Youtube daily want Feb 16 2019

Oh my god, you guys I was so drunk!

I was drunk before the flight.

Hej alihopa, I hope you're having a great weekend. So excited to see you again!

For those who don't know me

I'm Idan.

This channel is Idan in Sverige, which means in Swedish: Idan in Sweden.

I'm not in Sweden yet.

But I'm on the road to study in Sweden, which is exactly the topic we're gonna talk about today.

Did you like the new intro?

I kinda worked on it. I don't know if it's gonna be the final result

But I want to hear your opinion.

So some of you probably are curious like how is... how did it start?

My decision to study in Sweden or just study abroad at all.

Where is it?

So...

Here's my...

European passport.

Long story short, my grandfather

Was Bulgarian which means I can study in Europe.

For free.

This is what made me kind of realize that I have this amazing opportunity

Not everyone gets this chance. So why not use this?

and try something new

I've been contemplating studying abroad for a while before

I felt like I want to get take a little break from my country

As you know, Israel has tons of drama and I love drama, but sometimes there's just too much....

tea spilled.

I... I know it's terrible.

I'm going to attempt to answer

The question why in Sweden?

I had a little Swedish accent.

Sweden.

My romance with Sweden began...

when I started watching

The Bridge, bron.

I became interested in Swedish culture.

The fact that Eurovision...

has been in Stockholm in 2016,

and I went there. Thanks to my lovely parents that bought it for my birthday.

I appreciate it, you guys, if you watch this.

If you don't...

You probably don't, because I'm kind of embarrassed to show it to you.

When I was in Stockholm, I fell in love I came back to Stockholm a year after.

And...

Then I came back again to Sweden

To Lund, where I want to study.

Lund is such an amazing small city!

I have pictures from Lund, I'll show it to you.

I've been there in November 2018.

Gorgeous, there was like Christmas decorations.

It looks like a small town, but it has like...

facilities of a city.

It's close to Malmö.

It's close Copenhagen. it's amazing.

I fell in love completely

I'm so excited

I really hope I'll get accepted.

But it's not up to me anymore, because I have sent all the documents.

All the motivation letters.

I wrote four!

I also had to

ask for two recommendation letters.

It was a whole process! Now I'm just waiting for results.

so I thought it would be also fun to

have a timer for when I get results from this video and on.

So my Danish friend invited me

To a sittning.

I didn't know that was the name of this thing.

He just said there's going to be a dorm party or whatever.

It was more than a dorm party, you guys.

It was something I've never experienced before.

The sitting is a tradition where people just sit in long tables

It's called långbord.

You have like these meals prepared by the students

And then they like....

Have this

also like this short

Stage?

They just wrote skits and they

performed them.

It was so amazing.

We also had drinking games and drinking songs.

and so every time they say skål you have to take a shot and

Oh my god you guys I was so drunk.

It was also the night of my flight. I was drunk before the flight

I want to thank to my Danish friend if you're seeing this

Thank you so much for taking care of me.

He took me to the subway.

I was totally drunk.

I had like this vague fragments of memories of me falling on the dancing floor

Going into the kitchen eating a lot of things.

saying goodbye to everyone drunkenly...

I managed to go, I managed to get back home.

I became sober...

once I was in the subway, I guess.

I remember, like, realizing

sitting in the subway like...

Wait!

Am I really taking a flight today?

Apparently, it's not just in Denmark. It's also in Sweden.

I had no experience like that at all, you guys! Nothing at all!

We didn't really have student life in Tel-Aviv, it was like

It was like either you would live in Tel Aviv, and you go out

Or you go to study and live where I live.

With my parents.

Which is...

It's not Tel-Aviv.

Not just that but like I really love the culture there in Sweden.

It's the people

It's.. it's the weather.

I know people are like afraid of the cold but

You guys. the Israeli summer....

is hell.

There's lot of humidity...

Like, literally, you sweat all the time.

You cannot smell good in the summer

So I can't wait for like the Swedish summer, which is mild and they have sun until midnight

So, I mean it sounds like a great experience

They have this tradition called fika

which is basically having like this break and drinking coffee.

And even though I drink tea

It's because, I like, drank already two cups of coffee.

So you guys I'm just showing a proof of the fact that I drink lots of coffee

Why the flash is working?

I drink a lot of coffee.

So I think I can really get along with Swedes and you can take me to fika every time you want.

