Partey has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly keen admirers of the 25-year-old

The Ghana international played a starring role in Atleti's 2-0 win over Getafe on Saturday afternoon

And despite already playing for one of the biggest club's in Europe, Atletico Madrid manager Simeone believes his style is well-suited to English football

Speaking after their latest victory, he said: "I liked Thomas today. "He and Rodrigo [Hernandez Cascante] were great

"I think he's improving, Thomas is an amazing player. He could have played for Manchester City [or] Manchester United

"We're talking about a great player here. I rate him very highly." City are known to be in the market for a defensive midfielder after missing out on Jorginho and Fred in the summer

Boss Pep Guardiola is looking for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho who is now 33 years old

He also missed out on Frenkie de Jong after the promising 21-year-old Dutchman agreed a deal that will see him leave Ajax for Barcelona at the end of the season

It has been claimed that Lionel Messi played a key role in convincing De Jong that moving to Barcelona would be best for his career

However, Guardiola insists they pulled out of the deal because of his wage demands and the £65million transfer fee

"The transfer market, the salaries, increases a lot," he said. "I think we try to keep the harmony in the locker room with the wages

"When you have no balance with that then there is always a problem with the mood in the locker room

"One of the good things that City have done is keeping that balance."

Sadhguru - Opening up to multiple partners will cause turmoil within the system! - Duration: 12:37.

-How does one decide

whether one should or should not have premarital sex

and does it prepare us for a better marital life?

Sadhguru: See, different people are made differently.

This happened.

There was a little turtle, baby turtle.

With great difficulty,

it climbed up a tree,

went and sat on the edge of a branch and jumped.

Fell flat on the ground.

Again it took another twenty-four hours

for it to slowly climb,

get to that branch, again

jump, again fell flat.

Like this, it… day after day, it was doing.

Then there were two birds in the opposite tree.

They were sitting there,

and among themselves they shook their head and said,

"I think it's time we tell him he's adopted"

(Laughter).

For everybody, we are trying to draw the same prescription.

This's not going to work.

Because I've seen… you know, everyday I'm meeting thousands of people,

they are… pour their problems on me, all kinds of stuff.

What I see is, all these people

who talked about great amount of freedom,

when it comes to their personal lives,

after thirty-forty years of marriage

– not two, three years,

after thirty years of marriage

– still what the wife did, or the husband did

thirty-five years ago, still point of conflict (Laughs).

Have you seen or no?

Participants: Yes.

Sadhguru: You have also seen?

So when you know this is the state of human mind,

you must know what to do and what not to do (Laughs).

It is not…

It is not a question of morality.

It's a question of what kind of life do you want to craft for yourself.

It's about that.

Is it a morality?

Is it that nobody should get into anything,

or everybody should get into something –

there's no such thing.

What kind of life are you wanting to craft for yourself?

A kind of life

where your relationships mean really binding yourself

in such a way that

truly you can depend on yourself,

or it's like visiting restaurants every day

you want to taste something new and see.

But you could get very unhealthy with that.

There are some people who stick to their home food,

though it tastes about the same every day.

But those people are generally healthy, isn't it?

(Laughs)?

This is not…

I am not trying to teach you a moral class,

I am not a moral class person,

but these kind of things are happening in the society

– people are trying to draw prescriptions,

"Everybody must do this, otherwise you are no good!"

Or, "Everybody should not do it

otherwise you are no good!"

No, that's not the way.

There was a time,

in this culture and in every culture,

by the time a girl is fifteen or sixteen, she was married.

By the time a boy is seventeen or eighteen,

he was married.

Now, because of our education systems

and professional requirements,

and society has changed,

everything has changed,

because of that,

average marriage age for girls is around

twenty-four in this country, right now.

And for boys, it's crossing twenty-eight, thirty.

The peak of hormonal impact on human life is somewhere between fifteen to thirty.

After that it's not the same thing.

So, this is at least something we must debate,

but we should not be hasty to draw a conclusion,

"This is the way, that is the way."

We must give enough awareness to people

that they don't get into something compulsively,

which they regret later.

If consciously, if people see that

"This is the way I want to craft my life,"

that's up to the individual,

but there is no common prescription.

There should never be a common prescription.

Because individual requirements are very different.

Moderator: Sadhguru, my next question for you is,

why can't one husband be with multiple women,

and one woman or a wife can be with multiple husband

in today's society among consenting adults?

