Hello my dear friends

from my garage today!

and...

well

actually I just wanted to show you something

and that is

I had always the problem that the exhaust was very dirty on my GTI

and the pre-owner has never cleaned them before...

I tried a lot of different things to clean them

and somehow I couldn't clean them

so my father-in-law offered me his help

he said: "come here I want to show you something!"

yes my dog wants to attract attention

he showed me that he cleaned the exhaust pipe

but only one of them so you have that before and after effect

you can see the right one is very clean

and the left one isn't

very outstanding!

only problem is.. they are shiny again on the sides

but this evil dirt is not removeable

even my father-in-law failed to clean that

when you scratch over it you can feel that it is coked on it

no chance!

to compare both you have the clean one here

and this is the dirty one

it is really matte

and there is a lot of smut too

and if you wonder how that works, there is a grinding paste

from different brands, but I don't want to mention them

they all of sort of the same impact

that grinding paste is for steal and other kinds of metal

and it gets polished with a cloth

if the dirt is real bad like here you need some time to get it off

some viewers ask me what I use for cleaning the car

I am not a professional car cleaner. For that you should visit @83metoo. He does a lot better than I do

I am one of those who uses glass cleaner for everything

I clean stuff mostly with glass cleaner

if it's in the household or on the car, it doesn't matter

glass cleaner is my allround cleaner

Neverthelesse I bought some other products

I don't want to advertise certain products

I have now an insect cleaner that you spray on the front of the car

I have cleaned the car just yesterday

But I will show you a photo of how it looked after my Holidays

I was on Holidays where I drove 1.500km (~950 miles)

that is how the car looked like

so the car had a nice insect cementery on the front

I sprayed the insect cleaner on the front and let it there for a few seconds

but when I zoom in on the car you can see that there are still some flys left

same here. Don't know if you can see that..

like those blood spots from the flys

So I sprayed insect cleaner on the front of the car

my body guard dogs. As you can see you cannot sneak in here

As I said I spray insect cleaner on it

I let it operate and clean it with water

that cleaner is pretty aggressive so you should not let it operate for too long

after that I put auto-shampoo on it

and I clean everything with a sponge

the rough dirt should be cleaned already

because you should avoid to scratch the rough dirt on the car

otherwise you'll get scratches on the car

therefore you should rinse it with the pressure washer first

so first the insect cleaner and then the pressure washer to get rid of the rough dirt

then you take a sponge

and you fill up a bucket with car shampoo

and with water of course

then you wash the car with that

and then rinse it again

I have always problems with the rims

I clean the rims very extensive

and I even dry it with leather

but actually you don't dry it with leather nowadays. You take fabric or something similar

but there are always some dust left

again...

so they are not getting real black again

and I also don't know how you can clean this in the back

so when you have tipps for that please leave a comment below!

oh and what I also love to do is

to make the tyres real black and when you take pictures of it

and you don't want the tyres to look dirty

there is a spray for your tyres

in my case I used a foam and I sprayed it onto the tyres

the tyres absorbs the foam within a minute

and then

the tyres are really shiny again

as you can see I didn't do it on the inside

hope you can see it

they are really shiney here and they look all black now

in case you have a photoshooting with your car you should try that!

I can recommend to do so

something that I'm really good in is to vacuum clean the car

I hate it when there are small crumbs on the seats

of course I forgot the keys now...

a car has to be clean, because a car is like a living room for me!

and you don't to have crumbs in your living room either

therefore I clean it frequently

So I vacuum clean the car and take dust cloth for the dashboard

to eliminate the dust

as I said: I'm not a professional car cleaner

but my cars look always clean

it doesn't matter where I go. I always have the dirtiest car

I need a car wash... disgusting!

it's getting annoying... I always attend to car events with very dirty cars

of course you can clean the car more effectively

but a car ais also an object of utility

and when I need like

4 hours to clean my car, which was normal in former times

I didn't want to drive the car anymore, because I knew it becomes dirty again

but I actually want to drive my car!

