Advice on How to Make the Transition from Paraprofessoinal Educator to Full-time Teacher - Duration: 1:28.I am a kindergarten resource teacher, and I work in a lot of county and public schools.
And I love it.
I like to get to know my students as well as figure out what learning styles work best
for them.
But just seeing what I could bring to the table kind of lit a fire under me that I needed
to push to be a teacher where I could implement that more than a paraprofessional, where I
was just following what the teacher had said.
My degree definitely helped fill in some gaps.
It's not like any educational experience I've ever had before.
I loved the full online immersion of the school.
I took full advantage of that, and I completed eight classes a term, and I was able to very
smoothly transition from paraprofessional to a teaching position this school year.
I get to interact with these kids in a completely different atmosphere.
I'm the teacher, not just a staff member or just an assistant in the room.
I'm the person that can stand up for the kids and defend them if they need defending, advocate
for them on their behalf, helping figure out what they need to succeed - whereas as a paraeducator,
I had input, but it only went so far.
It's definitely a struggle transitioning from paraeducator to full-time teacher, but it's
completely worth it.

How To Make Fried Rice Easy - Duration: 4:36.hi guys today we will learn how to make fried rice the main ingredient is rice
for Chinese style we usually use Jasmine rice because it has very nice
fragrance so I have cooked one and a half cup of rice loosen the rice which
will make the cooking process easier you can either use freshly cooked rice or
left over rice as long as the rice is not too soft or moist actually using
freshly cooked rice will make the fried rice more aromatic
heat the stove in high heat as we will use stir-fry method during the whole
process heat up the wok add about 1 TSP of cooking now we gonna stir-fry the
vegetables and meat first here I have 1/2 cup of onion stir fry for 30
seconds to release aroma basically you can use any vegetables you want
just see what you have left in your fridge and then use them I also have a cup of mixed
vegetables combine it with the onion and stir fry for about 1 minute to release aroma
then set aside I also have some ham left in the fridge so I gonna add it
in the fried rice as well you can use any kind of meat you like just remember to
dice it or cut it into thin slices to ensure that it will be cooked through in the brief cooking time
then set aside. great now it comes to the main part
we gonna stir fry the rice heat up the wok and then add about 2 tablespoons of
oil we need a bit more oil so that the rice will not stick on the wok spread
the oil around the wok to make sure the cooking surface is coated with oil then
we add the eggs here I have 3 eggs every 1/2 cup of rice we use one egg we have
one and a half cup of rice so we use three eggs when the eggs is half cooked then
we add the rice then we quickly mix the uncooked eggs with the rice to make sure
each pieces is coated with some eggs it takes around 1 to 2 minutes
you see now the rice has got golden color each rice is coated with some eggs
it's beautiful isn't it if you find the rice still stick together use a spatula
to press the rice then stir-fry again do it a few times the rice should be more loosen
keep stir-fry until you can feel the texture of the rice get drier and also
you can smell very nice aroma from the rice it takes a few minutes
bring up the rice and shake a bit it should look like raining and that means they are not
sticking to each other then it is good if you want to have it more crunchy on
crispier you can stir fry for a bit longer time for me now the texture is perfect
here comes to the last step combine with the vegetables and meat
add some sauce when we add the soy sauce we add it from the side of the wok and
then combine it very quickly stir fry for about 1 to 2 minutes to let the rice to
absorb all the flavors from the ingredients
then this is ready very easy isn't it
you don't need any special skills at all to make very good fried rice at home
I have also written some tips in the description box have a look and make some good fried rice
remember to subscribe my channel thanks for watching I'll see you next time

Yuna Lee, How to make Bubble Tea - Duration: 5:36.Hey guys! It's Yuna.
So today, we're going to be making taro bubble tea and milk bubble tea.
So the ingredients you will need are: tapioca pearls, sugar, and milk.
For the taro bubble tea, you'll need taro powder and for the milk bubble tea, you'll need some green tea.
