graphite is expected the new technology will lead to an improvement in a number

of domestic businesses including electric vehicles in the near future

Joe seong-min with the details the Korea Research Institute of chemical

technology announced that it recently developed a technology that can produce

synthetic graphite out of petroleum wastes synthetic graphite is considered

to be one of the most useful resources in manufacturing electronic products and

appliances since it boasts a high conductivity rate for heat and

electricity they are essential in making a knurled materials which go into

works because it found a way to produce petroleum pitch pitch is made with oil

grease that is left behind after crude oil gets refined into petrol or diesel

oil making pitch requires highly advanced technology and until now most

nations including Korea had all relied on imports from the US Japan and Germany

among them Korea has been one of the biggest importers of pitch and anode

materials with this new technology however researchers say Korea has become

self-sufficient and won't need to import the resource anymore pitch is an

irreplaceable resource when making graphite and carbon fiber it melts under

high heat and can transform anything into powder researchers also said the

new technology will bring down costs of products that use animal materials and

will contribute in improving the domestic electric car industry which

How To Make a Sapphire Princess Cocktail October 2018 - Duration: 3:19.

I

I'll demo it and then you guys are gonna make it. So first of all I'll put the juice of half a lemon,

squeeze that into my

cocktail shaker

So that should give you about 15ml of juice.

Gonna take Martini Bianco.

Hold it around the neck. It's easy to hold it that way.

It gives more control, you pour through the pour spout. You want 15ml of Martini Bianco Vermouth.

That is basically two thirds of the way up the smaller end of the jigger.

15ml of Blue Curacao. Again two thirds of the way up.

Pour in 45 to 50ml of Bombay Sapphire

Give it a little swirl

And we fully fill that with cubed ice and you attach the top section.

Hit it at a slight angle

Give it a good shake.

Everything should be in the larger part the cocktail shaker and then we use a Hawthorne strainer

And a tea strainer

So you want to make sure they don't go into your drink?

If I strain that through the tea strainer into the chilled glass.

You see inside there's loads of crushed ice if I didn't do that would be floating on top.

Now now take the a bit of Martini Prosecco.

Nice and chilled, freshly opened.

It doesn't need a lot just a little spritz of this on top

so already the colour of that is looking like the colour of the Mediterranean Sea

A splash of fizz is kind of like the waves of the sea creating an ambience.

Finish it off with a nice disc of orange.

The colour orange and blue are so

retro 70s disco colors

So just wipe those oils the natural oil on the skin of the peel,

just spray that over the top of the drink

It's like a ray of sunshine

and that is our

Crochet Stitch Along: Clue 5 to Make Your New Afghan - Duration: 13:47.

Welcome back to the Bernat Blanket Stitch Along with our friends over at joann.com.

We're continuing on now to week number five.

We're gonna be filling in those jacket spots in the end and now making it a nice flat surface on the outside.

So almost the growth is almost done on this particular blanket.

So without further ado, let me show you how to fill in those gaps and let's get started. I'll take you to the studio now.

So let's get started on week number five. Week number five we're gonna fill in all these triangle spaces.

They're each individual

so they're not running together, which makes it actually more simpler to be able to follow.

The trick that you need to watch for is make sure that you are on the right side.

So the right side is facing up and then you're going to crochet along. So what we have is that we have four

corners that are the same stitch work and then you have 1, 2, 3, 4 and then 1, 2, 3, 4.

So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you the one in the middle first and you're gonna do all of

them and then I'll show you the edging one here the corner one as well.

It's actually pretty simple to be able to follow and I think that you enjoy it.

So let's take a look at the next page, page number two.

So page number two is the diagram and you can see that there's only three rows here.

These are for sections that are not involving the corner really quite easy.

So you just go across and then back and then across and you're done.

So you just wanna make sure you weaving in your tails as you go and get those out of your way.

Then in the corners that you have you have a total of four rows.

So it's over and back and over and back and over.

