Youtube daily car Sep 29 2018

Hey everybody

Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed the last couple videos

Today we are going to talk about Self Driving Cars

because it is something I talked about in my Uber Video

which you can see a link right up there on how I want to leave and don't

So, today I want to talk about Self Driving Cars

This my my Channel, Random Thoughts and Rants

Talk about just about anything I want to talk about on this channel

If there is something you would like to talk about, go ahead and leave it in the comments below

and I may, or may not, talk about it, because this is my channel

and I will do what I want with it, and if you don't like it, I'm sorry

but not really, sorry, not sorry

being an uber driver and being a rideshare driver in general

the self driving cars are

a lot in your mind, sure they are not coming around

this year, or next year, if you are watching this video in 2028

or whatever, and you are laughing at me because this was recorded

in September 2018

when self driving cars weren't there, I mean they had them

they were experimenting, they were perfecting, working on the AI

Tesla has theirs and Uber is working on some

and some other car manufacturers are working on theirs, Google and whatnot

Alphabet, whatever you want to call them

Now, keep in mind

All of the information I give you is just stuff I have heard

it may or may not be accurate, if it is not accurate, leave a comment below

being nice, and saying here is the accurate truth

and leave a link or send me a link

that proves that you are right and I am wrong

I am am more than willing to admit when I am wrong

But, Self Driving Cars

It is just so amazing where we live in a time where that is a possibility

In fact, in a lot of places, it is a reality, they actually work

They do work, they don't work perfect

But, they are working very well

It is amazing, because

You will be able to get in a car just like in all of the movies we see

You will be able to get in a car and it will take off and drive on it's own

and you will say take me home, it will take you home, because it will know where your home is

And nobody will actually own cars. Companies will own cars

like Uber will own cars or GM will own the cars

or whoever... Bob will own 50 cars and

his cars will take you where you want to go

And that is what I think is amazing, and it is not just

a traffic issue that I think about, I think about

I love, first of all, I love to go on a Road Trip

I like to drive, I enjoy driving, I love getting on the freeway

and just keep going and going and going

and just wee where the road takes me, take a 2-lane road and go somewhere fun

Having a self driving car do that, where

I can enjoy the actual scenery more

or, I can look around and I don't have to focus

on the driving, worry about someone wrecking

worry about someone changing a lane into me, or

a deer running across the road, whatever it is

I don't have to worry about it, I can look, I can take a nap

that would be fantastic

I could watch a movie, but,

I really enjoy watching the scenery

I like watching whats going on around me and just enjoying

and think about it, if you are with a family, on a road trip,

you can play road games, we have all kinds of stupid

little road games, the alphabet game, or whatever

It is an amazing thing

to me, that

self driving cars

are going to happen probably in my lifetime

Unless something unforeseen happens to me

relatively quickly. They will happen in my lifetime

And that is something

as a high school kid I would ever think.

It was always a fantasy, science fiction

it's like, "oh yea, that's never going to happen"

What's a computer? Computers are too slow

We never, I never had the vision in high school

to see that computers would get fast enough, AI would get good enough

to see that this would actually happen

and I guess that is something that comes with age

You know, you realize that

fantasies are not always fantasy, because people

that were in high school when I was in high school

had the same fantasies, but they also had an idea on how

to make that fantasy come true

I think that self driving cars are going to be a good thing and it's going to have a lot of

problems when they get to self driving trucks

the one thing i see as a problem with self driving trucks is

not only will drivers be out of jobs, but

a lot of support jobs will be out of

jobs. The people that work at the

truck stops, they are going to be out of work, because there are going to be no trucks

stopping with people in them to go eat

and to go to the restroom. They are still going to have some attendants

and maybe some mechanics and people like that to

fix things when things go wrong. But, there is not going to be a driver

in the car to service, there's not going to be a driver in the car to

go in and eat lunch, there is not going to be a driver in the car to go buy

some stuff for his truck or for his trip, some souvenirs

for the family. That is millions of jobs that are going to be lost

And how is that

going to affect the economy of the world?

the economy of just the United States?

