How to Make a Beautiful Floral Gift Card Set! - Duration: 14:13.

hi it's Therese from Lostinpaper and I am so excited to be here as guest

designer with Spellbinders! they sent me a collection of stamps created by

Stephanie Low and the collection is called just add color and they are

beautiful I don't know I think that Spellbinders- might know something about me

and my love for flowers what do you think? Aren't they beautiful?

So today I'm going to be making a set of gift cards so I started by choosing the

stamps that I wanted to use and these are red rubber cling stamps so you can

use them with your blocks or you can use them with your MISTI tool and I stamped out

a stack of these and because they're red rubber they stamp beautifully and I used

a Copic friendly ink because I thought it would be fun to do some coloring

today and I did cover this whole sheet of stamps and I had a blast I did two

different styles of coloring today so I'm going to share a couple of flowers

and some leaves with you just to show you the process but I won't share them

all because we would be here all day, like I was, but it's fun I gotta say I

had so much fun. I don't always follow the rules when it comes to using my

Copic color families together I like to sort of mix them up sometimes I like the

colors that it gives me it does change the the tone of the colors so you can

get a whole different look and I don't have every Copic color

so I like to use what I have rather than feel like I need to go out and buy every

Copic color so I shaded two of the RV pinks I used the darker one on the inner

portion of the petal and then shaded it out with the lighter one as you normally

would do but I've come in with the BV00 to add the shadowing and I think

that the purple worked really well but to me it made it too purpley so I will

show you how I fix that in just a minute so because I'm

stamping and coloring for a set of cards I find that when I'm doing this I do

like to actually kind of make everything matchy matchy so it looks similar and

what I can do then is actually change things up so that they look like they

are meant to be together and coordinate but I don't get bored because if I was

making the same card over and over I would be so bored, and I wouldn't get

to use all of these beautiful flowers so I look at coloring a big sheet of

flowers like this as 'Copic coloring practice' and fun of course! alright so

I'm coming in with the BV again and I'm looking at it thinking it just does look

a bit too purple for my liking so what I'm doing here is I've actually bought

back in the RV 13 which is the darker RV color that I was using and just blending

that straight over top of the purple and what that does is it actually makes the

color back to a pink tone again and I think that worked perfectly so the

leaves that did make a nice bright green and this is probably my favorite lime

green color combo with the YG family they are a really pretty group of greens

and I use them all the time I have the refills that's how much I use them so

this is my second style of coloring and I'm going for more of a messy look which

is almost getting kind of a watercolor look using the Copic markers I'm trying

not to think too much about it I am coming in with my lighter color first

that's RV02 and actually just smooshing some color but focusing it on

the inside portion of the petals and making sure to leave some of the white

space on some of the petals and then I'm doing the same with the RV13 I'm coming

back in with that again and adding less this time less of the dark color

Now this is a really really simple way to color with copics and anyone can do

it so if you don't have confidence with all the shading and mixing of colors

this is a really great technique to try and it's a good way to learn your colors

and what they look like together as well so these are the leaves that I'm going

to coordinate with the messy flowers so I have colored them in a similar fashion

I have kept them almost watercolor look and leaving some white space on those as

well most of them are going to be hidden because I'm going to be creating a

wreath with this particular set of flowers and I thought I'd share just one

more flower with you because I did come in with my orange, it's orange and pink

combo it's my all-time favorite combo and today I coordinated it with gray as

well so I think I've got a new favorite combo bright orange hot pink and gray it

makes me happy. so these flowers I sort of did a combination between like the

perfect blend and the messy look and I think after I do my base colors what I

like to do sometimes it's come in with another color and actually add like a

final layer of shading and it just has to be slightly darker than the previous

colors that I've colored like on this orange flower I came in with the YR24

at the end and I found just by leaving a few streaks in the actual coloring it

gives it a more natural look so I'm going to start working on the panels

that are sitting on the front of my cards I have them all cut just slightly

smaller than the A2 card base and I'm going to cut the first three with the

Nestabilities circles and the next three I'm going to be doing some tone on

tone stamping for the backgrounds so these three pieces of gray cardstock

I'm stamping with the gray ink I am actually going to coordinate the stamps

that come in the sets together so the floral stamp that I coordinate with the

background stamp actually come in the same sets so this is the mandala

blossoms stamp and it has a little beautiful little bouquet that I curl it

up and you'll see that when I put that on put all the cards together at the end

this second set is the Peonies Blossoms set which is also really pretty and I

think that this makes a lovely tone on tone background and then when you add

the bouquets to it it just brings it to life so when I'm stamping a background I

like to make sure that I stamped some of the images of the edges of the card if

I'm using two different sized stamps I usually use my larger stamps first and I

also make sure that I rotate the stamp so it's at different orientations and

these leaves they're from the botanical feather set which has a bouquet a

feather and quite a few different leaves to choose from now all of the

backgrounds I did splatter some white ink spray I don't actually spray the ink

I disconnect the spray nozzle out of the bottle and

just tap it over top and then I set it aside to dry because it takes ages

All the sentiments come from the same stamp set which is the thanks expressions it's

