- Greetings and welcome to my birthday special.

It's the 29th of September and it's today 2018,

which means that I turn 45.

Today I wanna talk about human understanding

and how we can become better at resolving conflicts

or understanding each other.

Let me give you the background.

During my whole life,

I've always been presenting new ways of doing things.

(go away balloon)

I've been doing business transformations all my life.

I've been going to existing businesses

and changing processes for the better.

If you come into an existing organization

and you're the vehicle of change,

then you will face a lot of opposition.

And many times this opposition,

as in my case, this opposition manifests itself

as in people not wanting to work with you.

And when you come into an organization

as a vehicle of change many of the people

that you are depending on for changing the organization,

they do not wanna change.

They don't wanna change with you.

And this manifests itself in people working against you.

People talking bad about you,

people creating rumors and all kinds of things

that are simply not very cool.

So what are you gonna do about it?

Stick with me and I will tell you ways of dealing with this.

I'm Frederik, I've been developing people and businesses

for more than 20 years, all over the world.

I've created this channel

because I think we can all grow stronger

and I think we should all grow stronger.

If you haven't done so already,

Let's get going.

Typically when people are against us,

we react by getting mad at them

by not wanting to work with them

or being, you know, angry or sad or upset

and that's not gonna help anything,

especially if you need these people to work with you,

or you're depending on them for other projects,

or just because you would like to have a better workplace.

So what you're gonna do?

Are you gonna sit and wait for them to come to you

and say, "Hey, okay, I understand you wanna change

"everything about my job and my life at work,

"so now I change to support you."

They're not gonna do that,

of course they're not gonna do that.

You have to be the big one,

you have to be the one understanding

that if you're gonna do change,

if you're gonna do new things in the organization,

and this can be small things for a team

or it can be large, large projects for the whole company,

but you need to understand since you're the driver of this,

it's also you who have to reach out to them

and saying let's do this together.

And that can be very difficult

if people there are against you

and you know they are against you.

I don't think you can change the people's attitude

towards you overnight or even over a month or a year

because you come into that organization

and you are changing things.

Maybe they like these things

and maybe they don't want to change.

When you start to understand their behaviors

then it's easier for you to deal with.

Then it's easier for you to move with them,

move around them and you don't have

to push against them so hard.

The way I do this and the way I speak with my team

because, unfortunately, the people who are against me

also take it out on my team, the people who are close to me.

What I'm telling them is you can accept the way

that people they are against you.

You shouldn't respect it, but you need to accept it

because you cannot change it.

But in order for you to move along with them,

I always ask my team or even myself to think

of two islands, and have two islands.

You're here, I'm here and the people I wanna understand

or I need to work with are on the other island.

What I will do is I'll take my boat

and I'll go to the other island of the person

that I need to work with and I'm looking at the world

from their perspective, from their island.

I am doing what I can to understand their worries,

their concerns, their fears, their agenda.

Remember, I'm not saying I'm respecting this,

but I'm accepting this and when I start

to understand the people, then it becomes much easier

for me to work with them and to make sure

that they also feel they are a part

of this new and important change.

Let me give you an example,

when I come and I want to change this

or this and that, then a lot of people

who have been comfortably settled for many,

many years, they see me as what is this?

And they don't know how to handle me,

so they are worried of losing power,

the political influence in the organization,

which is completely understandable.

Maybe I'm saying things that they've haven't heard before.

Maybe I'm saying things or doing things

that they're not comfortable with,

maybe they don't even feel that

they have the competencies to follow me.

And of course, if you're in a job,

have a family and you have to pay your bills

and you have a career you wanna pursue

and then this comes in from the right,

saying, "Oh, what happened?"

I understand it, I accept it.

And once I start accepting this,

then I can also start working with them.

If I accept or understand that he or she feels this

and are worried about this or their job

or the political influence in the organization of whatever,

then I can use that knowledge to work with the person.

I also believe that in most of the cases

people are not against me as Frederik,

they're against me, as I said, as the vehicle of change.

It's not necessarily me that they don't like

and it's for sure not my team because there's nothing

not to like about them, but of course, I am,

the manifestation of change and that's why it goes to me.

Which is perfectly understandable and acceptable,

but I also need to work with them.

I like to work with everybody

because everybody has to understand

that I only want one thing

and that is the best for the company.