I will never say no.

So...

Skål?

I'm just like swallowing the tea in front of you guys.

It's just getting colder and I want to finish it before get cold and icky.

So what I really love about Sweden and in Europe in general...

it's the great public transportation

Oh my god, you guys you don't know how much important it is to me!

I am a public transport activist in Israel.

I am...

Taking the credit for myself. I'm not really an activist.

I talk about public transportation all the time because in Israel it just sucks!

So for people who are going to Eurovision, good luck.

Let the hunger games begin.

But in Europe! It's so efficient!

They have they have light rain. They have a metro. They have they have fast trains. They have buses that

Go out in time and come in time and

And they have seats to sit on.

The line, of the train

If wanna, like, go to work in Tel-Aviv...

It's so busy

in rush hours.

People don't have like place to sit or stand, okay?!

One of the most important reasons like

The quality of education in Sweden is amazing.

Even...

Universities that are rated "low"...

They have still great, great reputation.

And Lund University is one of the best

100 universities in the world.

No, you know what? There's one...

More important reason.

Like, I think it's the most important reason.

Swedes.

They...

are good-looking.

They're tall.

They are blond.

They have...

Okay, you guys I'm sorry. It's very superficial, but look at me: very short

Dark...

But nice

not fit

But nice.

They, they... they just have great genes.

Let's be honest.

And before... Before you say I'm racist.

even the Swedes that their parents

immigrated to Sweden

Especially the mixed ones are even hotter.

Eric Saade.

He is mixed with Swede and I think Palestinian parents. I am not sure about that.

He's

Like stunning.

We also have Alexander Skarsgård.

Which is...

Yeah, he's totally, like the typical Swede.

But I mean, how good looking he is oh my god

I'm, I'm, I'm

Almost fainting.

We have...

This guy that played in the...

What's his name?

He's really handsome.

Maybe a major part of the reason I'm moving to Sweden is I want to find a husband

Or a Sambo.

Whatever you want.

I think, I think I'm a great candidate for a Swede

I'm exact... the exact opposite and opposites attract

And I'm also mixed. I'm also Middle Eastern, I'm also European.

I think, I think, I think I have what it takes

You know...

And I'm nice.

These are the reasons. Some of them are really dumb

Some of them are really like obvious

obviously like

Reasonable and logical.

And next time, I'm going to talk with you guys

About how is it like to study

In Tel Aviv University.

Which I studied there.

And you're free to ask questions about how is it like to study in Israel in general.

I'm so so so happy to hear from you guys and thank you for the new subscribers

I'm so grateful that you actually watch my videos and last video was like a real hit.

Hej då (goodbye)!

L'itrahot

Bye bye!

I might not have a date for Valentine's yet

not that I believe in Valentine's.

Valentine is just a capitalist scheme.

To make people want to buy greeting cards.

And heart-shaped chocolates and and and make me feel alone...

But like if a Swede wants to be my Valentine date

next year...

I might believe in this capitalistic scheme...

And...

Go along with like the heart-shaped chocolates and greeting cards.

And...

like how much you love me and want to marry me and

Etc...

Swap on cards as Serie A giants want Lukaku to replace £100m Man Utd target - Duration: 2:39.

Manchester United have been handed yet another boost in their pursuit of Mauro Icardi as

Inter Milan eye his replacement, a report claims.

Icardi has been with Inter since 2013, establishing himself as one of the club's most important

players and even being handed the armband. However, rumours have arisen recently that

his time with the Serie A giants could soon be coming to an end, with reports suggesting

issues have arisen over a contract renewal with the club.

It seem though that any chance of a long-term stay with the Nerazzurri is in serious jeopardy,

as the club announced on social media that he has been stripped of the captaincy.

A blunt tweet read: "The Club communicates that the new captain of the team is Samir #Handanovic #FCIM"

In addition, the San Siro club left him out of their squad to face Rapid Wien in the Europa

League on Thursday night, with his replacement Lautaro Martinez scoring the winner.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Argentine international as they

look for an upgrade on Romelu Lukaku, and the latest news from Italy hands them a major

boost. Calciomercato, via newspaper Corriere dello

Sport, suggest that Inter are 'planning for life without the 25-year-old' and have

drawn up a four-man shopping list of possible replacements.