And what impact do these people have

when they involve in such relationships?

Sadhguru: Well, there are many aspects…

Historically you know there has been a Draupadi

who had five husbands, all right?

There is…

This has been a matriarchal society

where in many parts of the country

- even today in some parts of the country,

it's still practiced that

five brothers are married to one woman.

These things were done at a certain time

when the social situations were such,

or men were married to many more…

I mean more than one woman,

this was mainly because

men died more often than women.

Today both men and women are outside,

both may get killed,

that's different but at that time,

largely woman stayed home

because she was continuously pregnant.

From the age of fourteen to forty-five, fifty

she's almost all the time

either she's pregnant or she has a young child.

This is how life used to be.

So because of that, she stayed home and

she took care of the property and the agriculture and stuff.

Man went out to do business,

or for war, or for something else he went out.

So men always died more often.

So generally in most societies in the past,

the number of men was much less than

the number of women – always.

This has been the state all across the world.

So, naturally when so many women were there,

they needed care and they needed support in the society,

and those days a woman could not exist by herself

unless she's protected by a male partner,

it would be very difficult for her to exist by herself

because she would be exploited in so many different ways.

So, always they attached themselves,

so naturally a man ended up having two, three women

because the population ratio was like that.

But now largely it's leveled out.

If some individual does it, it's not a issue.

But if that becomes a social norm,

then how do you decide

somebody has whatever, multiple wives,

and how do you decide somebody has no wife?

This will become a social,

you know, collision, it will become.

It'll become lot of problems in the society,

because we may act civilized

- I'm…

I'm very particular,

I'm very clear about saying "we act civilized,"

but when we are denied basic things that we need,

all our civilization evaporates and

we will behave… behave like animals.

Yes or no?

Participants: Yes!

Sadhguru: So, when fundamentals are denied

people will go clashing,

so that's not going to work in today's world.

And above all,

the woman's condition will become very bad.

Those days there was no dearth,

if you had land it was okay,

you had five wives it doesn't matter,

you had twenty-five acres it was good enough,

everybody ate well and that's about it.

But today our requirements are not just about eating,

it's about many things.

So that kind of thing will lead to

lot of complicated situations in the society.

It's better to stick one on one,

and

anyway forever people have been doing their own things

beyond the legal relationships,

things have been happening in the societies.

That involves a certain risk,

somebody who is willing to take that risk,

that's for them,

but others will live within the legal format,

it's a balanced society.

If you are asking this question in a more existential way

– well… see,

this (Referring to oneself)...

this is a certain framework

of… not just of bone, and muscle, and flesh,

there is a certain energy framework,

only because of that, it takes in a certain form.

See, if you eat mangoes every day

and let's say a cow eats mangoes every day,

at some point will you or the cow get confused

whether you're a cow or a human being?

Or will the cow get confused?

Such a thing never happens

because there is a clear cut inner framework

to which flesh and blood is added,

but there is a framework,

an evolutionary memory framework is there,

it never gets broken, isn't it?

So, in this framework…

how strong you keep this framework,

how much integrity is there to this energy framework

will determine many things about your life,

many aspects of your life.

Especially if you want to

raise this life to another level of function,

it's very important you maintain this integrity.

This is why irrespective of which religion, which spiritual process,

if people want to raise themselves to a certain point,

first thing they will talk about is becoming monks

or bramacharis or sanyasis,

because the idea is to create such a level of integrity that

this is a whole life by itself

that it doesn't lean on anything else for support.

Either for physical well-being,

or emotional well-being,

or psychological companionship,

it doesn't lean on anything,

it stands by itself

because you want to take it somewhere else.

If you want normal function,

these things are not necessary.

Now, you want to become a rocket,

which breaks through a certain dimension of space,

now you need to be in a different level of force and integrity,

otherwise it will crack up.

So, you don't want to open your body to anything,

and especially opening to multiple partners has its own negativity in that context.

How much pain and.. you look at Draupadi's life,

how much volatility, how much pain,

how much suffering

she went through in her life, and

how much pain and suffering she caused

because of her anger, and jealousy, and whatever else.

So, these things happen for a variety of reasons,

you can't blame everything on that one aspect,

but that aspect also has a… a say in these aspects

because you are opening up your memory body,

your energy… energetic body

which is essentially ruled by memory to variety of memories

– this will cause a whole lot of turmoil within the system

which could affect

that life and many other lives.