The economy of everything

Elon Musk goes and talks about, er, maybe not just Elon Musk, but people talk about

A global type of economy, I can't remember the name of it

If I think of it, or if I find out, I will put it on the screen somewhere so you can see it

It is about how companies who are doing too much automation or

a lot of automation and have gotten rid of a lot of jobs pay higher taxes

those higher taxes go to the people who don't have jobs

and there is like a common salary

Ok, and now I am kind of rambling, and going off on a tangent

on something else, maybe I'll talk about that some other day

Keep in mind, I am not a genius, if you guys want to know

a lot of cool, different information about these kinds things that are

more in depth and more researched, there is a guy on YouTube called

called Joe Scott, I will leave a link to his channel below

he is really cool, he doesn't know me, he doesn't know about

my channel, I am teeny tiny. He is a really good guy, he is not

a scientist or anything, but he is really good at doing his research and

he is very entertaining and you will learn a lot on his channel

but, anyway, my thoughts, I just talk about what I think about it

I think about... [stutter]... I am excited

for self driving cars, but I am also a little concerned

as to what it means for the economy

I am really worried about that, what's it going to mean to the people, I mean

and society in general, and how is our society going to change

that's what I like to hear from you guys, what do you think

about self driving cars and how it's going to affect

the global economy, the global society?

and everything else in the world?

Just self driving cars and self driving trucks

Tell me your pros, tell me your cons, tell me everything. I want to know

and maybe I will make a follow up video on it, this is a new channel

i don't know what I want to do. I know I want to talk about thoughts and I want to rant

and stuff like that, and that is what we are going to do

If you like that kind of thing, make sure you subscribe to the channel, click the notification bell

and if you like this video, like it, and share it among your friends

and i don't really have a good sign off right now, so we just kinda say, "I'll see you in the next video"

and thank you very much for watching

How to record car sounds and vehicle workups with Mark Mangini - Duration: 3:49.

There's a great art to miking a vehicle,

and there's no one fixed way.

The fun part is how do you mic an onboard,

an in-motion recording.

A pretty typical setup might be

a microphone on the muffler.

By its nature, the sound of a vehicle is coming

out of its muffler.

Most of its sound is coming out of its muffler.

So that's a point that you wanna be capturing,

not only from the exterior recording of the vehicle,

but when you're doing your interior recordings

or what we call onboards.

And we do those in separate passes.

We'll do all the exterior maneuvers, start and drive away,

in and stop, passbys, and then we'll re-rig

and put microphones all around the vehicle

for what we call the onboards because we're gonna be

in motion all the time.

Then we'd like to have an interior perspective

of the vehicle.

I like to have at least a quad setup

because if the perspective of the camera

is you're inside the car, you wanna feel like

sort of there's a left right and a left right surround

so you feel like you're inside the cockpit of the car.

So I wanna have some interior cockpit feel behind me.

Then there's a lotta controversy

about how do you mic the engine.

I don't particularly like the sound

of microphones in the engine compartment,

though many like to record that way,

because I feel you get too many of the mechanics

that you don't actually hear when you're inside a car.

Nobody shoots a movie from inside the hood.

They shoot movies from inside the passenger compartment.

So you should, my favorite way is to place some microphones,

spot mics, right up by the firewall,

right behind the dashboard and get that engine perspective

so that if you're gonna rev it and do some kind

of performance-based driving, you get a decent feel

for the engine without the tap it clatter

or the valve train and the air compress,

the air conditioning compressor squeal.

You just don't want all those miscellaneous sounds

because they're very mechanical and clattery

and I think distracting in a scene

about probably two people talking.

Unless it's a movie about cars, I mean,

if it's a Fast and Furious,

that's a very different aesthetic, and again,

that recordist, that person capturing that sound,

is gonna take into consideration the kinds of sounds

that you want.

I know in those Fast and Furious movies,

you cut to the engine compartment and you see the blower

or the super charger.

