What's up guys, it's Humayun and in today's video I'll show you how to
assemble a normal water pump that you can buy from eBay Amazon or your local
fish store. And I'll also show you, how to use that water pump for two different
functions. One is to run the filtration system of the aquarium and the other one
is for the aeration system. Water pump that i am un-boxing right now cost me $19 on ebay.
The flow rate of this pump is 2000 liter an hour. Which is pretty good for the price i have paid.
And it also comes with suction cups and flexi hose.
Let's see what's inside the box, there is a flexi hose and an air tube.
The pump itself, the pipe, suction cups and an adapter.
This is pretty much what you can expect from any generic brand. There's no instructions on how to
assemble the pump so what I'm doing now is just looking at the picture on the display
box and I'm just assembling it according to that photo. But it's pretty
easy, only took me maybe a couple of minutes, there are not not many parts to attach.
Total length of the pump is adjustable, you can just skip one of the hose to make it shorter.
Since it's made in China, the supplier has also provided me an adapter to use it here.
And that's pretty much it, the only thing left is to just connect the hose
to the pump and the other end of the hose can be connected to overhead sump
filter or canister filter or any filtration system
you are planning to use in your aquarium. All right guys time to do some demonstration now
as you can see the suction cups are holding the pump well. And this is the
flow rate this pump is gonna give me, it is supposed to be 2000 liter an hour and by the
look of it, yeah it is pretty good and I'm happy with this.
And i have closed the other two outlets on the pump that's meant to be for circulating the water inside the
aquarium. And water flow will reduce a bit once I remove this cap.
So i have moved the pump to the side. I just want to show you some more cool features in this pump.
so pressure is not bad before it's blowing at a high rate. I just want to
show you water circulation, another feature in here.
So it is pumping out water from here as well.
Now there is another opening for some air bubbles.
I'll show you that soon.
Here you go guys, all you gotta do is to just connect air tube to the pump.
And make sure the other end of the air tube is not inside the water and it will pump all
the air bubbles in the water and if you look at the disturbance in the water
right now, that's pretty good, that's pretty decent and flow rate of the water is
really good and the way it's pumping air in the water is pretty good.
And you won't need an air stone and air pump to oxygenate the tank.
Now i am just testing the flow rate of the water in a container. And i have used this container
to build aquarium top filter and you can watch that video. A step by step
