It was the LONGEST game in World Series history.

After 18 innings, and clocking in at seven-hours and 20 minutes,... the LA Dodgers finally

beat the Boston Red Sox 3-2... in Game 3.

At the end of the 18th inning at Dodgers Stadium, Max Muncy ended the two-day game with a walk-off

homer to seal the victory and close the gap in the seven game series to 2-1 in the Red

Sox's favor.

The game smashed the previous longest World Series records of 14 innings in 2015, 2005

and 1916.

Game 3 went into the extra innings after it ended tied 1-1 at the end of the 9th inning.

Game 4 will take place on Saturday at around 5 p.m. local time.

Apu El personaje simplemente desaparecerá de la serie.  Como muchos recordarán, a finales de 2017 se levantó una polémica alrededor del personaje de Apu en Los Simpson; el documental The Problem with Apu, exponía que el amistoso dueño del minisúper era un estereotipo racial negativo para todos los hindúes, sobretodo para aquellos que migraron o eran descendientes de migrantes en Estados Unidos

 El principal argumento era que el esposo de Manjula se mantenía en una mediocridad, al tener un doctorado en ingeniería y ser simplemente el dueño de una tienda de conveniencia sin intención de aspirar a más; asimismo, su aspecto físico y forma de expresarse no era la adecuada

 Después de todo esto, y de que el canal Fox emitiera una especie de respuesta en uno de los capítulos de la serie animada; se ha decidido eliminar al personaje

 Esto lo dio a conocer Adi Shankar, productor de televisión conocido por traer la serie de Castlevania, quien reveló que varias personas cercanas a la producción de Los Simpson, así como cercanos a Matt Groening, le mencionaron que ese sería el destino de Apu

 El plan es simplemente que deje de aparecer, sin mayor aspavientos, nada de muertes o alguna clase de despedida; de un momento a otro, el hindú dejará de ser una persona importante en la ciudad de Springfield

 Fox no ha emitido una declaración al respecto; cuando el medio IndieWire, quienes entrevistaron a Shankar por el tema, trató de ponerse en contacto con el canal, este se limitó a decir que Apu aparece en uno de los recientes episodios, "Highway to Heaven"; no obstante, se ha hecho notar que sólo se muestra en un collage de personajes, no como alguien relevante

 Shankar concluyó que este es un movimiento cobarde por parte de los responsables del longevo show; pues no se toma una posición como tal ante la problemática, simplemente se están haciendo a un lado

 Él por su parte hará un capítulo especial de Los Simpson centrado en Apu, con un guión especial que le fue proporcionado mediante una campaña donde le pedía a los fans que escribieran una historia que dignificará al amigo de Homero