In that case, you probably wanna have two or three mics

inside the engine compartment because you wanna hear

those flaps open up and you hear the carburetors

open and breathe in gasoline down into the manifold.

So you're kind of, you're thinking creatively

based on the movie when it comes to where

your microphone's gonna be placed.

Then there are other, it depends on what you,

if it's an old farm truck and he's bouncing along

in the back 40, you might put a microphone or two

in the wheel wells because you wanna capture

the suspension creaking.

It's an old farm truck, you might wanna hear the dirt

and the rocks kicking up inside of the wheel wells.

That's a classic sound of driving along the farm.

If a car or an old farm truck, and we just did this,

part of your full,

part of your workup might be suspension squeaks.

Because it's fun to like get in the back of the car

and like push on the back corner of the bed

and go that (squeaking)

and those are nice sweeteners you can add

as you're bobbing along inside the cab,

checking out the back 40.

Part of what we're trying to create is verisimilitude.

If we can convince the audience that you're in that vehicle,

then they more quickly suspend disbelief

and sign in to,

sign on to whatever's happening dramatically.

So anytime we can make a vehicle sound like

it's what it really sounds like,

we've helped the filmmaker tell a little bit of the story.

Initial D Special Stage - Iketani's Car Guide - Part #29 - SUBARU Impreza STi Ver.VI [GC8] (ENG SUB) - Duration: 1:00.

Impreza WRX STi Version VI, GC8.

Subaru couldn't be satisfied with success in the WRC alone,

so aerotune was done with the aim of conquering the public roads, a special version of the WRX.

The horizontally opposed 4 cylinder engine EJ20

that generates 280 horsepower at 6500 rpm is also common with other models.

However, to prevent the nose lifting at high speed,

the front under spoiler generates downforce to keep it grounded.

It is a big point to understand the strength for the first time in extreme conditions.

Its appearance with the equipped WRC spec rear spoiler is powerful.

It's up to your skill to figure out how to act with the champion.

Rennsport Reunion VI In Depth Porsche 911R Gruppe Car Interview - Duration: 10:03.

