December: Leaders' Christmas Devo | Life Without Limbs - Duration: 0:57.To all the leaders out there, it's Nick here.
I love you, Merry Christmas!
Have a wonderful time with your family and closest to you, around you.
May God give you all the strength that you need.
May you be refreshed.
May God even use you in very cool ways and unique ways with maybe family members
that you hardly see during the year, but you're gonna be seeing them in Christmas,
and you're gonna be sitting opposite of the table.
And maybe ask God for that extra awesome portion of grace
that He would give you wisdom with maybe planting a seed,
sharing about the true meaning of Christmas, if they don't know what it's all about.
May God use you this Christmas.
May God fill you, refresh you, and give you peace
as we celebrate the real reason for this season.
God bless you all!

What influences my personal style. - Duration: 3:38.My name is Daria Andronescu.
I am the creator and owner of the Wonder Wardrobe online course.
The video course teaches women how to
manage the clothes they have and the clothes they want to buy,
so that they can save money and reduce fashion related waste.
My personal style evolved over the years,
but today I would describe it as mostly casual.
I love to feel free in my clothes,
so I usually go for something that has a loose and slightly oversized shape.
I would also say that my style is playful and edgy.
I like to wear clothes that have something special about them.
It can be a special color or print.
My mother is a professional seamstress and
she used to make clothes for me when I was a child.
We would discuss the design and than go and pick fabrics together.
I was always wearing something well made and unique
and it definitely influenced the way I choose my clothes today.
I always pay attention to the details,
how the clothes are made, what fabrics they are made out of.
I am very particular when it comes to quality.
I don't want to invest my money in things that will only last me a few wears.
I'd rather have a small wardrobe full of beautiful and well-made clothes
than a walk-in closet filled with impulse purchased items
or who knows what.
I think having a personal style means
you're smart enough to know what makes you look good,
what you wear feels comfortable
and it lets you be yourself.
At least these principles are what I am teaching in my online course
and what I live by.
We have so much fashion noise and so many options on the market
that it can easily be confusing and distracting.
It's important to be able to filter that noise,
to stay true to yourself and to your taste
in order to be in harmony with what you're wearing.
That's why I am not interested in fashion trends anymore,
I don't want to wear what everybody else is wearing.
I am who I am,
I love what I love
and I wear only clothes I find beautiful and comfortable.
My personal style is not minimalist or maximalist,
I'd say that I'm somewhere in between.
I can't imagine my wardrobe without vintage items,
a pair of wide-leg trousers, a comfy sweater
and a pair of sneakers.
I do enjoy wearing some statement jewelry every now and then.
What I know for sure is that I don't like wearing clothes
that are too basic or in contrary, too loud.
I think that clothes should give a clue about who you are,
but also allow you to be the center of attention.

Derek Hough on Staying Hydrated | Life In Motion - Duration: 7:07.(upbeat music)
- Ahhh.
Hey guys.
Today we're gonna talk about something so important
and that is hydration.
I feel like most of us don't drink enough water.
In fact, studies have shown that between 60% and 70%
of Americans are dehydrated on a daily basis.
That is incredible.
And if you think that when you're thirsty, right,
if you think, oh, I'm thirsty, it's too late.
It's too late.
You're past dehydration.
(upbeat music)
One of the first symptoms of being dehydrated is fatigue,
is low energy.
So one of the fastest ways to get the energy that you need
is to drink copious amounts of water or what I like to say
is super hydrated.
The earth is 70% water.
Our brain is made up of 76% water.
Our muscles are 75% water.
And our bones are 25% of water.
So think about that.
How much water we need to intake to maintain that proper
environment in our body.
What we wanna do is we wanna flush out all the toxins,
all the acids out of our body.
Cleansing, not clogging.
(upbeat music)
An interesting story,
but I actually had terrible acne growing up.
Really bad acne, cystic, like where you know,
just boils all around this area.
I mean, it was terrible.
I had no confidence.
I felt terrible.
I didn't want to be seen by anybody.
I shied away from them.
I wouldn't look anybody directly in the eye.
I was embarrassed.
I was very very embarrassed.
And what I did is I heard drinking lots of water
was good for your skin so I drank an insane amount of water.