So, Draupadi's life is in a way a sample for that.

It's not an absolute... this is not an absolute,

but this has an influence.

on your mind. But, that is not all, it's also Super Bowl week, Super Bowl 53

in Atlanta Georgia this week. People are getting ready there & our teams have been

hard at work creating experiences that folks will never forget.

Our teammate Tony McNary is on the ground & gives us a behind the scenes

look at what's going to happen this week.

Hey everyone, it's going to be a big week here in Atlanta. And I'm excited

Now Verizon is the presenting sponsor of Super Bowl Live which is an awesome fan

experience here in Centennial Olympic Park, just outside of Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Now throughout the week we'll check in on player experiences, musical acts

& so much more specifically for our Verizon Up members.

We'll talk to the network team about how they prepare for crowds like this,

we'll do some 5G demos & we'll even get to attend a red carpet premiere.

I am looking forward to that one.

It is going to be an awesome week but I gotta tell you who's really excited about it,

South Area President John Granby.

Football, Verizon & the south, a great combination & partnership. I can't

be more excited to be part of the new south, the south east & south central markets.

Football in that part of the country is obviously king. College football

is important. But to have the opportunity to work with the NFL on one of the

signature events in the world, the Super Bowl, in Atlanta, in 2019 is outstanding.

It is outstanding. Hey here's something you probably didn't know about John,

he played in the NFL for the Denver Broncos before he started his career with Verizon.

So I tell you, it's going to be a crazy busy awesome week.

It is time for us to go so we can check out some of the action. Back to you.

So much for people to do at Super Bowl Experience. Tony thanks for the report,

SARAH ASKS WHEN IS HILLARY GETTING LOCKED UP AFTER SPECIAL COUNSEL GOES TOO FAR - Duration: 10:05.

SARAH ASKS WHEN IS HILLARY GETTING LOCKED UP AFTER SPECIAL COUNSEL GOES TOO FAR

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was on fire in an interview on CNN.

Host John Berman made the mistake of bringing up the ridiculous standard the Robert Mueller

investigation is using to arrest people like Roger Stone, the former Trump adviser.

Mueller is running around arresting people for allegedly lying to the FBI, so Sarah wanted

to know when is it Hillary Clinton's turn?

But that's not all.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Hillary Clinton Before dawn on Friday morning, Robert Mueller ordered

the FBI to bust into Roger Stone's Fort Lauderdale home and arrest him like he was a felon fleeing

police.

"At the crack of dawn, 29 FBI agents arrived at my home with 17 vehicles, with lights flashing,

when they could have contacted my lawyer," Stone explained after a court appearance Friday.

"But the FBI agents were extraordinarily courteous."

Stone's attorney added that the arrest was a "Spectacle."

"A SWAT team, searching the house, scaring his wife, scaring his dogs-it was completely

unnecessary," Stone's attorney said.

"A telephone call would have done the job, and he would have appeared.

Mr. Stone has nothing to hide."

The double standard is ridiculous.

Democrats commit actual crimes and get away with it, Republicans linked to President Donald

Trump who have done nothing wrong get arrested over trumped up charges just to so Mueller

looks like he really has something on the president.

Poor Sarah drew the short stick among Trump's staffers to appear on CNN Friday morning right

after the Stone arrest.

No one on Trump's staff wants to do CNN.

They know they will be treated like crap and bombarded with fake news that they then have

to comment on.

Of course, CNN thinks Stone is somehow connected to Russia and will be the smoking gun to bring

the president down.

Sarah was asked about the 24-page indictment that alleges that Stone worked to obstruct

the House Intelligence Committee's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election

by making false statements to the committee.

Sanders continued, "Will we see the same people we know have all made false statements?

Will that same standard apply?

That's a question we'll see what happens on that front."

When CNN's host tried to go on about collusion with Wikileaks, even though Stone wasn't charged

with collusion with anyone, Sarah blasted Berman.

"Does that mean CNN is guilty of collusion?"

The truth is if Barack Obama was held to the same standard as what Mueller is trying to

hold to President Trump, the former president would be charged with colluding with Iran.

Wall Street Journal columnist Lee Smith asked that very question and concluded that Obama

would be locked up by the same standards Mueller and his deep state rats are using to judge

Trump.

