Hi,my name is uiler.
This time, I have created add-on what setup automatically "Bendy Bone".
I want to explain it's functions and Usage.
Please install the downloaded ZIP file as it is for the installation.
Once installed, you can find add-on on the tool shelf.
In this add-on, you select bones that you want to setup,
and push the "Setup" button, then this add-on adds automatically handles to head and tail of each selected bones.
After that,you input values of bendy bones, here.
If you activated checkbox of "X-axis Mirror",
this add-on look up automatically symmetrical bones and reflect values to it.
If you setup symmetrical bones like this by hand work,
you must input inversed to "X-in/out" and "Roll-in/out" values over Left and Right.
Using this add-on, you can reduce the workload.
In Addition, you can change thickness and length of handles.
The last, you can input "Volume variables"
that is value of "Stretch to" constraints.
You can check result in pose mode.
"Stretch to" constraints have been added to pose bones.
And setting up custom refelence bones.
Next, you can input values to curves of bendy bone in pose mode.
Just like before,
you select bendy bones in pose mode and push the "Transform" button.
Like edit mode, input values.
If you want to insert keyframes,
switch "Insert keyframes" to turn on,
push the "Confirm" button.
In this function, you activated checkbox of "X-axis Mirror",
you can transform symmetrically like in edit mode.
The basic function is over.
Next, I explain function of parents handles of handles.
This function is that add parent bones of two or more handle bones that are crossing.
Just like before,
you select bendy bones
and activate this checkbox and push setup button.
Then, parent handle bones that move together handles that are crossing are added like this.
At this time, parent of handles are going to selected bendy bone's one.
You might already recognize that name of handles are so long.
This add-on set the name of handles to hashes that is calculated by names of crossing bones as temporary name.
If you finished setups of bendy bones,
you can rename of them by this renaming tool.
You can find tool of renaming in pose mode.
You select bones that you want to rename,
push "+" button or reload button.
Then, names of bones are listed.
And change the order of it.
Rename will be done in order from top to bottom of the list.
Even if you add them all at once, the order will be random,
so I recommend that you add one by one.
Next, enter the base name for the bone name.
The last, set the serial number.
If you select "None", serial number is set by blender itself.
If you select "Alphabet", it have been added sequentially like Excel columns.
"Number" is a normal sequential number.
The program automatically recognizes and appends prefixes and suffixes indicating left and right such as LR.
Tha last, push "Rename" button.
After that, Rename results are reflected on the screen as you move the screen a little.
I created this rename tool because it was not possible to automatically attach the name of the parent handle bones on the program,
but you can use this tool to regular bone names.
Continuation of about the parent of handle bones.
Even if you have not done add the parents of handle bones you can add it later.
However, whether a handle already exists or not is determined by the name of the bone.
Please note that if you change the bone's name or already set up manually,
Bendy bone will have a new handle bone added.
In addition, you can change the prefix or suffix for the name of the added handle bones in the Detail column.
Also, handle bones are automatically set as the parent of each bone that was selected,
but when you input bone name in this "Specific Bone" mode, It is set as the parent.
Please use this function if you want to change parents of handles.
About parents of handles is over.
Next, I will explain the driver handle.
In this function, activate this checkbox and push "Setup" button.
Then, two bones are added to each bendy bones and that stand orthogonally to bendy bones.
Bendy bone has a driver set automatically,
you can transform Bendy bone values by moving, rotating, and scaling bones.
With this add-on, you can perform transformation symmetrically as shown earlier.
Also, since the increment / decrement amount when each value is dragged can be set finer than usual,
the workload when changing the value of Bendy bone of such as facial of actual size 3d model that it is being reduced.
But if you use driver bones, you can transform Intuitively more than inputting values.
The necessary explanation is over.
There are "New" and "Specific" in the setting items of the driver bone.
This is a function to add a driver bone to another armature.
I had thought it that rendering frames are delay one frame,
if i add driver bones to armature that driver bone include itself.
I verified again it in making this video,but I couldn't do it.
Apparently it was my misunderstanding.
However, I made it hard time,
and I wouldn't want to encounter accidentally same situation again.So I remain this function.
Below, I will explain how to use,
but those who do not intend to use the function can stop viewing here.

Let's start by adding a driver bone to the newly created Armature.
If you select "New",
Insert a new Armature name,
and press the setup button,
Armature is newly created and driver bones are added to the newly created Armature.
When adding a new Armature,
if activate this checkbox,
a bone with the same shape as the parent bone is added to the new Armature to create a parent-child hierarchy.
When this bone is operated,
Transforming is transmitted to the parent bone of the original Armature.
In this way, "Copy Transform constraint" is added to the original parent bone.
You can also add a driver bone to an existing armature.
Select "Specific"
and input another armature name,
and press the setup button.
As before, a driver bone will be added to the specified Armature.
This time it is over.
If you set bendy bone manually,
it will be a work from one hour to one day if the number of bones is large.
But If you have this add-on,
I think I can shorten it to a few minutes of work.