Roma star Edin Dzeko, red-hot Sampdoria man Duvan Zapata and reported Liverpool target

Timo Werner are three of the names apparently being considered.

However, interestingly Lukaku's name also appears on that list, despite him having scored

just nine goals in 32 appearances for United this season.

He has even seemingly fallen out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, who

has tended to prefer Marcus Rashford up front. Icardi currently has a release clause of €110m

which seems to be the sticking point in negotiations over an extended stay with Inter, while United

paid £75m for Lukaku from Everton, meaning a possible swap could be on the cards.

Man City News - Newport can 'do whatever they want' to the pitch, says Guardiola - Duration: 3:15.

Pep Guardiola claimed it is Newport County's prerogative should the minnows wish to dirty their pitch

Manchester City are back away at lower league opposition in the FA Cup after the shock defeat by Wigan Athletic in last season's fifth round

Mansfield Town manager David Flitcroft hammered the Rodney Parade surface last week, revealing: 'We won't have to play on another pitch like that this season

' Guardiola, however, insisted City must 'adapt' to the turf and suggested their win at Tottenham in October will act as perfect practice

Rodney Parade also hosts rugby and women's internationals, with this tie the 63rd it has hosted this season – the same number City will play throughout the campaign should they go the distance in every competition

'We give them a lot of respect,' Guardiola said. 'They've done incredibly in this competition, beating Leicester and Middlesbrough

They can do whatever they want (with the pitch). What they do, they do really well

We've watched as many games as possible.'We played the Premier League at Tottenham when there were two NFL games three days before

If it happens in the Premier League then why shouldn't it happen lower down?'I've seen vintage games in England and all the pitches… it was normal

It was impossible to play on the grass. You don't win absolutely anything complaining about that

'Guardiola namechecked a number of Newport's squad before City made the trip to South Wales on Friday afternoon

And he has implored his stars to learn from the chastening night at Wigan. 'All of us, we know it'll be so tough,' Guardiola added

'If we think because it's a lower division then it's a big mistake. Hopefully we've learned from what happened at Wigan

'Normally in the league my players already know but they didn't know the players. Now they know a little bit

'They have strikers who score 14-15 goals. They have set pieces, the throw ins. They put the ball into the channels

'We'll suffer in our box because they are stronger than tougher than us. It'll be about which team controls those areas

Anything can happen. We'll take it seriously.'

Countries Want To Ban Tik Tok For THIS Reason - Duration: 4:20.

Lawmakers are saying that the wildly popular app tik tok has led to teens and young adults

participating in acts of cultural degredation.

They want the app to be completely banned in their country because of this.

Maybe if this comes to pass, other countries will follow.

Could this mean the beginning of the end of tik tok?

Welcome back to inform overload, I'm charlotte dobre.

On this channel we tell you about the most interesting viral news stories we find on

the internet.

HIT that subscribe for more and follow us on instagram.

There are a lot of shady things that go down on tik tok.

There is a lot of concern about the amount of extreme content, as well as sexually explicit

content on the app.

There are violent extremists and anti semetic content.

This is kind of a scary thing considering tik tok's userbase is primarily kids, teens

and young adults.

And it seems like lawmakers are starting to take notice, most notably in india.

Information technology minister of the indian state tamil nadu, Manikandan wants the app

banned in his state.

And now other lawmakers in india are following in his footsteps.

Thaminmun Ansari told the Central Legislative Assembly, 'I raised an issue forwarded to

me by community welfare workers that the mobile application tik tok was acting as a platform

for heated tdebates inimical to law and order and sharing of sexually explicit material.

Lawmakers are extremely concerned about the deepfake problem on tik tok, as well as the

staggering amount of bullying cases on the app.

According to a report from the New Indian Express, 36 teens contacted crisis lines about

cyberbullying that they had experienced on the app.

One person took their own life as a result of this bullying because so many people were

mocking the videos they would post on the app.

While speaking to the indian express, Ansari said the following ' look at saudia Arabia

or china, they all have a system to restrict such apps.

Most of the tik tok videos are nothing but dances and songs presented in a vulgar way.

Tik tok is extremely popular in Asian countries, including india.

20 million people in india use tik tok according to January statistics.

That's a lot of people who wouldn't be able to use the app.

A tik tok rep has said that they plan to hire a chief nodal officer based entirely in india

to better coordinate with law enforcement agencies.

