'I'm gutted Liverpool didn't help me out... I was told I couldn't play' - Duration: 2:59.

Spearing, 30, will lead Blackpool out in the FA Cup against Arsenal today looking to pull off a giant-killing

Spearing has been at the Tangerines since 2017 after signing from Bolton - a place where it's not all happy memories

**PREDICT FIVE RESULTS AND WIN £25,000 - FREE TO PLAY HERE** After making his Liverpool debut in 2008 in the Champions League, Spearing was loaned to Bolton for the 2012-13 season

He made a permanent move at the end of that loan spell but by 2016 the club were fighting a Championship relegation battle

However, hopes of Spearing leading them to safety were undone with Bolton unwilling to select him

Under terms of the deal with Liverpool, one more appearance for Bolton would trigger a £100,000 payment to the Reds

Talks were held between the two parties but Liverpool refused to defer the terms

"Neil Lennon [the then Bolton manager] said on the training ground, 'You can't play tomorrow,' " Spearing said in an interview with the Times

"I was like, 'What have I done?' He said the chairman had rung and there was a clause

"I'm not saying I would have been the saviour but there were still 13 games and it was difficult to watch

"I didn't ring anybody [at Liverpool]. I was just a little bit gutted they didn't help me out

" But Spearing holds no hard feelings and he still thinks the Reds will win the Premier League title

"I played in every competition for the club and I did everything I had ever dreamt of doing," Spearing said

"I will always look back and think, 'What a time that was.' "I don't have one regret

I genuinely think they will win the title and the city will go into shutdown. Look at the Champions League final in 2005

I was 16, on a scholarship, and sitting on top of a traffic light outside the town hall for five hours waiting for the bus to come round

Vader Fan Film vs Rogue One - Which Action Scene Was Better? - Duration: 4:45.

which action scene was better Vader or rogue one? Hello and welcome to another

Pace Maker Gaming Star Wars video. Today we'll be discussing which Darth Vader

action scene was better the opening scene of Vader Episode one by Star Wars

Theory or the hallway scene from rogue one a Star Wars story but before we

begin if you are new to the channel please subscribe and hit the like button

if you enjoy this video. In this video we're going to be doing a like for like

comparison on the three things that coherently make these video clips great

action scenes. Let's start off with Vader the Star Wars fan film that blew

up and is currently sitting at five million views as we speak which is on

average gaining 5,231 views per hour. 3 things that make the Vader

fan films opening such a great action sequence is the music, special effects,

the camera angles and the battle choreography. Now the music for the fan

film works great for opening scene. It nicely adds to the mystery of why the

clone troopers attacking Lord Vader and most of all who is he choking! The special

effects were mind-blowing for a fan film. They weren't the same level as the

current Disney films but they were fantastic nevertheless. The camera angles

were also really good in this fan film. The opening shot of Vader by the glass

window kick started a great opening sequence and this quality of filming

continued through the entire episode. Now in this action scene Darth Vader eliminated 12

clone troopers in one minute and 13 seconds.

The choreography was well timed from Darth Vader's lightsaber Parry's to

the clone troopers getting hit in the head and dropping to the ground but all

in all this was an excellently made action sequence that Star Wars Theory and his

team should be incredibly proud of their achievement. Rogue One. The second most

watched Star Wars fight on YouTube and arguably the best part of the Rogue One

film. To analyze three things that make the Darth Vader hallway scene such a

great action sequence will again be reviewing the music, the

special effects, new camera angles and the battle choreography So we're having a

fair comparison. Now the music for the hallway scene was absolutely thrilling

and I must say Trump's the soundtrack from the action scene in the Vader fan

film, but that is expected, it adds to the dramatic entrance

Darth Vader makes when he ignites his lightsaber and wipes the floor with

rebel scum. The special effects were great in rogue one. I also liked the fact

that they didn't appear to use CGI in the scene where Vader lifts the rebel up

to the ceiling making this scene look even more realistic and even more

thrilling. The camera angles were fantastic in Rogue One throughout the

entire scene and throughout the entire movie from when Darth Vader first makes his

appearance to when the surviving rebels are running for their lives the

intensity of this scene is extremely well captured. Now in this action scene

Darth Vader eliminated 14 rebels in 26 seconds the choreography was

fantastic and Darth Vader managed to kill more enemies in less time in rogue one

than in the Vader fan film, which totally makes sense as Vader

Episode one is set just eight months after the events of Revenge of the Sith

at that time Darth Vader was still very much getting used to his new robotic

body and his new robotic limbs. So in conclusion by comparing the music,

the special effects, the camera angles and the battle choreography the better

action scene in my opinion has to be the hallway

scene from Rogue One. The music, the fighting, the choreography and special effects were

far superior but this was by no means meant to discredit any of the work done by

Stars Theory and the craters of Rogue One. But after doing this fair comparison I

have to say that the action scenes from Rogue One does trump what we got in Vader

episode 1 shards of the past. So what do you all think? Sid you agree with my

decision? Let us know in the comments below and I'll see you all on my next

Star Wars video.

