Youtube daily land Apr 1 2017

We start this afternoon with the latest on the recovered Sewol-ho ferry...

It's been almost a day since the ferry arrived at its last destination of Mokpo New Port,...

and operations are underway for it to be transferred to land.

Crews are carefully analyzing the vessel's structural condition beforehand,... and mapping

out the best way to do what is a complex operation.

For more we connect to our Kim Min-ji -- who is at Mokpo New Port.

Min-ji, fill us in on the developments since the ferry's arrival on Friday?

Mark.

Currently water and other substa nces are being drained from the Sewol-ho ferry -- and

you can get a slight glimpse of the vessel behind me.

It's been almost a day since it arrived here,... after a six hour journey,... from where it

was salvaged... almost three years after it capsized.

Officials are closely assessing the sturdiness of the ferry as it has been completely submerged

under seawater and subject to strong currents for almost three years.

The utmost priority is on safety,... especially as the bodies of the nine missing victims

could still be inside.

For now the plan is to reduce the sheer weight of the ferry by draining off excess sea water,

oil and other substances,... as well as undoing the attachment sites that secured the vessel

to the semi-submersible.

They will also have to secure the semi-submersible to the dry dock for the safe transfer.

But this is expected to be a race against time.

They need to have the ferry level and it's important to maintain the weight balance,...

which means the process is best done when the tides are low -- and the neap tide period

for April falls between the 4th and the 8th -- that's Tuesday through next Saturday.

They will also need to dredge out the mud,... but there are concerns there could be bone

fragments or passengers' belongings in the mud -- so officials will draw up plans on

how to search and store them, if any are discovered.

Once that's done, a modular transporter will be used to get the vessel to land... with

the target date of Thursday, April 6th.

Now, while that's an important process -- another crucial aspect that people want to know,...

particularly the relatives of the missing passengers -- is when the search for the missing

will begin?

You're right, Mark.

However, as it can only take place once it's on land and after disinfection and fumigation,...

the search is not expected to begin until April 10th.

Along with the search inside the vessel,... divers will be conducting another on the seabed

where the Sewol-ho went down.

As holes were made in the vessel in the process of salvaging,... there are concerns belongings

or bone fragments could have been lost.

A search will take place across an area of 32-thousand square meters,... where the Sewol-ho

lay.

Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn visited Mokpo New Port this morning,... saying the search

must take place thoroughly and quickly so the nine missing can return to their families.

He said the first and foremost task is to recover the missing.

He called for all out efforts to move the Sewol-ho safely,... and to be cautious that

no accidents occur during the process.

The first foundational drill is tracking the still ball.

It has a startling effect on your aim if you are able to track this non moving object.

Make sure that you practice this alone or other players may move the ball, making it

not still.

That would be bad.

Do this drill for 2 minute.

The next one is jumping ball tracking.

Start jumping and track the ball, keeping your crosshair on it.

If you feel confident, hit the ball and track it in the air too.

It is very beneficial to learn this kind of aim, as you can use it to create a distraction

among your teammates allowing you to prepare for your amazing shot.

Do this drill until you are satisfied with your tracking expertise.

Okay so here come the secret techniques that grandmasters ABUSE to get the ball into the

net.

(Wait what?

These sentences are ridiculous, who even talks like this?

Nevermind...

) Soo these are going to be actual useful tips

to land the ball, are you ready?

In order to land the table ball and win your team's guaranteed respect, do the following.

Step to the table and align your view so the center of the ball and the center of the net

is on the same line.

Now align your crosshair to the bottom of the net.

There are characters with different height, it's easier with taller ones.

Hit the ball with a melee and watch the ball land.

That's all there is to it.

Sometimes the best way is not the clean way.

Here is one bonus tip that will always guarantee a score for you.

This is a secret that the big companies keep from you.

Symmetra is an agent of chaos, using occult powers to bend the laws of physics according

to her will.

Use the microwave to pick up the ball and put it into the basket.

That's all there is to it.

Just aim at the ball, hold the left click from a distance and dunk the ball as much

as you like.

The ultimate technique for free confetti!

Wait there is more!

Your - now extraordinary - ball juggler skills have actual practical uses in-game.

They are somewhat fishy, but can catch the unsuspecting enemies off-guard.

The first use is with Junkrat.

You can place your mine AND your trap on the ball and melee it into the battlefield.

The result can be hilarious.

If you are patient enough, you can bash the ball into the face of the first enemy, activating

the trap and then blowing them to pieces with the mine.

Oh and the ball is recyclable if you are able to find it.

Our favourite use for the ball is the floating sphere of death.

Pick Symmetra and place 3 turrets on the ball.

It is possible to place 4 of them, but the deathball becomes volatile, so let's just

stick to 3.

When you are ready to unleash chaos, pick up the ball with the microwave and march into

battle, holding it high.

Free enemy fries in three seconds.

If the situation becomes too hot for you, just hurl the ball into the enemy team and

start beaming away.

We hope that you don't take these tips seriously.

This video was made to celebrate fool's day in our style.

related tips or your own achievements with it.

Today in Military History: 4/1 - US troops land on Okinawa - Duration: 1:00.

Today in military history 1945.

US troops land on the island of Okinawa.

The US sought to seize Okinawa as a forward base

for a planned invasion of mainland Japan.

