Prior to using your Foonf, you will need to do some simple set-up.
We'll begin with the headrest.
To install the head rest, place it into the inserts and press the button on the right
insert.
Press down on the headrest until it stops.
Next, remove the tool located behind the rear tether.
Using the silver pin on the end, insert it into the hole on the left headrest insert.
Push the headrest down the rest of the way.
When using the Clek Foonf in rear facing mode, the anti rebound bar is required at all times.
To install the anti rebound bar, you must first remove the seat pad.
To do this, press the black tabs located on the underside of the seat and pull the seat
pad up and out.
Now, using the lower black lever, recline the car seat as far back as it can go and
place it on its back.
To make room for the bolt and cotter pin that will secure the anti rebound bar, you will
need to disconnect the latch connectors from where they are stored in the seat.
Now, insert the anti-rebound bar into the two holes on the underside of the car seat.
To secure with the bolt and cotter pin, insert the bolt from the inside edge of the car seat.
Push it in all the way, send the cotter pin through the hole at the end, and then test
the bar by attempting to pull it out.
You can now replace the latch connectors.
The crotch strap features two positions and two lengths.
The position for the crotch strap is determined by your child's size and the direction of
the seat.
You will need to consult your manual for the proper position for your seat and child.
You can now replace the seat pad and install the rear facing base.
To install the rear facing base, you'll want to keep the car seat on its back.
Making sure that the tabs face up, line them up with the holes in the base of the car seat.
Inset the tabs, and then pull up on the rear facing base until it snaps into place.
You should not be able to push down and move the rear facing base.
Set up for rear facing mode is now complete on your Clek Foonf.

Stalling a Manual Car :: How to Never Stall a Manual Car | Manual Transmission Smart - Duration: 8:37.
Hi there smart drivers. Rick with Smart Drive Test talking to you today about
stalling a manual transmission vehicle. Yes eventually it's going to happen. Now
before we get started here if you're working towards license or restarting
your career as a truck or bus driver be sure to hit that subscribe button get