actually a die and stamp set, it's awesome but it has all this great little

sentiments in it and so I've used that on all of the cards I stamped some in

black ink and I embossed some in white and I also embossed some for the gray

card bases on a darker gray and embossed those in white as well so the

trick here is what I do stamp out the sentiment in embossing ink

add my embossing powder and then I'll stamp again and once I've got them all

stamped just hit them with the heat tool all at

the same time just have to be careful not to touch the powder when you're

stamping I did prep it with the powder tool so I had to remove that powder I do

wait for the stamp embossing powder to cool down a

little bit before I do that and then I just cut my little sentiments into

strips now all of the panels I've popped up with some fun foam today and I used

some strong adhesive tape to do that with and then all of my cards are top

fold cards so that they do coordinate as a set of gift cards and all the colors

coordinate there's lots of dimension in all of these, I love dimension I also

do like to do fairly clean and simple cards but if I'm going to have something

I think by adding some dimension and some foam squares it really gives the

cards some of that wow factor I think these three gray ones turned out really

pretty actually I liked them all the flowers are what makes it! This is the

mandala blossoms it's a really pretty set and this particular flower when I

fussy cut it out I fussy cut right up to the edges I did a bit of both on these

cards some of the flowers and leaves I fussy cut leaving a white border others

I cut them straight up to the edge there is no rhyme or reason into why I did

what with what it was what I felt like

so each card is similar but the layout is

slightly different you could actually keep the same layout for all of the

designs and just change up the flower bouquets there's so many options

and for the final gray design I actually added two separate flowers here and

popped my sentiment overtop of the flowers I know that freaks some people

out but I really like my sentiment to sit on top and you can still see the

flowers like I said lots of dimension

so now it's time to work on the circle window cards I did actually come in and

splatter some extra gray cardstock with some of the white ink spray and I'm

gonna attach that directly to the front of my top fold card just using some tape

runner and I have popped this panel up on some foam foam with some strong

adhesive but it's hard to see because the fun foam is exactly the same color

as the card stock but I promise you it's there now these beautiful flowers are

from the large peonies stamp set and there's quite a few peonies in this

release and I hope to have another card coming up very soon to share with you

using the peonies bundle it's called which is another beautiful set but to

consider layering one of the flowers behind the window but changed my mind

right this one's from the loves me loves me not and probably the most clean and

simple card design that I make today and I did actually add just a white

sentiment and a white window I just thought it would be too much to have the

colored cardstock on the front of this one and I fussy cut that one out leaving

the white border I thought it would be easier and here's my final card and I

decided to create a wreath and that's why I cut the circle a little bit lower

on this panel I'm using some tape runner again just to adhere all the flowers and

leaves although I actually the final... I'm lying, all right you got me

I actually popped up for the flowers just with some 1mm thick, a

really thin foam tape but I think this card turned out beautiful too

I hope that you've been inspired to make a set of floral gift cards today and I'd

like to say thank you to Spellbinders for letting me play with this collection

from Stephanie Low 'Just Add Color' and I did, lots of it, pink and orange and gray

oh that's a neutral so don't forget to Like and subscribe until next time bye

How to make Chocolate Custard Tart| Eggless No Bake recipe! - Duration: 7:14.

For the custard

half a liter of milk

this is at room temperature

and I've take out

half a cup

from the saucepan

3 tbsp of vanilla custard powder

add in

2 tbsp of

cocoa powder

add in some milk

to make a thick paste

Put the saucepan

on low heat

and add in

3 to 4 tbsp

of caster sugar or superfine sugar

Just keep stirring the milk

so that the sugar

doesn't burn at the bottom

After about a minute

the sugar would have dissolved

and it's time

to add in the chocolate paste

quickly resume the stirring

keep cooking this

on the low heat

and it'll be ready as soon

as it starts to thicken

and comes to just the boil

it has started to coat the whisk

That's about done

Let's check

yes

Did you see the bubble?

