Youtube daily car Jul 5 2017

Good morning!

To me, the day hasn't finished since the last episode

cause I'm still editing video

But I wanted to talk about something that shocks me a lot

Cause it's summer in Minnesota and this is so up north

We're right next to Canada

Say if I drive upnorth for 5 minutes,

i'd be in Canada

It's 4.30 AM and the sun's been coming out

for half an hour. Sunrise it's at 4 and sunset at 9.30

So there's no night, almost

We're so upnorth that it starts behaving like Alaska

Like when there's no night in the summer

It's crazy

Now for real, good morning

We're still trying to finish-Wow, I almost fell

We're still trying to finish the pedalboard, look

I covered every brand so now it looks cleaner and nice

And I also covered every port and I only wrote on the ones we actually use

Like this one, has... 16 channels, we only use 3

Now we need to drive our car til Kat's parents place

And clean it there, that car is pretty dirty

Kat's parents are pretty clean, but in the time we weren't

in America they lent it to someone else and he wasn't very clean

So when we got in we found a mousetrap...

That worked.

-We have to empty the mousetrap -[Shouting in spanish]

What's wrong with that?

-I was not ready for that

How's that going?

-[Surprised] Ah, f... you! -I'm sorry!

I didn't know!

You told me to come!

Ok, I know there's a long way to go

And it's still pretty gross, but it's a lot better

Even though I know I'm not going to drive it and it went through a lot of people,

In theory it's my first car

That is exciting

I don't know how long we've been doing this

But we've been taking turns cause we need to work on stuff from the tour

So one of us goes inside, to the computer

To do that, and the other works on cleaning the car

Afterwards I have to put the back seats back in there

But the important thing is, that these doors are going to be as if they were

Our trunk, we're not going to put these seats back

We're going to put a rug so these don't bother us

And put the back seats in just in case friends come

Or if we have to give someone a ride

I was going to go fishing with Kat's parents

While Kat stayed to work on some videos

But I didn't feel very comfortable doing that

Even though the two of us have worked a lot on cleaning the van,

I felt like I could do a little more,

I felt like I could lift some of the weight off her shoulders

Something I learned in the last couple years

From traveling a lot and especially from traveling a lot with another person

Is, you don't always have to do just your part

When you do 60% of the work, you'll better the other person's day

Or maybe 100% of the work

Luckily I'm in a relationship and in a band

With someone who thinks the same

So every once in awhile, I have days where I don't do anything

And every once in awhile she has days where she doesn't do anything

Because both of us take care of filling each other's potholes

Without grumbling, without saying, "Hey, you didn't do such and such a thing"

So now I'm starting to clean a little more

And finish up the van

Without her knowing and after I'll go over to the other house

And set up the pedalboard and finish that,

Without her knowing

So she can relax a little more

I started cleaning the exterior of the car because I said to myself "It's not going to take that long"

And I cleaned it all, it turned out impeccable

I just said goodbye to Kat's parents

Because we're not going to see each other because tomorrow we're starting the tour

We're going to Duluth for a couple days

But we are coming back in 4 days

We have a couple shows here and after I think we leave for the real tour

The really long one

But it's good to have these first shows kind of spread out

So we see what we like and what we don't about the live show

The rest of the tour is going to be like,

A lot more concentrated

Good morning

I have to say that I like this van a lot more

I mean yeah, the back door doesn't work

But this one, well it's not registered under either of our names

It's technically still belongs to Kat's parents

But yesterday they said that instead of selling it

They said that they'd give it to us

We just had to pay for the things that had to be fixed

But still, the price of the van itself was a third

Of the total cost with fixing it

So it's not a ton of money but it's a really nice gesture

Alright now we're on our way

To the music store

Because I cancelled the short cables that we needed

For the pedalboard, the platform we made

I cancelled the Amazon order because they wouldn't have arrived in time

And we're going to go buy some in person somewhere around here

In case you don't remember or I didn't say it before,

We're in Duluth

Before we leave to go buy the cables we stopped to eat something

And I apologize if this is the grossest thing you've seen all year

But everyone in Kat's family are fishermen

So they always have fish

So every time we leave the house

They give us a jar of it or some fish milanesas, well not milanesas but like breaded fish

