Youtube daily so May 4 2017

Today we have with us GM Himanshu Sharma, who is India's 47th grandmaster.

Himanshu, tell us about your journey.

I began my chess journey when I was eight years old.

I won the State Open Championships when I was 13 years old which was a big milestone,

A 13-year-old winning the State Championship in Haryana was nothing short of a miracle.

I finished first at the National Under-18 in 2000, which was also a big ahievement

because someone from Haryana winning the National Championship seemed like an impossible task.

However, I am glad that thanks to God's grace and blessings of the elders I was able to achieve this.

Since then the chess journey has kept progressing slowly and steadily.

I became an IM in 2006 and in 2014 I scored my first GM norm in Mayor's Cup in Mumbai.

I scored my 2nd GM norm in KiiT Open in Bhubaneshwar in 2015 and my final norm came in Spain in 2016. Recently I broke the rating barrier and became a GM.

Don't you think it took you quite some time to reach 2500 because you had already scored your GM norms sometime ago.

In life of any chess player there will always be ups and downs.

The most important thing is to keep an eye on the minute details of your game and keep improving them.

If there is a downfall, it means that there are some errors in your game which you are not being able to get rid off.

And I am of the opinion that greater are the difficulties in your path, the better are your chances for achieving bigger success.

Surely I lost a lot of rating at some point in my chess career. I had even come down below 2350.

But the way I regrouped from that point onwards has been a great journey and my aim is to increase it as much as I can.

Himanshu, what is your aim for the future now?

I have just reached a rating of 2500.So the next step should definitely be reaching 2600.

I will do all the hard work and concentrate on all it takes to reach this goal and will try to reach it as soon as I can.

Himanshu, what would be your advice to all the youngsters who want to achieve something in chess?

My first advice would definitely be to believe in yourself.

If you do not have a good coach, or the resources that you have with you are limited, and it is not so easy to progress, it is not something to be sad about.

If someone has achieved a milestone before you, it is very much possible that you can also do it.

If I have achieved something, I am sure you can also achieve it!

With your willpower and dedication, remember that the aim is achieveable and you will surely achieve it. All that you have to do, is not get distracted.

Thank you, Himanshu Sharma.

Veliko nogometno presenečenje - Kako so starši presenetili igralce na Škotskem - Duration: 2:23.

A new day begins

and the sound of nostalgia awakens a memory.

It seems like only yesterday

that you smiled at me as you took your first steps.

And soon made up your mind where your path lay.

Commitment, hard work and perseverance,

respect and courage, these are values that leave their mark.

Don't forget these qualities of the heart that lead you onwards,

wherever you proudly step.

Because, what was once a dream and a goal

has now borne fruit and grown into success.

And though it hasn't always been easy,

there has never been a time we haven't cared.

And when I look at you now,

I know that you are still guided by the same passion.

Now we stand together,

two hearts beating as one.

Carried here by a thought that brings us all together as one.

Here, we are all the same, in our desire and yearning.

And there is just one thing,

one thing that is constant and genuine.

One love, that has always guided me, by your side.

Just one thing I promised,

to give you my heart.

What gives you energy?

Kate reveals Princess Charlotte sang happy birthday to herself: 'It was so sweet' - Duration: 2:30.

Kate reveals Princess Charlotte sang happy birthday to herself: 'It was so sweet'

The Duchess of Cambridge's daughter Charlotte had a "little party" for her second birthday.

princess Charlotte is the cutest!

Her doting mum Kate has opened up about how the family celebrated Charlotte's second birthday

earlier this week, revealing that they had a low-key party on Tuesday.

The young Princess, who turned two on 2 May, even treated her loved ones to an adorable

rendition of Happy Birthday.

During an engagement at a farm in Gloucestershire, Kate spoke to a group of schoolchildren who

were learning about the day-to-day running of a farm.

Their teacher Natalie Graham explained that the children had given the Duchess a birthday

card they had made for little Charlotte, as well as a toy Paddington Bear.

Miss Graham said: "She told them that they had a little party for Charlotte yesterday

and she sung Happy Birthday to herself!

It was so sweet.

She loved the card and present and said Charlotte would love it too as the card had Peppa Pig

on, which she loves."

The Duchess bonded with one little girl in particular, nine-year-old Sayanna, who speaks

Spanish.

Kate revealed that her daughter Charlotte and son George are learning the language and

three-year-old George can already count to ten.

The young royals have a Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

"She said she is trying to teach Charlotte Spanish and said her son George can count

up to ten in Spanish already," said Sayanna.

"We also told her how we found all the cameras a bit strange but she said although it was

weird she had got used to it."

Prince William's wife spent the afternoon at a farm in Arlingham, Gloucestershire.

The farm is one of three supported by Michael Morpurgo's charity Farms For City Children,

which aims to give inner-city children an understanding of farming, the countryside

and food production.

The group of schoolchildren had come from Vauxhall, London for the day.

Tessa Stone, chief executive, said of the visit: "It's been a joy to have her for four

hours.

She spent quality time with the children and she was fantastic, you can tell she can really

gets it.

Having had a childhood experience growing up in the countryside, she appreciates how

crucial it is."