It's just come to the boil

so just turn off the heat

and let it cool down

Make sure

to cover the surface with cling film

Let the film touch the custard

and we'll let it cool

I'm using coconut biscuits

that I've made into crumbs for the base

you could use digestive biscuits

or arrowroot biscuit in its place

Take some of the crumbs

in a food processor or a mixie jar

add in a tablespoon of cocoa powder

and just run this

This is what we get

I'll add this

into the rest of the crumbs

If you're using a chocolate biscuit

then there's no need for you

to add in the cocoa powder

Quickly mix this up

so that it's well incorporated

You'll also need some melted butter

Add in

about 3 tbsp of melted butter

mix it and see how it goes

you can always add in more later

So, that's about 3 1/2 tblsp of butter

Once it resembles wet sand

then you know that it's ready

I have these mini tart shells (3")

with a loose bottom that I'm going to use

Add in some of the crumb mix

spread it out

to line the base

and the sides

Just take your time

with a spoon

to guide the biscuit crumbs

onto the sides as well

press hard

That's one done

Get on with the rest

Once they are all done

just put them in the fridge

for at least half an hour to chill

The custard has cooled down

Use a whisk

to mix it up

till it's nice and smooth

I've taken out about a cup of the custard

and to this

I'll add in some whipped cream

and mix it in

or rather fold it in lightly

to get mousse

I just got the bases out of the fridge

and I'll fill

one of the

tarts

with the custard

smooth out the top as best as you can

using a spoon

and I'l fill the rest of them

with the mousse

smooth out the top

and put them in the fridge for about 10 to 15 mins

For the first one

I'll just add in

a few cherries

and with some whipped cream

I'll just

pipe some stars

there you have the first one

I have some ganache

in a piping bag

and I'll just do a zig zag

I'll do a simple border for this one

choco chips

For the third one

I'm doing a ganche net on top

I'll just draw a border

with the ganache

to make it look neat

that's another one done

I'll keep them in the fridge till it's time

for me to serve them

These tarts may be topped with a variety of

fruits, nuts, chocolates

and candies

You could use edible decoration

to make them look pretty!

How to Make Funfetti Cookies - Duration: 4:34.

Hey everybody, it's Sam here from Sugar Spun Run and today I'm going to be showing you how to make Funfetti Cookies.

These sprinkle Funfetti Cookies are so colorful and fun to make they taste like a chewy sweet drop sugar cookie.

I think you're really going to love them. To get started, the first thing you're

going to need is one cup of butter. You're going to want to go ahead and

microwave this in a large heatproof bowl, and it's really important that you let

that butter cool for at least 5 to 10 minutes or until it's almost back to

room temperature before you add any more ingredients. If it's too hot when you add

your sugar, you're going to melt your sugar you're going to have a greasy

runny cookie dough that's never going to bake up into pretty funfetti cookies. So

make sure that butter has cooled. Once it has cooled, we are going to add 1 and 2/3

cup of granulated sugar. Stir these together until the butter and sugar are

nicely combined. We're also going to add 2 large eggs, and you do want these to be

at room temperature. You don't want to shock that butter that we just melted by adding cold eggs to it.

For flavor we'll add two teaspoons of pure vanilla extract.

We'll just stir these together now set this aside.

Now you're going to need a separate medium-sized bowl, and you're going to

need three cups of all-purpose flour.

we'll add two teaspoons of cornstarch, a teaspoon of baking powder, a teaspoon of, baking soda and a teaspoon of salt.

Whisk or stir your dry ingredients together until they're very well combined.

Now we're going to gradually add the dry ingredients into our wet

ingredients just stirring until everything is completely combined.

I'll usually add the flour in about three or four parts, because I found that if you

add it all at once, the dough is going to be really difficult to mix, and it's

going to be a lot harder to get everything well incorporated.

Once your wet & dry ingredients are combined, now you can add your sprinkles.

So you'll need about five tablespoons of your favorite sprinkle for this recipe.

What I like using is about three tablespoons of traditional sprinkles, or I

guess they're called jimmies in some places, and I also like to use

two tablespoons of nonpareils. The nonpareils just have a kind of

different texture, they add a little bit of crunch I just really like using them in funfetti cookies.

And you'll just want to stir these in until they're well incorporated into that batter.

Our funfetti cookie dough is going to needto chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, you're going to want to cover your bowl with a piece of plastic wrap.

and then we'll transfer this to the refrigerator.

So your dough can sit in the fridge for longer than 30 minutes if needed that's totally fine, but about 15 minutes before you pull it,

out of the fridge and before you scoop it you'll want to pre-heat your oven to

350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once that's preheated, we can go ahead and start

scooping out our cookie dough. I like to use a cookie dough scoop to portion out

my dough, and we're going to use about two tablespoons of dough per cookie.

