Prince Harry Opens Up About Mental Health Struggles in Invictus Games Speech: 'I've Been There' - Duration: 6:11.

 As someone who experienced deep grief at a young age, Prince Harry knows about the importance of mental health

 The Duke of Sussex, 34, spoke candidly about his experience to a crowd of thousands gathered at the Invictus Games' closing ceremony on Saturday in Sydney, Australia

Harry, a veteran who served in Afghanistan, founded the Paralympics-style competition four years ago to honor veterans and wounded service members around the world

 The dad-to-be started his speech by commending the athletes for their "example of determination, of optimism, of strength, honor and friendship, or as the Aussies call it, mateship," describing it as "a core value that has the power to inspire

"  He then emphasized what their stories mean to people who've never gone to battle but may be fighting their own intense struggles

 "In a world where negativity is given too much of a platform, our Invictus competitors — many of whom have been given a second chance at life — are achieving extraordinary things," he said

 "They get called heroes. They're tagged as legends. They're referred to as super-humans

Now, of course, all those things are true! Right? Well, I believe, that the real power of their example is that they are not superheroes

Sorry to break it to you guys!" he joked.  "What they are achieving isn't impossible nor is it magical," Harry continued

"You have seen it happen before your very eyes because these competitors have made it happen

They are men and women who have confronted a challenge and overcome it. They are ordinary people doing extraordinary things…  That is something we can all aspire to

"  Then the prince started to get emotional.  "Nowhere is that truer than in the area of mental health," he insisted

"By simply being here and fighting back from some of the darkest experiences known to anyone, you have become role models for everyone at home or in the stands who might be struggling with their emotions or with a mental illness… You are showing it's okay not to be okay

And most importantly, you are showing us all that it's okay to ask for help."  To conclude, he referred to himself as someone who has faced such challenges

 "I've been there, you've been there, and we now need to reach out to those who can never even imagine themselves in that place," he encouraged

"When you accept a challenge is real, you can have hope. When you understand your vulnerability, you can become strong

When you are brave enough to ask for help, you can be lifted up. You can start living, doing, feeling — not simply surviving

"  Harry previously shared that he dealt with grief following the death of his mother, Princess Diana

 "I can safely say that losing my mom at the age of 12, and therefore shutting down all of my emotions for the last 20 years, has had a quite serious effect on not only my personal life but my work as well," he told The Telegraph

"It was 20 years of not thinking about it, and two years of total chaos."  Harry's wife, 37-year-old Meghan Markle, shared a similar message with attendees in her surprise speech, in addition to expressing her awe about her husband's efforts to create an inspiring event

 "It's such an honor to be here tonight with all of you and supporting my husband at the Invictus Games, which he founded four years ago," she began

"In a short span of time, the games have evolved into an international platform of some of the best athletics and sportsmanship you could ever witness

"  Then she recounted how moved she was by one veteran who excitedly gave Harry and her a hug last week

 "The Novak family from Chicago is a prime example of this very thing," Meghan said

"When their son Ryan suffered a severe injury leaving him paralyzed from the waist down, doctors said he would never be able to walk again

But after speaking to his mom, Karri, it was clear that it was through Ryan's strength of spirit, and with the unwavering support of his parents, that he was able to prove all of those doctors wrong

Exxon Sued Again For Climate Change Cover Up - Duration: 4:13.

New York Attorney General, Barbara Underwood, has filed a lawsuit against ExxonMobil on

behalf of shareholders for the company.

Over the fact that Exxon knew about the dangers of climate change, hid those dangers not just

from the American public, but from their shareholders.

This is a form of fraud and now Exxon is being sued for misleading investors about the company's

liability in terms of climate change and environmental damage.

Now, what's interesting about this lawsuit is that recently other lawsuits against Exxon

where thrown out.

Those were brought by cities and states against the company and other oil companies, over

their role in sea level rise and other forms of climate change that these cities and states

are now on the hook to have to pay for.

They wanted the oil companies to come in and pay their fair share for actually contributing

to this problem.

Those lawsuits were tossed out.

And, at the time, Mike Papantonio and I did segments about it, talking about why those

lawsuits failed, and Mike Papantonio specifically said, "The only way you're gonna be successful

at this point is to bring a shareholder derivatives lawsuit against ExxonMobil or any of these

other oil companies."

And, that is exactly what New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood is doing today.

It's almost like she listed to Pap and said, "That is the best course of action.