Therefore I try to clean my car in a very short period of time

and make it look clean at the same time

you should also clean the door sill panels

as we use to say: outside yay, inside nay

some people drive through the car wash and that's it

and then they open the door and you can see that they haven't cleaned the car properly

so please clean the door sill panels too otherwise the dirt will remain there forever

what else can I tell you?

as you might noticed in other videos, I will modify the GTI a little bit

first I will clean the left exhaust pipe of course

as you can see the height of the car is too high

and I'm still driving with all season tyres

I didn't put them on. They were mounted on the car when I bought it

the pre-owner of the car was a car rental company

it probably was a rental car

of course they mounted all-season tyres on the car. That's how those company do it

In my opinion it's stupid

I will replace them

and then the car should be lower with a sport-suspension

so that I can use the car in a sportier way

to use it on the Nordschleife maybe

I'm scared to drive it on the Nordschleife in this set up

I'm scared to drive fast with it, because it doesn't feel as good in corners as it should feel

so all-season tyres are not good at all for this purpose

all season tyres are good for regular drive, but not for driving fast

so please don't safe money and put those tyres on when you want to drive fast

okay, so I will put sport tyres on it. But no semi-slicks

just some tyres that have good grip on dry and wet roads

I also want to change the wheels of the car

those are a little bit too small

here we have 18" but I want 19" rims

usually this car comes with 19" AFAIK, but not this one

but this was a rental car so they used cheaper tyres

I actually like the design of the rims, so there are just a few ones that I like

If you have a look from distance, I think they look good on the car

when you have new tyres on the car you want to have some that look different

I leave this one for the winter

I love the OZ Ultraleggera rims, although most people have them on the Golf already

I like them too in black

of course there will be also an individual Sophia Calate design on the car

I have a cool design in my head already

that's gonna be on the car pretty soon!

something I can reveal is that the base color will remain white

I wanted a white car so that's why I've chosen a white one

so, the color remains white and I just want to add some sporty looking design onto the side of the car

my logo will be on it too

on the rear window and the side I will add the social media accounts

or maybe they will be here on this spot?

I think it feels lonely

that makes me sad, because we've had so many rainy days

and then you cannot use this car

it's actually clean too, just a few flys here and there

I don't want to drive it all the time in every weather condition

there weren't so many car events that I could take part in either

I was on Holiday and I'm working a lot at the moment

and therefore it's a poor little baby

soon I will drive it again

about the badges: I think I've told you in a different video what they are about

I'm collecting those

so you can see where the car has been to

those are the badges of Switzerland

from Austria and Slovenia or vice versa?

The car was in Italy too, but they don't have badges

But I like that. There are not so many cars like this with different badges

there will be also a new wrap on the car, maybe by the end of the year

I also have a design for that as well

but I think it will change like 10 times again

often I have a color or a design that I really like and 5 days later I think

this one is even better!

I have a color right now, but I'm not gonna tell you. This is a secret

so please be patient with it

I can tell you know that it will be something that you haven't seen before

or is at least very rare

and of course I will you show everything that happens with the car

when it gets a new wrap

and when the GTI gets a new wrap too!

I have car freaks behind me. And this really isn't my thing.

I don't understand how people can spend thousands of francs on a car

that ends up looking like any other car.

OK, so that one is green...

Behind me, they're measuring decibels.

I'm standing next to Prash.

He's the founder of Tamil Car Freaks,

he's running the event.

Honestly, it's like a separate culture.

Everyone wants to be seen.

When you go to a family party,

of course you want to wear the prettiest dress.

Do you have more than one car?

I've got three cars.

You've got three cars?

Who needs three cars? But OK.

The car needs to be this low down.

So you lower it.

Everything white has been given a black and gold airbrush design.

Even the exhaust gets replaced, which we still have to do.

That'll make the car sound awesome.

And why do people do that?

Why invest CHF 10,000 in a lowered CLA-class car?

I could also ask why women spend thousands on make-up.

I don't understand that either!

I could do something with the paintwork, of course.

And now I want to lower the car, do the exhaust and modify the whole thing.

Once you start, you get really addicted.

They're measuring the decibels

and it's banging and roaring.

What's so cool about that?

Can a car freak explain it to me?

I really want to understand.

Look! They're so happy!

A car isn't just a car for a tuner.

9 FASTEST RWD Cars on the Nürburgring - (production cars only) - Duration: 7:00.

Today on the Car Truth Report we are analyzing the 9 fastest Nurburgring lap times by a rear

wheel drive production car.

 The Nürburgring is a 12.9 mile racetrack that contains 150 some corners and was built

between the two world wars.

 It is considered by most drivers to be the most difficult and complicated circuit on

the planet.

It should be noted that we are not including track cars like the Radical SR8, Donkervoort

D8 or low production cars like the Gumpert Apollo on this list.

 It should also be noted that there are some cars that are out right now that do not have

established ring times that would likely appear on this list, such as the 2018 911 gt2 RS,

new Ford GT, and the yet to be released Corvette C7 ZR1.

 Also be sure to watch through to the end, because at some point in this video we will

give you our prediction for the car that we think will take the #1 nurburgring time in

the near future.

Starting out the list at number 9 we have the 2015 Ferrari 488 GTB with a 7:21.6.