You can just drop the cookies directly onto the baking sheet and cook them that way,

but to make them look nice and round when they're finished baking, I like to

just gently roll them between my hands to give them a rounder shape.

I will place these on our baking sheet about two inches apart, and as you can see I've

lined my cookie sheet with parchment paper that's just to make cleanup easier.

If you don't have parchment paper just put the cookies directly on an ungreased

cookie sheet. We'll bake these cookies and our 350 degrees Fahrenheit preheated

oven for about 12 minutes. Now the center should still seem a little bit underdone

when they come out of the oven, you're going to let them cool completely on the

baking sheet and that's what they're going to finish cooking up in the center without over baking and becoming dry.

So that is all there is to making colorful funfetti cookies. I really hope you guys enjoy today's recipe, and if you

try it out please leave me a comment and let me know what you think thank you so

much for watching and I'll see you next time.

How to make a Bloody Mary. The BEST hangover cure is with Hair of the Dog - Duration: 5:34.

Hey everybody and welcome to The Bedford Life & Company. My name is Alexis and

today I'm going to teach you how to make a bad ass Bloody Mary.

If you're already subscribed to this channel, well welcome back

but if you're new I would love if you would hit the subscribe button and the

Bell notification so you can stay up to date with new videos, product

recommendations and of course new merchandise from TheBedfordLife.com

Okay now I don't know about you but after many nights of mass consumption of

alcohol I've woke up the next morning and pretty much feel like a bus hit me

like backed up over me and is now parked on my skull in the morning and a Bloody

Mary is a perfect hangover cure all. Some people call it hair of the dog and I did

a little research so here's a little fun fact for you. The expression "hair of the

dog"originally referred to a method of treatment of a rabid dog bite - okay- by

placing the hair from that dog in the bite wound.

So basically last night's alcohol that makes you hate your life this morning is

really going alleviate some of the side effects that you're having. While

we're on the topic of dogs, I want to mention that I launched a new collection

of aprons for 2019 including this apron with doggy prints named after my very

talented friend Jody Whitsell, who painted this beautiful picture of my dog so make

sure you check her out. Alright so without any more delay put

your aprons on and let's get started. Here's what you'll need - vodka

horseradish sauce, Worcestershire sauce or Worcestershire sauce, sir

whoosh tires tiresome however the f&ck you say it. This is a hot sauce

I have Franks here because I put that sh*t on everything. Black pepper, paprika, tomato

juice. You're going need a lemon and a traditional Bloody Mary usually

just has celery sometimes I've seen it with olives but I have to admit I hate

olives. I find them like so gross yuck! So here's

a little spin that I love for my Bloody Mary. Shrimp, bacon, gherkin pickles and

celery with the leaves on. I give my lemon a little cut here because you only

need half of it. All right there we go. oh I almost forgot to mention you're going to need a skewer. Four cups of

tomato juice, a cup of vodka, the squeeze from half a lemon, make sure

you don't get any seeds in there, a couple dashes of hot sauce, I like things hot

If you've seen any of my videos you know I like hot. You can always make adjustments later. You'll

want teaspoon of black pepper a teaspoon of paprika. You want about four dashes of

this one two three four okay good enough and this stuff is my favorite like EVER!

I love it you don't like it- you don't have to

put it in but it does have healing properties I'm telling you. I'm going to add

another one just because I like it. Alright I'm making four cups which obviously I'm

not going drink all of it at one time so I don't add the ice until I pour it into

my glass. If you were to make this size like carafe and add ice once the ice

melts it just makes it more watery so just wait for the ice till the end. oh I

almost forgot something really important. We have pickles here but I like to add a

little bit of the juice the pickle juice now I'm going to pour this into here.

Give it a good shake. You want to make sure that

the lid is on tight hold it tight give it a good shake . Wow almost lost it there. I'm going to

give it a little taste to make sure it's just the way I like it.

holy crap that's good now here's the fun part now for the skewer

I'm going put bacon oh actually you know what let me put the gherkin on first so

it holds up the bacon. And there you go let me give it a taste

oh that is good it's got a nice spicy kick

I love pickles- it's got shrimp and bacon like you can't go wrong. this thing is awesome!

Even without a hangover, it's delicious alright guys I'm going go finish my

drink. Thanks for watching and see you guys soon bye.

GENERAL ELECTION 2019. SIMPLE AMAZING WAYS TO MAKE MONEY IN AN ELECTION - Duration: 7:12.