Female 'stalker' who was arrested for harassing male date sent him 159,000 text messages - Duration: 8:58.

Female 'stalker' who was arrested for harassing male date sent him 159,000 text messages

A Phoenix woman who was arrested last spring for allegedly stalking a man she had gone out on a single date with sent him more than 159,000 text messages, including some threatening violence and dismemberment.

At the time of her arrest in May 2018 on counts of stalking and criminal trespassing, police said Jacquelyn Ades, 31, peppered the victim with 65,000 texts over the course of 10 months.

It has now been reported by The Arizona Republic, which has reviewed police reports and videotaped police interviews, that the number of missives, many of them sadistic in nature, was more than double that.

Ades, a licensed beautician from Florida, met the unnamed victim, identified only as the CEO of a Scottsdale-area company that sells skincare products, through the dating site Luxy, which bills itself as a dating service for millionaires.

The two went out together once, but the man was not interested in pursuing a relationship with Ades, documents stated. Despite that, the woman continued sending him text messages, sometimes up to 500 a day.

The businessman contacted police in July 2017 when he spotted Ades parked outside his Paradise Valley home.

Before long, Ades allegedly began inundating the object of her apparent obsession with increasingly threatening messages, including one that read,'I'd make sushi outta ur kidneys n chopsticks outta ur hand bones.

Another disturbing text stated: 'I'd wear ur fascia n the top of ur skull n ur hands n feet. Fascia is a thin layer of fibrous tissue enclosing muscles and organs.

A third menacing missive declared: 'oh what would I do w ur blood! Id wanna bathe in it. Ades' arrest records indicate that the woman was 'showing signs of mental illness.

In April 2018, the victim was remotely checking his home surveillance video when he spotted Ades. Police officers went to the home and found the 31-year-old woman taking a bath in the man's tub.

When police searched Ades' car, they found a large butcher knife on the passenger seat.

When asked by police to explain her presence inside the man's home, Ades replied: 'I guess that I made up a whole scenario in my head where I live here, so I came here and pretended that's what was happening.

The victim said after that incident, Ades sent him more threatening texts, one of which stated: 'You do whatever you have to do to get here… but don't ever try to leave me. I don't want to be a murderer.'.

When asked if she thought her messages were normal, she said: 'No, I don't think anything I say is normal. Ades said she understood that the man did not want to be with her.

'It's OK if that's how [he] feels,' she said. 'Somebody else should love him. He has so much to love. I can't believe I scared him.'.

Ades is currently being held without bond at Maricopa County Jail. She is scheduled to go on trial in February.

Alles was du über dritte Staffel von Sword art online wissen musst ! - Duration: 7:09.

Hello KINGRDB here today we are talking about Sword art online

We will discuss

why Kirito is in a coma and how he gets treated and

I will also explain the complicated plan of kikuoka

lets get it

Sword art online doesn't make it easy for the audience to understand what they want to explain

the explanations that are always provided give me a feeling of sitting in a university lecture

I really needed a long time to understand everything

Kirito got involved in an incident with the fugitive Death Gun criminal

and has therefore fallen into a kind of coma, what he got injected by the criminal

caused his neural network in the brain to get damaged.

So the nerves in his brain are damaged.

When Mr. Kikuoka found out that kirito was attacked he brought him to his facility RATH

to treat him Not because he is so nice but because it is a

WIN WIN situation for him and kirito but more about this later

Kirito is currently treated with the STL created by RATH

The STL can transfer the Fluctlight from a human into a Virtual World

The "Fluctlight" shall represent the soul of the human being

Yes, and how exactly does the STL help Kirito now? The STL can apparently also handle the neural network.

So what we now know is that the STL

can do two things 1.It can transfer the soul into VR

2. It can treat the neural Network of a human being

Now all that remains is the question ... Who are you kidding Mr. kikuoka ?

as if all this is a coincidence?!