He pointed out: "Then for 18 months in 2014-15, the Obama White House gave the Iranians $700

million a month in sanctions relief.

In January 2016, Mr. Obama sent Iran another $1.7 billion in cash.

The administration also had a habit of leaking news of Israeli strikes on Iranian arms convoys

and depots in Syria."

Yet, there was no investigation into Obama, was there?

"Mr. Trump's Russia policy has been as hard-line as that of any post-Cold War administration,

including Mr. Obama's.

The FBI's motive for investigating Mr. Trump looks more like pure politics," Lee Smith

wrote.

This conclusion isn't coming from a Trump supporter.

Thank God for Sarah Sanders and those who are loyal to President

Trump

in

his administration.

The Fast Way Up the Racing Ladder - Duration: 5:25.

It's tough you have to win, you have to win a lot and you have to stand out.

You just have to out-race them when it comes down to that.

If you want to win a championship, if you want to be consistent, patience is

gonna be what gets you there.

The fun part is driving, that's what I

really learned the last couple years. Ten percent of what my job is

getting in the car on the weekend, going out and driving. Ninety percent of it is

finding the funds to get in the car.

Chasing sponsors is always going to be

at the top of any drivers list and especially somebody that's

coming up through the ranks.

Obviously you know you see guys now I can buy seats and stuff

like that, but I mean you have you have to be winning plain as that.

These are things you have to learn, you have to learn to start on pole and to win from

pole, you have to learn how to lead every lap, you have to learn how to manage that

throughout the race, you have to learn all these things.

Being in the lead is a huge advantage especially with these cars relying

a lot on downforce being in the lead with clean air is a big advantage.

All of a sudden when you draft up on someone you get aero wash and you can actually kill

your tires behind someone so it's very strategic, I mean when you actually get

up on someone you have to make the move immediately in order to get by them and save your tires.

So if I break early going into a corner and I'm say a second

and a half ahead, they're gonna charge really hard to try and catch up to me

and I expect that but what that does is it ruins their tires a little bit because

they're charging so hard they might have a lock-up whatever it is and they're making mistakes.

There's no no chance that anybody can pass unless I make a

mistake you know so I just need to make, focus on just like a normal lap

or a qualifying session just making sure I hit my marks every time.

My favourite is when I'm not starting on pole,

I'm actually starting second, third, fourth or fifth, where I actually have to race to

get there that's the most enjoyable races for me.

In theory I think the you need a balance, but you have to be patient and you have to learn,

just as a kid if you're starting really young, you have to learn those things it's not

gonna come from night and day.

You see a lot of drivers that they they come out

of karting or they come out a little lower

in cars and they jump into a bigger car and they make a lot of mistakes but

they're really quick, they may be really quick but they're making mistakes

throughout the session and it ends up adding up to where you lose more than

actually gain when you're going fast.

I remember my first race when I was leading

in Formula Ford, you know I was still young I was 15 at the time, and I spun out!

So yeah some practice, I was massively nervous.

When you get worked up or you get irritated or annoyed, knowing that you're struggling is

not gonna help because when you go on track you're gonna be driving angry,

you have to be relaxed.

Another important aspect of racing that

I've learned is having to battle through adversity you know, not being on pace

you know at the beginning of the week and then just and just having to stay positive.

I expect that day to come where we don't

do well and I get brought down and I need to understand that, that day will

come and that way I can bring myself back up.

That's the thing about being a racer driver,

racecar driver, you got to flip the switch in an instant and you know as

soon as I put on the helmet, you know I'm in race mode.

You can learn how to attack in a go-kart and I think

that's really important you look at a guy like Oliver

Askew you who was Team USA, we went to Europe together for for the Walter Hayes Trophy

he is incredibly good at karting race craft and he's transferred that

right over to race cars.

I was able to come out of karts and fortunate enough

to be, you know on pace right away, but I've learned that the racecraft

can be very different in cars.

I mean obviously the racecraft and how

you set up a pass is maybe similar but at any given karting event almost every

corner is a passing opportunity.

I'd say it's a bit more spread out than go-kart

racing where you're just bumper-to-bumper and there is contact.

I mean there is contact in this sport too but we try to stay away from it because

the cars are much more fragile.

When I was in karts you could lunge someone you

know you can use a bit of side pod that's that's okay, in cars all of a

sudden use the side pod and you're looking at a crash damaged bill and

another angry racer.