Just to try and get rid of my acne.
My skin started clearing up.
My energy was going through the roof.
And people asked me like, what are you doing?
What are you drinking?
I'm just drinking a ton of water, honestly.
I'm hydrating my body.
My body is working for me.
What I realized was I was eating certain foods
that were high in acids.
Right, they were high in acids and my body was just trying
to get rid of it and it was coming out through my skin.
(upbeat music)
I can hear people right now thinking
well I don't want to drink a lot of water
because I don't want to feel bloated
or retain all this water.
I know it seems counterintuitive but if you wanna get rid
of excess water weight, you actually drink more water.
Now why is that?
If your brain thinks that it's getting enough water
then it's gonna get rid of the excess water.
But if you're dehydrated,
if you're not drinking enough water,
then your body's gonna hold on to any water it can
and that's when you get that water weight.
I know it's counterintuitive but if you wanna get rid
of that excess water weight,
drink more water to flush it out and give your body
what it needs to stay hydrated and create an environment
that it needs to thrive.
(upbeat music)
So how much water should we drink a day?
All right, the minimum,
the minimum water we should drink a day
is half your body weight in ounces.
Okay, so for me, I'm about 160 pounds
so that means about 80 ounces of water minimum a day.
Okay?
That's important because I think people think like,
oh, you know,
I'm gonna have this and that's the minimum amount.
If you want you can drink more.
In fact, if you do you're probably gonna feel better
and more energized.
You don't have to be a crazy athlete.
You don't have to be super active, all these things,
it's just about giving your body what it needs.
(upbeat music)
What kind of water?
I feel like there's only one kind of water but there isn't.
There's also sparkling water.
Sparkling water is fine.
It's just as great.
I can say for me personally, I drink sparkling water
a lot slower because, you know, the bubbles.
(laughs) I'm like bup bup bup bup.
So with that you might feel more full with sparkling water
but you might not be giving yourself enough water.
So for instance, me,
I can probably down this entire glass right now.
If it was sparkling water,
it would probably take me a few minutes
to actually drink that.
The amount of people in my life that barely drink water.
Or they're drinking sodas and they feel there's water
in that but now think about this.
The amount of sugar, the amount of acid that's in there
you're not really hydrating yourself.
All right, so it's very very important that it's water.
(upbeat music)
So another thing, when you think about hydrating,
you don't wanna just think about drinking.
All right, you also want to be thinking
about what you eat as well.
70% of your diet should be water rich foods.
You want living foods.
You want things that are green.
That are alive with energy.
The body has to maintain a certain temperature
within a small range.
Otherwise there are major consequences.
The same applies for the alkaline
and acid levels in our body.
The body has a very sensitive alkaline and acid balance
and our body's actually slightly alkaline.
So, the more alkaline foods we eat,
the water rich foods we eat, the better.
If we have lived too much of an acidic lifestyle,
whether it's what we drink, the environment,
our foods, stress, emotions.
Then what happens is we create illness.
We create fatigue.
We don't want that, right.
We want to have high energy.
Wake up in the morning feeling ready to go.
(upbeat music)
Let's talk about acid for a second.
All right, sodas, coffee, sugar.
All right, the average American consumes 150 pounds
of sugar a year.
It blows my mind.
So what the acid does when we're eating or drinking
these foods or the environment, whatever it is,
is it strips the body of its natural minerals
and that we need to neutralize these acids, okay.
So a few ways again to live more of an alkaline life,
all right, a more energized life, you know.
Maybe put more lemon in your water.
Green drinks, green veg.
Like I said before,
you cannot have enough greens in your diet.
Water rich foods.
That's really gonna give you that life that you need.
Give you that energy that you need.
Sustainable energy throughout the day.
(upbeat music)
Very interesting studies have shown that cancer only grows
in acidic and anaerobic environments in your body.
So when I talk about how important it is to neutralize
those acids and to consume more alkaline rich foods
and water rich foods like greens and vegetables
and maybe a green smoothie, a green drink.
And also to highly, highly hydrate yourself.
Think of your body as an environment.
Okay, just like outside.