This is what I believe in and I want the best

for my teams and everybody around me,

which is the reason I made this channel anyway.

I believe we all can be strong

and I want to give my knowledge back.

I want to coach everybody who wants to be coached.

I want to grow everybody who wants to grow with me.

That's me.

The point is, when you are fighting with somebody,

it can even be at home, when you are fighting

with somebody that you say why are they doing this?

Try to go to their island,

try to see the world with their eyes,

try to understand there may be other reasons

for them doing this than just being stupid.

Maybe there's so many other things going around

but it has to be you who have to go to them.

They will never come to you for obvious reasons.

Try to understand why is he, she reacting like this

or how does his or her world look like

and is there anything I can do when I understand

this to help us move along the same path?

That's what I believe in.

A simple example is traffic.

We've all seen people drive like crazy in the traffic,

and maybe I do that also sometime.

Instead of getting mad at the people

and use the horn and say they're idiots,

try it so just for the practice,

imagine what may be going on in their mind.

Maybe they've had an accident or in their family

so they're hurrying to the hospital.

Maybe they were not thinking when they did

whatever you didn't like.

There can be so many things, but again,

instead of you trying to be the mad one,

egh, egh, with the horn,

maybe you should try saying, okay, it's fair enough.

Let them be, be the big one.

Accept it, don't respect it,

but accept that this is what they're doing today.

How To Create & Send Invoives via Square *THE EASY WAY* - Duration: 4:42.

do you want to know how to send invoices online easily and for free are

A=are you a small business owner? Do you wanna how to send invoices? In today's video I'm

gonna be showing you how we can send invoices via square first of all go to

squareup.com/dashboard

once you're there head over to invoices when you get to the invoices press on

create invoice you'll be taken to the creation page up next entering the

customers name ,

Enter in their email address.

You can enter in other recipients if you like.

add a invoice title

Add a invoice ID. It's gonna give you a default ID

whatever you want up next let's add a message for example this is what we're

gonna write please go and select the invoice method you can send the invoice

via email or manually quick note in his little manually as you can see here the

invoice is not going to be sent to the customer automatically but you need to

give them a link that's why I recommend always sending it to them via the email

you can sort of frequence and you can do the code frequency if you want

say for example repeat once a month but let's go up one time for now we can

choose a specific date you can say sent in seven days but let's send it

immediately so let's go back to today immediately select your due date for

example for this, lets go seven days, next you get now we need to add our item

press on add item you can choose something in the library or a recent

item let's do a new one new book case do your quantity let's go one at a price

for example with this $45 with that you can add a discount for example discount

book case ok we can do an amount you can do how much dollars you want off all we

can go to set for example for this thirty five percent off

magnificent up next you can set reminders I recommend doing this we can

take this links edit our reminders for example I'd set a reminder one day

before do date one on due date and another one one day after two day you

can press done you can take this to request a delivery address you can then

you can save a card on file if you wish which means the customer can save the

card on the fire and whenever you send them a voice

they'll be built straight away because they say they saved their card on file.

also add an attachment if you wish you can preview the invoice and okay so

sometimes if it's invalid you can see it's clearly invalid

and it'll tell you if there's any errors that we need to add at there we go

so now we could blow some preview so yep so this is the preview of our invoice

this is this is the preview of what they're gonna say you can save it as a

draft or we can send when you press on sand you can see it's been sent so now

we can see you're on the right information about your invoice you can

save recent activity when it's been said you can see it's been sent you can

remind the customer we've got the ability to set up reminder can press on

more we've got the ability of record payment duplicate share click OK and

If we press on cancel, it will cancel the invoice when we cancel the invoice

remember the action cannot be undone we recommend to notify the recipient that

it's been canceled now plus cancel invoice and you invoice will be canceled

How To Create Transparent Text Effect on an Image - Photoshop Tutorial - Duration: 4:05.

Hello everybody, In this quick video I will show you how I

put a transparent text on an Image in photoshop Like this, this or this

So let me show you how to do this in photoshop

We start by opening a new project, Select and add a background picture

Or we can start by opening an existing picture, here I will use an HDR picture I made a couple

of years ago of the roman Baths in the UK, in the village of Bath.

I make a new layer, I fill that layer with white,

I set the transparency to around 60-70

Next step is to add the text we want to put on top of the image,

I select the text tool and start typing my message, here I will simple use Roman Bath.

