The first step to replacing the starter motor is to turn the ignition switch off and remove

the key.

Lift the seat.

Remove the bolt connecting the negative cable to the battery and tuck the battery cable

away so it doesn't touch the battery post.

Lift the mower hood.

We've removed the hood to give you a better view.

Remove the air duct mounting screws and pull off the air duct.

Rotate each air filter cover retaining knob counterclockwise and pull off the air filter

cover.

Remove the air filter.

Remove the air filter housing screw.

Remove the front blower housing mounting bolts.

Remove the rear blower housing mounting bolts.

Lift off the blower housing.

Remove the lower dash fastener and pull off the lower dash.

Remove the wire mounting nut and pull off the starter motor wire.

Remove the starter motor mounting bolts.

A wire retainer comes off when you remove the left bolt.

Pull off the starter motor.

Position the new starter motor on the engine and attach it with the right mounting bolt.

Position the wire retainer and the left bolt and then route the wires through the retainer.

Install and tighten the left mounting bolt.

Attach the starter motor wire and connect it with the mounting nut.

Reinstall the lower dash and secure it with the fastener.

Position the blower housing on the engine and align the air diverter in the housing.

Reinstall the blower housing mounting bolts.

Reinstall the air filter housing screw.

Reinstall the air filter.

Position the air filter cover on the engine and turn each retaining knob clockwise on

the cover.

Reinstall the air duct and secure it with the mounting screws.

Reconnect the negative cable to the negative battery terminal.

Lower the seat.

Are you one of Yamaha Vixion lovers?

Good news for you, because..

after a while hoping for a change to Vixion

Here's the answer

Yamaha recently lauch All New Vixion

it has a brand new design

more sharp edges and more sporty

Looking at the body,

shroud is merged with fuel tank

If older Vixion use full metal tank

now, the tank is inside this cover

The capacity is 12 litres.

While sharp edged shroud gives protection to radiator.

New design for headlamp,

and sharp edges continues to the rear

combined with new fender.

The new fender has removable mudguard, makes it look sportier.

The engine hasn't changed a lot.

Because it's basically the same

But there's a new technology applied to this Vixion

It now has slipper clutch.

This assist and slipper clutch can help you

when you change gears

The clutch is light

It also helps you during deceleration,

the rear tyres doesn't lock when you do downshifting.

Let's take a look closer.

With new design, comes modern features.

Such as full LED lights

for headlights and tail lights,

but sign lamps still use bulbs.

Move to another details, there is a new instrument cluster.

Yamaha calls it a 'Hello Buddy' cluster.

If you notice, new Yamaha bikes features this cluster.

You can also write your name on it.

We can later see whe we test this bike.

There's also a change at the handle bar, it has engine cut off.

If you are Vixion riders, you must have noticed

that you don't have engine cot off.

And then there's a hazzard switch below it

similar to all new Yamaha R15.

Satisfied? Don't be

Because, beside this All New Vixion,

Yamaha is adding one more variant to the Vixion family.

It's Vixion R

Wanna see? Let's go to the other bike.

Well, riders, this is the bike.

This is All New Vixion R

Design is similar to the base model.

Off course, the colour is different.

Basically, the structure is the same, body and chassis.

But the badge is obviously different, it says V-Ixion R

And there's a sticker below.

It's a sign that someting's different.

The engine is the difference.

The engine displacement is slightly bigger.

It has 155,1 cc produces 19 horsepower.

you may guess...

Yes, it's R15's engine.

So, we can say, it's a naked R15.

Because, not only the engine..

rear suspension is also derived from all New R15

The chassis is pretty much the same

but off course all mountings are different

because rear arm and tyres share the same composition with R15.

The rear rims also different

Vixion uses 3,5 inch wide, while this one use R15 4 inch rims

This bike also looks sportier

The gear shift lever is different.

Also, there's a kick starter for All New Vixion,

while there's none for Vixion R.

Looking for details, there are more differences.

Such as shorter muffler for Vixion R,

the footpeg design is also different.

Undercowls with different design for each variants.

Vixion R rear looks sportier without removable mudguard.

At a glance, seat looks the same

but you can notice a red double stich for Vixion R.

Last, fuel tank also looks the same

turns out, the capacity is different.

12 L for Vixion and 11 L for Vixion R.

Interested with Vixion R?

Be patient, because Yamaha has not relese the price yet.

More expensive than Vixion that sold Rp 26 Mio (approx USD 1.857)

The two variants are equipped with centre stand.

But, there are no grab bars.

So, to move the bike, you can use this hidden grip.

The seat is not so wide,

With 785 mm seat height,

this bike is should still be ideal for average Indonesian posture.

Thus conclude our first impression for

the two variants of All New Yamaha Vixion.