So it's actually really quite simple. The thing that you need to watch out for the most is right here.

This one here. Do not do anything with that.

So when you're going to go across you're always just gonna leave that middle one empty.

So it doesn't matter which one it is

leave that middle one empty so that when you come across you're stopping on the one that is right before it.

So there's a grouping of three,

so you're the first one here, and then when you go to start the next one that you're in this side.

So leave that one completely empty so it's nice and flat for you.

So without further ado, let's start this one here, the triangle and then I'll show you the corner piece.

So here we are and I'm going to do this triangle first and then I'll move on to the corner piece

just like you see. So it's one across and back and across and

of course, we leave the middle one of the grouping of three empty so that you don't do anything with it.

And then we're gonna do our corner starting up and back and up and back and up.

So it's actually really quite a simple way to be able to follow and

I did it really without counting too much because if you can look for where the bases are and

where things are coming together, it makes it a lot more simpler.

Um, I found myself is that once I started this I got to understand the pattern

so I just actually kinda whip them off pretty quickly as well.

So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna take you to and do the

little one first and then we can do the corners after. The biggest thing that you need to watch for

my friends is to make sure this is the right side up. So you can see and how I can be able to tell that.

You see this section right here? That is the right side because on the other side

it looks like it's not aligning properly on the backside. So you just gotta watch for that.

Make sure that it's gonna be what you need.

Okay, so just look for it and you'll see that everything looks really quite perfectly when it's on the front side.

So without further ado, let's start you on a little triangle here and then move to a corner next.

Okay, so what I'm gonna do,

I'm gonna start off with the slip knot and I am going to start off and

I'm going to look for the grouping of three in the middle. Now. I've already done this one.

So this is the first one and this is the second and in this is the third.

So this one because I'm going in this direction is the third one that I wanna stick my hook in

and I wanna attach it with a slip stitch and then chain three.

So 1, 2, 3.

Keep the straggler down on top of the line and bury it as you go.

So we're gonna do a two together double crochet.

So just going into the next one pull through,

pull through two and hold it and the next one after that pull through, pull through two and hold it.

So when you go to pull through all three it appears to be three double crochets together.

Okay, so that's how you start that.

So what I want you to do is that I want you to double crochet yourself down towards the valley and

I want you, you can either count it down or

you can look for the visual marker in order to know that you're at the right spot. So

because this is my last triangle that of this one that I've done. I've gotten to know this pattern really well.

So this one here is the middle one of the valley.

So you notice how I stopped? I just naturally did it.

So this is the valley so you wanna do five together double crochets in the valley.

So this is the middle one,

so you want the two in front of it and the two in behind it in order to make that work.

So let's do a five together double crochet.

And we're just gonna start collecting and you will end up with six loops on your hook

by the time you're all said and done. So there's five now and

six. Now you're just gonna pull through all six

like that.

Okay, so now you're gonna work your way up the other side. You can not hear me counting because I'm not. So what I'm

looking for when I come up the other side and

I think that's the whole point of a tutorial is to show you what to look for

not necessarily how to count all the time. So I know that there's three in the center. I know that the middle one

I'm never going to touch and I know that the first one here is the last one.

So one, so that one plus three or plus two more which is a total of three is

going to tell me when I need to start doing a three together double crochet for the edge which is next.

Okay, so this is the one I need to stop at.

So this is the last one, so the two in front of it

need to be the ones to also do the three together double crochet.

Okay, so you have four loops on the hook pull through all four.

So without having to turn the afghan all the way around you don't really need to

just may, be able to see it and access it.

It just makes it easier and quicker for you.

You going chain a total of three and that counts as part of three together double crochet which will happen.

The next one is right here. Okay, so don't, this whole glob of stuff is all one stitch.

So your next one there and you're gonna collect the next two together and make that a two together double crochet and

pull through all three loops and now with that it looks like a three together double crochet.