We color it black, and put it central in the frame with Ctrl-A or Cmd-A on a Mac , selecting

align vertical and horizontal to the center, Ctrl-D to deselect.

Next step is to group the text layer with the white layer, we can hit control G or cmd

G on a mac, or use the menu Layer, group layers In the group we select the text layer and

we right-click to open the blending options.

We are going to knockout the text by selecting "Shallow" and we set the fill opacity to our

liking, around 25-50%

And look what we got!

The get good readablitity of the text and still have a good view of the picture there

are several options:

We can "Blur" out the background a bit (with directional blur).

We can make the white rectangle layer smaller so you can still see the image clearly, and

read the text at the same time.

Or we can add a drop shadow to the text.

Always pay attention, when you overlay text on an image, because you are sacrificing two

things: Image clarity and Text readability

For example in this picture

Placing text on less complex areas of a photo will typically improve the readability, like

we did with the picture here.

Putting the text on the water, keeps the subject of the image, here the building, still visible.

Adding a drop shadow or stroke effect to your text, will help increase readability in photos

with more complexity.

Try to play around with the text design and see what combination works best for your chosen

image.

How to Make Simple Syrups - Bold Baking Basics - Duration: 3:35.

Hi Bold Bakers!

Welcome to Bold Baking Basics, this is where we get stuck in to the fundamentals of baking.

These videos are about getting you to bake with confidence anytime, anywhere.

Right now I'm gonna show you how you can make flavored simple syrups.

Now these are different to extracts, they're lightly flavored syrups made with sugar and

water, and you can add them into loads of different recipes and even drinks.

The recipes for these syrups can be found on BiggerBolderBaking.com along with all of

my other recipes.

Okay, let's get started with the recipe.

The first flavor we're going to make is a classic vanilla.

In a heavy bottomed saucepan we're going to add in our water, sugar, and vanilla pod.

Once the sugar has dissolved, turn the heat up to medium and let it simmer away for roughly

7-8 minutes.

So once your time is up, turn off the heat and move it over to the side.

Now we're just gonna let this infuse, the flavor's gonna become even stronger, and

we also want it to cool down before we put it into our jar.

So it's been half an hour, my syrup has cooled down completely and I'm gonna pour

it into my little jar.

I have a link on my website of where you can get these jars, they're really useful.

And there you have a vanilla simple syrup.

Now this little guy will last in your fridge for up to two months and you can use it in

a variety of different recipes and I've put a list on the website, but what I love to

do is stir this into a little bit of yogurt.

So you saw how easy this was to do, you can do this with any of your favorite flavors,

one of mine is orange.

All you have to do is in a heavy bottomed saucepan, add in your water, sugar, some orange

rind, let it come to a simmer for 7-8 minutes, cool it down, and then pour it into your jar.

So just like vanilla, this can be used in a variety of different ways, I like to put

it into drink, especially into a fall sangria around autumn time.

The next simple syrup is something that I find so many uses for, and it's mint.

The same thing as before, in a heavy bottomed saucepan, water, sugar, and lots of fresh

mint.

Then just let it simmer away for 7-8 minutes.

Okay I know you can't smell it but this is really smelling amazing.

So I'm gonna turn it off the heat, and push it over to the side and let it cool down completely.

So the difference about this simple syrup is you will want to remove the mint before

it goes into your jar, or otherwise it can get quite bitter.

Okay, fill him up, pop on your lid, and you're ready for the fridge.

Now I really love to add this into drinks and actually pour it over fruit as well, give

it a little bit of extra sweetness and that fresh flavor.

One other thing I like to do is pour it in with a little bit of tea, and it really just

takes it to a whole other level.

So when the weather starts to get a little bit cooler outside, you love those fall flavors.

You can have cinnamon simple syrup.

Same deal as the other ones, you add in water, sugar, and then some cinnamon sticks, let

it simmer away, then after a few minutes turn off the heat and let it cool down.

So into my lovely little jar I'm gonna pour in my cool cinnamon syrup.

Then pop on your lid.

So let me tell you my favorite way to use this, I love to add a little bit of it into

my oatmeal in the morning especially in the wintertime, it just really warms you up.

So I just showed you a few simple ways to use these syrups, and they can enhance so

many recipes.