stalling a manual transmission vehicle ID the last video we did Lesson four I
actually stalled the vehicle and actually I was going to edit that bit
out but after in post-production there I thought that I should leave it in so I
did and I got a comment from Todd learned diaper yes that's that's the
username and he said that he didn't feel so bad about himself after I actually
left that in and so what I thought I would do was give you more explanation
about how to actually get the vehicle going it's just a matter of pushing the
clutch into the floor turning the key to the off position turn it back on and
restart the vehicle and just get going again really what is important is
knowing that it's not a matter of if it's going to happen it's a matter when
it's going to happen and just to practice you know a couple of times in
the parking lot dump the clutch push the clutch in turn the key off turn it back
on start the vehicle and get it going again
but don't panic don't get pressured by other vehicles on the roadway because we
all know the pressures of social driving so just take a breath
push the clutch in turn it off turn it back on and get going again as quickly
and expediently as possible so that's what we're going to do today install the
vehicle and get it going again and show you how to get going after you make the
mistake of doing that so stick around we'll be right back with that
information
my driver's welcome back Rick with smart drive test talking to you today about
what you do if you stall the vehicle either by dumping the clutch or having
it in the wrong here when you're driving it's not a huge deal at most people to
push the punch back in turn it start it again or push the button and it will
start on a huge deal now I'm going to take a moment because you're going to
you know it's going to take five to ten seconds and when you're sitting in an
intersection and people are behind you and I stalled it there you go
just start it back up check to make sure we're in first gear always check to make
sure you're in the right gear because a lot of times you might have stalled it
because you were in the wrong gear because you didn't switch back to first
gear you left it in third or whatnot so you just need to
check that you're in the correct year when you stall it because that number
that's the leading cause of those in dumping the budget yeah the other reason
that you may - all the vehicle is because you're going to do vehicle
you're not used to it or you're moved from a diesel engine to
petrol engine and petrol engines are far less forgiving because you got to bring
it up to the friction point give it a bit of throttle and if you don't give it
a bit of throttle you're going to stall it on a small pet - especially the
smaller petrol lane maybe a bit more forgiving if you've got to be create or
whatnot but the most part if you move from a diesel engine that
has a lots and lots of torque to small petrol engines that you can have some
challenges but for the most part it's not a huge deal if you're doing Hill
starts you might be more prone to stall it on hill start I have had students
stall large 500 horsepower diesel engines on a hill which you know takes a
bit of skill to be able to do that but so we're just waiting right here and
then we'll go around here nobody behind us now there's a beautiful coming up
kind of waiting for the gap here
if that move up here a little bit put the front tires on the front cross lock
line right there now we're ready to go into the gap or we can meet the gap
looks like there's a gap coming here so we could meet the gap here and then we
can turn left yep meaning the gap here we go in the second
gear turning the corner
turning a corner and turning the corner
and usually the only time that you're going to stall the vehicle is if you're
starting from a dead stop it's unlikely if the vehicles rolling that you're
going to install it you might have it in there in too high of a gear like if you
put it in fifth gear for example it'll just like you're just like it's going to
rattle and pull and you're like oh wait a minute something's wrong and then you
pick the right gear and it'll take off so I put it in fifth gear and you can
hear it rattling and chunking along there you're like if it's not sort of
running smoothly you know there's something wrong you've got too high of a
gear whatnot so that's another thing if you do stall it make sure that you check
to make sure that you're in the right gear okay so we'll just left it in
second here see and I stalled it so that's pretty common you start back up
make sure you're in first gear and then take off again so so the first thing the
next thing you do when you stall it is make sure that you're in the correct
gear because a lot of times you won't so we're here so we're uphill give it
throttle check the tracks and we continue and again can't shift on
railway crossings if you're driving a manual transmission regardless of flats
lightness so always go all the way over the track with the entire vehicle before
your shift for years on a hill skirt thank so that gives you
some idea some of the reasons why you might stall the vehicle and if you do
stall the vehicle it's not a huge deal just push the clutch in check to make
sure you're in first gear and restart the vehicle quick review of stalling the
vehicle when you're learning to drive a manual transmission or if you're moving
into a different vehicle or you're just not paying attention it will happen as I
said in the introduction it's not a matter of if it's going to happen it's a
matter of when it's going to happen because even veteran drivers like myself
will install a manual transmission at intersections of those types of things
the important part is to take a breath try not to panic just turn the key to
the off position push the clutch in restart the motor and get it going as
quickly as possible and if you are at an intersection make sure you scan the
intersection to look for your gap and get a good space to pull out into if you
did miss your gap because sometimes that three or four seconds it takes you to
get the vehicle going again it's going to cause you to lose your gap and if
other vehicles behind you honk and that type of thing just take a breath try to
relax and don't get too panicked about it because you just want to try and get
the vehicle going again as expediently as possible question for my smart

Clek Foonf PART 5: Convertible Car Seat Installing With Child - Duration: 1:34.
So today I have my little helper with me and he's going to help us show you how to harness
in your child.
So first what you want to do is loosen those straps, undo your harness.
"Ok, hop in" So first you want to determine the right height for your child's shoulders.
So for forward facing you want the top of that harness to go in right at their shoulder
height, or within an inch above.
If you're rear facing its the opposite and you want it to be within an inch below or
ideally right at their shoulder height.
Click in your crotch buckle and then you're going to tighten before you adjust your chest clip.
So you want it to be tight when you put your two fingers underneath, you want it to be
snug on both fingers.
You can adjust your shoulder pads and then you want the chest clip to be within the tickle
zone and thats armpit to armpit.
The last thing is the headrest with the Clek Foonf they recommend that the bottom of the
headrest be right at or just above the top of the shoulder straps.
Now that you're installed properly, you're ready to go!