So in this particular instance, we have one double crochet that's sitting by itself and

then you do your five together double crochets. So you start collecting the next five.

You can see that on the diagram too that there was one

stitch that was on its own in this particular row.

So you got, you're looking for a total of six

loops on the hook,

pull through all of them and then you just have one that stands by itself because it was on the other side as well there

was one just before we did all that and then the last three stitches see, 1, 2

and 3, those are gonna be together as a three together double crochet.

See how these are coming together here? Don't confuse this chain as an extra stitch,

it's not, it's part of the, it's part of that whole mess or that whole glob.

[laughs] mess may not be the right word but sometimes it couldn't look like a mess. So you're just gonna turn your work and

now you're going to chain three and this is gonna count as one of the grouping of five.

So you just advance to the next one and put the next four together

and that concludes that.

So now that you got your five loops on your hook,

okay, that's what you want. You wanna pull through all five and you're done. That's it!

So what you're just gonna do is just loop it and pull through and then you're gonna cut that and you're going to

use your darning needle and weave in your ends.

Okay, so I was burying the other one, I was pop it to the back when I do it and

then remember for your particular

instance here you want to go back and forth the total of three times

to bury this in completely.

So just 1

and when you do that it'll settle down that that spot as well. So 2 and 3.

So that would be how you would do those particular triangles.

So you'll just move down the project and grab another one or do another triangle and just fill those all in just like you see.

So what we're gonna do now is that we're going to advance ourselves to a corner. The corners are pretty simple,

there's five rows to do that.

To do the corner you're just gonna look at it. You're looking at the right side up.

So it's the same side that you started these little triangles. You remember you got three in the corner,

up at the top peak you're gonna skip the first, the middle one and you're just gonna go for the first one. So

wrap that hook, put a slipknot on there first to lock it into position,

just go into that one and then just slip stitch it to attach and then chain three. So 1, 2

and 3. So the next two in a row, you're gonna put those together.

Kind of how we did it before right?

So you're gonna put those together and pull through all three loops.

So this starting chain plus those two give it the illusion of three together double crochet.

You're just gonna double crochet yourself across and

then the final three stitches that you can identify will each be a double crochet or will be three together double crochet at the other side.

So because the distance is more as far as longer than the other distance that you had in the other triangles

it's a little bit more work in order to do this one here, but it fills in quite beautifully once it's done.

So I'm just getting close to the edge. I can feel it in palm in my hand.

So remember that there's two together here,

so that's 1, 2 and 3. So I have two more stitches that I wanna fill in with that regular double crochet

before I do the final three together double crochet. Noticing that I'm not counting. I'm only looking for the visual cue.

So 1, 2 and 3, so put those three together.

I'm gonna have to trim that out

and do your last one

and then pull through all four loops and turn your work. So you don't have to turn everything

you just gotta turn the part that you're working on. So you're just gonna chain three and

then the first two are gonna come together. This whole area here is one

so the next two are right here and you're just gonna put those together with the two double crochet together and

with the three loops pulling it together

it gives the illusion of three together double crochet and now you're just gonna double crochet your self across.

And then you're going to stop and do a three together double crochet on the final three

stitches of this section going across. So every time you cross you're eliminating out four stitches

which makes it really quite quick work to be able to to get it done.

So it's almost like a corner-to-corner concept and essentially every time you pass there's less and less to do.

So I'm looking for the key. So this here is one stitch,

okay, so all those three at the end so plus that one and that one

so that will be the three that come together. So we're gonna just grab the next one and the one after that and

the final one here and put those together and then that's it. So you're gonna turn back,

you're going to chain three and

then just grab the first two

and put them together and

then just double crochet yourself across and then the last

three stitches are gonna come together once again.

So this is the third pass.

There's a total of five passes in order to do this.

Okay, so these three are considered 1, 2 and 3. I just happen to stop right where I should have.