They cited the fact that they have implemented measures to protect people against misuse,

like easy reporting mechanisms that enable users and law enforcement agencies to report

content that violates their terms of use and community guidelines.

India's culture and stance around promiscuity is a lot different than western countries.

I can't see western countries banning tik tok over the sexually explicit content.

I can see countries banning tik tok over the bullying problem that's so apparent on the

app.

Bullying is more of a culture on tik tok than it is on youtube and that's saying a lot.

It's a lot more severe than an app like instagram where the most someone can do is

post a negative comment.

When its just a negative comment, it's a lot easier to dismiss a bully on instagram.

You can even block certain keywords like ugly or fat using customized so that you never

even see mean comments like that.

. On tik tok, someone can respond to your post with another video.

You actually see the person's face while they are insulting you.

It holds a lot more weight.

It hurts more.

And whats more is, you cant stop someone from responding to your video, you can only block

them after they have bullied you.

Anyways guys, that's my two cents, tell me, do you think tik tok should be banned?

Let me know in the comments.

For now I'm going to respond to some comments from my video james Charles hits back at homophobic

troll.

Phantom Claw – who needs the news on tv when we have Io to watch.

Pugsley Arnold – I love these videos.

I watch all of them and im so happy when a new video comes out.

Awww aren't you just the cutest.

Eva Genesi – how many holes does a straw have.

Ummm that's a good question.

is it like,, one hole on each end?

So too?

Or just one hole through the whole thing?

MY BRAIN HURTS.

Nkkm – you taught me more about history than any of my teachers tried teaching me

for 10 years.

Awww its because I love history.

Favourite subject.

Especially history of costume and fashion, history of rock and roll and history of architecture.

Batmanfan forever - both charlotte and johnny wear makeup.

Yes I noticed.

Actually johnny doesn't wear makeup, I wear very little.

Especially when I have eyelash extensions.

Queen Royal - Bohemian Rhapsody shock: Rami Malek really did NOT want to do THIS in Freddie Mercury - Duration: 3:06.

Whatever the critics made of the movie, it has been a resounding and spectacular box office triumph

One thing everyone agrees on, however, is how extraordinary Rami Malek is in the lead role

He has been sweeping up awards across the board so far and looks set to complete the set at the Oscars next weekend

So it is a huge surprise to hear him describe something as a "lost cause" and say he "never wanted to be Freddie Mercury

" The US star was talking on the bonus features for the upcoming BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY home entertainment packages

The movie is available to digital stream and download this weekend and has a wealth of extras to delight fans

Malek was talking about the huge undertaking of becoming one of the most iconic and unique figures in modern entertainment

He said: "It's no easy feat to try to get remotely close." The actor quickly decided there was one thing he did not want to do

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY: RAMI MALEK HAS HUGE NEWS FOR UK FANS Malek said: "It's tricky when you set out to play Freddie Mercury you think, 'How am I ever going to fill those shoes?' There was a very complicated man who was trying to discover his identity

So I figured if I could start there I would be able to have the initial building blocks

"I was never going to be Freddie Mercury, nor did I want to be. I thought that was a losing cause

But as close as you can get with the help of hair and make-up to bring you into capturing his essence was just what I needed

"You don't want to mimic Freddie. You want to understand why he did what he did." BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY: RAMI MALEK'S GIRLFRIEND 'BIZARRE' FIRST REACTION There is no doubt Malek succeeded on every level

Queen legends Brian May and Roger Tayor helped shepherd the movie to the big screen across ten years and have repeatedly expressed their amazement at seeing their old friend and bandmate brough back to such uncanny life

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY IS OUT TO DIGITAL AND DOWNLOAD ON FEBRUARY 16, AND ON DVD AND BLU-RAY ON MARCH 3

We Want Every Color of This 40% Off Sweater With Hundreds of Reviews - US News - Duration: 6:44.

