Hogwarts Was WRONG. Here's Why: - Duration: 10:02.

Hello! Welcome back! Your friendly neighborhood Slytherin here today

and I am sitting in a red chair! Why? Because we

need to talk! What do we need to talk about? Hogwarts! Okay so I, like perhaps

most of you watching this video, have thought the Hogwarts must be the coolest

place on earth I would be desperate to go to Hogwarts, it just honestly to me

sounds like the epitome of everything I want from my life... however I've just been

re-reading all of the Harry Potter books and actually I've just discovered something

that is pretty against the grain; Hogwarts is wrong!

that's right in a few key areas Hogwarts does not get it right and today I want to talk to you about

those things. We can get out in the open we can all just acknowledge it and

hopefully move on although something needs to change at Hogwarts. a lot of

the problems that we see in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter can be

traced directly back to segregation of students or Hogwarts I think is wildly

irresponsible to lump the same type of people together in a house. I think by

now we all know that diversity is key and I'm a Slytherin which means I'm

pretty ambitious and cunning but like I don't just want to be friends with

ambitious and cunning people! If I look around my friendship group now I'm

friends with Hufflepuffs I'm friends with Gryffindor's I'm friends with Ravenclaw's

I think honestly variety keeps you a sane human being! I know that not all

Slytherins are evil however if a lot of slytherins do have that characteristic

and ability to up turn towards the dark, why on earth would you put them all in a

dungeon together? Again why would you put all of the book smart people together,

the brave people together, why would you not integrate students so people can

learn to be brave from their brave friend or learn an interest in books

from their Ravenclaw friends. The way that Hogwarts

does it keeps people segregated and I just don't think that that's great....

and also it probably encourages a weird kind of inbreeding. There aren't a lot of

wizards out there anyway and often cross house relationships are pretty frowned

upon for example, Slytherins generally only marry Slytherin so you've already

got a small pool and then you're making it even smaller and it just doesn't make

sense. Don't even get me started on the points

allocation system at Hogwarts and the declaration of a winner when they're

clearly not the winner! It's just not ok Dumbledore!!!

WHO would trust the Sorting Hat? He's a creep!! The Sorting Hat has been known to accept influence

and also spreads influence itself. It almost tries to talk Harry into being

in Slytherin. Also at the same time there was a huge silver sword hidden in there

for a long time and nobody noticed which to me is pretty strange and pretty

worrying! Okay a huge issue I have with Hogwarts is that

for a long long long time it condoned slavery! Even when Albus Dumbledore, a

really liberal headmaster, was head of Hogwarts there was still house elves

working in the kitchens. Hogwarts was partly built on slavery and I can't see

why it took so long for the Wizarding World to step up and address the issue.

Hermione Granger, a pupil at Hogwarts, shouldn't have been the pioneer against

getting house elves out of the kitchen. Dumbledore should have thought about

this. When Harry and Dumbledore have a conversation about Kreacher, Dumbledore

says ...oh...hey you know what Kreacher has to obey you... and he actually doesn't seem

particularly empathetic about the cause whatsoever!

Is being a chef not a profession in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

Why don't they employ actual people for an actual wage to work in the kitchens?! Okay

We're gonna get to what a wizard can grow up and graduate to be later so

stay tuned. SO is there not a more efficient way to gain entry to the

common rooms? In the Goblet of Fire there was a special charm done that meant that

nobody under a certain age was able to put their name in and yes we know that that

was tricked but shouldn't the common rooms have some kind of special charm

that only allow people from that common room in. I mean obviously I don't

think there should be segregation anyway but that does seem like a weird issue to

me. There was a lot of creeping in and out of common rooms that shouldn't have

been crept in and out of also imagine if you were a Ravenclaw and you don't

get your common room riddle right.... like what are you supposed to sleep out there

on the staircase? Speaking of the staircases... moving staircases would be a

right old pain somebody should fix that! Like imagine climbing a staircase and it

being like nope you're going over here it just seems really inefficient! Why are you

wizards if you can't solve that problem! So a lot of people at Hogwarts including

Dumbledore knew that the Chamber of Secrets existed after the first time it

was opened and a student died.... I don't know about Hogwarts but in any

other school if a student had died in a situation that would be addressed!

Why was the Chamber of Secrets still allowed to be out there functioning? How

did they not dismantle it or keep a better watchful eye over it? It should been

you know filled with Wizarding concrete or something... it just doesn't seem like

people at Hogwarts learn from their mistakes! In general I do think security

at Hogwarts is extremely lax! So you can't Apparate into the castle or its

grounds but you can use the floo network to stick your face in any fire you want?

We learned this from Sirius Black. To me it seems like a weird double standard

Professor Quirrell managed to smuggle in a troll and nobody noticed!