If it gets polluted outside, it's dirty,
there's lots of toxins in the air, right.
You don't wanna think about that.
You wanna think about your body as this beautiful
mountain range with clear skies and amazing great oxygen.
There's chemistry to energy.
There's chemistry in your body that's happening
that's all working for you and can be working against you.
Yes. So, if you wanna have copious amounts of energy,
drink copious amounts of water.
I know I'm using the word copious
because it's a fun word to use.
All right guys, thank you so much for watching.
Don't forget to subscribe
and check out the new episodes coming up.
I'll see you soon.

PLAYMOBIL | Draw My Life - Duration: 4:46.Playmobils are one of the most sold toys in history, and in their more than 40 years of
existence theyve been able to make it through time and be present in the childhood of several
generations.
These articulated figures were born in Germany, created by the company Brandstatter, located
in Zirndorf, in the southeast of the country.
Since the 50s, they made plastic products for kids, like toy cars or Hula Hoops.
But the petrol crisisS in 1973 made things very difficult for them - the price of this
material was enormously increased, and plastic was obtained right out of it.
This problem was key for the origin of Playmobil.
One of the development bosses of the company, Hans Beck, considered the father of these
toys, had the idea of making smaller toys that needed less plastic.
And so Playmobils were born: 7'5cm tall, made of plastic, rubber and clay.
The parts that can be moved are their heads, arms and legs, and also since 1982 their wrists.
They are known as clicks, klickys, in german, and they have a whole line of accesories,
vehicles and constructions.
There is also animal playmobils .
Hans Beck thought of the design while observing how little kids usually draw.
Round head, eyes and a big smile, and without details like nose or ears.
He also thought about making them flexible so they would offer more posibilities when
playing with them, and with the right size to fit in a pocket.
Unlike other toys with human shape, Playmobils can stand very easily.
Their hands have the shape of a U, so they can grab the accesories easier.
Their heads have a connector that allows them to exchange all kinds of wigs and helmets.
All this makes the experience of playing with them a lot easier and full of possibilities.
The first series they made were medieval gentlemen, native americans and construction workers.
They were presented in 1974 at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, and they were a total
success.
A year after and they were being commercialized all around the world.
All the Playmobil factories are in Europe: Germany, Malta, Spain and Chezck Republic.
Each one of them is specialised in a specific part of the product, which is then sent to
another factory where all the sets are finally put together.
The Playmobils catalog is based on different theme lines, related to jobs, trips, movies…
there are so many series and editions that a great community of followers has arisen,
who not only collect the toys but also personalize them, record stop motion videos and organize
events all around the world.
In the early 90s, they also created a special line for kids between 18 months and 5 years
old, called Playmobil 1.2.3.
They are similar to the originals but simplified, without small or detachable pieces, being
a lot safer for the little ones.
More recently, about 10 years ago, they released the Playmobil Envelopes - surprise envelopes
that contain a dismantled figurine with its complements.
There are different characters divided into male and female series, and each of them has
12 different figurines.
Playmobil has a series of theme parks around the world, where we can enjoy different rides
inspired in the brand.
There are 5: in France, Germany, Greece, Malta and the US.
And if we want to leave toys aside for a while and play video games, the company has also
been releasing their own video games since the late 90s, under the brand Playmobil Interactive.
They are mainly graphic adventures and platforms, for different consoles such as PlayStation,
Nintendo DS or the Wii, and of course, the protagonists are clicks in different forms
and shapes.
They also have an animated series, and there is also a movie expected to be released in
cinemas in 2019.
There is an estimated number of 3 thousand million Playmobils in the world.
If all these figures held hands, they would go around the globe more than 3 times.
Every second, 3.2 new figures are created.
Who has never played with a Playmobil and their miniature world?
We are sure this little toy will still be present during the childhood of new generations to come.

Visiting Japan Changed This New Yorker's Life - Duration: 2:19.Hi, my name is Edwin and I am 19 years old. I'm currently going to John Jay College,
where I'm pursuing a major in financial forensics. This past summer,
I've been afforded the opportunity by HI USA scholarship to go to Japan, where I attended
Nanzan University and I took a course in Japanese intensive language learning.