Sweaters come in many shapes and materials. Some are chunky knits, some are button-ups, some are pullovers, some are V-necks and some are crew necks

The list goes on. We're fans of them all, to be honest, but sometimes we just want to keep it simple, soft and sweet

The Fitted Crew Neck Sweater from has over 400 reviews and counting. It's a basic, but it's blowing shoppers' minds

One called it their "favorite staple," while another commented on its versatility, saying it's "perfect for snuggling up on the weekend or wearing to work

" For 40% off, this is a Deal with a capital D.    One common theme among shoppers is that they didn't get just one of this sweater

It's available in up to 12 colors, but in very limited quantities because shoppers keep scooping up every shade they can! Some colors are running out of sizes quickly, so we suggest picking a favorite and buying it as soon as possible!  This sweater is fitted all over

Its thin yet warm fabric clings comfortably, making it great to wear alone or with something else layered on top

It's also easy to tuck in because it won't bunch up under our bottoms!  This sweater has a round crew neckline

If we want to change it up a little, we can wear a collared shirt underneath and let the collar stick out, or we can ditch the layers and throw on a detachable collar! Wow, we really are living in the future

One more subtle features of this sweater is its vertical ribbing, which becomes more prominent at the straight hem, the cuffs and the neckline

Shoppers love how this helps the sweater to not lose shape after multiple wears and how the fabric doesn't pill, either!    Let's take a closer look at these fabulous colors

We want to start with the ones that only have one or two sizes left so we don't waste any time

Currant is a deep berry purple, while Ultra Violet is a bold and vivid purple that stands out brilliantly against dark colors

Lean a little more red and we have Wine. Want to lighten it up? Go for Light Pink! Oatmeal is a clay-like tan color, which is a wonderful neutral, so we definitely understand its popularity

Lastly we have Soft Ivory, an almost-white that lets our makeup, bottoms and accessories shine

Also available is Wild Ginger, a mix of deep red with a slight brown tint that almost creates a dusty pink

Impala is similar to Oatmeal, but more on the lighter beige side of the spectrum, still working perfectly as a neutral

Olive Green is a deep, earthy green that pairs well with denim of all shades, and looks especially great with gold accents, whether they be from our shoes or our eyeshadow

Citrine, on the other hand, is a bright yellow that has the ability to cheer us up on a dreary day as soon as we put it on

Finally, we have Deep Teal and Neon Orange, two vastly different yet equally fabulous colors

Deep Teal is so versatile that we almost want to label it as a neutral, but its color is just too rich

Great job by law enforcement in Aurora, Illinois. Heartfelt condolences to all of the victims and their families. America is with you!

I am monitoring the situation in Aurora, Illinois. This is a scary, sad day for all Illinoisans and Americans. Thank you to the brave first responders who risked their lives this afternoon and apprehended the shooter.

May the memory of those that we lost today be a blessing and more than that, may their memory fuel our work to bring peace to this state we call home.

My heart breaks for Aurora. Im tracking updates on the situation with my staff. Thank you to the members of law enforcement who are responding to the emergency.

The goal is to get Trumps stupidest voters to say HES FIGHTING! No hes not. If he signs this bill, its over.

No, the goal of a national emergency is for Trump to scam the stupidest people in his base for 2 more years.

Nancy can warn all she wants about the consequences of a national emergency but lets be honest, shes nervous she wont get the influx of illegals crossing the border and into her voting bloc. Good for you showing Nancy who her President is!!

If a national emergency is a tool in the toolbox....lets go full Tool Time on these Democrats and use absolutely every asset at our disposal to build the damn wall!

The emergency thing should be a win either way.Either we get a wall, or the courts establish precedent checking presidential power.Except, that checking will never be applied to a Democrat president. So the hell with it.

I wouldnt be too unhappy about limits on POTUS power, but the simple fact is those limits will never be applied, formally or informally, to a liberal, so screw it.If its going to be about power instead of law, then power it is.There cannot be two sets of rules.

National Emergency! There have been 58 national emergency acts since 1976 and 31 are still activeThere is precedent to get this done, our border is a domestic threat and a national security issueOur open border costs us hundreds of billions a yearGo Trump Go

When the Guy You Want to Date Joins the Seminary - Duration: 11:43.

- And he's like, "Oh it's,

in Indiana by Notre Dame."

I'm like, "Awesome.

I'm okay with a long distance relationship."

And then he said, "It's a seminary."

I decided, it's okay, it's all right.

Maybe he'll discern out.

I kept waiting.

My mom thought I was a little crazy,

and she's like, "Did you know there's some boys

who---I heard there's this boy who

wanted to go out on a date with you, and I

was like, "Yeah, no, not interested."

He probably mentioned like four times in

one conversation, like, "I'm not for sure

gonna be a priest, you know. Like, I'm just

discerning. I might not."

I know, right?