As you get used to patterns, sometimes you just body naturally, that's what it needs to do. Pull through all four loops, turn your work,

let's keep on getting smaller. So chain up three,

put the first two together.

So the next two are by themselves and I can tell that by the, um,

pattern and I've also have done it several times that I can understand that as well. And then the final three are together.

So this whole group here is 1, 2 and 3,

put those together.

Okay, and then this is the last pass. So on the corner if you remember from the triangle we end up having five that came

together. On the corner here there's only four. So you're gonna chain up

three and then it's only the collecting of the next three because there's only three left anyway to be able to pull those together.

So it's a three together double crochet and

then you're just gonna pull through everything and then just loop it and pull through and then just fasten this off and

then just do all of your corners and just get yourself ready then for week number six

which will be the final week to do your border.

So again, like before what you've just learned on one side you're going to do the other so that you have nice flat edges in order to

continue on with your final week, week number six next time. So until next time I'm Mikey on behalf of The Crochet Crowd

as well as my friends over at joann.com. We'll see you again real soon. Bye, bye 👋

How to make a Halloween eyeball - Duration: 9:27.

hey guys Vonbodan here on this tutorial I'm going to walk you through the steps

to make your own eye unfortunately have some hot glue Booger there but going to

show you how to make and I um this one is for something that I will show you

when I come back to do this tutorial all right stay tuned Vonbodan back with

this tutorial on how to do one of these eyes now first thing let me this skull will

be the new head piece once it's all said and done for my Scythe or sickle um that

I've showed you picture of the blade getting made so I thought this would be

kind of a cool tutorial to do um so first thing first let's put that over

there for a hot second some of this stuff out of the way um this will

eventually get covered with a little bit of flesh and whatnot if you seen the

pictures before I had cut this was connected up here the teeth were

connected I cut it cut the jaw off um so I can accommodate for the sickle blade

to come through there and I'll add some corpsing and of course it'll have just

one eye but and I will do a tutorial on this at a later point in time but the

skull but starting with this now you could get ping-pong balls and go that

route I had some um little red ones that were for a magic

trick that I don't perform anymore and they were just kind of taking up space

so I decided to go way out on a limb and do something a little bit different I took

and painted it white if you can see in the back there's still some on the red

peeking through but nobody's ever gonna see that so the next step after that

after painting the ball all white is if you take a piece of yarn and let me see

if I can do this real quick let me set that up. if you take a piece of yarn like so

see if we can move this around. and you start fraying the pieces of it.

don't need a whole lot but you free you fray it up and that will give you the

veining capillaries and whatnot now this is pretty thick and heavy with with the

veining mainly because I want it to be able to be seen from stage because this

will be on stage if you were to make one of these for a skull or a corpse body

that people are gonna get close to not a big deal do it a lot thinner you don't

have to have these thick ones and the thing is is once this in here

you know I will end up taking it and

probably turning the eyeball up a bit and covering it with an eyelid to where

only some of the red is being able to be seen in the pupil and whatnot and then

this one will be an empty socket but still kind of cool even if you were to

do this for a Halloween would be a very cool decoration that you could have for

Halloween but nonetheless back to this so once you take and you start getting

your yarn frayed up you want to glue it I used hot glue but you could use school

glue put a little dab on on the part that's still solid

I actually tighten knot so I had a real nice solid base to work with and you're

gonna take the the veining from the knot if you do the knot and you're going to

use Mod Podge granted and this isn't kind of stuff that you'd get in the store but