'Cause I don't... I don't belong in a world where we don't end up together.

I don't.

There are parallel universes out there where this didn't happen.

And whatever universe that is, that's the one that my heart lives in.

What I want

is never to see you again in my life.

Your name does not belong on this list.

Because you aren't every other guy.

You're different.

And I didn't deserve to be with someone like you.

I never would.

Doesn't it ever occur to you just how different we are?

You're the perfect girl next door.

I'm the damaged, loner outsider from the wrong side of the tracks.

You forgot!

Four hundred years, is that all it takes?

I moved on.

Where?

Where can you be now that you could forget something like that?

You've been gone.

I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't want that.

You've been gone.

I love him.

And you made your choice.

So there's the door.

If that's what you want...

No matter what I feel for you, I...

I never unfall for him.

I don't think I could ever forget you.

I need you to know that I understand.

I love you.

I will love you forever.

Stay the fuck away from my girlfriend, you got it?

Let's go.

I don't wanna see you.

I don't wanna be with you.

- Fucking asshole! - Hey!

- Come one! Hey! - How could you do that to me?

What did you tell him?

He's dead.

I'm begging you, please.

Bring him back.

Bring him back and take me instead.

And I owe it all to him.

You take one more step we are done.

We are done.

I miss you...

And I really wish you were here.

I'm just trying to do the right thing here.

I said I did.

Wasn't that good enough for you?

I can't be with you.

You've got something good here.

With her.

There's all kinds of ways to feel lonely.

Is that you?

Please, say it's you.

I don't know.

Why is Bubble Wrap so Satisfying? - Duration: 3:26.

one of my fellow creators reached out to me and asked me to do a video on why Bubble wrap

is so satisfying.

ready for an unpopular opinion?

I don't find popping it that satisfying.

Okay maybe its a little bit satisfying but I'm not one of those people who will sit

there for a good 5 minutes popping bubble wrap I received with my package.

Okay maybe its a little bit satisfying but I'm not one of those people who will sit

there for a good 5 minutes popping bubble wrap I received with my package.

So, sorry the fake Brit I have no idea why bubble wrap is so satisfying.

End of video.

Bye.

Just kidding.

Don't go away just yet.

With a quick Google search, I found a lot of upset individuals on Bubble Wraps new unpoppable

design.

What monster would do such a thing?

Sealed Air Corporation has been the original seller of bubble wrap since 1960.

Recently, the companies sales have been going down due to competitors who make a cheaper

alternatives for package protection.

Bubble wrap is ultimately too bulky and inefficient.

Due to that the makers decided to revamp bubble wrap.

Their new product, iBubble Wrap.

Retailers save space as they fill the air in themselves.

You no longer get this.

The only downside?

It doesn't pop.

Thus we get an upset internet mob.

#FirstWorldProblems.

What?

It doesn't pop?

It doesn't pop! pop!

Actually popping bubble wrap is closely associated to fidgeting.

Studies have shown a correlation to it and increased attention span and information retention.

What exactly is fidgeting?

Its repetitive movement that ultimately doesn't have an end goal.

For example, shaking your leg, twiddling your thumbs and my personal favorite pen clicking.

In a South Georgia study for example, students were allowed to use stress balls during instruction

and independent work.

The data collected from the study showed the students to be distracted less and their scores

in writing paragraphs improved.

Other fidget like tasks have had similar results.

Doodling is shown to increase focus and information recall.

Individuals who handwrite notes are also shown to retain more information than those who

type notes on a laptop.

Alright so fidgeting has its benefits, but why is there a correlation between fidgeting

and those benefits.

Why does our body say "hey pen clicking will help you focus better".

That's almost like saying, "closing your eyes will help you run faster".

One theory is health related.

Our modern world requires us to sit for long hours at a time.

Whether its work or school, you're sitting.

Too much sitting is linked to heart disease, diabetes, and premature death.

Not being able to sit still or being fidgety may be a way of our bodies telling us to get

up and move.

Another theory is evolutionary.

Back in ancient times when we were all hunter gathers.

We had to worry about predators a lot.

That worry would eventually subside when we're able to flee from these predators or kill

them.

Both solutions exert a lot of pent up energy and it's only then ancient humans were able

to relax because they knew they'd either killed or escaped the predator.

Fidgeting could be that ancient pent up energy trying to release itself in the modern world

where we don't have to worry about predators.

Sabertooth tigers anyway.

So, fidgeting is some pretty serious business.

Just look at how much this cube designed for the fidgeter made on Kickstarter, over 6 million

dollars.

And bubble wrap?

Well its just an extension of that.

That satisfying repetitive movement.

Too bad bubble wrap is old news though huh?

Trump Just Revealed The REAL Reason Why Barron Is Staying In New York City – This Is So

SAD!

Donald Trump gave an exclusive interview today to the Washington Times and discussed how

his role as president has affected his family life.

"There is no question, it is a big burden on the family," the Trump said.

He also criticized the media for the way it has treated members of his family, saying

MelaniaTrump has been "terribly abused by the press."

"Really unfairly," he said.

"She's a high-quality person.

She's been amazing for the country."

Trump also talked about his son, Barron, who is living in New York with the first lady.