 The $249,000 Ferrari is powered by a 3.9L Twin Turbo V8 that puts its 661 hp and 560

ft/lbs of torque through a 7 speed dual clutch transmission.

 With a curb weight of 3362 lbs. the Ferrari 488 GTB has a power to weight ratio of 393

Hp per ton.

The Ferrari is definitely the nicest place to sit out of all the cars on this list, and

is also arguably the best looking car as well.

Coming in at number 8 we have the $110,000 2012 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 with a time of

7:19.6, which puts it a full 2 seconds ahead of the Ferrari.

 The Zr1 is powered by the 6.3L Supercharged LS9 V8 that made 638 horsepower and 604 ft

lbs of torque and utilizes an old school six speed manual transmission.

 At 3333 lbs, the ZR1 made 382 horsepower per ton.

Lucky number 7 ironically goes to.

the 2010 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, aka "The Widowmaker", with a 7:18.

 Like the ZR1, the $138,000 GT2 RS also utilizes a 6 speed manual gearbox.

 However the GT2 RS puts its very different Twin Turbo 3.6L flat six in the trunk, instead

of in the front like the ZR1, or the middle like the Ferrari 488.

 Even though the GT2 RS has the smallest displacement engine on our list, the 2010

GT2 RS has the highest power to weight ratio of 410 hp per ton.

Just missing the top 5, we have the beastly 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE with a 7:16.

 The 6.3L Supercharged LT4 motor, borrowed from the Corvette Z06, makes 650hp and 650

ft lbs, which is good because the ZL1 1LE, like most americans, weighs in at the top

of this group at a massive 3873 lbs, which puts this goliath at 338 hp per ton.

 

How was a $70,000, nearly 4000 lb manual rear wheel drive muscle car able to put down such

a good time on the green hell?

 Tell us what you think in the comments.

 Our best guess would be that it's massive sticky tires, and what at least looks like

the second most aerodynamic bits in the group surely didn't hurt.

 We should also note that the ZL1 1LE was rumored to have done a 7:13 after official

timing was over that day, but since it isn't official, we are going with the 7:16 for now.

At number 5 in the pack, we have a car that contains the name of the track, the Lexus

LFA Nürburgring Package with a 7:14.6.

 337 hp per ton is achieved with a glorious sounding F1 inspired 4.8L Naturally Aspirated

V10.

 The Lexus LFA is the most expensive car on our list at $445,000.

 

In at 4th place, with an impressive 7:12.7, the second 911 on this list, the 2018 Porsche

GT3.

 This 911 differs from the 2010 911 GT2 RS in a few key ways.

 The 2018 GT3 utilizes a 7 speed PDK, or a 6 speed manual, though we are assuming they

used the PDK to get their 7:12 ring time.

 The new GT3 also employs the same 4.0L naturally aspirated flat 6 that is used in the Porsche

GT3 Cup racecar.

 At 3153 lbs and "only" making 500 hp, the GT3 makes 317 horsepower per ton, the

lowest overall power and to weight to ratio on our list, proving there is more to a great

ring time than just brute force.

The Bronze medal goes to the 2010 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR with a 7:12.1.

 The 8.4L Naturally Aspirated V10 is the biggest engine on our list, and made 640hp

in the 2010 model.

 Even with it's big V10 up front, the 2010 ACR came in at a reasonable 3190 lbs, and

was good for 401 HP per ton.

 The 6 speed manual is making another appearance on our list with the 2010 ACR.

Coming in at number 2, we have the third German car on this great German track, the 2017 Mercedes

AMG GT-R with a 7:10.9.

 At 3428 lbs the twin turbo 4.0L V8 AMG GTR makes 336 hp per ton.

 The AMG GT-R is the only car on this list that compete with the Ferrari as far as interior

and exterior styling goes.

Before we get to the current fastest RWD car on the Nurburgring, let's give you our prediction

for the rear wheel drive car that is going to take the overall Nürburgring record, once

it comes out.

 The mystical machine that we are talking about is the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

 At a reported 2200 lbs and with over 1000 hp, this car will have the power to weight

category in the bag.

 Power to weight is not the Valkyrie's only ace in the hole.

 The Valkyrie is also going to make more aerodynamic downforce than any other car on

the road, and is reported to make 2.5 G forces in the corners!

 We have already done a whole video on the new Aston Martin creation, the link will be

at the end of the video.

Now to the champion, the current fastest RWD production car on the nurburgring the 2017

Dodge Viper ACR with a blistering 7:03.5 around green hell.

 That is a whole 7.4 seconds faster than the second place car on this list the Mercedes

AMG GT-R.  The story behind this amazing lap time could be a whole video on it's

own.