They gave us a jar of fish

I'm sorry if this grosses anyone out but it's delicious

so we put it on everything

The thing is we didn't bring a cooler this time

So we have to eat it all today

I miss last year's vlogs

When we used to come to radio stations

I could ride around in the parking lot

All the universities have huge parking lots

So it's really nice for riding a longboard

I miss having a longboard

I feel like to make up for it, at the end of the tour I'll buy

A Boosted Board which is like a motorized longboard

And more than anything because... Upa! I didn't tell you this

I think this is the first time I'm going to tell you this

I'm returning to Argentina in November

And Kat's not returning

I think she's going to go back in February

Because she wants to spend the holidays with her family because she hasn't in the last 3 years

And she wants to stay in the US for a little bit

So I'm returning along to Buenos Aires for a little bit

Then along to Corrientes

I don't know yet if I'm going to tour during that time, like on the coast or something like that

The time I did Mar del Plata and Uruguay was really fun when I toured the coast

But I don't know, we'll see

The thing is I'm going to go back to Buenos Aires alone and it's going to be the first time we're apart

For 4 months

Since living together,

I think the longest time we were apart was 3 days

And aside from that one time I think it's been like... 6 hours

It's not tiring and it's not boring

It's... it's the best

We never really thought about it

Well we know it's going to happen but we're a little bit in denial about it

"Nah, we'll be fine, we'll be fine"

And we didn't analyze it much because it's going to be really weird

At the least, weird

-[Radio host] And we have Axtell in the studio

They're traveling the North Shore here touring with their new EP 'Traveler'

They're playing tonight in Dublin and then on Saturday night at the Red Herring Lounge

All part of their US tour and we want to welcome them to the studio,

Welcome!

-Thank you so much, thank you for having us!

- I go back to Corrientes

and now finally people know my music

But like a few years ago I would come back and people were like "Oh, you left?"

Cause when you start out it's either "Oh, so nice that you do music"

And then they don't care any more, and then when they like it they care again

So, I was going through that phase of they don't care for this moment

And now they like it so it's cool, but with Katrina, she started music in

Argentina, so they never had that not caring phase

It was always like "You like music!"

"It happens to be good!" So that's fun

I had to go through the, through the age of like my music being awful

The interview was really good, Kat left before me to make sure

They don't give us a ticket

We were 5 minutes over the hour we could stay here because we had no coins left

And when she arrived he was writing a ticket

For another car, so we dodged a bullet

To pass time and because we didn't bring enough clothes

We're going to Goodwill which is one of our favorite places because

It's kind of like an American market or thrift show

Where you can buy clothes by weight, like by the pound or by the kilo

I just found these, and in case you don't know

I break and lose sunglasses all the time

So I don't allow myself to buy sunglasses

That cost more than 100 pesos [7 US Dollars]. These are 6 dollars,

90 pesos, It's always like a tradition we do

In all our tours, buying as many pairs of sunglasses that we can

They're all really cheap and they're great

I understand that Raybans are really good quality and last a long time

But they're not worth the 1000 or so pesos

For something that I'm just going to lose at the beach

I firmly believe that with the quantity of clothes we bought we could have come to Duluth without clothes

-It's not funny

-It's super funny

The other...

The other bad thing about this van is the window by the driver's seat doesn't go down

Which is really bad when we have to pay tolls

Like in this parking garage

But the thing is that I also cleaned the window yesterday

To the point that Kat did this when she saw the thing

-Shut up... -It was way too funny

Because it was unexpected, she was like a confused puppy that was like "wh...

Why?"