(Audience laughs)

I knew, I could just tell, he cared so

much but he didn't know. He did not know

how I felt. And if I said something

it would change everything.

But I felt in

my heart that the Lord was saying, "Do not."

And it

(She begins to play heartfelt music)

It was heart breaking in the best way.

(Singing soulfully) Not a day goes by,

that I don't think of him.

I remember his voice.

I wonder how he's been.

And I'm not asking if he's

thinking of me, too.

It's enough to trust I'm loved

by you.

After this heartbreak that I explained to you,

the Lord worked in a tremendous way.

And very swiftly, now that my heart was

broken open.

I went on this pilgrimage to Europe and the

theme was "A New Heart," and I'm telling you

what. Just like (snapping noise)

the Lord did a tremendous work in my heart.

Do you remember my Confirmation Crush?

He had come back into my life as a friend.

He was trying to date me and I was like, "No,

I'm in love with a seminarian. It's complicated,

you know?"

And um...

And yet, somehow the Lord changed my heart and

I saw my Confirmation Crush, his name is

David, I saw that he was

everything I

could ever desire to have in a spouse,

and finally for the first time my heart was truly

open to him.

And I could tell you a whole other story just

about that, but I will shorten it by saying

we got married and we lived happily ever after, and

we had a bunch of kids.

We have four, by the way.

So, just shortly into my engagement,

he had come back to town on a break from school.

And David knew about this and he said, "Yeah,

I think that would be great for you to finally

have this conversation."

Not in the way that I had always thought, right,

as a kid.

But I sat across the table and I just told

him all that he had meant to me, and, I was

so grateful for who he was in my life.

And he said,

"Really, because when I found

out you were engaged I was like 'Man!' 'Cause

I always had the biggest crush on you, too."

And then he said, "It's not too late, is it?"

And I laughed like you're laughing, 'cause

I thought he was joking.

He wasn't joking!

Okay, he asked me three times in the

course of this conversation, "Do we still have

time to talk about this?"

And I'm like, "No! I'm engaged! You're going

to be a priest, are you kidding me!?"

But by the last time that he asked, it was like

with tears in his eyes, he was really serious, and

wanted to know, am I okay.

Am I choosing David because I really believe

this is where God is calling me.

And I said, "Yes, I really believe and I'm so happy."

And he said, "Okay, good, then I'm happy, too."

How do you think I felt after that?

Upset! I was like, "What? What is this?

Now you're here? Now you're asking me?"

Right? I have a song about it called "Bad Timing."

I'm not gonna play it tonight, but if you

want to listen to it online later you'll be

like, "I feel that." Right? You know?

His fully name is Matthew Edward.

And, Matthew Edward Fase,

but now most

people call him Father Matt.

And

he's here tonight.

Do you feel the tension in this room?

Do you feel the tension?

That is glorious!

Stay there! Stay there!

Father Matt, Father Matt.

Do you know what a slow clap is?

(Audience clapping)

(Amanda) Father Matt Fase!

- Okay, so in my defense

(Audience laughing)

the whole time that I'd known Amanda, and

when we would get together for these retreats,

and things. She was always amazing.

And clearly,

clearly out of my league. But that was

okay.

There was a joy

and a love for life

and for God that was so evident just being around

her. And just being a part of that was amazing.

As I entered the seminary, I entered because

I thought God might be calling me to the

priesthood,

maybe.

I was pretty unsure. I was eighteen, and I knew

just enough to know that I didn't know

anything.

So I entered the seminary because I needed

a place to discern. Was God calling me

to this life?

And I thought, "Well, it'll only be one year.

And then I'll realize, no, I'm not called

to this and that'll be the end."

But at the end of that first year I really loved it.

The way that I was growing and the things

that I was learning about who God was

and who I am...it was beautiful.

I stayed in another year, and another year.

I stayed in about nine years.

But along this journey, a big part of it

was this question of celibacy.

Is this a part of the priesthood that I

could really live?

Is a part of our religious vows that I could

live well?

So one of the things they told us, our formators,

was, "It's important to ask

the question

and to think about what that would be like

to not have a wife. To not have a family.

But when you can think about it

in specific terms that helps clarify it

sometimes.

So I thought, well who's someone I

could think about?

I'd seen that Amanda was really doing some

great work in ministry. She was spreading her

music more and more. She had a website with

a bunch of updates, so I checked that website

any time I didn't want to do homework.