Clek Foonf PART 3: Convertible Car Seat How to Install Rear Facing - Duration: 2:42.
To install your Clek Foonf rear-facing, first recline the seat as far back as possible.
Place it on the vehicle seat and remove the seat pad by pressing up on the black tabs
and unthreading the crotch strap.
Next, unfold the lock-offs.
Now you can thread the seat belt through the rear facing belt path.
Insure that the belt is positioned under the two tabs located between the lock-offs.
It helps to place a little weight on your car seat while pulling the seat belt tight
to get the tightest installation possible.
While holding the belt tight, fold the lock offs in place on top of it.
Release the belt and check for proper installation by shaking it side to side and forward and
back at the belt path.
When installed correctly, it should not budge.
Rear facing installation using latch is similar to rear facing installation with a seat belt.
First, disconnect the latch connectors from the storage area in the car seat.
Undoing the elastic band around the strap, use the grey button to loosen the strap as
evenly as possible.
Undo the lock offs on each side of the car seat and thread the straps through the rear
facing belt path to attach to your car's latch anchors.
After checking that the latch strap is underneath the black tabs between the lock offs, tighten
the straps, placing some pressure on the car seat to get the tightest installation possible.
Replace the lock offs and check for proper installation by shaking the Foonf side to
side and forward and back.
When installed correctly, the car seat should not move.
You can now replace the seat pad and you're ready to go.

Clek Foonf PART 1: Convertible Car Seat Information - Duration: 3:32.
Hi this is Katie at the Baby Cubby.
We put together a five-part series to help you get to know your Clek car seat.
A little bit about Clek: they're a Canadian company, and they were started by parents
that just wanted to make the best car seat to keep their child safest in a car crash.
Clek says it best: they say they make tanks, not recliners.
And I love this saying.
It really goes to show what kind of materials they're using in their car seats.
Recliners are cozy but they're not gonna keep your child safe in a car accident.
They're also the only company we know of that posts their car crash test results.
And these you can see on their website.
So you know they really stand behind their car seat and how safe they are.
Now some of the features that they have to get those excellent ratings are: steel reinforcements,
so their frame is made out of steel; that's the same materials that your car is made out
of to keep you safe in a car accident.
So that's gonna keep your child safe in their car seat.
Another way that they get these awesome crash test results is they use what's called EPP
foam.
Now the foam is on the inside lining of the car seat as well as the base, and that's what
this is right here.
The EPP foam is designed to kind of bounce back, and that's what's gonna absorb the energy
in a car accident, as opposed to most companies who are using EPS foam, which actually has
a tendency to break in a car accident.
The last feature that makes this car seat super safe is what they call the REACT system,
and what that stands for is: "Rigid-latch Energy Absorbing Crumple Technology," and
it's actually down here in the base.
So here we have your rigid latch, and in an accident, this green pin is designed to break,
allowing the seat to ride down this track.
And what that does is push down on this aluminum crumple zone, slowing down your child by absorbing
the crash impact.
Now all of those safety features result in some awesome benefits for you.
The weight capacity for this car seat, rear-facing, is 14 - 50 lbs.
If you use the "infant thingy" it brings it all the way down to starting at 5 lbs.
So you can use it from infancy.
Most of you probably know that rear-facing is safest for your toddler in a car accident,
so you wanna be able to keep them rear-facing as long as possible, and with a 50 lb weight
capacity you can do that until they're about five years old.
For forward facing, the weight capacity is 22 - 65 lbs.
Now 65 lbs doesn't sound that high when you compare it to other car seats on the market,
but when you think about it, your average nine year old is 65 lbs.
By then you're probably going to be in a high-backed booster or even a no-back booster.
So you won't be using your Foonf anymore.

Some other features that make this car seat amazing to use is it has a 17 inch base width.
That means you can fit 3 across in most vehicles, and not very many car seats can claim that.
It also has crypton-coated fabric, which means it's gonna repel water and make it easier
to keep clean.
They also produce their car seats with a nine-year expiration date.
Now that means you can use your car seat for nine years.
Also, because they're produced in Canada and the United States that means you get to use
your car seat longer.
It's only a month or so - maybe even a couple of weeks between manufacturing and getting
to your house, so you can take advantage of all nine yeas.