So let's get started!
So first, we're going to have to get the green tea ready.
So we're going to take this, and we're going to add some hot water.
So leave that aside.
And next, we are going to have to add the tapioca pearls into the boiling water.
So the water is boiling and I have my tapioca pearls here so we're going to add them in.
So I'm going to add this in and it should be about 4 tablespoons.
One
Two
Three
Four tablespoons.
Two for each drink.
Cook it for 3 minutes on medium heat.
So I'm going to set the timer for 3 minutes.
So the timer just rang, so we're going to turn the heat off.
Now we're going to let it sit for 2 minutes.
The timer just rang for 2 minutes. So now we're going to take the lid off.
"Whoo"
And then we're going to dump this into here.
So now we're going to add this into the cold water.
I'm going to stir that up.
Leave it in there for like 10 seconds.
And now we're going to add this into here again.
So that just the water is going through the drain.
And now I'm going to add the tapioca pearls into this bowl.
So now that the tapioca pearls are done,
I'm going to start making the drink.
So I'm going to start off with the milk bubble tea.
I'm going to add the green tea we prepared earlier.
Then I'm going to add the milk and it is the same amount of the green tea.
There you have it. And then now I'm going to add ¼ teaspoon of sugar
And mix it all together.
So we're going to leave that aside and we're going to get ready to make the taro drink.
So for the taro drink,
we're going to need a blender so I have this cup right here.
And in here, were going to add 2 glasses of this
milk.
So one
and two.
Next we're going to add 5 tablespoons of the taro powder.
So one
Two
Three
Four
And pretty sure it's five.
Next we're going to add ¼ teaspoon of sugar.
And we're going to blend that.
Let's blend!
So it should be done.
So now I'm going to grab this glass and we're gonna transfer it.
Be careful and transfer it.
That should be enough.
So now let's get ready to add the tapioca pearls in.
So now it's time to add the ice and the tapioca pearls in.
So we're going to add them in
one by one.
So now we're going to add the ice in.
"Whoo-oops"
That should be enough.
Now we're going to add the straws in.
And mix them up.
So I like to pair my bubble tea with some popcorn.
So if you like this video,
please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.
And let me know in the comments down below if you've ever had bubble tea or not.
Thanks for watching! Bye!

What to Do At Your Super Bowl Party If You Don't Like Football || Foodcasting - Duration: 4:34.- Ah yes.
Super Bowl Sunday.
Touchdowns, halftime shows, pig skins, all that stuff.
The day when everyone you know has to watch a sport on TV.
So, what do you do if you're not into football
and you definitely don't wanna be one of those people
that pretends to follow the sport
just one day out of the year?
It's gonna be okay.
You're gonna get through it.
This is a survival guide for those of us who
just really don't give a [bleep] about the Super Bowl.
First and foremost, start drinking.
The very cool thing about Super Bowl Sunday
is that football equals beer.
Do you usually spend your Sunday
busy with self-care rituals and meal prep
and other responsibilities?
Do you go to bed early with a good book
so you could get a fresh start to the week?
Well, not today.
Not today.
Super Bowl Sunday is a free pass to drink all day long
on a school night.
Worried about being hungover or unproductive
at work the next day?
Well, guess what?
So is everyone else.
So, crack a brew nice and early
and treat yourself.
Are you jealous because everyone around you
watching the game is super excited
and you're just kinda meh?
Well, there are ways for non-sports fans to get in
on the fun.
Not to be totally fixated on booze,
but how about a drinking game?
Set the rules before you get to the party.
For example,
Take a sip of beer every time someone curses at the TV.
"You stupid (bleep)!"
Finish your drink every time someone makes a touchdown.
Take a shot whenever fireworks go off.
Whatever you want.
It could be stuff you see on TV,
it could be things happening around you
and you can tailor it to your situation.
Got a buddy who yells at the ref?
"Come on! That was holding!"
Holding's a thing, right?
Shotgun a beer every time he does it.