Which was

(Audience laughs)

a lot.

Later I found out the website tracked that stuff.

Kind of embarrassing.

So I knew what Amanda was up to, and I was

just so proud that she was able to go around

proclaiming the Gospel. So I also thought

what would it be like to not be with Amanda.

I already wasn't, I knew what that was like.

But in the future, too, what would it be like

to not have a family?

To not have children?

Those questions. They're deep questions.

And I found that while I really desired that,

there was also a great sense of peace about it.

And in that, as well, I started praying deeply

for Amanda.

I started praying that the Lord would protect her,

watch over her, guide her. That the Lord

would keep all the guys who might hurt her

or lead her astray far from her.

And that the Lord would bring the right

man into her life.

A good man.

A man who's better than me.

Because what I wanted, more than anything else,

I found, as I was praying about Amanda, and

about myself, that I wanted Amanda to thrive.

I really wanted her to do well. To continue this

beautiful ministry, and to continue to grow

in her love for God.

And also,

the way I worded

that prayer, it still could've been me.

(Audience laughs)

If that's what the Lord wanted I was gonna leave

that option open.

So this had been my prayer for Amanda for a few

years.

So when she told me that she always had a crush on

me I thought, "What do you mean?"

So I was taken aback.

But the beauty, then, that I saw in that conversation

was the way that she talked about David, and I could

see that my prayers really had been answered.

That the Lord had protected her through

me in ways that I didn't even know.

In guarding her heart and helping her grow.

And that the Lord had brought the right man

into her life.

A good man

A man who is better than me. And it was

with great peace that I was able to see that

in Amanda's life.

Divine providence, God's action in our life,

is a beautiful thing. It's a confusing thing.

It's a chaotic thing.

And it's a thing that I truly believe we

can only see best in retrospect.

That when we look back on the path of our life,

we can see how God has been guiding us.

How God has been leading us and

protecting us, to bring us to where we

are today.

What a great gift that is.

But that doesn't always help us see it in

the moment.

We can notice God's providence behind us,

but we can't always see it right here today.

And so the gift that our faith gives us in this

is calling us to trust, that even if, right now,

we cannot see how God is leading us, we can't

see how God might be with us, in the midst of the

chaos. In the midst of our relationships

or our broken relationships. We can trust

that if we continue to seek His will in

the future, we'll be able to see where

God is now. We'll be able to know that

God is with us. Even here. In the midst of the

confusion, in the midst of the cross.

- So Father Matt is the godfather

of one of

my daughters. He baptized our youngest daughter.

And, my husband, David, and Father Matt are

dear friends. And Father Matt's an extended part

of our family, now.

So, like, whoa. God's providence, right?

Like, God's love is way---

like, I really wouldn't think

we'd be here. I mean, I would think

we'd be here, but not like this.

Did you get that? Did you catch that? Okay.

(Audience laughs)

Would you step down here with me, Father Matt?

Okay, guess what? Father Matt and I

just wrote a book together called "When God

Wrecks your Romance".

(Audience laughs)

I am not joking.

(Spunky, upbeat music plays)

Michael Owen and Joe Cole believe current players will want to join Chelsea over Arsenal - Duration: 3:20.

Chelsea and Arsenal are both underperforming at the moment.   The Blues are still reeling from a 6-0 humiliation at Manchester City last weekend, while The Gunners suffered a shock defeat to BATE Borisov on Thursday evening

Managers Maurizio Sarri and Unai Emery are both said to be feeling the pressure after making almost identical starts to their tenures in London

Arsenal and Chelsea are level on points in the Premier League but as if that wasn't similar enough, they also have the exact same goal difference too

On top of that, they're both competing in the Europa League and at this moment in time, appear to offer quite similar experiences to their players

But, according to Michael Owen and Joe Cole, there's one club that is still far more appealing than the other - and they believe current players would be drawn to Chelsea over Arsenal

PREFERRING A MOVE TO WEST LONDON  "Chelsea and Arsenal are virtually mirror image," Owen said while covering the Europa League on BT Sport last night, per the Mirror

"They're on the same points in the Premier League, on the same goal difference in the Premier League, and in the same round of the Europa League

"It's pretty much a level playing field, but which team would you prefer to play for?  "Which team do you look at and go, wow what players, a good team? Everyone says Chelsea are under a big cloud, but I'd prefer Chelsea every day of the week over Arsenal