it's easily made at home some water in school glue you're good to go but I took

this and I set it first face down to where that knot was on top

and I took the modge podge and just kind of went over it and started getting the

yarn really really wet with the modge podge to glue it to the ball once you

get it all glued on there go over it a few couple few times you know two or

three times to make sure you got it as sealed up as possible you know if you

wanted to do this to where it was hanging out

the nerve you know you could theoretically leave you know a couple

inches of this and paint it whatever color or leave it red whatever you want

to do um to give you that optic nerve to be hanging out of the socket if you

wanted to but I'm not doing that so after you have done that you will be

able to go online I found mine on Pinterest you can print out irises

different irises um different colors and things like that

granted these were way too big and I wasn't sure what they were gonna print

out size wise but nonetheless I found one that I I really liked I thought with

the blue and the white and then the red they would all be distinct enough that

they would play off of one another so once that was done and I printed those

out I cut it out as close to the edges as possible and I tried to use glue

stick positionable glue stick that didn't seem to hold as well but excuse

me I did use a hot glue gun and that worked

so once this is totally drying I'll make sure I get all the the hot glue boogers

off of it and then I'm going to use let's turn around so you could actually

see it it's top coat and I will cover the entire eye or at least the part

that's gonna be visible to give it a nice wet look and also seal all of that

in then it'll go in the eye socket and get glued down whatnot and then I will

start molding around that to

close it up give it some eyelids and this well that's for a different video

sorry I'm drifting here so hopefully you found that interesting and useful I will

try to post picture of the finished eye on my business page on Facebook and if

this is your first time to my channel hit that subscribe button make comment

like the video and I will see you on the next video thanks bye

How to make a 3D Buttercream Pumpkin Cake | Tutorial | Kurlina's Foodie Chronicles - Duration: 4:37.

Level your 3 cakes layers only and leave the 4th one with its top.

Layer and fill your cakes. I'm using cream cheese frosting to fill my cakes

Start carving from the top.

Round the corner of the cake. Trim down the sides of the cake.

Round the bottom part of the cake.

Continue carving until you're happy with the shape.

Don't forget to carve in the pumpkin ridges.

Take your time while carving to ensure you get the perfect shape.

I ended up adding one more ridge.

When you're done, the pumpkin should look like this.

Crumb coat and chill for 30 minutes.

Using a butter knife makes it easier to get into those ridges.

Apply a final coat of buttercream.

Try to smooth the cake at this point and then pop it into the fridge to chill.

Dip the butter knife in some hot water and smooth the buttercream.

Add some tylose powder to some brown fondant to make the stem of the pumpkin.

Add the stem to the cake using a toothpick.

I also added some leaves to the pumpkin which I forgot to film.

How To Make And Roll Lard Pie Pastry || Le Gourmet TV Recipes - Duration: 5:26.

I bet you're looking for a recipe on how to make pie dough and then how to roll

it out into a pie plate. You're in luck because this is that video! So this is an

all lard or pure lard pie dough, if you're looking for an all butter pie

dough, I will link to that below or above or beside. This is super easy to make

here's what I did: The first thing I do for this recipe is make up the liquid,

and that is one egg and I crack that into the bottom of a measuring cup, then

I put it in a tablespoon of vinegar, and don't worry it's not gonna taste like

vinegar the acid just makes this pie crust really soft. Then I put in enough

cold water to bring that up to about half a cup. Whisk that together and move

on to the dry ingredients. The only thing that's changed from from what I

made it as a kid is I now use a food processor. I put half of the flour in the

food processor along with the salt and sugar. This is a lard pie crust which is

great for savoury or sweet pies. If you're doing a savoury pie don't put in the

sugar, if you're doing a sweet pie put in the sugar. I pulsed that a few times, take

the lid off and then I put in the frozen lard. I'm using pure leaf lard that I've

chopped into little pieces and frozen to get it really hard. Pure leaf lard is

really easy to find where we live, I know in some parts of the United States it

can be a little bit more difficult. Try to get pure leaf lard if you can. I

pulsed that a few times just to bring it together so that it looks like little

peas coated in flour, and then I put the rest of the flour in and I pulse it

again to make it look like smaller little peas coated in flour. Now that

I've got the lard all broken up I slowly drizzle in the liquid. Very slowly. While