 Unlike all the other times on this list, which were achieved by factory sponsored efforts,

this time was achieved by Viper owners/enthusiasts, and with internet crowdfunding.

 Hopefully this is a model that could be picked up by enthusiasts of other cars, so

we can get even more awesome ring times, when the factory isn't willing or able to run

a car on their own.

And before you go screaming in the comments about the McLaren P1 LM, we didn't count

it's amazing 6:43.2 because a production run of 5 does not meet our classification

for production car.

 Though one would presume the vanilla P1, Koenigsegg One:1, and LaFerrari would surely

be on this list, they currently don't have any official Nürburgring lap-times that we

can find at this time.

Can The Trackhawk Replace Your Sports Car? - Duration: 3:11.

What's up guys? It's Trav with Ideal Cars and today we're talking SUVs

Specifically performance ones. So maybe not everyone around the country

is feeling this, but in this state anyway we're in Washington the economy seems to

be doing a bit better than it has been over the last few years - and as a result

people are buying new cars. Not just new cars but SUVs. Performance SUVs in

particular. More and more manufacturers are getting into the SUV game Bentley

has invent egga rolls royce has their new SUV the it's the the Cullinan Jaguar

makes the F pace you've got the people that have been around for a while jeep

jeeps always been a big one now they make the SRT the Grand Cherokee is

better than it's ever been you've got the q5 in the sq5 the new q7

of course you can't forget the Range Rover Sport the BMW x5m or x6 M the AMG

line of SUVs from Mercedes and let's not forget the truck that arguably started

it all the GMC Typhoon oh and I suppose we should give a mention to the machine

that along with the Boxster made Porsche the most profitable manufacturer in the

industry the VW toured the Porsche Cayenne look

the point is every manufacturer is trying to build an SUV these days and

most of them are trying to build a performance version the question is why

is driving a performance SUV actually any fun well the consensus is well yeah

it can be but it depends on the car now Jeep just released the brand new 2018

Grand Cherokee track honk and it's been dubbed by some to be America's most

practical supercar now the first fast Jeep came about two decades ago in 1998

with the 5.9 liter Grand Cherokee and it was able to do 0 to 60 in less than 7

seconds which for an SUV at the time was unheard of this new one though gets the

6.2 liter v8 out of the Hellcat and it makes 707 horsepower it'll do 180 miles

an hour and it goes 0 to 60 and only 3 and a half seconds that's insane

now we haven't driven one yet but I'm sure it's an absolute animal to blast

around it the question is though why would you really want one of these I

mean it's not gonna be as fun to drive as a supercar probably it's not as

efficient as just a daily driver most people's daily drivers

anyway and while yes the luxury is there it still probably doesn't compete with

something like the BMW 7-series Lda 8 or Mercedes S Class now don't get me wrong

I love a powerful SUV or truck just as much as the next guy but do you really

need one does it actually make more sense to have something like the track

clock compared to say a sports car and a regular SUV or a sports car and a pickup

truck instead I don't know I'm just not convinced that having a track inspired

How To Save A Flooded Car - Duration: 1:39.

today I'm going to show you how you can try to save a car that's been flooded

out, now the first rule is, don't try to start it, you want to see if the engine

transmission got water in it first, then check the oil dipstick, now in this

case it's clean and it's right to the full line, if it had been way over the

full line, that means water got inside and displaced the oil, because if there

is water in the engine, if you start it, mixes this up and destroyed stuff, but if

you don't you just drain it all out and change the oil and filter, it can be okay

then and the same thing goes to the transmission fluid, check the fluid to

see if it's over full with water, inside if has water, you can drain it before

you start the car, put new fluid in and it could be okay and of course, check the

air filter and it's dripping and full of water, you know water got it in the

engine, so then you need to do this, so in this case, you take out the spark plugs,

you pull them all out of their holes, so then there's no pressure to be built up

when you crank the engine, so now if there's any water, the engine will just

suck it in and spit it out the spark plug tube holes, and you put the spark

plugs in after the waters gone, well plenty of water came out, so now put the

spark plugs back in and see what happens,

so if your car recently got flooded out, now you know what to do in the first

place, and yes, the sun's coming out, and saving Houston, more quick fixes on the

Dealership once again the service department to get my car checked out now the reason

I'm going over there is because the other day

I got my break in service check for my car and after I got that I was supposed to be able to launch my car

And for some reason I literally tried everything and I cannot use launch control on my car

No idea what the issue is we're gonna bring it over there. Hopefully they can figure it out. They have to unlock it

Maybe I have no idea what's going on and then after we get that figured out?

I think we actually might be ended up going to the beach later on today, and it's beautiful out