In an election there's the crowd

there's the noise' and there's the people

Have you ever heard " politics is a game of numbers"?

Now how do you use these numbers to your advantage, how do you make some money in an election

that's what am going to be talking about in this vide

Keep watching!

MUSIC ... BizNation Logo

Hello am Jino from BizNation

Kindly subscribe to this channel for weekly updates on quick small business tips

How do you make money from an election? during an election period or before an election period, how do you make some quick money

so I start from number one

have you seen an election campaign?

It looks like this

MUSIC

Did you the the crowd, did you see the people, how do you maximise all these for your ADVANTAGE?

Now in every election campaign, at the campaign venue, lots of people

So if you can get a business that between 1 - 10 percent of the people in that stadium to buy you

you are in good business

So the tips am going to be sharing in this video will teach how to make money from that crowd that we just saw

MUSIC

First thing am going to talk about is flags.

Am not talking about the big flags that you'd have to waive around

If you can make that, its good

But you surely wont make much sales as when you make little flags , hand flags

Flags that you can just waive with your hand

People are carried away with the publicity of their candidates

Publicity is part of election

so if you can make little flags with the face of the campaigning candidate

From local government to presidency

Just make flags an print on it vote for xxx

their fans and followers will buy

Its not hard to make and its easy to buy

you can sell for as low as 50 - 200 Naira

it would be difficult for someone in the campaign ground to say " I don't have 200 Naira to buy a little flag"

people always want to identify with the person that's campaigning

and so they'd just be waiving the little flag to show they too are followers of the political party

you're making your money

Like I've said before, if you can get 1 - 10 percent of the crowd in that stadium to buy your product, you are in MONEY

MUSIC

Again you can also make money from stickers

There are a lot of tricycle riders who are follower of various political party, that would gladly buy

so why can't you make money from them

Stickers are cheap and easy to make

just make stickers with the picture of their favorite candidates

You don't have to be partisan

you can make for one party and make for the other political party also

all you're doing is making your money

AND THAT'S ALL THIS CHANNEL IS ALL ABOUT

You can sell in bulk and others would help you sell in retail

if you can go through the stress of sell them yourself

there are a lot of young people that are not in any job

that doesn't have the opportunity to see this video

you can make in bulk , sell to them and let them do the retailing and help you populate that stadium with your product

they're selling , they're making their money and you are making your money

you're fighting unemployment with the ideas you are getting from this video

so make you SUBSCRIBE to this channel so you can get more business tips like this

MUSIC

There are lots of election volunteers, election observers that's not very conversant with the terrain

if you can get hooke to any of these groups

you can supply snacks, drinks and things like that

in a stadium full of people, you can still make money by supplying some of these basic human needs

on election day people can starve

sometimes you just get to some venues, the queue would be so long

am so happy we're beginning to use electronic systems in our voting, which has drastically reduced the queue

but there are still some centres that you'd see huge crowd

such that people can literarily faint for lack of water

you can provide snacks and things like that

and make some money from it

MUSIC

You can also become a poling officer

all you have to do is watch out for when the electorial commission would put out adverts

and if you are qualified, why not

you can make some money as a poling officer or assistant poling officer

so let's have a peaceful Election and lets ensure we elect credible candidates in all political offices

THANK YOU FOR WATCHING

How to make the arpeggio sound for Nils Frahm 'Says' - Duration: 8:41.

Hello this is Lucas Palmeira from Imaginando and I'm here to give you another tutorial on DRC.

Today I'm going to show you how to make the sound for the arpeggio on the song 'Says' by 'Nils Frahm'

And this is a really nice song with a really nice arpeggio, so let's get right into it…

We have a DRC open already because I have some mappings for my keyboard so I can play it later.

First thing I'm going to do is revert this back to the default patch.

OK, here we have it - let's start the sound…

First thing is go to the first oscillator [OSC 1] and change it to a square wave [SQR]

Go to the second oscillator, drop one octave and change it to a square wave [SQR]

Raise first oscillator and second oscillator [to maximum]

Turn [OSC 2] SYNC on for now.

Now drop the MASTER to 0.552 and raise PRE-GAIN to maximum.

Now raise the noise to 0.701

Now we go to the filter and we drop the CUTOFF to zero

We go to the modulation page, and on the keyboard [KBD] which modulates the cutoff frequency

we raise to 0.224

This means the higher the note, the higher the cutoff frequency.

OK.