Okay, onto the food
because a lot of people think that football is lame
but everybody loves food.
If you're going to a party remember
that most people are just gonna bring store bought stuff
'cause they're more focused on the game.
This is your time to shine.
Make something from scratch, have fun with it.
Did you know making dips is super easy
and only takes a few ingredients?
Mix these together
for a delicious, easy, no-cook Super Bowl crowd pleaser.
Recipe number one!
Lazy Tzatziki.
Start with two cups of Greek yogurt
and squeeze in the juice of half a lemon
or a whole lemon if you want it super acidic.
Add a heavy glug of olive oil,
about a quarter cup,
and a half a cup of chopped, fresh dill.
A little salt, a little pepper,
mix it with a spoon and you're good to go.
Kinda like Tzatziki's simpler cousin.
I'm Greek, trust me, you'll like it.
Recipe two.
Vegan Queso.
So, two cups of cashews for a few hours.
Maybe, overnight if you remember the night before.
Strain out the water
and toss the nuts in a food processor.
With one Chipotle in Adobo, one clove of garlic
and the juice of a lime.
Pulse until smooth and that's it.
Recipe three.
Hummus!
The food processor does all the work on this one too.
Strain a can of chickpeas
and dump them in the food processor.
With a tablespoon of tahini, a garlic clove, lemon juice,
olive oil, and salt and pepper.
Pulse 'till creamy and it's ready.
If you're having all this fun making these dips
and you truly wanna enjoy Super Bowl Sunday?
Call me crazy
but I think you should host a Super Bowl party.
Hear me out on this.
Having all your friends in one room is super dope,
but having to watch TV the whole time kinda sucks.
Maybe you'd rather be hosting?
While everyone is watching TV,
you could be restocking the booze bucket,
baking off some nachos
and sipping on all that delicious booze
that your friends brought over.
It's a fun way to keep busy and avoid the game.
Just think about it.
But most importantly,
whether you're playing a drinking game
or you're making some dank appetizers
or you're hosting a get together?
Keep your eyes peeled for fellow non-football enthusiasts.
They do exist!
You may feel like everyone in the country loves football
but you on that day but you'd be surprised.
Just ask around.
You may find some other anti-football friends at the party
to share in your sorrow and make it more fun.
So enjoy the wings and the drinks.
And if all else fails?
Just learn a few key phrases to make people think
that you know what you're talking about.
"Blue 42, set!
"Hike!"
I'm Lee Kalpakis and that was "Foodcasting."

How to Make Cheesecake - Duration: 8:08.Hey everyone, Sam here from Sugar Spun Run and today I'm showing you how to make my favorite, creamy, homemade cheesecake.
I am so excited to be sharing my all favorite homemade cheesecake recipe with you today.
This recipe only calls for a few simple ingredients. It's made entirely from scratch, and there is no waterbath required.
To get started, you will want to preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next, we are going to make our graham cracker crust. Now this is really simple.
We are going to start with 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs.
and stir in two tablespoons of granulated sugar.
and one tablespoon of packed light brown sugar. Just use your spoon to break up that sugar a little bit.
The brown sugar might try to clump so you want that evenly distributed.
Now we will add 7 tablespoons of melted butter.
Make sure to get all of that in there.
And we will just stir that together until all of that butter is incorporated in the graham cracker mixture.
It should have a kind of wet, sandy texture when you are finished.
This looks pretty good, so we are going to add this to a 9 inch spring form pan.
Now I am just going to use a clean measuring cup and use this to evenly tamp down the bottom .of the crust and also to just pack in the sides
so they are nice and compact and they are not going to just crumble when you cut into your cheesecake.
I also like to go around the side of the graham cracker crust, just with my fingers just to pack that down a little bit.
and again just make it less likely that the sides are going to crumble when you cut into this cheesecake.
