The 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric is the automaker's newest all-electric car.

With a 64-kilowatt-hour battery pack, the Kona Electric offers a 258-mile driving range.

The Kona Electric is also quite punchy, with its motor rated for 201 horsepower and 290

pound-feet of torque.

Acceleration to 60 miles per hour takes just 7.6 seconds and the car's top speed is limited

to 104 mph.

The Kona Electric gets bodywork tweaks to help improve aerodynamics, cutting its drag

coefficient to just 0.29.

Cargo room is the same as the non-electric model, at 19.2 cubic feet with the seats up

and 45.8 with them down.

A full charge on a Level 2 charger will take less than 10 hours, Hyundai says.

High-speed charging capability is included as standard.

The Kona Electric will be offered in three trim levels, with features including a host

of active-safety tech, wireless phone charging, a head-up display and LED headlights.

Hyundai plans to launch the Kona Electric in California first, as EV sales are strongest

in that state, before rolling it out nationwide.

Honda 'to close its Swindon plant with the loss of 3,500 jobs' - Duration: 15:10.

Japanese car maker Honda is set to close its Swindon factory in 2022 in a move that will put 3,500 jobs at risk

The firm will announce the closure of its Wiltshire plant tomorrow in a fresh blow to the country's automotive sector amid rife uncertainty surrounding Brexit

Trade union Unite blamed the potential job losses on Theresa May's 'rigid approach' to negotiations with EU, claiming the threat of no deal had led to 'chaotic Brexit uncertainty'

The plant is among the biggest employers in Swindon, which voted in favour of leaving the EU, and is currently the firm's only factory inside the EU

It is the latest blow to hit Britain's car manufacturing industry, with several international firms threatening to close plants amid Brexit reservations

In December, Nissan announced it would no longer build its X-Trail car at its plant in Sunderland and Jaguar Land Rover recently said it would cut 4,500 UK jobs

Meanwhile, Ford bosses have warned a no-deal Brexit would be 'catastrophic' and would cost them 1,000 jobs - mainly at its Bridgend plant in Wales

Liberal Democrat leader Vince Cable said: 'This is devastating news for the thousands of people employed at Honda's plant in Swindon, and a further hammer blow to Britain's reputation as a hub for global business

'Brexit may or may not be officially blamed, and we accept that other issues in the global economy are also a factor

'Brexit uncertainty is weighing on the company, as is the inability of the UK Government to guarantee access to the recent EU-Japan trade deal

Brexiteers will, of course, accuse these firms of crying wolf. Maybe – but that doesn't mean there are no wolves out there

And it is a tragedy that the very companies which helped to bring about a remarkable renaissance in the British car industry have become the collateral damage in the chaos of our impending departure from the EU

It is yet one more problem to contend with in a troubled industry that faces plummeting demand for diesel cars, a slump in the vast Chinese market, and fears that Donald Trump may impose punishing tariffs on vehicles imported into the US

In Germany, a country synonymous with the production of sleek, super-reliable driving machines sold worldwide, the decline in the auto industry is actually stalling the economy

The industry is also dealing with the lifestyle choices of the Uber generation: city-dwelling, environmentally-conscious young people who are less fixated on car ownership than their parents were

So a state of emergency would prevail even without Brexit, and the threat of No Deal makes us an even less attractive place to invest in troubled times

It's not clear what led to the car crash, but sources told the media outlet that Precious, 66, hit a pole, triggering an asthma attack

She was then taken to a hospital and is currently in the ICU. Her exact condition is unknown

T.I. and Tiny were devastated after hearing the news and decided it was best to put the show on hold until Precious got better, TMZ's insiders said