We're about to meet up with some of Kat's cousins or friends, I don't remember

Before the show, we have a show tonight in case I didn't make that clear

Here's where we're playing tonight

[Murmuring]... Axtell

When we play in a city

Or in a bar where no one knows us

Like in half of the cities that the play in the US

What we do it, before performing on the stage

We go to another part of the bar if there's more people there

And play an acoustic song like something really impressive

That gets their attention

So everyone is filming

And as soon as we finish the song, before the applause, say:

"We're playing now in 2 minutes, over on the stage!'

It always worked

The show's going to start in a little bit

There's very few people, but it really doesn't bother me, it's one of the first shows of the tour

And it's in a city where almost no one knows us

So... it's okay

[Playing Si Es Con Vos]

I can't say that it was a bad show because it was... pretty interesting

I can't say it was an excellent show because it was a weird show

I didn't like 80% of the show but it wasn't really anyone's fault, Oh, I don't think so

Part of it was our fault, but I think it was more our fault than anyone else's

No because of how we played, but rather that we booked this place

And there's nothing wrong with the place except that it's just not our scene

Irish bars are really fun, but they're really sportsy

So the people usually aren't in the mood to listen to music

They come to have a drink or something and leave

So it was tricky to get to the people

At the end, we did something interesting and cool, we disconnected the instruments and went

To the center of the room and did things that got everyone's attention

And at the end there were people telling us they couldn't believe what they were hearing

And those kind of things are when you realize

That someone really enjoys it, and they buy both CDs

Or a tshirt, things like that show

That it's worth it, even if it's a show that, based on the venue

Seems like it will be bad

We just got back from the show, we're at Kat's sister's house

I'm so dead

I don't know why I kept up the episode to this point --Cody stop it

[Shushing] Chau chau

Ok Cody, move over

Move over dog, you're full of hair, stop

Remember The Housing Bubble Of 2008? Meet The Car Loan Bubble Of 2017 - Duration: 5:40.

After nearly a decade of being able to borrow money for next to nothing, interest rates

are finally beginning to creep higher.

Even the relatively small increases seen so far have caused problems in the previously

booming automobile industry.

The size of the auto loan market has ballooned to a historic 1.1 trillion dollars, and subprime

lending has once again become the norm.

Teaser offers that allow people to get cars with zero money down and 84-month financing

have fueled a wave of irresponsible spending.

Americans' tendency to associate success with having nice things has driven many people

who can't afford to buy a house to get the next best thing — a brand new car.

The data released so far in 2017, however, has started to raise questions about how much

longer these spending habits can last.

There has been a significant drop in new car sales and a sharp increase in the delinquency

rates of subprime borrowers.

Inventories across the country have started to build up, and if things don't turn around

soon, the excess cars sitting on lots will eventually force prices lower.

According to analysts at Morgan Stanley, price declines will also impact the used car market,

and some predictions are calling for up to a 50% decline by 2021.

Millions of borrowers who bought cars on credit could see the value of their vehicles plummet

yet still have to pay off their full loan amount.

It's similar to 2008 when the mortgage market collapsed and plunged home prices across the

country dramatically lower.

Property values fell so much that people suddenly owed more on their homes than they were worth.

Those homeowners then had to make the decision of whether to wait it out and keep paying

their inflated mortgage rates or cut their losses and sell.

Cars, on the other hand, have never been an investment, and this kind of situation in

the auto industry would likely trigger an avalanche of private sales as people try to

get out from under their debts.

Fitch Ratings Inc. talked about these recent developments in their latest report:

Fitch expects that deteriorating credit performance will be more acute in the subprime segment,

driven to some extent by the expansion of less-tenured independent auto finance companies

that have demonstrated higher-risk appetites and less underwriting discipline…NADA's

Used Vehicle Price Index, which measures wholesale prices of used vehicles up to eight years

old, declined over 6% in 2016 and was down 8% year over year through February 2017, marking

the eighth consecutive monthly decline.