50,000 troops of the 10th Army made the landing

under the command of Army Lieutenant

General Simon B. Buckner who's father

was a Confederate General during the Civil War.

The campaign to take Okinawa would last for 81 days

and cost over 20,000 American lives.

Among them would be General Buckner who was the highest

ranking American Officer killed during World War II.

The fierce struggle for Okinawa led the United States

to reconsider plans to invade mainland Japan.

And look into options for either blockading Japan

to starve them out or put them into submission.

This led ultimately to the decision to use the atomic bomb

to force Japan's surrender.

Operation underway to transfer Sewol-ho ferry to land - Duration: 2:56.

We start this evening with the latest on the recovered Sewol-ho ferry.

It's been more than a day since the vessel arrived at its last destination of Mokpo New

Port,... and officials are stepping up efforts for the safe transfer of the ferry to land.

Kim Min-ji has our top story.

Operations are well underway for the Sewol-ho vessel to be transferred to land.

The plan is to reduce the sheer weight of the ferry by draining seawater and other substances,...

as well as undoing the attachment sites that secured the vessel to the semi-submersible.

This comes after the vessel arrived at its final destination of Mokpo New Port on Friday,...

after a six hour journey from where it was salvaged.

Officials are closely assessing the sturdiness of the ferry as it was completely submerged

under seawater and subject to strong currents for almost three years.

They will also have to secure the semi-submersible to the dry dock for the safe transfer so it's

imperative to get the ferry level.

It's also important to maintain the weight balance,... which means the process is best

carried out when the tides are low.

In addition, they will need to dredge out the mud before the ship can be transported

to land on a modular transporter.

"Starting Saturday, we will remove mud from the semi-submersible.

We are aiming to get the job completed by midnight on April fourth.

Around 80 workers will take part and an official from the National Forensic Service is also

on board to monitor the process."

From Sunday, divers will also conduct a search of the seabed where the Sewol-ho lay for the

past three years,... which covers an area of 32-thousand square meters.

As holes were drilled in the vessel during the salvage process,... there are concerns

belongings or bone fragments could have drained into the sea.

Visitors are also making their way to the port,... as they did at Paengmok-hang harbor

near the site of the accident,.... to pay their respects to the victims.

Yellow-ribbons, which have become symbols of sympathy for the tragedy, have been tied

to the barbed wire fences surrounding the Sewol-ho ferry from afar.

"It took too long.

It feels as though this could have taken place much sooner.

I hope the missing nine people can quickly return to their families."

"As I live in Mokpo, I thought it would be right to come.

As a father myself, I hope the exact cause of the sinking is found."

The government has vowed to put the utmost priority on finding the missing,... as well

as swiftly launching an investigation into what caused the ferry to sink.

"If all goes as planned,.. the ferry is due to be on land by next Thursday.

Then the vessel will be disinfected,... and a search of the ferry is expected to begin

April 10th.

It's hopefully then that the missing can return to their loved ones... who have been waiting

for too long.

Kim Min-ji, Arirang News.

Mokpo."

Interior secretary hints border wall could be on Mexican land - Duration: 3:24.

Interior secretary hints border wall could be on Mexican land

BY BEN KAMISAR

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke on Tuesday said America can't give away the Rio Grande to

Mexico in the process of building President Trump's signature border wall, implying the

structure could wind up standing partially on Mexican land.

"The border is complicated, as far as building a physical wall," he said during a speech

to the Public Land Council in Washington, D.C., according to E&E News.

"The Rio Grande, what side of the river are you going to put the wall?

We're not going to put it on our side and cede the river to Mexico.

And we're probably not going to put it in the middle of the river."

Zinke reportedly conceded that the administration could instead rely on electronic defenses

or could skip building the wall in certain areas where terrain may make crossing improbable.

Democrats piled on Zinke for the remarks, accusing him of calling for the wall to be

built in Mexico.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) asked Wednesday morning to enter the quote

into the record, moving on without any comment.

But his spokesman, Matt House, needled Zinke in a tweet.

"These guys... now the wall is going to be IN Mexico, according to Interior Secretary

Zinke," he said.

Americans Oversight, a watchdog group that's pushed back against the wall, piled on, too.

First, President Trump proposed building a wall on our southern border and having Mexico

pay for it.

Now his administration is planning to build a wall in Mexico and have Americans pay for

it, Austin Evers, the group's executive director, said in a statement.

Logistically, this latest proposal to build the wall in Mexico raises a host of legal,

procurement, and long-term issues.

A 1970 treaty negotiated between the United States and Mexico established the middle of

the Rio Grande as the border in some places.

That treaty, as well as the natural shifts of the river, served as a stumbling block

to previous attempts to build border fencing and could complicate the Trump administration's

push for a wall.

Trump made the construction of a border wall to stem the flow of illegal immigration a

centerpiece of his presidential campaign.

Once in the Oval Office, Trump almost immediately signed an executive order calling for the

wall to be built and the Department of Homeland Security has requested proposals.

However, the plan is likely to face a difficult path.

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), who plays a major role on the Appropriations Committee, told

reporters that congressional leadership is likely to agree on a government spending bill

soon and would rather deal with that funding as a supplemental bill later.

As CNN reported on Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security's first request for funding

the project is about $1 billion to cover 62 miles with either new or replacement fencing.
