Traxxas Slash 4x4 Upgrade no 3 3D Printed Side View Mirrors - Duration: 4:26.
In this video I am going to do a cosmetic upgrade I am going to add 3-D printed side
view mirrors that I have designed myself and have them
3-D printed out and one of my local hobby shops so
i have the parts so i am going to take them out of the bag and show you the parts so here
they are.
So I now have the 3-D printed side view mirrors laid out on the table so now we will take
a closer look at them.
What you see here layout on the table in the photos are the 3-D printed side view mirrors
that I have designed myself and then have them made at one of my local
hobby shops.
As you see in the photos it appears I have done a
good job designing them.
But before I start Assembling them.
I need to do some sanding to get the rough edges out and remove the remaining support
material that was necessary to produce these parts when I'm done with
that I will show you the results of that.
As you saw in the video and in the photos I got much of the rough edges out and remove
the remaining support material that was found in the base of the parts.
So now i will go ahead and use a permanent marker to make the 3d printed side view mirrors
look better.
Like this as you see here in this photo.
So now i am going to go ahead and take some superglue and start assembling one of the
3-D printed side view mirrors
Like this in this photo so now i will go ahead and assembled them
Like this as you see here in this photo
And after that you should get something like this as you see here in the photos
As you see here in the photos the side view mirror are not straight up and they are tilted
it's because in the base I designed it that way once the 3d printed side view mirrors
are installed onto the body of the RC vehicle it will make
sense.
So now i will go ahead and assembled the other one
So I got that done.
So the next thing that I will do here is to use tinfoil that you see here and start cutting
some strips off for the purpose of creating a mirror effect on the 3d printed side view
mirrors.
so After cutting the strips of tinfoil down to the size that I need it to be so i used
superglue to apply it onto the 3-D printed side view
mirror
Then take this strip of tinfoil and apply it unto the 3-D printed side view mirror
Like this and then take the X-Acto knife and remove the excess off of the tinfoil unto
you get something
Like this as you see here in this photo
So now I am going to do the same thing with the other one as well
As you see here in this photo the 3-D printed side view mirrors are now ready
to receive the double-sided tape.
So now I will take the double-sided tape as you see here in this photo
and cut it down to the size that I need it to be
and then apply it to the base of the side view mirror that will be attached to the body
of the RC vehicle like this as you see here in this photo
So now the 3-D printed Side view mirrors are now ready to be installed unto the body of
this RC vehicle.
So I remove the double-sided tape that is on the base of the side view mirror and
apply it onto the body of this vehicle as you see here in this photo
after i am done with this side i will do the same thing with the
other side when i am done with that I will show you the results of that
As you saw in the video and in the photos I like the way how they came out, the size
was right and everything was good as I explained earlier on there was a reason why the
side view mirrors was tilted at an angle because to create this effect of adjustment
was made on the side view mirrors as if there was somebody inside driving this particular
RC vehicle
At this point I am done with this cosmetic upgrade thanks for watching that concludes
this video the end for now

How To Make Sure You Don't Get Dinged By The Dealer When You Trade In Your Vehicle - Duration: 1:28.
If you're leasing a vehicle from a
dealership or planning to trade your
car in its extra important that you
only work with a respected trusted body
shop when getting that vehicle repaired
after an accident. If not when it comes
time to trade in that vehicle you may be
surprised when they hit you with a
large deduction or you don't get the
trade-in you hoped to. Immitation parts
will bring down the value of your
vehicle. We suggest the best thing you
can do is to work with an auto body shop
that only uses factory OEM replacement
parts. One that will make sure your
warranties on the vehicle will stay
covered as well as provide a lifetime

How to become a heavy vehicle mechanic - James's Story - Duration: 3:01.
[My name is James Simonis, I am the owner of Jascon equipment".
"We work in the heavy earth moving industry".
"I decided to start my own business around the middle of 2015, it all happened rather
quickly by the time I made the decision to when I actually started I sort of made the
choice that it was better for myself financially and it's been going really well ever since".
"I completed my apprenticeship in late 2014 I did the Certificate III in Automotive specialising
in mobile plant specifically".
I was basically running my business three months after I completed that".
"I managed to throughout by whole apprenticeship be awarded every year from my first year onwards,
the recognition from my peers was fantastic to motivate me, to push me to go further and
ultimately put me where I am today".
"So the average workday, I get up around 5.30-6 am, I out to site by about 7 am.
I range from site to site throughout the day most of the time it's all based out of a
vehicle that I have set up as a mobile workshop.
I usually cover about 2-3 customers a day varying all over Victoria from Colac down
to Yarram".
"The most I enjoy about working in the mobile plant industry is definitely the variety,
it is very uncommon for me to be doing the same job two days in a row and also the locations,
working in field service I'm at a different place every day, it makes it easy to go to
work for me".
"I see Jascon equipment in 5-10 years' time with me running things as opposed to
being hands on I would much prefer to have people working for me as I've already started
now with an apprentice of my own".
"What I would expect Ash to learn from the TAFE would be the componentry work of it.
A lot of it's sort of remove and replace as opposed to remove and repair.
I always try to repair if possible."
"I didn't expect it to grow as fast as it did but obviously it comes back to finding
the niche in the market and word of mouth got around that I was a Volvo specialist in
particular and the work basically kept coming and it was sort of a need for extra hands.
I thought training someone up would be great because I can pass that knowledge on".
"Within the earthmoving industry it's important to have good customer relations.
A lot of return business is based on how you relate to your customers".
"I really encourage Ash my apprentice to communicate with the customers let them know
what the fault was with the machine so he can learn to articulate that to someone who
doesn't necessarily have a mechanical understanding.
Basically justifying the time we were there in a way they will understand".
I can't stress enough the need to set goals whether it be short term goals and long term
goals.
Something to work towards and tick off, there is a lot of satisfaction in ticking off goals
and setting new ones to eventually do the same".