Yeah you still have to be aggressive, you see it has to be a balance.

The biggest is race craft and understanding how to work with the team

and the way the car works.

Spend time with your team, when I was living in

England I spent a lot of time in the workshop just bonding with the boys and

it helps a lot you know, they want you to win and it kind of turns you into a

number one driver role where if they like you more than your teammate you're

spending more time with them, they're gonna want you to win more, they're gonna

want to do extra stuff for you.

You kind of have to be the whole package and

that's what anybody in the pinnacle races are, like Michael (Andretti) or Chip Ganassi

someone like that will say, they'll say you need to be the full package,

you need to be able to talk well in front of a camera, represent the sponsors

well, be a good driver win races, not crash the car, always be quick and

consistent, and adapt to any situation. So it's a lot, it really is a lot!

Arsenal star Granit Xhaka in explosive bust-up with fans after Man Utd FA Cup defeat - Duration: 2:44.

Arsenal midfielder Xhaka flopped as Manchester United cruised past the Gunners and into the fifth round of the FA Cup

The Red Devils eased through with a dominant performance at the Emirates Stadium, with Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial all on target

Arsenal fans were furious with their side after the game and footage obtained by The Sun has now surfaced showing them criticising Xhaka

The 26-year-old was in his car on his way out of the ground when supporters confronted him

Several Arsenal fans appeared to criticise the Switzerland international's performance

And Xhaka took issue with their words, telling them to 'shut up' before winding his windows up

The Arsenal star was far from the worst player on the pitch against United. But the anger among Gunners fans was also shared by Paul Merson, who criticised Unai Emery for his selection decisions

"When (Mesut) Ozil comes on, I sit there and think 'how's he not playing?'" he said

"I know people say, 'he doesn't run around, he doesn't track back', but none of them track back

"The two holding midfield players were nowhere to be seen in the first half for the goal, when (Romelu) Lukaku broke away the two holding players were nowhere to be seen

"The young right-back, didn't bother to track back for (Jesse) Lingard's goal. Trending  "I think the manager is getting away with it at the moment

"I like the manager but it's like, 'you know what, everybody knows we're bad at the back, so we'll just play this way

"It don't matter, it ain't me. These aren't my defenders. We were a mess before'

Set up a certain way!" Arsenal are next in action against Cardiff on Tuesday (7.45pm)

Harbor Freight Battery Charger Goes Up In Smoke - Duration: 2:56.

Hey Guys!

I came out to use my trusty old Harbor Freight Battery charger and it started making a very

loud buzzing sound.

And this "battery charger engine starter" tried to become a fire started smoking pretty

bad.

You can hear me clamoring around in the background trying to find a plug and get the thing unplugged.

Which I've already done at this point.

But it's still smoking pretty good.

And, it would be easy to think that I might have done something wrong but nothing is hooked

up incorrectly.

All the settings are correct.

The red clamp is on positive.

There's no reverse connection light.

There is not even any indication on the gauge.

It's not in starting mode.

And it's only in float charge.

So, something inside has gone sideways.

We're going to have to go inside to see what's going on but you can see the smoke's coming

out of the back so that's pretty clear where the source is.

The nine Commandments of charging on the back, I have obeyed all of them.

And you can see the diode rectifier assembly is the source of the problem.

This is a spring-loaded diode housing.

And there's a couple of button diodes that are held against that plate.

Everything on the other side in here looks pretty good but it's hard to say what else

might have failed with this kind of a meltdown.

But I'll try to give you a closer look of the rectifier assembly here.

If we zoom in where the wires connect to the diode housing, you can see that was probably

the primary source of the smoke.

That and, of course, the insulation on the wires also melted.

So that's why it continued to smoke even after it was unplugged.

And the way these things work; you've got A/C coming in on one side.

The A/C voltage goes into the top windings, comes out the bottom as 12 volt but it's still

A/C. It has to go through the rectifier which "straightens" it out, turns it into DC voltage.

And on its way to your battery it goes through a 20 amp safety breaker here.

And, obviously, that didn't do us any good here because it didn't shut itself off.

If we want to take a closer look.

You can see the contact surface for this button diode is pretty badly burned.

So that's probably the cause of the issue, is a high resistance build up.

And you can buy button diodes. But the housing is ruined so you would have to buy the housing.

What you buy is a kit.

Old Schumacher battery chargers used to use a similar rectifier setup.