Also at the same time mad-eye moody was kept in a magic trunk as prisoner for an

entire year and again nobody noticed! At the time the hogwarts did want to

increase security they decided to fill a school grounds with soul-sucking

Dementors! Dementors are not safe! To me this just seems like extremely bad

decision-making! I think expelling pupils from Hogwarts

is extremely irresponsible. *Hermione quote about being expelled*

I understand if they

break the law but expelling them for doing stupid things like using magic

outside of the school is downright insane. So there aren't other schools in the

UK that witches or wizards can go too... so what exactly do they expect these

people who have been expelled to do? They can't all be lucky like Hagrid!

These are witches and wizards that they're expelling and they don't really

get a choice in being a witch or a wizard. By expelling them from the only

school in their country they're kind of expelling them from the Wizarding

community altogether, which is pretty life-altering! Also this seems crazy at a

time where there is a dark arts group out there that really want to

attract the disenfranchised! Voldemort played off this kind of thing! It seems

crazy to me and there needs to be a better punishment system in place! Okay just

to round things off.... this is a lot of people's criticism of Hogwarts; the

curriculum it is absolutely outrageous!

So witches and wizards attend Hogwarts between the ages of 11 and 18 and in

that time they don't learn any mathematics or literacy, which seems like

really bad, especially given the fact that the muggles are out there doing it!

These witches and wizards might be expected to mingle amongst muggles one

day so that their cover isn't blown but actually they don't know any math's!

Also we know that the Wizarding World DOES have a mathematic system! We know

that there are nine knuts in sickle and seventeen sickles in a galleon

without a grasp of mathematics, how would Wizards ever know if they're being

ripped off? How can they do quick math in the mind? There is also a worrying lack of

Arts subjects; I feel like Wizards also need a creative

outlet - and we know that there are wizard musician bands out there so where

exactly do they learn that skill and where they nurture that skill. Everyone

thought that Luna Lovegood was crazy but actually she was very creative and

didn't have a creative outlet Why is there no creative magic subject I

think it would be fantastic! Imagine what you could do with wizard art it would be

incredible! I don't understand why one of the best witches and wizarding schools out

there isn't nurturing that creativity! Also why do they not learn any kind of

foreign languages we know that witches and wizards do speak different languages

so how exactly are they expected to speak to their mates at Durmstrang, like

it doesn't really make any sense unless they have some kind of magical Babel

Fish but I never read anything like that! Also, once again there needs to be more

muggle studies because if witches and wizards are expected to blend in with

the real world like they can't go around being really excited by cars and plugs!

Again we're back to witches and wizards careers....

what exactly is Hogwarts training them for if they don't want to be in auora or

work at the Ministry of Magic? I'm very confused!

So in my opinion that is

everything that is wrong with Hogwarts! Now this is just a discussion video

obviously I love Harry Potter and there's no huge shade but these are some

of my burning questions and I hope... obviously it's been 20 years since we've

read about the world of Hogwarts.... I hope in these past 20 years things have

changed! Guys do let me know if you agree with any of my points and if you disagree

let me know too! No fire in the comments section just like happy

Wizard chat! Let me know if you find anything wrong with Hogwarts... do you

think people should be broken up into houses? Fine sort me into Slytherin but

let me integrate! Let me share a common room of some Ravenclaw's I think that

would be awesome! So they're all my thoughts but today that's a lot of

thoughts! So if you liked this video make sure you give it a good thumbs up share

with a Wizarding friend and subscribe for magical videos and I will

see you snakes, badgers, lions and eagles next time! Bye!

Here's The Ungodly Amount Of Money Your Boy Ed Sheeran Makes Every Day - Duration: 2:27.

Here's The Ungodly Amount Of Money Your Boy Ed Sheeran Makes Every Day

If you're in need of any further confirmation that you picked the wrong career path, just look to your boy Ed Sheeran, whose trademark non-threatening pop tunes earned him an eye-watering $AU80,400 every damn day last year.

Sheeran knows his way around an infuriatingly catchy poop hook – I defy you to not have 'Galway Girl' stuck in your head for the rest of the day now I've mentioned it – and the figures, from his company accounts, show just how lucrative that talent can be.

The accounts indicate that in the three-year period from 2014 to 2016, the singer raked in approximately $AU67. 4 million, with a staggering $AU29. 4 million last year alone.

That number is even more impressive considering that he effectively took the year off, with no new music released, meaning much of it came from the sales of older material.

Ed Sheeran has already had a big 2017, with his album Divide officially certified as the biggest "entertainment product" of the year so far, surpassing more than 2 million sales.

His accountants state his company expects "similar results" this year as last, and if "similar results" means a metric shitload of money, then I guess that's pretty spot on.

Per reports in The Sun, Sheeran is the highest-earning male pop star in the UK, with an estimated net worth of $AU47.

Impressive as that is, it's a long way behind Adele, who is the highest-earning pop star overall, with a staggering estimated net worth of $AU87.