okay day two of rennes sport reunion will be a little different today as you

mentioned in the comments you were interested in sort of more deep down

deep dive into what some of these cars are so I was able to stop in to the our

group area and track down a few owners and really talk to them about their car

and see what modifications they've done and why they did them and you know

what's good what's bad so I hope you like it if you're not here you're

missing out harvey Weidman or Weidman sorry Harvey if a name's wrong he owns

this car and he also runs a Porsche fook restoration service and he was nice

enough to explain to me what the our group is and what some of these cars are

all about and introduced me to a few few of the owners so thank you Harvey

I'll come back to Harvey's car in a minute but he introduced me to Paul who

owns this car Paul is not the current owner so we were unable to kind of open

some of the the hatches but he spent I think it was seven years building this

car and he's super detail-oriented he's also an engineer to chose every

component very carefully with a purpose did a lot of research and it really gave

me the lowdown of what the specs are of this car Harvey told me this is the car

to look at because out of the group this is the one who has done the most

extensive prep and research for what they constitute as an r-group car

something that drives a lot or group cars typically do rallies or

get-togethers you know 200 miles 1,200 miles type driving and so that was some

good information to get it's not always about the sexy shiny parts it's really

about you know driving these cars sorry I wasn't able to you know interview this

live it was just too noisy in the pits there's a lot of people today here a

transport the most exciting part of this car for Paul was the engine I mean

that's the first thing he wanted to describe it's a 1978 engine from an SC a

3.0 liter he was he very strongly recommending the aluminum

case over the magnesium case just for the the thermal cycling and the

stability of the aluminum I'm saying with the transaxle he much prefers the

aluminum the heads are also 1978 1978 has the biggest valves the engine was I

think the ports were tuned by Jerry wood to just improve the velocity at the

lower end minor modifications to the to the port plenums to get the widest power

band as well the camshafts are web 21 slightly more radical than the s cams

apparently the carburetors are triple 40s and they were tuned and customized

by Abbott I think they're in Texas the exhaust is a dansk stainless exhaust but

it was re-signed read chamber the chamber was resized to optimize the

engine output for this particular setup with Cam and carburation also the

manifold lengths or the exhaust tube lengths were updated to give it the

maximum power Paul thought the muffler modifications alone were good for 12

horsepower this car he said makes 240 horsepower at the wheels

which is pretty impressive and mostly something that is fun to drive on the

street he said you know cautioned against going with the biggest valves

possible said that you just don't get enough and the same thing with

carburation don't don't over carburetor and don't oversize the valves it's it's

really difficult to drive a street car when there's just not enough atomization

of the fuel they said there's just not enough velocity with those with those

big big diameter valves in carburation to to really have low speed drivability

so he really said he wouldn't change a single thing on this car especially when

it comes to the engine he did recommend the gt3 oil pump over the stock pump it

has akin to scavenging stages and one pump stage just a higher volume more

durability seemed like that was something that he insisted on as well

will cooling is done with a 21 it was twenty one row oil cooler you can see

here it's it's a I think it's an aftermarket oil cooler I could have that

wrong but he said one of the key elements of cooling the oil is these

elephant racing brass finned coolant lines so you can see him here they the

cool the oil as well as let it flow there's a thermostat of course kind of

near the engine but this setup he said was was very stable where we live

there's the the grapevine which is a very strong grade very high elevation

change he said 100 degree weather the max temperature this this system got to

was was 190 it typically runs at 180 but pushing a heavy hill and I think third

or fourth year I can't remember was 190 was the maximum he's ever seen this this

engine run oh the other thing is it has a recurved mechanical advance

distributor I don't believe this car has twin plugs wheels are wheels of course

bye-bye Harvey there RS are finished no paint the rears are eight inch in the

front or seven-inch the brakes are from a Boxster late-model Boxster with

adapters to make them make them fit but they're Brembo brakes and the

mercedes-benz master cylinder so the combination between the the ratio of the

master cylinder to brake caliper piston size is he said perfect for great feel

it said it feel feels like power brakes but they're purely purely mechanical

hydraulic so he really really recommended the brake setup of course

like I said he's done all the research so everything he's done to the car he

said he wouldn't do it any other way the suspension is somewhat modified the

front torsion bars are slightly stiffer the front torsion bars

in 19 and a half millimeters he didn't remember the exact size of the torsion

bars but they're from a turbo so he said they're just stiff enough without being

too bouncy the suspension bushings are all new rubber he believes that the

factory rubber if it's new works perfectly if you go with something too

engineered or too stiff like Delrin or any of the bronze bushings he said that

it's just it's just too harsh and it's really not needed just use you know good

rubber parts and also the same in the rear he modified the torsion bars to a

hollow torsion bar setup slightly stiffer than stock but nothing too crazy

also rubber suspension in the rear Harvey had the same thing to say about

the suspension bushings although his car does have the silicon bronze elephant

Racing bushings at least in the in the rear and and he said that the rubber

wasn't available at the time and he installed his but if he were to do it

again you'd probably just choose rubber bushings for the kind of driving that he

does so that was really important for me to hear just the the different you know

what I would do different type advice so his engine is they he has a 2.4 liter in

his in his car we didn't go over all the build specifics on his car other than

you know he feels like it's suits him just fine so so so there you have it

that was something very very similar to what I'm thinking on my car also looking

at a 3 liter for 4 for mine and I'm a little undecided about how modern to do

the ignition system and induction system so Paul's method I really thinks you

know I really like Paul's Paul's method and mechanical advanced carburation I

think that's a pride tried and trued method nothing wrong with it but you

know a more modern approach would be to go with something like individual

throttle bodies with potentially a distributor less

timing control system so you can the advantage of that is you have a lot more

control over the timing for every rpm you have more precise fuel metering and

just better tune ability better drivability so to speak the disadvantage

of that method is you know it really kind of gets away from a vintage car so

the motor Paul has is vintage and it's you know turning knobs and and something

easy to tune versus the other system definitely requires a computer and a lot

of know-how so both are very intriguing to me leave a comment below and let me

know what your thoughts are about induction systems and what what you've

used I mean my my decisions are not made on how to go about the engine in this

car or my car but yeah I just want to keep getting input from from everybody

that's like I said my approach is to do research research research and then make

the best choice so today was really helpful thanks again for reminding me to

literally dive deep into one of these cars it's a lot of fun thanks again and

we'll see you again tomorrow

Satkago Pull Back Animal Cars Fun Review -Kids Toys - Duration: 7:39.