You know, I've learned so much. I'm able to hold a decent conversation in Japanese now.
I've made so many friends, especially Japanese people
that don't know any English. I never would have thought I'd be able to
make deep, deep connections with these people and, you know,
consider them my really close friends in Japan. Before coming to Japan,
I didn't think that I would get this much out of this experience. And it's definitely
changed my outlook on my career, and also my life, you know?
Related to my career, I do plan on continuing Japanese, and I think it is important to be
culturally aware, and also cultured in the sense of learning different languages.
Especially related to my career, I want to go into some type of international foreign security.
This experience has made my resume, what but I bring to the table so much stronger.
Not even mentioning the fact that I know Japanese now. It's crazy.
I actually know Japanese. "Nihongo dekiru," you know?
The friendships I made, that's the biggest experience that I've gained from Japan.
But also this is the first time I've ever, you know, went out the country.
So for me, this was huge. None of my family members have ever even been here.
So for them, it's huge, and also for me it's huge.
This experience has been priceless. I can never replace this.
This is something that I will always remember, and a huge part of that is
thanks to HI USA. So I really want to give a huge shout out
to the sponsors and also the people that made this possible. Thank you so much.
Thank you for believing in me and giving me the chance. Because of you I've been able
to continue to want to learn more.

I Guess I'm a Basic Mom| Day in the Life - Duration: 6:38.Good morning, Mood Fam
It is technically mid-morning. So good mid morning
It is a gloomy day
I'm still a little bit under the weather, but I took a dirt egg first thing when I woke up
So that appears to be healthy. Oh
I can't work my door. So there's that kids are eating some
breakfast
like
Snack right now. I
Am up and moving because we actually have things to do today. We can't just hang about like lazy bumpkins
well, the kids will be home because an Italian still shake but I
actually have to go up to the University for a meeting with the
Head of the
Linguistics department, so I don't know if you guys remember but to tell you that I have been trying to learn Korean
Yeah, the sun's coming up. Um
I've been trying to learn Korean and
I
whoops
yeah, the clouds are in the way, but I've been practicing on my own and
I've been debating if I want to go back to school or not
Like get a degree in linguistics and actually try to do something with this love of languages that I have
As far as a career wise, but we'll see
I'm just going to meet with them just to kind of see what their program is like what it offers
What they require because it is a pretty lofty school. It's one of the best schools in the country
I think chip said it's like number four or something like that
So that means it's pricey. So if I do go there I'm not about games like when I do go back to school
It's literally to go back to school and get my education. Like that's it
So that's that I'm about to make myself some coffee and stop talking because as you can hear I'm getting more
Raspy as I talk more and I don't want to sound like a frog in this interview. So yeah, let's make coffee
I know I show myself making coffee a lot
In a lot of vlogs and you're probably like Ashley we get it. We know how to make coffee
But I showed a lot because I love coffee and I like watching me make coffee. So
Yeah deal with it Oh, mommy's been sick yesterday. I did all the silverware
Because chip was going to come and clean the rest of these dishes
Yeah, but that didn't really happen so I'm going to go ahead and try and clean as much as some of them as I can
So that way when he comes home, he doesn't have a whole ton of stuff to do
Sorry, I'm trying to grab my coffee creamer. Um
For those of you who are also lactose intolerant or about that vegan life or you know, whatever
This stuff is amazing. And if you cannot tell I've turned basic and
I am in love with pumpkin stuff. That's just
It's where my life is at right now. Don't judge me
but yeah for real though this creamer like aside from being pumpkin is amazing its silk and
It's like almond creamer and then it's their pumpkin spice flavor. So it's really good. Very tasty and it's nice because
It's good because I don't
Have to like go out and get pumpkin spice stuff
Because a lot of times our stuff is too heavy too milky messes on my stomach. No fun for anybody
So yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and I might eat some cereal cuz I haven't eaten anything this morning
yeah, so I'll probably eat and then clean some stuff and then hopefully by that time it'll be time for me to go to my
Meeting and I'll get to like bring you guys along
And tell you guys how it is back actually got back a little bit ago like few hours ago
But the kids were napping so I didn't want to stop vlogging but I didn't want to come on here and let y'all know
I'm closing the vlog
The kids are eating soup I have to put away all the soup stuff
But I don't want to come in here and let you all know that it was a good meeting
I didn't wear my hair like this. I promise I just put it up like this at home because it's hot
But I had a good time talking with her. It was really brief actually because I need to speak with the admissions person
That's the person that I need to talk to next and I'll probably go in-depth on
Like what I'm doing tomorrow?
