greetings thank you so much for tuning into the stream today and if this is
your first time here my name is Ileane Smith and I love to
livestream so one of the things that I love to also do is to teach about live
streaming and give you some tips and tools that you can use for your live
streams now most of the time I stream from desktop but today I decided that I
wanted to go live from my phone just to be different you know just because right
so I got my little filter going there I'm a little bit of a different setup
than what I normally have and unfortunately I see there's a lot of
reflection on my glasses there but we all try to figure out how to minimize
that I want to give a shout out first and foremost - okay I have all messages
visible so I see we have some folks here in the stream please type hi in the chat
and also we always like to start things off with two taps hashtag two taps hey
Pat Patricia a Murray in the house two taps one tap to share this out another tap to
like the video if this is your first time and you're not a subscriber those
two taps would be one to subscribe and one to hit that notification bill and
reason why I like two taps because you know sometimes youtubers say they want
you to smash that like button I want you to smash it I just want you to have it
ever so gently just tap and tap there's your two taps okay so let's get into the
content today and I'm gonna give a shout out to my friends first
Ross brand from Ross brand live he is a live streamer that we also did a
collaboration together where we talked about some of these same things that I'm
going to talk about today and we have so many choices all these different tools
that we can use when we're ready to go live especially from our desktop okay so
we're going to be talking about desktop tools today okay so let me just move
things around just a tad bit and ya know there's nothing I can do about the glare
apologize for that what I can do is try to take my glasses off from time to time
so when I met my desktop and I am doing a tutorial because I like to do
tutorials I like to do like explainer videos and demos of new products new
software applications and how to use different things I love to screen share
so I had to find apps that allow me to screen share for example now I'm using
the regular YouTube app on my phone I can't screen share I could do this I
can hold up my notes for you to see but that's not really useful so I basically
like I said earlier I'm usually on my desktop so I found four different apps
that I want to talk to you today I'm gonna talk about today and I'm going to
go down my feature set I have a set of features and in fact look in the
description for a link not right now but when this video
is done look for a link and I'm gonna let you download my little cheat sheet
okay so these are the four apps that I'm comparing BeliveTV a lot of you are
familiar with Belive it's been around for maybe three or four years now ECAMMLive
which is a Mac only software stageten which is another software that's been
around for a long time and just like B live and then the newcomer to the group
which is streamyard and we like to affectionately say #theyard so
if anybody here is using any of these tools please type in the tap in the chat
or in the comments if you're watching the replay and let me know which one of
these tools you like to use the most so for screen sharing all of them allow you
to do screen sharing be live became live stage 10 and stream yard you can screen
share with all of those and you can also really show off whatever it is that you
have and you can use presentation or you can show off a piece of software that
you have on your computer or you can just screen share a web browser you know
such as Chrome or Firefox you can share whatever you're trying to demonstrate
alright next sometimes you want your guests to be able to do screen sharing
was in a live stream this morning and I was a guest and I was able to do some
screen sharing so the one that's best at this is stageten, stageten gets all the
kudos for that stream yard does this as well
however with streamyard the guests can say you know I want to share the
screen and they can bring it up but the host is the only one that can share it
to the audience the guests can't kind of like take over to show I want to show my
screen share the host is the only one that's able to make that visible for the
audience so the guests can screen share their screen but the host is still in
control so I guess that's a good thing if you're a host you probably will want
it that way all right all right so now I'm just gonna talk about inviting
guests inviting guests on your broadcast a lot of times we want to you know have
our friends in on the broadcast this is something that I can't do here with this
YouTube mobile app I can't invite guests on so what would I do if I was on
desktop how many guests could I have one with be live and stage 10 both of those
you could have three guests with ECAM life you can have four guests and with a
stream yard you can have five guests so that means
six people would be up it would be the Brady Bunch
or it would be Hollywood Squares okay you'd have six people in one screen
yourself and five guests all right the next thing that I want to talk about is
your branding you know we all want to make sure we have our no goals we have
our customized colors and fonts and all that good lovely stuff so when do you
want to do that you want to use belie ECAM live stage 10 and stream yard all