"  Following on from that point, Joe Cole, who was sat alongside Owen, explained why a move to Chelsea should still appeal to current players

DEMAND TO WIN  "Because the expectation is that they (Chelsea) have always got to be there (competing for titles), which Chelsea have been for the last 20 years," the former Blues winger explained

"With Arsenal, they're probably not going to win anything, they're in a ten-year transitional period

Chelsea demand to win things.  "If you're a player, you'd much rather move to Chelsea than Arsenal, there's a better quality of player there and you've got more chance of winning things

"  So, despite struggling under Sarri this season, two former Premier League stars believe that Chelsea are still a more appealing club than Arsenal

But whether their feelings are shared by current players will only be seen in the next transfer window, when the Blues will undoubtedly try to strengthen their squad

U.S Biggest Labor Organization Tells Game Devs to Unionize & Devs Want Activion Blizzard's CEO Fired - Duration: 3:45.

Is it time for games industry workers to start unionizing?

America's biggest labor group says it is.

And it might be time to fire Activision's CEO.

I'm Demothy Tien and THIS -- is the Weekly Roundup.

This is one of the biggest weeks in the gaming industry in terms of trying to make a change.

A major figure in one of America's largest labor groups is calling for game developers

to start unionizing.

AFL-CIO's secretary-treasurer Liz Shuler posted an open letter on Kotaku asking games

industry workers to fight against toxic work conditions.

As many of us know -- development crunch is a huge issue in the games industry.

A lot of developers have to deal with inadequate pay and ridiculous work hours.

Shuler specifically called out Rockstar Games as a major offender stating quote

"Developers at Rockstar Games recently shared stories of crunch time that lasted for months

and even years in order to satisfy outrageous demands from management, delivering a game

that banked their bosses $725 million in its first three days."

Remember how Rockstar's President Dan Houser seemed to brag about staff working 100-hour

weeks to develop Red Dead Redemption 2?

Those numbers are ridiculous and while several employees spoke out about their experiences

not actually being that bad, and Houser clarified about it being a select few individuals actually

doing it -- Rockstar still has a pretty bad track record when it comes to crunch -- and

they're not the only ones with that type of history.

News outlet Variety mentions the unfortunate event with Telltale laying off most of their

staff with no advanced notice or severance pay.

And it seems this is becoming more common as more and more games industry workers have

been getting laid off.

Just this week Activision-Blizzard announced they were laying off nearly 800 employees.

So basically what Shuler is saying is workers in this field should stop letting these executives

take advantage of them.

She says the gaming industry is too successful for developers to experience the kind of working

conditions they're getting.

She also mentions how video game sales last year reached $43-billion-dollars which is

more than 3 times bigger than the film industry's record-breaking box office.

This isn't necessarily the first call for unionization in the industry -- but it's

definitely one of the biggest coming from an organization that oversees over 12-million

U-S workers and over 50 labor unions.

And to piggy back off this story -- Grassroots labor organization Game Workers Unite is ALSO

calling for a change.

Going back to Activision-Blizzard laying off almost 800 workers -- the organization is

calling for the company to fire C-E-O Bobby Kotick.

The group tweeted out saying quote "Upending 800 workers' lives while raking in millions

in bonuses for you and your c-suite buddies isn't leadership, it's theft.

We, the workers of Activision and their friends, have had enough.

Join us in saying that it's time to #FireBobbyKotick."

The massive layoff was part of a quote "de-prioritizing of initiatives that didn't meet expectations"

which is a little fishy since according to this article by Variety -- the publisher reported

RECORD revenues last year.

Game Workers Unite also mentions how Kotick reportedly makes $30-million-dollars a year

and is one of the highest paid C-E-Os in the world.

The group goes on to state "It's disgusting to hear Kotick boasting about record revenue

for the company then announcing an 8% staffing cut in the next breath." and just before

that mentions how "if we divided Kotick's obscene annual pay it alone could pay full

salaries for all 800 laid off workers."

The organization started a petition on coworker.org that's reached over 2000 signatures as of

this recording.

So what do you think?

Are you planning to support this petition?

And do you think unionization is going to gain more traction in the games industry?

Let us know in the comments and if you like your stuff -- get subscribed and follow us

on Facebook and Twitter.

That's all for now and I'll catch you guys next time.