Used vehicle prices were down 1.6% sequentially in February, reflecting the sharpest monthly

decline for the index since November 2008 and a seasonal anomaly for February.

Wells Fargo is one of the largest holders of subprime auto debt and recently took steps

to limit their exposure when investors started to recognize the possible downside.

It has even been reported that many of these loans were given out to buyers who had no

credit score at all.

The risks aren't limited to just lenders and borrowers but also extend to institutional

investors.

Thousands of these high-risk car loans have been bundled together into products similar

to the mortgage-backed securities that undermined financial stability in 2008.

Investment fund managers have bought billions of dollars worth of this securitized debt

while trying to maximize returns in this low-interest rate environment.

Even though this bubble, on its own, isn't enough to destabilize the economy, the additional

problems with student loans and record high rental costs have had a devastating impact

on the net worth of most working Americans.

The real reason these loose lending standards have reemerged in the auto sector is to prop

up the system through consumerism.

The trade-off has been a lack of any substantial savings by the average person.

Instead of planning for their futures, people have financed overpriced cars for six or seven

years while still having to make monthly payments on a student loan.

This next generation isn't going to have the extra money needed to afford a home, build

an investment portfolio, or start a business.

Instead, they're setting themselves up to work for years trying to get out from under

the stress that comes from accepting debt enslavement.

As time goes on, more and more weaknesses in the economy will reveal themselves.

Whether it's the collapse of the retail market, uncertainty in the Eurozone, or the

automation of low-skilled workers, something will eventually cause public confidence to

break.

The auto loan market is a microcosm of the systemic imbalances that have become normal

since the Federal Reserve and U.S. government bailed out the system in 2008.

Despite this clear manipulation, individuals who accumulated massive debts are still responsible

for their actions, but the rampant lack of economic knowledge has led millions of people

into a life in quicksand.

switch2english - CAR OR CAA - Duration: 6:09.

Hello everybody welcome back it's Krystian here and I just need some timer this video

will be like 5 minutes long and I don't know I will be doing this because this

like some basically taking a piss from Arlena Wit and a I actually wanna roast

Her on the other channel which I'm roasting the people but I just think

instead of roasting I will do some value stuff it's I think much more better so

basically today I just give you the example of one word witch will be the word car

how to pronounce that that's good about the pronunciation I just have to

take keep time 32 right now so like I will try to do this in

like three min maybe five longer ish so basically what I do I will put the

subtitles when I'm talking so basically you can pick up the actually what I'm

talking and buy pause the video and basically translate the stuff I think

it's much more important when the person talking in English to to pick up the

English instead of talking 15 minutes in Polish about some world because you're

not gonna pick up anything from it so basically if you want to impress I know

the teacher when you're reading something maybe in the next video I will

show you how to do this how to do the basically the correct pronunciation we

see that will be British accent with that what I will show you but if you

really want to in American accent we can carry on with America but I just will

show you from my point of view of how I see it

pretty much so the world car in we are a Polish society Polish people we are

putting the accent or own letter R and we are pronunciation

like RRR so basically our tongue is like like that and the British accent is

like you putting their tongue just like a flat - okay so I don't have to show

you but it's supposed to pick up what I try to say so basically we are our lives

we had like a polish alphabet so it's really

had to skip that letter R so that's the most important part when

you're reading something and then when you're reading correctly obviously

you're picking up the accent so today we're just talking about the letter R so

we goes like car and basically if you want to say like properly you're

skipping letter R on the end and basically you just pronunciation CAAAAA

you not puting letter R so in between the words always have to keep that in mind

you have to speak the first letter R on the beginning but in the middle in

between or on the end you are skipping this basically because the other other

letter just basically making this accent when you skiping that I will post a

short video afterwards how to pronounce from one of the sentence from the

I've seen it on the Google Wikipedia and know how to pronounce you see I'm not fluent

or anything but well I think it's fluent enough to understand me when I'm talking