Now we go to the delay and we raise the AMOUNT to 0.610

Turn the SYNC ON and raise the TIME to 1/8 dotted [1/8D]

CUTOFF to maximum, SPREAD at 0, FLUTTER at 0

Now for the reverb…

Raise the AMOUNT to 0.287

DECAY to 0.817 or 0.810 - it's fine.

DAMPING to 0.830

Should be OK.

Now let's go to the mod wheel [click cog icon to access it] and program it to do what we want.

We want it so that when i raise the mod wheel the CUTOFF will raise.

The RESONANCE will raise as well - put it at 0.757

0.759 OK…

And the FILTER MOD. let's raise it to 0.729

OK

And I think we have it.

Let's now open a DLYM, our free Delay Modulator plugin, and let's raise the TIME to 0.303

Leave the FEEDBACK, SPREAD at maximum, CROSSOVER at half [0.500] DRY/WET at half [0.500]

Now let's drop the RATE to 0.070

And raise the DEPTH to 0.543

OK and this should be it.

I'm gonna now try and play this live, so let's get to it…

For that I'm gonna turn on the arpeggiator which is synced at 1/8, raise one step and enable it

Ready - let's do this…

First, i'm gonna drop envelope generator 2 [EG 2] to zero so we can start this off slowly...

And this is it!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, don't forget that we have the Ableton session for

you to check out in the description below.

This was really fun to do guys - so I hope to see you again next week, and goodbye.

Pro-Maker: How to make a Vcarve inlay - Clapper Board Part 1 - Duration: 10:24.

This week we're focusing in on the V- carve inlay process of this clapperboard

project. What we love about this technique is that you can incorporate it

in a variety of ways to fit your own project. So stay to the end for a more

detailed walkthrough in Vectrex V carve for a "how to" on programmed the tool paths.

Essentially we're creating two parts. One is the pocket of the design a recessed

area in the body of the clapperboard and the inlay, or the plug, which will be

glued into the body of the design. I went ahead and made two glue ups. One larger

walnut glue up for the body of the clapper board and the smaller maple glue

up for the chevron design. We'll square the sticks on the jointer and cut them to

length.

After gluing them up I'll send them through the planer to level the material

and cut them square on the table saw.

First I'll cut the maple insert. We'll zerop x y & z using our Auto Z and corner finding

touch plate. I'll attach the material using composite

fasteners, this is a great way to attach material to the bed. You might choose

the pilot the holes first when using hardwood to prevent splitting. We'll run

the pocket clearing pass first and then the 60 degree bit to lessen the

amount of material the V bit has to remove.

For the body of the clapper board I chose to use metal fasteners and piloted the

holes with the CNC for my work holding technique. Check out the description

below for video on how we did this. We'll re-zero our z-axis with the same 60

degree V bit and run our v carve tool path.

Then we'll run our quarter-inch fit for the V carve clearing, the acrylic insert

pocket and the exterior profile.

I added large strong 2D tabs to the exterior profile to hold the clapper body to

the drop material. If you followed this order of operations we don't have to CNC

the parts for the inlay, glue it up and then put it back on the bed again

to CNC the exterior profile cut. I'll remove any extra of the raised

material on the edges of the maple inlay and now you can see how the two

parts fit together.

After we do a little clean-up on both parts we can glue in our insert. I'll

brush in the glue for an even distribution.

Using a few homemade clamps I was gifted recently by a friend of mine. I'll clamp

it up and let this sit overnight.

We happen to have a large bandsaw in our shop that's handy for re-sawing and for

projects like this. If you don't have access to one no worries, you can use

your CNC to remove any excess maple. Similar to as if you were leveling your

spoil board.

We also happen to have a drum sander. A palm sander with a low grit would work

just fine too.

Now I can cut out the parts from the drop material. Again, if you don't have a

bandsaw a coping saw or jigsaw would be a great alternative for this. I can sand

down my tabs on the belt sander or using a flush trim bit to clean them up. I'll do

some finish sanding with my orbital sander and break the edges with a small

chamfer. And we're ready for finish! Here I'm using a satin wipe-on poly though

it's really up to you and your aesthetic preference. Now we can move on to other

elements of this project including CNC machining the acrylic insert and CNC

plasma cutting the custom hinge plates. Thanks everyone for watching, keep an eye

out for more pro maker videos and stick around if you like to learn more about

your V-carve file setups for this project. See y'all in the shop.

welcome to our vectric walkthrough of the V carve inlay tool path programming.

Here's my Vcarve file of the clapperboard project. I've just drawn out

my design in all 2d vectors. Let's preview the current hole paths we

already have programmed. We have a pocket or the acrylic or whiteboard insert, the

exterior profile and the hold-down pilot holes.