I noticed this absurdity only now when I was writing the script guys i tell you

Kiritos current state is the fault of kikuoka Here my explanation :

Before Kirito was sent into a coma He had a kind of part-time job at RATH

you can conclude from it that he has normal working hours and was not always present

of course he had other things to do Mr. Kikuoka but wanted to get ahead with his plan faster

and so let kirito attack I mean Kiritos neuronal network was damaged

and ONLY RATH can treat him it cant be more obvious who hurted him

Kirito is momently in the full-spec-Stl so can Kikoaka get faster tho his plan results

that's why I just spoke of a WIN WIN situation

what actually if my theory is true no WIN WIN situation is

How do you feel about it? Do you think Mr. Kikuoka arranged all this?

Do not forget that Asna and kirito didnt trust him anyways...

Write it in the comments

What does Mr Kikuoka's plan actually look like?

The goal of Mr. Kikuoka is to build an artificial intelligence based on the

"bottom up type" which will be used to prevent wars.

The Botttom up type is supposed to simulate the human brain with 100 billion brain cells

so they want to build an artificial intelligence that has a brain

How exactly they want to use that to stop the war is still unclear to me I guess that they will

either build robots that they will then use in the war

or a cyber attack that can paralyze entire infrastructures

What do you think ? How they gonna use the artifical intelligence?

Write it in the comments !

The main reason why they need Kirito at all is because the inhabitants of Underworld

have created the Taboo Law but the goal of Kikuoka and the Taboo Law do not harmonize

with each other As the Taboo Law forbids to hurt people in any way

That's why they need Kirito to literally hack the system, his job is

to retrieve Alice's memories so they can analyz her Fluctlight

then they'll probably attack Quinella to nullify the Taboo Law

But actually they could also simply analyze Eugeos Fluctlight

because he has also broke the taboo law but lets see since the crime of Eugeo

they havent switched to the real world yet

There is the possibility to copy the Fluctlights with the STL that works like this:

The STL can recognize the Fluctlights the data is then stored in the Light Cube

and data can be copied so easily that The Light Cube is a data storage medium

what consists of photon crystal it has the capacity of a human brain

When Cardinal said Kirito that Quinellla was her twin sister I didn't understand the world anymore

because Cardinal is the mistress of the sacral arts

so she was programmed by RATH but Quinella wasn't programmed by RATH

She is simply a product of the Fluctlights Quinella was born

but Cardinal was programmed Becauses of that i think that they arent twins

Here are more reasons:

Cardinal said that they were a marriage in the past and now listen carefully "and a girl was born"

stress is on "ONE" they would be twin sisters when she said "and two girls were born"

by not mentioning herself

you can draw the following conclusions:

They are not blood related twin sisters and if they are not blood related

they cannot be twin sisters at all.

Then why does Cardinall say she's Quinella's twin sister?

In my opinion, there is only one logical explanation for this The reason why Cardinall think that they are twins is

that they both have similar abilities Because of that Cardinall sees Quniella as her twin sister

That would make sense

Cardinal is mistress over the sacral arts and Quinella is the administrator

who logically can use all the sacral arts but I think Quinella can do a bit more than Cardinal

what exactly I don't know except that she can connect with the real world

but I think she's not aware of that because no matter how strong or godlike an anime character

he is or she would never realize that he was created by the author

In this case Rath is the author and Quinella is the characters created by the author

the 2D - 3D principle

In summary, I believe that the current state of Kirito is Kikuokas fault

the AI will be either a robot attack or a cyber attack

And Quinella and Cardinall arent sisters

What do you think ? Do you agree with me ? Write it in the comments

I'm so hyped of 2019 there are many sequels coming out in winter it's Mob psycho, Kakegurui

and Date a Live In the Spring season Attack on titan , One Punch man and Bungou stray dogs

and later in the year Boku no hero Academia , Haikyuu!!

and Made in Abbys; Food wars hasn't been made public yet but I think

that's going to come out this year too it would be awful if it come out in 2020

Jo that was it with the video if you liked the video then leave a like and a subscription there

and turn on the bell I hope you had a good Hiraishin no jutsu in the new year ,

Baltimore Ravens for the silver trophy.

The Ravens enter with arguably

the greatest single season defense of all-time,

with Marvin Lewis' unit allowing

just 165 points throughout Y2K.

But their pass D, though still extremely good,

was certainly buoyed by a cupcake schedule

of opposing QBs and isn't totally unassailable.

Collins had a disappointing first

5 years in the NFL, but this season

the lightbulb went on and he broke out.