We're going to do that."

Now, of course, the New York Attorney General's office has actually been looking into this

issue for three years now.

And finally got enough information to be able to in their idea, what they're hoping to be

able to show that Exxon did hide this information from their shareholders, they lied about how

many costs the company was going to incur as a result of this, and therefore, people

invested their money into the company thinking it was a good investment, thinking the liabilities

were much lower than they actually were.

They were duped into investing and they are entitled to some kind of compensation for

this.

Because now as investors, they stand to lose a lot of money because Exxon lied.

What strikes me as sad about this story, and yes this is a legit case the shareholders

have, the investors have, absolutely, and I hope they're successful.

But what bugs the hell out of me, is that the only time we're able to get justice against

any corporation in the United States, is when they screw over wealthy people.

It is not just with Exxon.

We've seen in with Martin Shkreli, that was his thing.

He didn't go to jail for price gouging consumers, he went to jail for ripping off rich people.

Bernie Madoff didn't go to jail 'cause he was scamming mom and pop investors like major

Wall Street banks, he was scamming rich people.

And, now Exxon is facing the same kind of consequences.

They destroyed the planet, they lied about it, covered it up, funded misinformation for

decades, but now finally they're getting popped for it, but not because of the coverup, because

they covered it up from wealthy Americans.

The only way to get justice in this country is if you're an already wealthy individual.

Because at that point, you can hold anyone accountable.

Because God forbid something bad happened to the wealthy elite here in the United States.

Meanwhile, these low-lying cities, islands, coastal communities, are at risk of being

underwater in the next 50 years, because of what Exxon did.

Where's the remedy for these people?

Where's their compensation?

Where's the lawsuits for that?

Oh yeah, they got thrown out.

And that is sad.

But at least at this point, if this lawsuit by Barbara Underwood is successful, it will

force Exxon and send a message to other oil companies that they no longer can lie about

the dangers of climate change, they have to be open and upfront about it.

And, if they engage in any additional coverups, they're gonna get popped even more in the

future.

FL Democrats Plan 'Trump Chicken' Stunt, Ends Up Backfiring - Duration: 3:19.

If you haven't had a particularly good week, you can at least thank the deity of your choice

that you aren't Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.

The Tallahassee mayor and Democratic nominee was revealed to be in the crosshairs of an

FBI corruption sting, which he alternatively blamed on his family and/or racism, depending

on who he was talking to.

The allegation came in the same week that he was to appear in a debate with his Republican

opponent, former U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis.

Thankfully for Gillum, the Democrats had his back.

They might not have had great arguments to counter the corruption charges, mind you ("That's

racism!" only goes so far in today's political environs, particularly given the fact that

it's been used with such frequency).

They may not have had the political winds at their back.

But they had an inflatable chicken with a visage like President Donald Trump's, and

that was going to make all the difference.

If only they had permission to display it.

Or even knew where to display it.

First, the chicken.

Here's the fowl that they thought was going to be a rebuke to the president — who wasn't

at the debate on Wednesday, of course, but that didn't stop anybody.

I'm not even sure what it's even supposed to represent, except that DeSantis received

the president's endorsement, but um — take that, Drumpf.

If anyone saw it, however, it was only on Twitter — and nobody from the Democrats

was around at the candidates' debate to "call out DeSantis' healthcare record."

According to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, the chicken "had barely been inflated when

police arrived to tell the Democrats they were on the wrong property — the Nova Southeastern

University campus across the street (from debate venue Broward College) — and the

chicken had to come down."

"We should have asked permission," Florida Democrat spokesman Kevin Donohoe said in what

might have been the understatement of the week.

Thankfully for the Democrats, whatever money they dropped at Krazee Karl's House of Used

Car Lot Inflatable Figures won't entirely be a sunk cost.

"It's starting today and it will follow him around until Election Day," Donohoe

said.

"A sign accompanying the chicken shows a picture of DeSantis with a red rooster comb

atop his head with President Trump," the Sun-Sentinel reported.

"It says: 'Ron DeSantis is too chicken to stand up for your health care.'"

That's the punchline?

Really?

Obviously, they didn't think the inflatable Trump chicken through.

Not only is it patently ridiculous, it'll remind voters that Trump is not only creating

new jobs but new categories of jobs: Yes, even an inflatable chicken couldn't

change Andrew Gillum's terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad week.

Point and match, GOP.