Let's touch base on the concepts of how these parts come together. This is an

extremely helpful diagram made by Vectric and you can find a link in the

description below. The female part is pretty straightforward.

First we'll determine how deep you'd like the engraving to be on the

clapperboard and this will be an important point of

reference for later on. If you increase or decrease the flat depth this will

adjust how much space you have for your glue gap and for the air gap above the

inlay for the bandsaw blade to cut through. We recommend doing a few tests

first. You can adjust as necessary to make the

parts fit just right, if you need a larger or smaller glue gap. Now I'll go to my

vCarve file and select the chevron design on the body of the clapperboard. Let's

create a Vcarve tool path. Pretty straightforward, we'll make this a flat

depth of 0.2 inches. I'll select the 60 degree V bit as my tool and the quarter

inch bit as the clearing bit. Let's preview those tool paths in context now.

Here you can see those large tabs that will hold the body in place while we do

our inlay glue and for us to trim off the excess material. I'll go back to my

2d window select the inlay design and copy the vector then save the file.

Now we can create a new file for a maple inlay. I'll make my material size

slightly larger than the design. I can paste the design into our new file, this

will be for our maple plug part of the inlay. In order for the parts to fit

together we have to mirror the design. I'll flip this horizontally. Then I'll

draw a rough box around the outside of my material accounting for any hold down

techniques they might be using. I'll leave some space on the edges for the

composite fasteners.

Now we can create our V carve tool path. I'll select the

chevron design and the box around it. Let's make this our depth of 0.15 inches

I'll make the flat depth about 50 thousands which will leave some room for

the glue in the bandsaw blade. There's still some wiggle room here so you can

make adjustments as you need to. We'll just be sure that our router bit

selection matches that of the V curve tool path from the body of the clapper

board.

Let's preview those toolpaths. Looks like we're ready for lights camera

action! Thanks everyone for watching, for more

How to Make Idli | Spongy & Soft Idli Bateer Recipe | பஞ்சு போன்ற இட்லி மிக்ஸில் அரைத்து - Duration: 8:56.

hello everybody welcome to Desilicious kitchen today we are going to see how to

make soft and spongy idlies by grinding batter in a mixer but before

that do not forget to subscribe to our channel Desilicious kitchen and

press the bell icon for notifications we have taken 3 cups Idli rice 3/4 cup

light weight poha or beaten rice and 1 cup split black gram or Urad dal

first let us begin by washing the rice so we have washed the idly rice well and

soaked it in water for 6 hours you need to soak it in water for at least 4 hours

we soaked it in water for 6 hours and Urad dal...now let us wash it soak the

Urad dal but remember we have to soak it in water for only 1 and 1/2 hours

before grinding and next is the turn of the lightweight poha so we have to soak

this in water for just 25 minutes before grinding soak it in very little water it

doesn't require much water and now one very important point to know this 45

minutes before grinding we kept the rice and the urad dall in the refrigerator to

cool this is to prevent the mixer jar from heating up

I don't add methi seeds or fenugreek seeds for my idly batter if you want you can add 1 TSP the reason I don't

add is because it makes the batter slightly yellowish and I also feel that

the idlies turn out slightly sticky when you add methi seeds so to sum up once

again we have taken 3 cups idli rice 1 cup white urad dal or split black gram

and 3/4 cup lightweight poha beaten rice now first let us add in the Urad dal or

split black gram into the mixer we have to grind this adding very very little

water and adding even that little water little

by little in fact we should sprinkle water while grinding now we are done

grinding can you see those bubbles that is the indication that the urad batter is

well done this is how our urad dal batter should be and it should not fall

freely it should fall like this like balls it should be thick but you have to

grind it very smooth this is the perfect consistency for the urad dal batter

just note how it falls now let us keep this aside

We are showing this so that you can see the texture now in the same mixer

jar add in the rice after draining the water so now first we are going to grind

the rice along with the soaked poha or beaten rice and some salt without adding

any water now we have added in some salt so at first we are going to grind it as is