The two are expected to move to the White House once Barron finishes up the school year.

"I have a son who's a very young boy, he just turned 11," Trump said.

"He'll be taken away from his school and be put into a brand new school.

He likes playing on his soccer team in New York, they're all of his friends, and you

know he'll be taken away from that team.

We didn't want to do it in the middle of a season."

During the interview, Trump also brushed off an incident last week in which his daughter,

Ivanka Trump, faced a tough audience during a women's panel in Germany after calling

her father a "tremendous champion of supporting families."

"I listened to that, and you had to listen pretty [carefully] — that was not booing

like we all know it," Trump said.

"She gave an answer, and she's cool.

She can handle it."

SUPREME COURT WONDER Gorsuch Just Did the Incredible, You'll Be So Happy Trump Picked Him! - Duration: 2:25.

SUPREME COURT WONDER Gorsuch Just Did the Incredible, You'll Be So Happy Trump Picked

Him!

President Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch for the empty Supreme Court seat that was left

when Justice Scalia passed.

And Trump's nomination rather easily passed muster, with Gorsuch being sworn in less than

one month ago.

And he's already proving that he's the perfect person for the job!

He's showing that he's an independent thinker, not one to follow the pack, even

though he's the newest member of the Court.

He just showed this by declining to join a labor "pool" at the Supreme Court, that

takes a lot of work off the Justices, and will put a lot more work on him.

Here is the amazing moment that he was nominated:

The purpose of the pool is to let the Justices share their clerks, allowing the clerks to

read the petitions to be heard at the SCOTUS and to make decisions about which will be

heard.

Only one other Justice has opted out of the pool, Justice Alito.

It makes for more work for a Justice who opts out, and for their own personal clerks.

And this shows that, like Trump, Gorsuch is not afraid of a little hard work!

As an attorney, I know the importance of not having Supreme Court Justices that shirk hard

work!

The clerks in the pool are all very smart and academically accomplished.

But they lack life experience, where our most important lessons are taught.

Justice Gorsuch recognizes this and is already proving that he will not just follow the crowd

or take the easy road.

Just another smart move by our President!

Please share this with everyone you know, and help smear the media, that just wants

to smear our Trump!

How Are Search Engines So Fast? - Duration: 3:52.

You're looking for a file, and you know that you just saved it.

You know where you hoped this file was saved, but you just don't see it.

So you try searching your computer, and end up really frustrated.

This paper is due in ten minutes, and your computer is taking its sweet time searching.

And you know you have the right filename because you just saved it.

So you ask your friend Google where Word saves temporary files,

just in case your computer did something weird.

And in the blink of an eye, Google gives you an ordered list of relevant results.

Google's computers looked through trillions of Web pages,

ranked their relevance to your specific problem, and listed them in order for you.

Meanwhile, your computer keeps spinning away, taking thousands of times longer to search

a database a million times smaller than Google's.

So how does Google do it?

You might assume that Google's computers are just faster than yours,

and that's probably true.

But computing power isn't the main reason for Google's impressive speed.

Instead, it comes down to their famous algorithm.

An algorithm is just any kind of procedure that you follow in order to accomplish something.

And with Google or any other search engine, the algorithm is what turns your search

into pages of results.

The algorithm can work so fast because the search engine doesn't actually

look through those trillions of pages in that split-second between your search

and the results showing up on your screen.

That would take way too much time, and this isn't the dial-up era anymore.

We want our results now.

Search engines don't look through all those pages when you search

because they already did.

A search engine's computers are constantly crawling the Web.

They follow links from site to site, creating gigantic lists of which pages have which words,

how many times those words appear on each page, how important those pages are

to the rest of the internet, and all kinds of stuff like that.

The exact way a search engine decides which results to show you is generally a secret,

since they want to stop sites from gaming the system

so they're higher in the search results.

But it all depends on how these gigantic lists are sorted and combined into what's called

an index, which is a lot like the index you'd find in the back of a book.

When you search, the search engine's computers just check the index, find the entries

that are most relevant, and then send them back to you in the right order.

This might sound more complicated than searching the pages themselves each time,

but think about how much easier it is to find something in the book's index

than it is to flip and skim through every page to find what you're looking for.

The index is faster because whoever made it did all the work for you

by putting the book's topics in a nice, orderly list.

And their hard work is worth it, because the index lets you find whatever you want

way faster than you could've otherwise.

Google's computers also put a ton of time and effort into making the index,

but all that effort's worth it.

The index dramatically speeds up each of the roughly forty thousand searches

that Google answers every single second.

So why doesn't your home computer or laptop make an index

if it's easier to search through than files themselves?

Well, some modern computers do, which lets them search for files pretty quickly.

And those that don't can generally make an index if you ask nicely.

Or, really, if you change the right setting.

But some people tell their computers not to bother making an index, because making

and maintaining an index takes time and computer power that can slow a computer down.

If you search without an index, your computer pretty much has to

go through each of those files to see if it has what you're looking for,

which is why searching a computer can be so painfully slow sometimes.

And that's why you're watching your ten minutes tick away as your computer asks

each and every song you own if it's your term paper.
