Oh my god, you guys I was so drunk!
I was drunk before the flight.
Hej alihopa, I hope you're having a great weekend. So excited to see you again!
For those who don't know me
I'm Idan.
This channel is Idan in Sverige, which means in Swedish: Idan in Sweden.
I'm not in Sweden yet.
But I'm on the road to study in Sweden, which is exactly the topic we're gonna talk about today.
Did you like the new intro?
I kinda worked on it. I don't know if it's gonna be the final result
But I want to hear your opinion.
So some of you probably are curious like how is... how did it start?
My decision to study in Sweden or just study abroad at all.
Where is it?
So...
Here's my...
European passport.
Long story short, my grandfather
Was Bulgarian which means I can study in Europe.
For free.
This is what made me kind of realize that I have this amazing opportunity
Not everyone gets this chance. So why not use this?
and try something new
I've been contemplating studying abroad for a while before
I felt like I want to get take a little break from my country
As you know, Israel has tons of drama and I love drama, but sometimes there's just too much....
tea spilled.
I... I know it's terrible.
I'm going to attempt to answer
The question why in Sweden?
I had a little Swedish accent.
Sweden.
My romance with Sweden began...
when I started watching
The Bridge, bron.
I became interested in Swedish culture.
The fact that Eurovision...
has been in Stockholm in 2016,
and I went there. Thanks to my lovely parents that bought it for my birthday.
I appreciate it, you guys, if you watch this.
If you don't...
You probably don't, because I'm kind of embarrassed to show it to you.
When I was in Stockholm, I fell in love I came back to Stockholm a year after.
And...
Then I came back again to Sweden
To Lund, where I want to study.
Lund is such an amazing small city!
I have pictures from Lund, I'll show it to you.
I've been there in November 2018.
Gorgeous, there was like Christmas decorations.
It looks like a small town, but it has like...
facilities of a city.
It's close to Malmö.
It's close Copenhagen. it's amazing.
I fell in love completely
I'm so excited
I really hope I'll get accepted.
But it's not up to me anymore, because I have sent all the documents.
All the motivation letters.
I wrote four!
I also had to
ask for two recommendation letters.
It was a whole process! Now I'm just waiting for results.
so I thought it would be also fun to
have a timer for when I get results from this video and on.
So my Danish friend invited me
To a sittning.
I didn't know that was the name of this thing.
He just said there's going to be a dorm party or whatever.
It was more than a dorm party, you guys.
It was something I've never experienced before.
The sitting is a tradition where people just sit in long tables
It's called långbord.
You have like these meals prepared by the students
And then they like....
Have this
also like this short
Stage?
They just wrote skits and they
performed them.
It was so amazing.
We also had drinking games and drinking songs.
and so every time they say skål you have to take a shot and
Oh my god you guys I was so drunk.
It was also the night of my flight. I was drunk before the flight
I want to thank to my Danish friend if you're seeing this
Thank you so much for taking care of me.
He took me to the subway.
I was totally drunk.
I had like this vague fragments of memories of me falling on the dancing floor
Going into the kitchen eating a lot of things.
saying goodbye to everyone drunkenly...
I managed to go, I managed to get back home.
I became sober...
once I was in the subway, I guess.
I remember, like, realizing
sitting in the subway like...
Wait!
Am I really taking a flight today?
Apparently, it's not just in Denmark. It's also in Sweden.
I had no experience like that at all, you guys! Nothing at all!
We didn't really have student life in Tel-Aviv, it was like
It was like either you would live in Tel Aviv, and you go out
Or you go to study and live where I live.
With my parents.
Which is...
It's not Tel-Aviv.
Not just that but like I really love the culture there in Sweden.
It's the people
It's.. it's the weather.
I know people are like afraid of the cold but
You guys. the Israeli summer....
is hell.
There's lot of humidity...
Like, literally, you sweat all the time.
You cannot smell good in the summer
So I can't wait for like the Swedish summer, which is mild and they have sun until midnight
So, I mean it sounds like a great experience
They have this tradition called fika
which is basically having like this break and drinking coffee.
And even though I drink tea
It's because, I like, drank already two cups of coffee.
So you guys I'm just showing a proof of the fact that I drink lots of coffee
Why the flash is working?
I drink a lot of coffee.
So I think I can really get along with Swedes and you can take me to fika every time you want.
I will never say no.
So...
Skål?
I'm just like swallowing the tea in front of you guys.
It's just getting colder and I want to finish it before get cold and icky.
So what I really love about Sweden and in Europe in general...
it's the great public transportation
Oh my god, you guys you don't know how much important it is to me!
I am a public transport activist in Israel.
I am...
Taking the credit for myself. I'm not really an activist.
I talk about public transportation all the time because in Israel it just sucks!
So for people who are going to Eurovision, good luck.
Let the hunger games begin.
But in Europe! It's so efficient!
They have they have light rain. They have a metro. They have they have fast trains. They have buses that
Go out in time and come in time and
And they have seats to sit on.
The line, of the train
If wanna, like, go to work in Tel-Aviv...
It's so busy
in rush hours.
People don't have like place to sit or stand, okay?!
One of the most important reasons like
The quality of education in Sweden is amazing.
Even...
Universities that are rated "low"...
They have still great, great reputation.
And Lund University is one of the best
100 universities in the world.
No, you know what? There's one...
More important reason.
Like, I think it's the most important reason.
Swedes.
They...
are good-looking.
They're tall.
They are blond.
They have...
Okay, you guys I'm sorry. It's very superficial, but look at me: very short
Dark...
But nice
not fit
But nice.
They, they... they just have great genes.
Let's be honest.
And before... Before you say I'm racist.
even the Swedes that their parents
immigrated to Sweden
Especially the mixed ones are even hotter.
Eric Saade.
He is mixed with Swede and I think Palestinian parents. I am not sure about that.
He's
Like stunning.
We also have Alexander Skarsgård.
Which is...
Yeah, he's totally, like the typical Swede.
But I mean, how good looking he is oh my god
I'm, I'm, I'm
Almost fainting.
We have...
This guy that played in the...
What's his name?
He's really handsome.
Maybe a major part of the reason I'm moving to Sweden is I want to find a husband
Or a Sambo.
Whatever you want.
I think, I think I'm a great candidate for a Swede
I'm exact... the exact opposite and opposites attract
And I'm also mixed. I'm also Middle Eastern, I'm also European.
I think, I think, I think I have what it takes
You know...
And I'm nice.
These are the reasons. Some of them are really dumb
Some of them are really like obvious
obviously like
Reasonable and logical.
And next time, I'm going to talk with you guys
About how is it like to study
In Tel Aviv University.
Which I studied there.
And you're free to ask questions about how is it like to study in Israel in general.
I'm so so so happy to hear from you guys and thank you for the new subscribers

Hej då (goodbye)!
L'itrahot
Bye bye!
I might not have a date for Valentine's yet
not that I believe in Valentine's.
Valentine is just a capitalist scheme.
To make people want to buy greeting cards.
And heart-shaped chocolates and and and make me feel alone...
But like if a Swede wants to be my Valentine date
next year...
I might believe in this capitalistic scheme...
And...
Go along with like the heart-shaped chocolates and greeting cards.
And...
like how much you love me and want to marry me and
Etc...