pulsing it, and you're probably not going to use all of the liquid. The biggest

setback with using a food processor for this is the tendency is to put in too

much liquid. Once it sort of comes together roughly into a rough ball stop

putting in the liquid, pour the pie dough out on your counter top and then just use your

hands to bring it together into a mound. Don't touch it too much, you don't want

the heat transferred from your hands to melt the lard. Once you've got it

together into a ball,

cut that ball in half. Shape each half into a round disc and then cover those

in plastic wrap and stick them into the fridge for about an hour. So for rolling

it out again really simple; flour your counter top and your rolling pin, get the

dough out of the fridge and cover it both sides in a little bit of flour so

it's not sticky. Then you take your rolling pin and you start in the centre

and you roll towards you. Put your rolling pin back in the centre and roll

away. Then you turn the dough 90 degrees and you repeat that process.

You don't need to press down really hard, almost no pressure at all. Keep doing

that, keep rotating at 90 degrees do it again 90 degrees, don't be afraid to pick

up your pie dough and turn it over. And make sure that there's enough flour

underneath so it's not sticking to your countertop. You shouldn't be afraid to

pick it up move it, turn it over, it's very resilient. You keep doing

that until it reaches the size that is for your pie plate. My number one mistake

over and over and over again is; I roll it out too far, I make it too big. Which

isn't really much of a problem it just makes for thinner crust on the bottom.

Now get your pie plate, fold the pie dough in half, put your pie plate in

front of it, pick it up and then unfold it. A lot of people tell you to put it

around a rolling pin, I don't bother with that I just pick it up. It is again like

I said very resilient. Then you gently lift it up and push it down into the

corners, and then because I've rolled it out too big I take the excess and I fold

it under. I folded under and then I crimp it with

my thumb and forefingers. I'm not very artful...

Now an all lard pie dough is great for sweet and savoury pies this one is is

particularly good for meat pies. I really like this, it's what I grew up with but I

have to say as I grow older I lean more towards all butter. And don't worry if

your crust around the top edge isn't perfect. I mean you made it at home, it's

way better than anything you're gonna buy in a store and the only way to get

that perfect top edge is to have a team of food stylists working behind the

scenes to make it look that great. So take this pie dough and fill it with

something wonderful! Hope to see you again soon,

selection too and just do it like this

okay I'm done with my selection without clear is a cleaning everything now let's

create a rechangle make it black

we make rectangle black because gold looks much better on a black color let's

make it gold first press control-shift you just to kill all the color then

press ctrl J to make a copy of that layer press ctrl I to invert it then

make it different then by pressing ctrl e merge these layers then again press

ctrl J press ctrl I to invert it then make a difference now by pressing ctrl

ok merge these two layers ok as you can see now it looks like from metal ready

then we go into the image adjustment brightness controls dictionary don't

need here image color balance ok mid-tones

it's yellow read something about sixty shadows yellow ghost the maximum I'll

drop a little bit of red 70 is quite enough

highlights red okay looks like a gold of course we can go to the levels you can

go to the curves make it more perfect but just to see how it works

I believe it's enough this really cool effect you can do it with any object you

like okay now let's go to our car first of all let's duplicate just in

case hide it and now to make it looks like from gold we have to cut everything

useless like wheels all the black objects glass everything we can do it by

use simple selection and deleting so let's duplicate this layer one more time

work that hide this one and just you can just eraise it here you can

just take a selection tool and select the useless objects and cut it you can

use a pen tool that actually I use a lot when I select something I just go

forward I believe it's too boring to watch how is selecting it and walk with

it okay I'm just done with my selection so

it should be like this you can take any kind of like I just took grave at first

I found actually now

let's press shift control you to kill all the color then press ctrl J ctrl I

to invert it here you don't have to change blending options I mean here you

see it's normal you just just go to image adjustment color balance and make

it little red here shadows oh and a little red highlights highlights make it

a little like that okay then you just go to layer go to layers and switch on that

How to Make Pie Crust - Duration: 4:27.