So our cheesecake crust is prepped at this point, we are just going to set it aside. We don't need to prebake it or anything, just set it aside.
and now I am going to move over to my stand mixer to make the cheesecake filling. If you don't have a stand mixer, you can just use
an electric hand mixer. So we are going to start with 32 ounces or 4 8 oz bricks of cream cheese.
and you do want this to be bricks of cream cheese. Don't buy the spreadable stuff that is in the tub.
I also really recommend using all room temperature ingredients. This is one of the things that can help keep your cheesecake from cracking while it bakes.
So I like to set out my cream cheese and my eggs a couple of hours before I begin baking.
So I am going to add this to the bowl of my stand mixer.
Now we are going to stir this cream cheese on a low speed, just until it is creamy.
This is going to help get rid of any lumps that could form, but you do not want to do this on high speed.
You don't want to whip this together, one of the biggest things when making cheesecake, is you don't want to over-mix the batter.
If you do, you will incorporate a lot of air and you will end up with a cheesecake full of cracks, just keep it nice and slow.
Since our cream cheese was already softened to room temperature, it doesn't take much to get that nice and smooth.
So now we are going to add one cup of granulated sugar. I like to add this gradually while I have the mixer on low speed.
and we will just stop about half way so we can scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, because we want that sugar and cream cheese to be nicely combined.
We will also add 2./3 cups of sour cream which is going to give this cheesecake a great rich flavor.
At this point, we will also add 1 1/2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract.
and just 1/8 teaspoon of salt, and now stir these together until just combined.
You want the sour cream to be nicely incorporated, but again don't over-do it.
We will get the sides and bottom of the bowl again
So you want to make sure your mixture is smooth at this point and there are no lumps.
Make sure you work out any lumps in your batter before we add our eggs, which we are going to do in just a minute.
Our cheesecake batter is looking pretty good, so we can add our eggs. We will need 4 large room temperature eggs,
for this cheesecake recipe, and the big thing here is you do not want to overbeat your mixture as you are adding these eggs.
We are going to stir them in gradually with the mixer on low speed, and to help incorporate them in the batter,
I am just going to lightly scramble each one with a fork before I add it to the batter.
We got that stirred up. We'll add this in.
and stir on low speed until just combined.
and we'll repeat that with our three remaining eggs
Again, I cannot overstate the importance of scraping the sides and bottom of your bowl while mixing everything together.
This is just about done, I am going to stir it just a few more seconds on low speed, and then we will be ready to pour it into our prepared springform pan.
I am just going to use my spatula to gently smooth over the top.
Now I have a pretty good spring form pan, mine never leaks, but I know not everybody is so lucky.
So one thing I like to do, just to safeguard against having a mess in your oven, is to just line a baking sheet, like a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
and then I will put my cheesecake on top of that, so if we have any spills, we are not going to have a mess to clean up.
You can just roll up the foil and throw it away.
Now we are going to bake our cheesecake in our 325 degree Fahrenheit preheated oven,
for about 65-75 minutes. What we are looking for when it's finished baking is the center will still be jiggly when you touch it,
but if you touch the top with your finger, it should be set, and the edge should begin to turn a light golden brown and they'll be puffed up a little bit.
When your cheesecake is finished baking, you are going to want to let it sit on top of your oven.
The reason I let it sit on top of my oven is because that is usually the warmest place in the house
It's going to make that process of cooling a lot more gradual. It's not going to all of the sudden be shocked by cold air.
It's going to help prevent any cracks.
Now let this sit for 10 minutes, and once 10 minutes has passed, you will want to use a knife to separate the crust from the side (the inside) of the spring form pan.
What this is going to do, is it's going to help keep this crust from sticking because your cheesecake is going to shrink a little bit as it cools,
and that can actually cause cracks in your cheesecake, deep crevices, if the crust is stuck to the pan.
So just use your knife to separate those two.
Now you will continue to let your cheesecake cool for another hour or two hours, or until it reaches room temperature.
You don't want to put it in the fridge until it's reached room temperature.
