Après des années de mensonge, l'étau se resserre de plus en plus autour de Gabriel dans Plus belle la vie.
Le médecin n'a que trop longtemps caché son histoire d'amour avec Thomas à ses parents, qui s'imaginent toujours que leur fils est en ménage avec une femme prénommée Anita.
Une situation qui a amené Thomas à quitter Gabriel et à embrasser Eric, le policier.
Pour reconquérir son homme et sauver sa famille, Gabriel a d'abord annoncé à son père qu'il était gay... mais son paternel ayant abusé de l'alcool, il a cru à une blague.
Finalement, il faudra attendre l'épisode 3728, diffusé le 6 février prochain sur France 3 pour voir Gabriel prendre son courage à deux mains et ainsi affronter ses parents.
Dans un court extrait publié sur le site officiel du feuilleton de la Trois, Gabriel a demandé à Thomas de le rejoindre.
Alors que ce dernier rentre dans la pièce, le père de Gabriel n'hésite pas à lui lancer une réplique homophobe.
Mais Gabriel va jusqu'au bout de son coming out et fait officiellement les présentations à ses parents : Thomas est son mari.
Thérèse et Baptise sont ses deux enfants. "Alors ma famille, c'est eux !", finit-il même par répondre à ses parents.