without adding water and after grinding like that for the first round we will be

adding cold water little by little if you add too much water it is difficult

to grind the rice and also it is difficult for the batter to rise so this

is the consistency of our rice batter for getting soft idlies the rice

batter should also be grainy rava like it should not be too smooth if it

is too smooth then you will get slippery idlies and if the batter is runny or

dilute it then you will get flat idlies now we are adding in the urad dal

Urad dal batter to this and mixing both the rice and urad dhal batters it

is necessary to mix this batter with the hands there is no shame in doing that

this way the batter will get fermented well and good fermentation is also

necessary for soft idlis so mix it well like this

our batter is all ready now let us close it with a lid and allow it to ferment,

undisturbed for at least twelve hours see fermentation depends on the weather

right now in Mumbai it iis cold it's winter season so it has to ferment for

12 hours now after 12 hours we have opened the lid and as you can see the

batter has risen up it's well fermented

and it has to be well fermented to make soft idlis

now let us grease the idli plate with oil spread the oil well with your hands

now let us pour the batter into the slots in the plate leave a little space

for the idlis to cook fill in 3/4 of the slot

now let us place them inside the idli cooker or steamer the water is boiling

and now we are placing the Idli plates inside let us cover and cook it for

eight minutes on a high flame now after eight minutes

we have switched off the flame let us open and see how the Idlis are. Wow soft

spongy idlis are ready aren't they perfect they are just the definition of

idlis these idlis stay good even after they turn cool even after they have

cooled down they stay very good

we'll be showing how to grind Idli batter in a grinder also but even these

idlis in our mixer are no less let us break it slowly and show it to you see

the texture so soft yet so firm now let us serve the idlis just look at them you

can have them with Mollagai podi or chutney or sambar today we are having it

with sambar and coconut chutney the sambar is made with sambar powder we

have given all the recipes in our channel of different kinds of sambar sambar

powder different types of chutneys do check them out I hope you enjoyed

watching this recipe and do try this out I am sure your will love it follow all

the steps that we have shown and you will get perfect idlis like this

those of you who are new here if you like this do not forget to subscribe to

Our channel and before we go let us give you one bite of our tasty idli bye for

now take care

What is Bioindividuality and How to Make it Work for You - Duration: 4:09.

Jennifer: Do you ever wonder what the perfect diet is for you?

In today's video, I'm going to show you how to figure it out.

For the easiest to understand, helpful advice on everything health and mindset related,

please subscribe to my channel, and hit the bell to be notified when I post a new video

every Thursday.

Jennifer: Probably the question I get asked the most is, "Jenn, what should I eat?

I keep hearing about all these people doing ketogenic or paleo or vegan, and I get so

confused."

So today, we're going to figure out exactly what the best diet is for you, and how to

figure that out.

When I became a holistic health coach, there was a term that I had never heard before,

and that term was bio-individuality.

It makes so much sense when you think about it.

We are all unique.

Everybody is different, and bio-individuality really means that figuring out what works

best for you, for your genetics, for your lifestyle, and that includes how you eat.

Jennifer: The best way to figure out what is right for you, what foods you should be

eating, is basically to keep track.

What I ask all of my one-on-one health coaching clients to do is to keep a food and mood journal.

I've included in the link below the download that we use, and it's a piece of paper where

you can write what you eat and then how you feel.

That is the best frame of reference to start looking at patterns to see what foods make

you feel good, and what foods make you feel bad.

It's also good to look at your mood.

If you're sad, what foods are you drawn to?

Or could it be, what foods are you eating that are causing you to feel maybe not so

good?

Jennifer: Finally, even though we are all unique and we are all different, there are

a few universal truths.

Highly processed, high sugar foods, the things that you're going to find in the middle of

the grocery store on the shelves with huge labels, most time than not are not going to

make you feel the best.

Whenever I like to eat, I like to choose whole foods; thing that you'd find in nature.

Lots of leafy green, lots of healthy fats such as avocados, nuts, seeds.

Good, healthy protein sources.

Lots of beans, legumes.

Obviously lots of fruits and vegetables.

If you stay on the periphery of the grocery store, that's usually going to be your best

bet.

Jennifer: And I find that no matter what kind of eating plan you're following, and like

I said, I don't subscribe to one eating philosophy.

I think it all depends on what season you're in.

I live in Michigan, and so right now we're in the middle of winter.

I'm going to eat a lot of comforting, warm foods, things like soups and stews and things

like that, and I'm probably going to stay away from a ton of fruit and a ton of things

that are lighter like salads and stuff like that.

Jennifer: Now, I'd love to hear back from you.

Is this something that you look at?

Do you look at basically what you're eating and how it makes you feel?

Or is it something that you just kind of shove to the wayside?

I would love to know if you learned something new from this video, and then what your biggest

takeaways were.

If you liked this video, please like it below.

And also, please subscribe to my channel and feel free to share it with all of your friends

that are on the road to becoming healthier versions of themselves.

Have an awesome day, and I will see you again next Thursday.

Bye-bye.