He comes to Tampa having just completely

torched the Vikings in the NFC Championship demolition,

joining Kurt Warner as the only guys

to have topped 350 passing yards

and 5 scores in a playoff game.

He'd ride that momentum into...each

of his first two passes nearly getting

picked by Ravens strong safety Kim Herring.

His next pass, from the lip of his

own endzone, also nearly picked.

This time by cornerback Chris McAlister.

For those scoring at home, that's

3 passes, 3 near-interceptions.

He then managed to connect with

Ike Hilliard for what would be their

only play that produced a fresh set

of downs across their opening 7 drives.

At which point, Collins was just

3 of 13 for 17 yards, this Jamie Sharper

pick off a Ray Lewis deflection,

and at least 5 other balls that a Raven got his mitts on.

Finally, on drive number 8, New York

managed to cross midfield for the very first time.

However, this being uncharted waters,

it spooked Collins into throwing

yet another pass that easily could have

been picked by Lewis on their first

snap in enemy territory.

Later, down 10-0 with a minute left

in the first half and the Giants

in position to make it a one score game

at intermission, Collins inexplicably

threw into tight double coverage,

providing the nicest gift a McAlister

had gotten since Kevin scored that sweet Talkboy.

But wait, we still got 30 more minutes

of Collins pooping the bed, and

to bestow some lovely symmetry

to the viewers at home, Kim Herring,

the same man who nearly picked Collins

on each of his first 2 passes of the game,

actually closed the deal this time

to kill the Giants' opening second half drive.

All he could manage the rest of

the third quarter was a pair of

three-and-outs, featuring another pass

Lewis could have snagged, sandwiched around

this backbreaking, pile of slop pass

that Duane Starks returned for 6 the other way.

The final quarter was just academic.

A couple more three-and-outs, and his

67th and 68th near-picks put this one to bed,

but not before solidifying Collins'

ignominy in Super Bowl lore.

Of the Giants' 15 meaningful offensive drives,

13 ended with either a Collins interception

or a three-and-out, and lest you notice

the positive integer beside the NYG

on the scoreboard and think he made

something happen on one of the other

couple drives, fear not: they were punts too.

Those points stem from the kick return

following that pick 6.

The offense was completely goose-egged.

In fact, Big Blue ran just 3 offensive plays

the entire game that were even in Raven territory.

They were a dropped pick, a pick, and a sack.

It was such an unmitigated disaster that

by comparison, it let some of the other

rotten performances smell just a little rosier,

and there have been plenty of them

in the annals of Super Bowl history.

Like each of Thurman Thomas' games against Dallas.

Take your pick between Super Bowl XXVII and

his 15 touches for 29 yards with a lost fumble,

or a year later when he barely topped

2 yards a carry and twice coughed the ball away.

There are a couple right tackles

that tried their damnedest to be

the subject of this video too.

Max Lane, getting taken behind the woodshed

by Reggie White over and over and

over again, throughout Super Bowl XXXI,

and Mike Remmers getting used as

Von Miller's personal turnstile in Super Bowl 50,

allowing the chicken farmer to set up camp

in Carolina's backfield, with 2 1/2 sacks

and a couple forced fumbles.

The first put the Panthers in a quick 10 point hole.

The second was the dagger, ensuring

Cam Newton couldn't orchestrate

a game-winning touchdown drive.

And if I may cheat because it's so

hard to just pick one, Bronco quarterbacks.

Throughout Denver's eight Super Bowl trips,

starting QBs Craig Morton, John Elway,

and Peyton Mannning combine to barf

out a passer rating of 53.5.

Congrats Broncos, across your half

season on Super Sunday, you're

basically quarterbacked by Ryan Leaf.

But this was a masterpiece of ineptitude so beautiful,

even Van Gogh would be moved to tears.

Collins' 39 passes on the evening

yielded a pitiful 112 yards.

Wanna know how rare it was to throw

that much and fail to crack 3 yards a pop?

Literally unprecedented.

A quarterback had thrown that much in a game

over 22 hundred times, and this was

the lowest mark from any of them,

let alone just the Super Bowl.

Throw in those 4 picks that he's

lucky weren't way more, and his

passer rating was utterly hideous.

Even in the context of facing that

legendary Ravens' defense, every other

quarterback that played those same Ravens

that year, generated a way better

passer rating than that of Collins.

Even though most of them were, to put it kindly,

unfit to ever step on an NFL field

unless they decided to become a

member of the chain gang.

Including the playoffs, there were

259 games played in the 2000 season.