MONEY, JUST MONEY.

YOU KNOW WHAT?

WE NEED A LITTLE MORE COURAGE.

WE NEED TO FIND WHAT GOD WANTS US DO.

AND WE NEED TO NOT BE SATISFIED JUST TO LIVE OUR LIFE DOING

SOMETHING WE HATE BUT LET GOD HELP YOU FIND A WAY TO DO

WHAT YOU REALLY LOVE.

I LOVE WHAT I'M DOING.

NOW, I DID A LOT OF THINGS BEFORE I GOT HERE,

BUT I LOVE WHAT I'M DOING.

AND WHEN YOU LOVE YOUR WORK, YOU DON'T EVEN--I MEAN YES,

YOU KNOW YOU'RE WORKING BUT IT'S LIKE SOMETIMES

I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHEN I'M WORKING

WE GOTTA START PRAYING, AND START BELIEVING GOD,

AND START STEPPING OUT, AND START MAKING PLANS.

IF THERE'S SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY WANNA DO THAT YOU'RE NOT

QUALIFIED TO DO NOW, THEN WHILE YOU'RE DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING,

START GETTING SOME EDUCATION TO DO WHAT YOU REALLY WANNA DO

LATER ON.

HE DOESN'T JUST DO THINGS IN SPITE OF US.

WE'RE NOT GONNA SIT AROUND AND BE LAZY WHILE GOD

DOES EVERYTHING FOR US.

YOU KNOW, THERE'S A SCRIPTURE THAT I THINK WE DON'T REALLY

SEE THE FULLNESS OF AND IT'S EPHESIANS 3:20.

"FOR GOD IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE AND

BEYOND ALL THAT WE COULD EVER DARE TO HOPE, ASK, OR THINK."

AND BOY, PEOPLE LOVE THAT SCRIPTURE.

BUT THE REST OF IT SAYS, "ACCORDING TO HIS POWER

THAT WORKETH IN US."

COME ON, "ACCORDING TO HIS POWER THAT WORKETH IN US."

AND SO, GOD IS ABLE TO DO GREAT THINGS BUT ONLY AS WE LET HIS

POWER WORK THROUGH US.

IT'S NOT ABOUT GOD JUST DOING EVERYTHING FOR YOU.

HE WANTS TO DO THINGS THROUGH YOU.

I KEEP SAYING ALL THE TIME, WE ARE PARTICIPATORS WITH GOD.

Hello beautiful people, let's just get into this video straight away without wasting any time as you can see

I am starting off on blown-out hair. I just stretched out my hair on medium heat

I didn't want it to be like bone straight

But I wanted it to be straight enough for me to see what I'm working with

And you can see my ends my ends just need prayers y'all

So how I do this I section off a small portion of my hair and then I comb it out completely

making sure all my ends are exposed and then I just

You know stretch it out once I see where my bad ends start

I just cut that off and then I go ahead to comb my hair even more so that I can see if there are any

single strand knots or

Split ends that I might have missed and once I see that I did leave some I just go ahead and cut that off, too

As you can see my ends definitely look a lot healthier

And I just go ahead and repeat this process all over my head

there are many reasons that lead to one having to trim their hair and one of the reasons is

Your ends look like they're holding on for dear life

I mean, let's face it having long hair is nice and all but when the ends look like they need prayers

You know you need to trim that off. There is nothing pretty about having long hair. That just looks like it needs help

So go ahead, trim that off

See how much healthier how much bouncier your hair will look and it will also look a lot fuller

That's a trick guys. If you want your hair to look fuller get rid of those ugly heads

another reason that will lead to you having

to trim your ends is that your hairstyles don't you know come out away you're usually used to them coming out I mean

In the previous videos I had not trimmed my hair and you can see that...ooh look at that

so full so bouncy

I even think it feels and looks lighter anyway back to the discussion. So, um when you're

Styling your hair and the styles are not coming out the way they're supposed to come out

Maybe you should just trim your hair

Because the ends will end up curling up a lot better

And even when you do your hairstyles the ends will look fuller which makes the hairstyle looks so much better

And the other reason that leads to you having to trim your hair is that it's takes way longer for you to detangle

Those ends usually end up tangling up around each other

And then you just end up having a much longer detangling session than you need to

So if it takes you a century more to detangle girl

trim those ends and