I just know that I met with the department head she is so sweet
the nicest person and I got lost on the campus like I was like I got there a
half hour before I
Need it to be but turns out I was waiting in the wrong apart department building
And so then I had to find the right department building and that took forever
so I ended up being
Not meeting her until like an hour after we said we were gonna meet but she was really nice. Very accommodating completely understood
and is excited to see
Me hopefully next fall if I get into school
So yeah, but tomorrow I'll probably talk more about like what I'm doing with school and stuff like that
I'm going to go ahead and edit tomorrow's vlog in this fog and
Yeah, then we'll just be winding down and getting ready for bed. So
Reflection for the day. I think that if you set goals
even if you don't feel like it try to stick to them because today I
Had this meeting set up with this woman for a very long time and because of how I was feeling today
I just didn't I didn't want to go
You know
I'm down. I'm under the weather and things like that and I just wasn't feeling confident
So I didn't want to go but I ended up going and ended up surprising me and being really good
So go ahead and do that
Um if you haven't already going in to subscribe button
If you want to be a part of our family and see more vlogs like this

Rolling with the punches| Day in the Life - Duration: 5:19.Oh, I forgot to tell you but yesterday I did a thing
In the vlog where oh gosh. Let me stop moving
Good morning, Mood Fam. Today is Wednesday
and we are
Not moving
It's like the first day that's kind of cold. So
I'm having a really hard time getting out of the bed because my blankets so long
The kids are killing each other in the background the sounds of motherhood
today I
Kind of just need to rest
because I feel gross I
Mean I didn't just wake up. I've been up for a while
Because the kids have been up for a while
but I'm just trying to like squeeze a little bit more time of rest in and
Then I need to my library because I put a book on hold
Even though I have a book that I'm reading right now. I put a book on hold and I want to look at that
but the library
The library near us has weird hours
And so today they're open from 12 to 8. So I probably won't be able to go in till after the kids in that
But that might be better because the Sun will be out
but yeah, it's like
Chicago weather is crazy
Yesterday was like 80 degrees and today it's 60 something so
That's not fun. Oh
Okay, I should probably start doing stuff I forgot to mention that
Yesterday I did a thing in the vlog and it's in the comment. No in the description box
But if you didn't read that from now on in every vlog
There's going to be an emoji hidden somewhere
And if you see it, then leave it in the comments which one it is
And the first person to comment will get like a shout-out
So that's fun. I saw it faith from life or forever changed in it
and I always thought it was fun and cute and I never won because I could never find it because I have the eyes of
an old bat, but
I thought it would be fun to do with you all. So yeah, keep an eye up
Falling falling like I
Got a little sidetracked in what I was supposed to be doing I
Was trying to render the videos from yesterday
so that by the time I come back it will be seamless editing things like that, but then I realized that
or Laci was getting a little full and I just wanted to go through the videos to make sure that there was nothing like
Super important or if there was anything that could be thrown away
and it's so cute going back and seeing like baby John Mark and like little Natalia and
A lot watching the clips not the actual vlogs, but watching the clips from the vlogs from like when we were moving to this apartment
And when I got my first camera, um, yeah, it's been really cool
So we haven't gone to the park
The kids
have not an out
And they are freaking out and John Mark is literally in his room
Screaming at me that he's sleepy but he refuses to nap
Yeah, I'm probably gonna go ahead and end the vlog here I'm just going through my youtube channel
editing some of the older videos trying to get you know, my thumbnails and things like that up to par or
At least uniformity they may not be good. But
Reflection for the day is to just roll with the punches. Whatever comes comes and can't really change that
You can determine how it affects you so
I'm gonna go and
Yeah, if you haven't already going with the subscribe button
If you want to hear more of my children screaming be more of our process and our journey as we grow as a family