That means of the 518 outings

put forth by starting quarterbacks that year,

514 posted a higher passer rating than Collins did,

in the biggest game of his life.

This was a performance so dreadful,

so thoroughly repulsive, that whenever

Giants rookie O-coordinator Sean Payton

called a pass play, they would have been

better of if Collins just spiked the ball,

or took a knee every damn time, which I could do.

And if you can't outperform me?

Next time maybe just stay the hell home.

A Pastor Told Me I Was Spreading The Devil's Work Through My Music | Rosendale | Kollab SF - Duration: 3:07.

I feel like you don't see a lot of mainstream artists that are both LGBT and Asian American and

I think those are both two groups that are like kind of up and coming and

To be part of both of those communities feels unique and it also kind of feels like

I don't really know anybody who's the same as I am.

I'm Rosendale, I'm a singer, songwriter and YouTuber from San Francisco.

When I was a kid, I used to do these karaoke parties with my parents

And ever since then I have been singing and after I graduated from college I started doing songwriting.

My parents weren't that supportive because I wasn't getting a lot of views and plays on my music

and on the videos I was posting and when I quit my job as a tax accountant

I quit cold turkey and I didn't really have a good idea on how I was going to start making money

After I started gaining some traction and people started subscribing to my channel

I think they were like "Oh okay. Maybe he has something in the works."

So they started being a lot more supportive after that.

My song Divine was basically inspired by a pastor and the message that she sent me.

She found me on Facebook and she had watched some of my YouTube videos and her message said

"Your music is spreading the work of the devil."

I was kind of taken aback by that message and I really wanted to come up with kind of like my own

Witty comeback to what she said

I just started brainstorming ideas for a song and the first lyrics that I wrote were basically

Let every pastor speak Let every preacher preach

Don't matter what they say Our love is here to stay

The song is basically trying to spread this message that it's important to be yourself

and it's important to be true to who you are and who you love regardless of what people say.

I would say I am a songwriter and singer first; production kind of came second to me when I started making

YouTube videos and YouTube covers.

A lot of the times I get really inspired when a producer will send me a track and that kind of gives me a basis

on how I can structure a song and what it should be about because when you're listening to

somebody else's work you kind of get inspired with your own images that might not necessarily be

what the initial artist's ideas were but you kind of get inspired in your own way

And it just gives you like a foundation on how you're going to structure your song and your lyrics.

Do you want me to look in the camera when I respond? Okay.

Sorry can you ask me the question one more time? [Laughing]

Sorry I'm just gonna quickly dab in between questions.

Feel free to cut this in if you want! [Laughing]

How Powerful Was The Akkadian Empire? - Duration: 10:18.

what's cracking it's your boi ash here for VC3 productions today we're going to

be talking about the Sumerians and the Akkadian Empire so unfortunately we're

not going to be talking about the Anunnaki and ancient aliens but we are

going to be talking about one of the earliest developed civilisations

Intro

The Sumerian civilisation known as Sumer and the Akkadian Empire both started in the

land of Mesopotamia the land between two rivers the Tigris and Euphrates it's

hard to say which was the first true civilisation in history because many

flourished around the world at roughly the same time and they were almost

always next to rivers or coastal areas from the Egyptians along the Nile to

China next to the Yellow River the Indus River Valley Civilisation Notre Chico in

coastal Peru and a little later the Olmec's next to the Coatzacoalcos

these rivers provided fresh water places to hunt and fish and they often flooded

the lands around them depositing rich fertile soil which was great for growing

crops and other foods unlike the Nile or Indus Valley the

Tigris and Euphrates were difficult to navigate and flooded unpredictably this

meant a lot of slaves were needed to constantly improve irrigation systems

within Mesopotamia they needed to create dams to hold back the floods they put

canals to channel river waters of the fields and built pools to store the

water with agriculture the constant need to hunt and gather food was relinquished

and trade arose this eventually culminated into the first cities people

came closer together food surpluses were created and gave rise to governments

organised religion and rulers who could supply protection with the military the

Sumerian civilisation gave us the earliest archaeological records of

writing in the form of cuneiform their writing was illustrated on clay tablets

for record-keeping laws and literature one of these was the Epic of Gilgamesh a

tale loosely based on the historical King Gilgamesh who ruled the Sumerian

city of Uruk the epic poem is regarded as the earliest surviving great work

literature they also pioneered the wheel astronomy the kiln the plough irrigation