Once it has, it will go in the fridge, and let it sit there overnight, or at least for 6 hours.
until it cools completely.
Once your cheesecake has finished cooling, now we can dig in and serve.
and that is how you make my favorite homemade cheesecake. I really hope you love this recipe as much as I do.
If you try it out, please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

How To Elementor Import / Export Templates + What To Do When It Doesn't Work - Duration: 7:54.My favorite feature of Elementor is that it allows you to export page templates and
then you can move those to a different website and then import them, I'll show you how to do that in
this video for the latest version, but I mostly see what to do if you run into trouble in
the process were covering all of that in this video hi my name is Adam from WPCrafter.com
where I make WordPress tutorial videos for non-techies if you knew here, consider clicking on that
subscribe button and click on that notification belt this be a quick tutorial let's just jump
right on into it.
So here I am on a website where I have Elementor and in version 2.4 of Elementor.
They moved where these templates are nothing to stay here for a while.
Over there is various versions of Elementor.
It sort of moved so this is can be based on Elementor version 2.4.
Now there is a menu item here that says templates and then right here it says saved templates
just like that.
Now if you want to import a template.
All you have to do right here is click on import template and then choose it on your
computer.
But first let's create a template and then we will go through importing and then what
to do when you run into trouble.
So I'm in a go ahead and just create a brand-new templates and so many choose page and I'll
give it a name based phenomena.
Click on create template and it's going to create the template take me into Elementor
we just put some content in their arm and a click right here and I'll just choose one
of the free Elementor templates right here.
Okay, here is one out.
Click on insert it just can a download and put it in their and then I'll show you how
we can save this template and then start moving it around and I will do is just click on publish,
and then let's get outta here are click on the Hammacher icon top left click on exit
the dashboard and now when I click on save templates, you can see we actually have a
safe template now so to export this all we would have to do is hover over the templates
and then it's as export template mode.
Click on that.
It's gonna download a file to your computer so let's go ahead and see with that file looks
like.
So here it is right here.
It's is Elementor there is some date and time stamp.J so now you can actually rename this
to be whatever you want, so that makes sense to you.
So what I'll do here is I'm going to trash or delete this template right here and then
I'm going to go to import templates and then let's go ahead and drag that over there this
templates right there and then click on import now in this one will import fine and there's
another way to do this are click on add new and then I'll give it a page and I'll give
this a name what you fill this out.
Click on create template to take me into Elementor.
Let's click on the folder icon and then we have these options right here so right here
is an option to imports and here's also an option to save when you're inside of Elementor
like you do the same thing click right there and then let's just drag and drop that right
here and it's going to import fine and there is a could see, I've got it twice now and
then I can insert it into the page template so that's all fine and dandy but what happens
when you run into trouble.
Let me show you what that would end up looking like a click on import templates and working.
Instead, import this other template right here in a drag-and-drop it's a click on import
now and you're gonna see it says invalid file.
This is common and what the cause of this is is when you're using a template that is
was created with an older version of Elementor.
It might not import into the new version of Elementor.
There's a really easy fix for this so there's a couple moving parts to it though, so first
what we need to do is actually downgrade our Elementor to the version I find prior to version
2 so the latest version of Elementor one install that and then everything seems to import just
fine.
So the way you do this is you come to the Elementor plug-in the listing here in the
WordPress repository and then you need to click right here it says advanced view and
then what this is going to do is give some technical stats on Elementor, but the very
bottom, it gives us the option to download prior versions of Elementor.
She can see there been quite a lot of versions that have been released.
I would suggest getting version 1.9.8 which is the latest version of Elementor one most
up-to-date version of Elementor version once will click on that and then click on download
and it will download that to your computer and then let's get out of their Cisco back
into our website.
Now you have two ways of downgrading you can go to plug-ins and then you can disable and
delete Elementor than upload this older version, or there's another plug and I like to use
is called easy theme and plug-in upgrades.
What this will allow you to do is, even though a plug-in is installed, it will allow you
to install a plug-in over it.
