusSizeWears has made it possible for #PlusSizeWomen to

walk with dignity and pride and to stand smart looking among the many.

Beauty lies in the way your whole decorum is presented with perfect match of your sense

of dressing, integration of your intellect and your positive body language.

One thing always remains unique and universally applicable that Your Dressing-up communicates

Life at Home Around the World: William's Story - Duration: 1:40.

New York

My name is William Rowan, I'm from Jersey City

I've lived here for four years

In the home I have privacy - it's quiet, I can read

I can watch television, I can watch a movie

I think comfort is the main thing

it's just a nice little space

and when I'm home I feel good

I'm a family oriented person

so I certainly enjoy spending time with family

Some of the photos that you see behind me

quite a few are from relatives that are no longer with us

so it's just nice to have them displayed

and to feel that they're with us on a daily basis

While I do enjoy being at home

and sometimes having my space at home

I feel like being outside and experiencing life

Seeing neighbours, and even walking down the stairs

and out of the building, that's all part of life

so it's something I enjoy

and those are all just little pieces

outside the home that make me feel at home

Specifically Liberty State Park

the park that's right next to my house

It's so close but it's also really beautiful

I enjoy nature so it's definitely

a home-away-from-home in that way

I don't use my phone or listen to music

to me it's like living how people used to live

without always looking at their phone

because I do want to be present in the moment

I just love that it's neat

and it's relatively close to the park

and it's close to Downtown Jersey City

and Downtown Manhattan

It's a really nice place to live, it's very peaceful

it makes me feel happy, I enjoy living here

Pascal's DM Message for "Our Voices - Our Life" - Duration: 12:22.

I received my diagnosis on March 11, 2016.

This was exactly 5 years after the Tsunami struck Japan.

In fact, my brother made the connection, since he lives in Japan.

It's a date he will remember all his life.

So, I was lucky in the misfortune, at the beginning I had difficulties to walk

and for that I decided to go see my GP

and he, after a quick examination, he pronounced the word Steinert (Myotonic Dystrophy type 1)

- as he is a GP -

and by the fact that he had this suspicion, he sent me directly to a neurologist,

and the neurologist took about 5 minutes to diagnose that actually,

I was affected by the Steinernes disease.

He even congratulated the GP because it was not his domain at all.

My GP had remembered a neurology class he had, and so, it was really a chance.

It was a "strong hit on my head", but it was also a relief in the sense

that there were a number of things that I had a lot of trouble doing.

For example, at one point I moved a couch with my father

and I had a lot of trouble.

And at one point I let go, because I just did not have the strength.

And my father looked at me as if I was the person who was unwilling,

who did not want to and who was a lazy.

Having my father looking at me like that, was quite difficult.

And the day I had my diagnosis, it explained all the little worries I had in the everyday life.

In that sense, it was a relief, and of course, and my father's perception changed completely.

Now he has a lot of compassion, understanding and when I have a little worry

he comes running to my house to help me.

It completely changed that part of the equation.

So, obviously I started surfing the internet and I found a site

- in addition to everything you gave me, and you gave me a lot of information -

and I found a site called "www.maladiedesteinert.info"

which will share information when there is for example a discovery about Mexiletine, which you sent me.

2-3 days later I received an alert saying that Mexiletine had been tested

and I think every time when a new scientific paper is published,

they send an alert and I have direct access to the article.

Yes, I think my knowledge is more or less up to date.

And then also AFM-Telethon, they send newsletters

when there is a new paragraph on Steinert's disease.

What I discovered in my research,

and I think people will not like to hear this,

but it is that conventional medicine

- traditional medicine -

can not do anything for us.

I went to see the best specialists at the CHUV (University Hospital in Lausanne),

but I knew in advance that they can not do anything for me

and in fact the knowledge they have is only empirical, observing all the cases that can

perhaps help to make syntheses and deductions.

But there is no medicine

and based on this observation, we must find something else.

So I turned to several therapies,

including kinesiology, which works on cellular memory,

as far as I know, on the micro-kinetics that seems to work on the genetic spine,

which is a fairly new discipline, and of course naturopathy,

who works with Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and also with energetic medicines.

What naturopathy brings me is the nutrition aspect.

I think nutrition is absolutely essential to manage all the irritations we have,

to handle a few things better.

To manage the intestinal flora.

Because from the moment that the flora is in order, everything else is much better too.

From a medicine point of view,

I also take a lot of natural food supplements to be sure to feed all the physical aspects.

I also consider all the metaphysical aspects that are a little more delicate,

but I can talk about it if you would like me to.

Six months after being diagnosed, I became a vegetarian

and now, I think, I will take another step towards veganism, which is called "vegan" in English.

It's been 25 years since I avoided cow's milk, it seems pretty obvious,

and now I will try to avoid cheese.

It is very acidic and very irritating on the GI-system.

And also pepper,

All that is ultimately harmful to the intestinal flora.

Let's say that there is also a negative aspect in the sense that the diagnosis,

lets me say that I am ill

gives me an excuse for not doing certain things.

But then, it still started with some weird steps

and at that time, I was still doing mountain hiking

and I realized that I was having more and more trouble.

I found many excuses. I changed shoes,

I had a good meal before a hiking tour,

I told myself I must exercise more

and I inflicted some incredible stuff,

when I got to my car - it was mostly downhill where I had a lot of trouble -

I was almost in tears. I was so exhausted,

I was so much in pain and feeling so bad.

And then morally I said to myself "but it is not possible".

There is no reason why I can not do what I've always done, which I enjoyed doing.

So there, we must accept the fact that for me the mountain tours are a little bit over.

In fact, it's completely over.

It's all the more frustrating because when I came back to Switzerland,

now it's been 3 years, I thought it'll be fantastic.

I will do all the summits with my son,

to make him discover all this part of my life that I had before,

and now I cannot do anymore.

That's a little bit over. It is completely over.

For the mountain hiking part there is no strategy, no solution. That's quite certain..

The best strategy I have is to move on. It is to heal.

I would say, to move on.

It's a whole process, I have a friend who did a lot of work on it.

It's a bit the same for people who have an accident at work, who lose all ability to work.

He wrote a paper about all the phases, in fact, the phase where we have the diagnosis,

there is still a descent.

And then there is a recovery to reach a phase of serenity.

I am not there yet.

I was discussing with the other guests a little earlier,

explaining them all the aspects and everything I was looking for on the outside,

regarding alternative treatment options.

I think that the importance of what I do

is in fact to look for solutions at the inside.

I believe that healing will come from there.

For the time being we know, that there is no "magic pill" for us.

I do not want to wait for this pill "hanging arms", as it may come or maybe not.

What is certain is that all the "inside" work that I can do,

meditation and analyze my dreams, I think it can help me.

Already mentally, it can help me in this process of acceptance.

It can really help me overall:

mentally, physically on the whole of my person. This is a rather holistic approach.

Understanding "the outside" but also an important "inside" work, can really help me.

Acceptance and serenity, I think, will let me go much further.

What is important is the way, not the destination, in fact.