bronze working and mathematics in Sumer cities were similar in culture but were

not united these city-states were all independent and they each had their own

protective deity often or not a city-state could become a vassal of

another because they often fought for control and power in these early cities

houses were clustered together the streets were narrow and it was really

crowded there wasn't a plentiful source of timber in Mesopotamia so these houses

were typically made out of mud brick and baked in the sun to harden it is

estimated that around 5,000 to 50,000 people lived within a typical Sumer

city-state roughly around 30 city-states are known to us today through

archaeological evidence the most active cities during Sumer were Ur Uruk

Lagash Nipper Kish Umma Larsa Eridu and Isin each city had a temple known

as a ziggurats and these were the centre of both religion and learning like most

civilisations their gods and goddesses have supernatural powers but their gods

aren't as well known as other cultures like you probably haven't heard of the

god Enki but you will remember Thor with his great hammer or Ganesha with his

elephant face Mesopotamia gods tended to be pretty mean and violent much like the

Tigris and Euphrates priests were seen as people who could please these gods

and became important figures within the Sumerian world however the power of

Kings would soon replace them in the 24th century BC a man by the name of

Lugal Zage Si came to the throne of Umma and assumed the title of Ensi of Umma

A Sumerian word meaning Lord of the lowland he ascended to a period of

endless warfare between his neighbouring city-states through determination and

skill he conquered his great rival city of Lagash killing its king Urukagina

and forcing his rule upon the city like others before him he used and developed

a system of warfare known as the Phalanx formation each soldier had each other's

backs so the opponents couldn't get close

enough to kill equipped with the long spear a body length shield and

Fitness soldiers could quickly turn near end to victory

Lugal Zage Si gradually brought together the surrounding city states within Sumer

through conquest and diplomacy eventually making the city of Uruk his

capital he even moved his army to the important city of Kish overthrowing its

king Ur Zababa and brought all of Sumer under one rule however his reign

was short lived as a new foreign subjugater came to take his place this

foreigner was the Akkadian Sargon of Akkad through long drawn-out battles

Sargon would usurp Lugal Zage Si and be the first to hold the title emperor in the

later Babylonian versions of Sargon's inscriptions Sargon of Akkad is said to

have captured Lugal Zage Si after destroying the Wars of Uruk he then had

a chain placed around his neck and was led through the holy city of Nipper and

EnLil's temple as a sign of his shame by all accounts Sargon of Akkad was a

self-made man who came to unite all of Mesopotamia into one unified Empire

Sargon was a person of non Sumerian descent and is said to have been cut

bearer to the previous king of Kish Ur Zababa his heritage stemmed from somatic

nomads from the Arabian Peninsula though it is important to note the term somatic

refers to a language group the birth of Sargon is shrouded in mystery as there

are no valid sources that can ascertain to the reality of his background however

there are many stories and accounts after its death in one Moses like legend

he is described as an illegitimate son of a priestess who placed him in a

basket and launched him down the Euphrates a Sumerian Gardner came across

the basket and raised him as his own upon Sargon's victory over Lugal Zage Si

And his conquest of Uruk he is said to have launched campaigns into

Elam and Mari stretching his Empire from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf

the Nipper inscriptions also talk of his army of 5400 men who were entertained

and fed bread daily after all his conquests Sargon went about establishing

a centralized government forging official documents in both his native

language Akkadian as well as Marian while he did allow accumulated

cities to retain their original rulers it was Akkadian's who were placed in

positions of high status and importance his daughter was made the High Priestess

of the goddess Inanna and the moon-god Nana she was ordered to mix the gods of

Akkadian's and Sumerians as a way to merge the two cultures into a whole united people

Sargon is said to have continued trade

with the lands of Dillmun Magan and Meluhha and he founded a dynasty that

would last many years after his death although many of the city-states Sargon

and Conquered were unhappy with their forced integration and quickly revolted

after his death his sons fought off these rebellions throughout their reign

and both met their deaths with assassination but the next king Narmer

Sin lived up to his grandfather's reputation as he did manage to subdue

these rebellions he spent much of his life for military campaigns and began to

detail himself as a god this may possibly have bought about the Empire's

destruction because he died and his son failed to keep faith in the throne the

Empire began to collapse as nomadic people known as the Gutians raided and

invaded from the Zagros mountains sacking the capital city of Akkad

burning it to the ground so much so that has never been found

Sargon's contribution to the ancient world made him one of the most

fascinating figures of history the world's first leader of an empire paving

the way for all those after eventually the Gutians ruled as warlords for

about a century before the rise once again of the Sumerians and the founding

of the great Neo Sumerian Empire it was Utu Hengal of Uruk who rose up

against the Gutian's and gained Sumerians their independence once again but it was

the next king Ur Namu who restored order completely and conquered outside the

traditional Sumerian lands however the Empire was short-lived as a

shadow of invasions rapidly spread these invasions came from the amorites and the