hey guys welcome back to the video today

I have these pullback dinosaur cars and

efj unstuck actually sent this to me so

thank you someone to eat that be fun

next to sending these to me so let's get

right into it

hi I'm Kallissa from the channel kg toys

and More and on this channel we do you

vlogs, toy reviews and other fun stuff like

this one if you new to the channel

consider subscribing and also while

you're at it maybe you would like or hit the bell

so you get notified when I post a new

video and also check in the description

down below um like see if you want to

get this and check them out or find the

sleeping or didn't say so let's get

right into the video so like I said 'if

unstuck sent these pullback dinosaur

cars and they look really fun it's ages

3 and up and basically just cars you

pull back and then they ride by

theirself and it looks really fun so

let's open it oh wow so we have 4

different dinosaur cars is what it looks

like when you open it it looks really

cool so it looks like there is a panda

there's an elephant a rhino and like a

fox maybe so let's get those open and

actually you can probably you could

store these back in there because it

just clips back on the fat and you can

start all your friends back in there so

I am hoping a panda

open up some really nice tires they all

move whoa this box looks cool there's

like yeah next on with that these are

all full of them we'll have to race them

okay I'm gonna do one back there we go

so let's go pretty far and there's so

much detail on there there's like

engines on the if you can see and maybe

the but there's little engines alright

the other one my my dad's gonna do

anything stop at the end all right all

right I'm gonna race them across the

table right I don't know how to do this

all at the same time okay we'll just do

two at a time right

but be right out woman huh

okay now let's write while the elephant

fell but all right cool they actually

they ride really good all right well and

I just told me something I really didn't

know so these are like windup all right

well let's see which one goes to

farthest all right I'm gonna go from

here I want to line them all up so none

of them shit let's see which one goes

the farthest let's see all right

Fox dingo very fussy about the Rhino oh

all right well that Fox is back here at

the burning okay let's see elephant

you've got to redeem yourself elephant

you just pushed the Fox back now we

gotta put them back all right

elephants right here all right panda is

all on you by far

all right well handed definitely one

right good job Panda my personal

favorite you're removing constant they

all have actually they all have green

eyes this cool so they all have really

good details on your side like I said

their tires are like there's smaller

ones in the back and bigger ones in the

front but I kind of like the Panda and

the elephant

I feel like those are more the girl

issue and then like the Rhino the Fox

and my boys arms or whatever but I think

the Fox is pretty cool because it has

some like jet packs or something and

you'd be like baby flying anyways but

this is cool because there's a ton of

little spikes like I'm right now but if

you pull back the wheels it goes to a

certain point and then it moves by

itself cuz that's what the cars actually

you - did you like a turn I think these

are cool

but my personal favorite is the elephant

because there's pink on it and then I

like elephants so they're cool but I

like all of these I think this is a cool

little toy for like a kid really it's a

just three to fourteen and I just these

are fun I'll definitely play with these

when I'm bored

cuz I always be bored but seeing a tip

came back and then they rule or you just

like this one but wait we should make a

train we should make a train can they

all turn that's kind of we're gonna wrap

up the video because like they only roll

in pull back and stuff these are so much

fun thank you so much to eat buns

um e funds tag if we're sending this to

me I love peas to play with I'll

definitely be playing with these a lot

and like always if you haven't already

makes you subscribe like and comment

what's your favorite TV show to watch

random for whatever anyways bye thanks

for watching have a good day

thanks for your funds Act