Hey everybody Sam here from Sugar Spun Run and today I'm going to be showing you how to make my favorite

Easy pie crust recipe. If you are still buying store-bought

premade pie crust or if you are yet to find a pie crust recipe that is foolproof for you,

Then today's recipe is just for you. Today

I am sharing my all-time favorite pie crust recipe. This recipe has been in my family for decades.

My mom has been using it forever and I'm so excited to be sharing it with you today.

We are going to be using a food processor for today's recipe.

That is going to take out most of the work required in making this pie crust and is going to make things nice and easy. So

please grab your food processor and let's begin. The first ingredient you will need is one cup of all-purpose flour.

Now if you're not familiar with using cup measurements, maybe if you're not from America or if you prefer to use weights,

I do have all metric measurements for each ingredient included in the printable recipe. You can grab that in the description below.

Now the next thing you're going to need is two teaspoons of granulated sugar.

If you're making a savory pie crust,

like maybe for a chicken pot pie you can omit the sugar but it's a pretty subtle bit of sweetness.

So if you include it anyway, it's not going to really make a huge difference.

Next we'll add a quarter teaspoon of salt.

And we'll put our lid on our food processor and we're just going to pulse our dry ingredients until they're combined.

The next thing you'll need is six tablespoons of unsalted butter.

Now for this pie crust recipe you are going to want to use very cold butter.

I like to stick mine in the freezer a couple minutes before I begin making my pie crust.

That way it's nice and cold when I'm ready to use it.

You'll want to cut this into about ten small pieces and we'll just drop these evenly over our dry ingredients.

Now we will pulse this mixture again until coarse crumbs form.

This looks pretty good. And so now we will need our secret ingredient for the best,

most perfect pie crust I've ever had; sour cream.

Today's recipe uses a quarter cup of sour cream and we'll just add this into the canister of our food processor.

We're going to blend everything together until our mixture begins to clump together.

Okay, this looks pretty good. At this point our pie crust dough is basically done.

What we'll do now is we'll transfer it to our refrigerator,

but first remove the blade from your food processor and we'll just transfer our dough onto a piece of wax paper.

Use your hands to just gently work the dough into a disk shape, and because it's a little sticky at this point,

I'm going to use the wax paper to help me. Do that by covering it and I'm just gonna flatten it so that it's

flatter rather than rounder. You don't want a pie crust ball. You want a disc.

Now we will transfer this pie crust to our refrigerator where we will chill it for at least 30 minutes.

Once your pie dough has chilled for at least 30 minutes, now it is ready to roll out.

You'll want to transfer your pie dough disc to a lightly floured,

clean surface. Sprinkle just a little bit of additional flour on top and feel free to add more flour as needed.

Now this pie crust recipe will fit a nine or a ten inch pan.

So we are going to roll this out to about a 12 inch circle, that way we have enough dough to cover the sides.

Now I'm just going to transfer this to my pie plate.

I always roll my pie crust a little bit larger than I need to so that I can trim up the edges

so they look nice and neat.

You can decorate this pie crust any way you'd like. You can even make a double batch so that you have a bottom and a

top pie crust layer. I am just going to go ahead and add a little decoration to the side so it looks nice.

Now your pie crust is finished, or at least it's prepared.

If you need to blind bake this pie crust, that is cook it without any filling in it,

I do have instructions on how to do that on my printable recipe. You can check that out in the description.

Otherwise, just fill it with whatever pie fillings you were planning on using or that your recipe calls for and bake it according to your recipe's instructions.

I hope you guys enjoyed this super easy pie crust recipe. If you try it out, please let me know what you think.

I think you're going to love how easy it is, and what a buttery flaky pie crust it yields.

Thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you next time.

How to create a sticker cut line in Illustrator - Duration: 5:20.

Hayden here with Sticker Mule

and today I'm gonna show you how to add cut lines

to your sticker designs in Adobe Illustrator.