Elamites causing their empire to collapse into

city-states once again out of these city-states one largely

irrelevant city would later grow and expand its influence

this city was Babylon and we'll be looking at Babylon next week the early

Sumerian city-states in the Akkadian Empire may not have been the largest or

the longest lasting but they were the first in many things so we're going to

give the Akkadian Empire a score of six and the Neo Sumerian you are getting a

score of three okay so let us know what you think remember to like and subscribe

if you haven't already and thanks for watching

2018 was a year of great relationships in games - Duration: 8:38.

This was a divisive year for video game news.

But far and away the most important news was Bioware's announcing that Anthem won't

have romanceable NPCs.

It's like what's even the point of video games if they're not sublimating my need

for intimacy with humans?

But as it turns out, 2018 was a pretty good year for relationships too.

A fact I'm proving by coercing all my coworkers into joining this video with me.

One of my favorite relationships in games this year was Kratos and Atreus in God of

War.

They sort of had this Hank and Bobby Hill dynamic going on that's super relatable for

anyone who has a father figure who maybe you feel is gruffer and more experienced and tougher

and more world weary than you'll ever be.

It's not Atreus learning to be his father.

It's Atreus learning to be better than his father.

And it's about Kratos as his dad looking at his son and the things he can do and is good

at and saying "Okay, this is my son, my son doesn't need to be me, and maybe my son shouldn't

be me."

Parenting isn't just a one-sided relationship.

Both people in there have some sense of agency.

And I don't personally know that fatherhood is complicated, but I do know being a son

is complicated, and this game gets that pretty right.

I'm talking about a relationship that has always been very important to me, which is

the relationship between a trainer and their pokemon.

In Pokemon Let's Go, you play as a trainer, which we've all done many times over the last

20 years.

And you're accompanied by a partner pokemon.

Which again, we've always had one.

But for the first time in any pokemon game, your partner is actually following you around,

to the point where it does everything for you.

They can even fly for you, they can surf for you, they can move boulders for you. They really

can do anything you need them to do.

And it's really just because they're your friend.

Surely there are reasons they can fly beyond the power of friendship, but that is how strong

friendship is to the core of this game.

They're not just collectibles or battle objects.

Pokemon have always been your friend, but

In Pokemon Let's Go, they finally feel like it.

Pika pika... pikachu!

Donut County's main relationship was tense, given that BK was responsible for destroying

Mira's neighborhood.

And that's what makes it so important.

Mira struggles to get BK — and by extension, the player — to understand how his casual

selfishness destroyed people's lives.

She doesn't let him off the hook and, although it takes him awhile, he eventually understands

the impact of his actions.

If you've never been counseled about something regrettable you've said, you're either

perfect or you don't have friends who care enough about you to hold you accountable for

your bullshit.

But we all need to practice being faced with our flaws.

Donut County gave us a great model of a friendship that has room for compassionate criticism

and empathy.

Instead of talking about the actually relationship that Florence the game is about, I'm going

to talk about the relationship between Florence and her mom, one that spans from before the

romantic relationship even starts and - well, spoilers - continues beyond.

Very early on in the game, when we're getting a feeling for how hum-drum and boring Florence's

life is, there's a minigame about a call with her mother where you pick between two dialogue

options.

It doesn't really matter which dialogue option you pick, as they're both pretty

standard and limited.

The instinct is to just speed past it to get to the "real" story, which parallels Florence

going on autopilot in regards to her own relationship with her mom.

Even when Florence is happy in her relationship, this continues.

After the break-up, she turns to her mother and it's not the same sort of tap-tap mechanic.

Florence opens up to her mom.

The end chapters show glimpses of them together and the final sequence starts with Florence

standing with her mom and they're embracing and smiling -- returning to and building up

their relationship isn't the only factor to Florence's happiness, but it is an important

one.

Simone: I played Vincent...

Jenna: and I played Leo Simone: In "A Way Out," which is a split-screen,

co-op game where the perspective shifts depending on whose story is taking the forefront.

Jenna: I think they thing that I took away from the game most is how much it replicates

actually us becoming friends playing it together.

Simone: It did!

It did!