This is one of my favorite plug-ins I use it on all of my websites someone to go to
plug-ins go to add new and then I'll do a quick search for that easy theme and plug-in
upgrades its right here and I will install this and activate this.
I find this is very convenient right here we go there we have it so now I can just install
that old version of Elementor.
No overwrite this more recent one summer click on add new upload plug-in and will do the
same thing here is that old version of Elementor drag-and-drop it right there.
Click on install.
Now it'll just take a moment and it will install and overwrite the old version and what's interesting
this templates menu item icon right here was not there in this older version of Elementor
searing to see that go away okay when it takes you to this screen.
It tells you that it did that.
It also makes an archive of what was overwritten into your media library so click on activate
plug-in and now you're gonna see run an older version of Elementor.
A blast from the past.
Here it is C 1.9.8 and there is update option to go back up to the latest version.
So now when I'm in a do is go to Elementor back then it was called my library and so
here it is my library, so go ahead and click on import templates.
I will go back to that old template right here that was given us the problem of drop
it right there.
Click on import now inuring to see what happened here it is.
It ended up importing it just fine.
So now go back to plug-ins and then I'll update to the latest version of Elementor and Juergen
to see were to get that templates menu icon right back.
I don't know why there some incompatibilities with the upgrades of Elementor, but I think
it's pretty minor.
I think any template made for for Elementor version of one you have to go through this
process okay so there we go.
It is updated so if I just refresh you.
Here we go.
We have templates and you can see there is that said template that it was having problems
importing before now it has imported just fine.

How to Make Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings - Duration: 6:11.Today on The Stay At Home Chef I'm showing you how to make crock pot
chicken and dumplings. This is an easy from scratch recipe for slow cooker
chicken and dumplings that is total comfort food/ To start you'll place
three boneless skinless chicken breasts into the bottom of a six to eight quart
slow cooker and you want to make sure the chicken breasts are trimmed of any
excess fat. Season those with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
Then we'll add in one diced white onion and you just want to use a small
white onion and three cloves of minced garlic. At this point you can also add in
some veggies so if you want to toss in a bag of frozen peas and carrots or slice
up some celery and carrots and add those in you definitely can but today we're
gonna leave it a little more traditional and just leave it as plain chicken and
dumplings. Then pour in 6 cups of low-sodium chicken broth so you can
control the salt content in this. Then we'll pop the lid and cook on low for
six to eight hours or on high for three to four. You want to cook it until the
chicken is easily shredded with a fork. Just before the time is up you want to
make the dough for your dumplings. The dumplings are really easy to make. You
need 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
and give this a quick stir before adding in 3/4 of a cup of
either milk or buttermilk and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. You want to
stir this in until it forms a dough ball. Once it forms a ball you want to pull it
out and knead it until the dough is smooth and everything is well mixed in
You can also do this in a food processor. Then we're gonna take a rolling pin and
roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it's about an eighth of an
inch thick. Try to roll it into a nice large rectangle then use a butter knife
to cut the dough into half by 1-inch strips, so half an inch wide one inch long.
You should end up with a nice little pile of dumplings. Set those aside
for a second and let's check on our chicken. You take the lid off real quick
and shred the chicken with some forks. Now you can also remove the chicken from
the crock pot and shred it on a cutting board if that's easier for you but I'm
gonna save myself the dishes. Then I want this to be a thick and creamy sauce so
I'm going to add two to three tablespoons of cornstarch to two cups of
milk. Use three tablespoons if you want it even thicker or two tablespoons if
you want it a little thinner. Whisk that in and then we'll pour this into the
slow cooker with the chicken. Give it a quick stir then we'll grab our dumplings
and add those in to the slow cooker. You want to make sure that they end up
covered with a liquid so that they can cook so it helps if you grab a spoon
and stir them in. Then we'll pop the lid back on and cook on high for one hour
After an hour your dumplings will be cooked through and you are ready to eat.