But even if you replace it, you're going to have to replace all the burnt and melted wires

as well, which is a pain.

This unit gave me about eight solid years of service.

And since the cost of the new Cen-Tech battery charger at Harbor Freight is less than the

cost to replace these diodes, I think it just makes sense to buy a new one.

Well, if you enjoyed this video I hope you'll give a thumbs-up and share it with somebody else.

Thanks for watching.

Unsolved Celeb Deaths That Will Keep You Up At Night - Duration: 8:22.

People have always had a thing for unsolved mysteries.

We can't stop thinking about the possibilities and it doesn't help when the creep factor

is through the roof.

High-profile unsolved cases are even worse for the coverage they get.

Here are unsolved celebrity passings that'll keep you up at night.

Jason Mizell, better known as Jam Master Jay, the DJ who anchored the iconic Queens trio

Run-D.M.C., was as well-liked as anyone in the hip-hop industry, so his shocking passing

was especially baffling.

In October 2002, Jay was working in the studio when an unknown group of people arrived.

An hour later, he suffered a wound to the back of the head, and to this day,

the only people who know why aren't talking.

Fifteen years after the crime, former NYPD detective Derrick Parker revealed that the

case was once actually close to being "somewhat solved."

"So you think you know who killed Jam Master Jay?"

"Yes."

Parker chalks the case's persistent unsolved status up to the failure of witnesses to cooperate,

which there just may be a good reason for.

According to Jay's cousin Ryan Thompson, any potential witnesses would be jailed as accomplices

if they spoke up.

But by late October 2017, the case was officially deemed cold, and it doesn't seem like it'll

be heating up anytime soon.

The passing of Natalie Wood riveted the nation in 1981.

During the filming of the thriller Brainstorm, the actress was enjoying some R&R aboard a

yacht anchored off Catalina with husband Robert Wagner and castmate Christopher Walken.

Somehow, Wood vanished from the boat, and her body was later found floating over a mile

away.

The death was ruled an accidental drowning, until the case was reopened in 2011 due to

new information from witnesses.

Investigators have largely kept the nature of this information under wraps, but enough

is known to poke some serious holes in Wagner's story.

He claims he and Walken had an argument, then calmed down and noticed that Wood was missing.

But multiple witnesses claimed to have heard a man and a woman arguing heatedly during

the time frame in question, and investigators have also noted that Wagner has at times failed

to get his story straight.

Furthermore, Wood was known to be terrified of water, and according to Los Angeles County

Detective Ralph Hernandez, she looked like she had been assaulted when investigators

recovered her body.

Wagner, now in his 80s, was deemed a person of interest in 2018.

The renewed investigation has been ongoing ever since.

Bruce Lee wasn't just a master of martial arts, he was martial arts.

He beat up Chuck Norris onscreen, and he once kicked karate master Bob Wall so hard that

he flew backward into an extra and broke the extra's arm.

It seemed like nothing could ever take him down, but something did, even if we still

don't know what it was over four decades later.

Lee passed at the age of 32 in a friend's apartment.

The official cause of passing was cerebral edema, a swelling of the brain, but theories of the

underlying cause immediately began to fly.

These included heat stroke caused by having the sweat glands in his armpit removed, an

allergic reaction to a painkiller, and even a ninja assassination.

But no satisfactory explanation was ever found, unless Lee indeed found it himself.

As depicted in the 1993 bio-pic Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Lee was convinced that a

demon stalked the male members of his family, including his son Brandon, who would pass in

a tragic accident in 1993 during filming of The Crow.

Jack Nance was the unlikely muse of David Lynch, who cast him as the lead in his surreal

masterpiece Eraserhead.

Nance also appeared in Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks, and he would've gone on to anchor even

more Lynchian weirdness had he not gotten involved in a random street fight in 1997.

After exchanging words with two young men in a doughnut shop, Nance was punched twice

in the head.

He arrived home complaining of a terrible headache, but otherwise he didn't seem out

of sorts.

The next day, a friend who stopped by to check up on him found him succumbing of his injuries.

Lynch remembered his friend as easily irritated and prone to being vocal about it, which may

have had something to do with the altercation.

The men who delivered the fatal punches were never identified, and decades after the fact,

it's highly doubtful they ever will be.

Bob Crane was the genial, handsome star of '60s sitcom Hogan's Heroes.