A cut line is a path that gets placed around your design

to tell us exactly how you want it to be cut.

Ever notice the white border around many stickers?

That's what a cut line creates.

Now when printing with Sticker Mule,

our team will automatically figure out the cut lines for you

based on your design.

This covers anything from simple sticker shapes

such as squares, circles and, ovals,

to complex and unique designs

such as we're gonna work with in the tutorial today.

So, if you don't want to set up the cut lines yourself,

you don't have to,

but for those of you who want to design them yourself,

or understand how we do it, lets jump in.

Once we've opened our design in Illustrator

we'll want to make sure the sticker is set up

properly for printing.

For this design, that means making sure that

all of these strokes have been outlined.

A good way to check this is by using the Outline View.

By doing that I can see that there are

two here that I've missed.

All you need to do to turn your strokes into shapes

is to select it, and then go to "object", "path"

and "outline stroke".

As we can see from the outline view

those strokes are now shapes.

If your design has text, you also need to outline the text

by right-clicking it and pressing "create outlines".

Now, onto setting up the cut line.

While holding "alt" on a PC or "option" if you're on a Mac

drag the layer that your artwork is on

on top of itself.

This duplicate layer is where we're going to

set up our cut line.

So you can lock the one beneath.

For organization's sake, let's call this layer "cut line".

Now this is considering that you're working with

a vector image.

If you're working with a raster image,

such as a JPEG, PNG or GIF, we will need to use

the "Image Trace" panel to convert the artwork

in our cut line layer to vector.

Depending on your design, the options you should use

for image trace will differ.

Don't worry about colors,

or the fine details when doing this,

all you need to do is make sure

that the perimeter of the shape

matches your original design.

The default black and white mode

seems to do a good job for my design.

Press "expand" when you're happy with the preview

and, you'll have a vector shape.

"Image Trace" will often add a bounding box to your design

so, be sure to un-group it from your new shape

and delete it.

Now, whether you began with a vector or a raster

we continue the same.

Select everything in the cut line layer

and use the pathfinder window

to unite it into a single shape.

Then, go to "object", "path", "offset path".

The offset is how large you would like

the border around your design to be.

By clicking preview, this will allow us

to get a sense of what that width is.

When printing with Sticker Mule,

remember that there is a minimum border requirement

of 1/16th of an inch.

When you're happy, press "OK".

Once we've offset our path

let's select everything in the cut line layer

and, use "unite" once again to make it into a single shape.

Depending on your design, you may have a hole in your shape.

You can either use the "Direct Selection" tool

to delete it

or if the hole is larger than

a quarter inch in diameter

and, you would like to keep it,

you can do so.

When printing with Sticker Mule,

we allow one internal cut for each sticker

or magnet design.

For this design, I will remove the hole

by selecting a single anchor point

and then pressing the "delete" key twice.

Now, we'll remove the fill from our shape

and instead, give it a one-point stroke.

This is typically what print shops use for cut lines.

It is possible that after using "offset path"

you have two shapes that are not touching.

All you will need to do in this scenario

is bridge them together by creating a new joining shape.

For this design, I will do this by drawing up

the desired shape with the "pen" tool

and then, uniting it with the existing shapes.

We can also see that there are a lot of

undesired holes in this design.

Once again, I will just use the "Direct Selection" tool

to remove them.

If you're like me, you may at this point notice

some areas of your cut line that you would like to clean up.

Knowing that this is how your sticker will be printed,

go ahead and make those changes.

(calm music)

When you're done,

save your Illustrator file, and you're finished.

You can upload your file as is

when ordering from Sticker Mule

and, within a few hours you'll receive a proof

showing you exactly what your sticker

is going to look like once printed.

And, there you have it,

everything you need to know

about adding cut lines to your sticker designs.

If you have any questions let us know in the comments.

And, if you liked the video,

be sure to give it a thumbs-up

and subscribe to stay up-to-date on future tutorials.

Happy designing.