and it's much more value if you actually watching some content who

talking in English to you guys it's not such thing like you will be listening 15

minutes to the video in Polish and then you will get some value from one word

talking in Polish 15 minutes so how you're supposed to learn

English and so tell me tell me but I don't get it I didn't get that I don't

get hi I'm Arlena Wit I'm learning 3 years English and if you in my channel

that's probably good because you want to change your your life to have a better

English WTF in order to change your you know English you have to pick

up that English from some source so from source from whatever Jesus that's realy

That's what i said I don't rly wanna talk much cuz I think that short

video will be the best ideally would be the best option so basically if you want

to say the words car and we the next video I will show you how to actually

read the staff in the if you like it I can put somebody hard

words like unavailable how to say or whatever because they realy short words

already basics and they don't have a syllable at all so it's like you know

retard can say that but anyway this is the first word and then the second

video I will show you how to actually read properly it's one sentence and then I

might carry on if you like it this is like some beta testing I don't

really want to do this because I like i don't think so it's important but

regardless of that yeah we're just talking about the world card for the

most of the people in Poland will be saying car i driving i driving a car or

driving a car I'm driving a car at the moment I'm driving a car at the moment

I'm driviNN a CAA at the moment mate so you just basically skipping you dont' say dring you saying driviNNN

driving you driviNN in basically you know same car same car I'm driving a CA

yeah this is your CA yes this is my CA You wanna see my CA yeah I wanna see You open the DOO from this CA maybe

you open the do from this ca maybe

ya ya I'd like to open the DOO

from this CAAA

wanna see it inside your CA and you not really you know you pick up right now

yeah you picked up because I'm talking in English I'm not talking Polish

okey-dokey thank you very much guys for watching if you like the concept the

idea behind this me to doing sometimes ocasionally the videos like that I

might do that if you don't like it don't hesitate to say like it's bad idea or

whatever dislike I don't mind okie-dokie thank you guys for watching and see you

guys in the next video and we'll do like it maybe three or four videos that kind

because I just think in that might be good but might be not okay

Tucci Hot Rods: 3D printing final custom car parts - Ultimaker: 3D Printing Story - Duration: 2:55.

A lot of the stuff that we build is custom, so we need to make it from scratch

With the Ultimaker, we've been able to triple the speed of making parts and cut the costs by ten times

You think of 3D printing at first as just a prototyping tool, but it's an end-use process for us

My name is Dom Tucci, I'm a designer at Tucci Hot Rods

We're in the custom car building field. Custom car building starts out with hot rodding

Hot rodding used to be a thing where people would modify their cars to make them faster or lower

or drag race quicker

Custom car building comes in where people want professionals to do it

The Ford Project Vehicle Program is a thing for the SEMA show in Las Vegas

It's the biggest aftermarket car parts show in the world

You basically send in a proposal and the overall theme of the car

The guy who was running the Project Vehicle Program called us back and said:

"I got a Fiesta, if you want to do it"

and we said "Yeah, we're definitely going to do it!"

We got the Ultimaker in during the Fiesta project

I opened up the box, put it on my desk, ran one test print and started printing out parts for the car

I probably printed around 30 or 40 things with the Ultimaker, throughout the whole process

Whether that was little mock-up pieces or final pieces

We did the headlights, the fender vents, the hood vents, the dash piece

the upper pieces that cap off the top of the dash

We did the rear taillight section

Anything that I can think of to try and print, I printed

To be able to make these pieces, we would've had to CNC them out of a block of ABS or some sort of plastic

The time on that, we'd have to figure out fixturing

and send it to a machine shop that would be able to do it, they'd have to fit it in their schedule

To have the printer and to be able to print out multiples of it and then use it as the end-use product

has been so great for us

Most of these cars take six months to a year

and to get it down into just 2 months - we were pretty happy about that

The Ultimaker is pretty much a staple tool in the show now

and we're going to use it any way possible on every future car that we work on