His squeaky-clean image made his gruesome 1978 death all the more unfathomable.

He was discovered in his Scottsdale, Arizona, home with his head bashed in and an electrical

cord tied around his neck.

But if his passing was shocking, the details about his private life that leaked out afterward

were even more mind-boggling.

Crane was heavily into photographing and otherwise documenting his romantic encounters with women,

something his friend John Henry Carpenter might have helped him with.

Carpenter immediately became the focal point of the investigation and was even tried for

the crime in 1994, but he was ultimately acquitted.

A 2016 re-examination of DNA evidence also failed to pin the crime on Carpenter, who

died in 1998, and the case officially went cold once again.

The case was the subject of the 2002 film Auto Focus, starring Greg Kinnear and Willem

Dafoe as Crane and Carpenter.

While the film certainly isn't reserved in its opinion that Carpenter was responsible

for the crime, it's doubtful we'll ever know for sure.

"If the blood found in John Carpenter's car is from Bob Crane, Carpenter is almost

certainly the villain.

There is no other plausible explanation."

Musician Peter Ivers composed some of the music for Eraserhead, and then he spent the

early '80s making a name for himself on the burgeoning New Wave scene.

He championed the genre as the host of USA Network's New Wave Theatre from 1981 to 1983.

His eccentric style could border on performance art in its own right, and he may have well

been on his way to national stardom had his life not been cut brutally short on March

1, 1983.

Ivers was found bludgeoned to death in his L.A. apartment, and police determined he had

been offed by an intruder, perhaps an "opportunistic burglar."

However, one potential suspect was David Jove, the creator of New Wave Theater whom Ivers

didn't always get along with.

But Jove was never charged, and it soon became apparent that no additional leads would be

forthcoming.

On November 16, 2010, Hollywood power agent Ronni Chasen was driving along Sunset Boulevard

through a ritzy neighborhood after leaving the premiere party for Burlesque.

As she slowed her vehicle, someone pumped four shots from a handgun through her drivers'

side window, killing her almost instantly.

It was a shocking killing, and if critics are to be believed, the Beverly Hills Police

Department bungled the investigation so thoroughly that it's unlikely to ever be solved.

The BHPD's search quickly focused on Harold Smith, a down-and-out nobody who killed himself

when police confronted him.

The case was declared closed, but documents released in 2017 show an extremely limited

investigation that ignored other persons of interest and failed to take advantage of all

available surveillance footage.

Even in light of this information and the fact that not one shred of physical evidence

links Smith to the crime, the case has not been reopened.

Christa Helm was never a household name, but she might've been eventually if she hadn't

met her mysterious fate.

Arriving in Hollywood in the early '70s, Helm managed to land bit parts on such popular

TV series as Starsky and Hutch and Wonder Woman, but she was allegedly much more prolific

with her romantic dalliances.

She was rumored to have bedded such diverse talents as Warren Beatt, Joe Namath, and Mick

Jagger, and she wasn't shy about recording all the juicy details in a diary.

One day, a friend received a postcard from Helm with an ominous message:

"I am in way over my head here.

I'm into something I can't get out of."

Shortly thereafter, Helm was brutally stabbed and bludgeoned to death on a West Hollywood

street.

When investigators attempted to find her diary, it was conspicuously missing.

It was theorized that she had turned to extortion to supplement her sparse acting gigs, but

nothing was ever proven.

In 1966, rocker Bobby Fuller was riding high with his band, the Bobby Fuller Four, basking

in the success of their hit single "I Fought the Law."

He had just signed a fat distribution deal when he received a fateful phone call early

in the morning on July 18.

After the call, he departed his apartment in his mother's Oldsmobile, but we'll never

know who he was going to meet or why.

Later in the day he was found dead of asphyxiation in the car's front seat.

Bruises covered his body, and he'd been doused in gasoline.

Amazingly, responding officers quickly determined that Fuller had killed himself.

A nearby gas can was disposed of without being dusted for prints, people were never questioned,

and the bruises were chalked up to the gas fumes and the summer heat.

Fuller's family, however, never believed that he had killed himself.

He was at the peak of fame and showed no signs of depression.

The 2015 book I Fought the Law: The Life and Strange Passing of Bobby Fuller offers the theory

that Roulette Records owner Morris Levy was involved with Fuller's passing after Fuller

attempted to back out of a business deal with Levy.

However, the case remains unsolved.