So throughout the whole game, Vincent and Leo are escaping from prison, each with their

own motivations, and trying to evade the law in fun ways!

Like stealing clothes, and...

Jenna: we played Connect Four.

Simone: Playing baseball.

Jenna: We had a makeover sequence.

Simone: I played basketball with your son.

Jenna: We destroyed a cop car.

Simone: We broke out of prison.

Jenna: We killed some people! Simone: And they have a lot of really great

conversations.

Like relationship advice conversations that are devoid of macho posturing.

Simone: It felt like we were building a real, genuine friendship- in the game as well as

in our lives.

Jenna: And nothing about the game changed that.

Simone: Nothing about the game ruined that at all.

Whoa, girl! Easy, now.

Arthur Morgan interacts with a lot of people in Red Dead Redemption 2.

But there is no relationship in the game that's more meaningful than the one between Arthur

and his horse.

I treated my horse with as much care as I would another human being — nay, more care.

I brushed its coat so it glistened in the midday sun.

I regularly patted it to show my appreciation for a strenuous ride.

I fed it a steady diet of oatcakes and hay, with the occasional sugar cube as a treat.

Like horses, I like sweet treats, and I decided to name most of my steeds after them.

Cookie and Salted Caramel for two brownish horses.

The beautiful white Arabian horse, Marshmallow.

Here's how much I cared about my virtual horses in Red Dead Redemption 2.

When I tamed my first horse in the wild and made it my own by moving my saddle to it,

I realized that poor old Cookie was left there, standing in the cold.

At the time I didn't know that there was a command available in the game to have horses

follow you, or that if you lasso'd them, they.... stayed lasso'd.

You didn't have to hold the L2 button down the whole time.

I lasso'd Cookie.

And I held the L2 button the ENTIRE way for the ride back to the stable.

'Cause I couldn't bear to lose my Cookie.

Whitney Houston: And I--

Celeste's best relationship comes from Madeline and her own personified self-doubt, also known

as Badeline.

Media has gotten better at dealing with mental illness in the last few years, but this is

the first time I've seen a video game that actually has a shadow version of yourself

that isn't purely antagonistic.

In Ocarina of Time's water temple, you aren't ask to sit down and have a conversation with

Link's dark self.

You're just asked to destroy him.

The truth about all mental illness - anxiety, depression, what have you - is that when you

try to destroy it, it just makes you feel worse about yourself.

In Celeste, Madeline takes the time to understand her inner demons - her worries, her anxieties,

all of the anger and nihilism that comes with difficult moments in your life.

And she chooses to accept them instead of avoiding them outright.

Or killing them.

In the end, she's stronger for it.

Literally, she can double-dash.

Sure, this doesn't cure her, and it doesn't make the path ahead any less filled with spikes.

But Celeste shows that it's much easier to face your obstacles in life when you aren't

fighting yourself at the same time.

Wow.

It seems like the real treasure...

Allegra: Your pokemon will always love you.

Petrana: Florence opens up to her mom.

Pat: Fatherhood is complicated!

Samit: Because I couldn't bear to lose my Cookie.

Jenna: ...was the friendships we made along the way.

... how did that feel to everybody?

Simone: I'm holding back tears...

[clap]

When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars (Sebastian Moy Cover) - Duration: 3:41.

Same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now

Our song on the radio but it don't sound the same

When our friends talk about you

All it does is just tear me down

My heart breaks a little

When I hear your name

It all just sounds like

Ooooooooo

Mmmm

Too young, too dumb to realize

That I should've bought you flowers

And held your hand

Should've gave you all my hours

When I had the chance

Take you to every party

Cause' all you wanted to do was dance

Now my baby's dancing

But she's dancing with another man

My pride, my ego, my needs and my selfish ways

Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out my life

Now I never! never get to clean up the mess I made

Oh

And it haunts me

Every time I close my eyes

It all just sounds like

Oooooooooo

Mmmmm

Too young, too dumb to realize

That I should've bought you flowers

And held your hand

Should've gave you all my hours

When I had the chance

Take you to every party

'Cause all you wanted to do was dance

Now my baby's dancing

But she's dancing with another man

Although it hurts

I'll be the first to say that...

I was wrong

Ohh, I know I'm probably much too late

To try and apologize for my mistakes, but I just want you to know...

I hope he buys you flowers

I hope he holds your hand

Give you all his hours

When he has the chance

Takes you to every party

'Cause I remember how much you loved to dance

Do all the things I should have done

When I was your man

Do all the things I should have done

When I was your man