of those is you all those tools that you do that and I think that's a good thing
now with a stream yard a lot of you guys are familiar stream you are I see a lot
of folks are using stream yard you can't use the custom branding and logo on the
free plan but you can upgrade in order to do that he came live as a
paid tool don't worry I'm gonna have my link cuz I'm gonna Philly it for Kamla
if and you know I'm a supporter of all of these platforms but you can live I'm
an affiliate they don't sponsor this video though so I'll have my affiliate
links there and that's like I said Mac only and right now the cost is $80 but I
want you to get in on it before that price goes up because they just
introduced a new feature which we will get to in a moment
ECAMMlive and streamyard are my favorites Patricia I gotta agree I gotta
agree right now ECAMMlive and streamyard are my favorites
as well so if you were here for last week's live stream actually it wasn't
last week it was Monday so it was this week I did a live stream and I used both
tools at the same time I got some secret sauce I'm going to tell you about in a
minute on how you can use ECAMMlive and streamyard yeah that one's gonna blow
your mind oh and you know what I see a couple
other people came in so don't forget hashtag two taps go ahead and tap that
like button and tap that share button and share this out with your community
okay so next I want to talk about adding a pre-recorded video to your stream you
know that was something that I actually started to do today I just didn't feel
like editing the video that's that's why I decided to change plans okay cuz I
just wasn't in the mood for editing a video but you can have a pre-recorded
video let's just say for example I was I wanted to introduce something that works
on PC and not on Mac okay so you have to choose which
computer you're going to be on the PC or the Mac so whichever one I would choose
to be on I would go ahead and pre record that video from that other platform and
then I would just play that video in my live stream and there's only two
platforms that let you do that efficiently and with great quality and
that is ECAMMLIVE and then also StageTen you can do that as well
ECAMMlive gives you the added benefit of being able to narrate over top of that
video so I can have a video that doesn't have any audio and I can narrate as well
as add music as a background all that I could do with ECAMMlive but people have
tried to do this with those other two platforms but I gotta admit that it's
not the best quality it can't be done it's a workaround or what they call a
hack if you just got to do it that way you can do it but it's not built in as a
feature of the platform so you want to use ECAMMlive or stageten if you have a
pre-recorded video that you own don't take somebody else's video y'all know
better I have to tell you I my audience y'all know better than that okay so now
a mobile app for the hosts a mobile app for the hosts does anybody have any idea
who has a mobile app for the hosts well I admit that's a trick question no none
none none of these apps have a mobile app for the hosts and I don't even think
any of them are working on it now for the guests for the guests okay big ECAM
life is not a mobile app so there are that's one thing about ECAMMLIVE is
desktop only stage 10 I think they're working on it I know that streamyard is
working on it and Belive does have the ability for guests to come in via mobile
it's already in place so stream yard is gonna be caught up with them very soon
because they'll be there working on the Android one it's in beta and the iOS one
is got some bugs to work out but that's coming very very soon let's talk about
green screen you know when you are live-streaming you may not want to look
like you're in this hallway like I am that's the beginning of my hallway just
cuz I wanted to be different people work with me
and you may not want to do that and fagged let's see oh I'm changing my
filter I figured you may want to be in the spotlight or sometimes you just feel
like you're dreaming so yes I'm using a filter that's called dream ECAM live and
streaming or my favorites oh okay I don't know why that comment popped back
up again but yeah good great path so oh now I got my background kind of you feel
I'm not a ghost I promise but if you look at my thumbnail for this video
you'll see that I have these colors and the thumbnail I better take that off cuz
I feel like I'm making somebody dizzy so
so okay with the green screen you can catapult yourself anywhere and with any
background and it uses a technology called chroma key I've talked about it
in detail when I was talking when I did a tutorial for ECAM live because he came
live has this feature and let me just check
my chart here yeah they're the only ones that have this feature of the fourth
that I'm reviewing today your green screen
aka chroma key is only available with the ECAM live now I didn't mention this
before so I better stress this now ECAM live is actually an application that you
download on your computer the other three that we're talking about today be
live stage 10 and stream yard they're all browser-based so they work with the
Chrome browser so you don't download them onto your computer there's an
extension for the screen sharing and all that but you you don't download these on
your computer ECAM is a standalone application that's only available for
Mac ok and it's only going to be met these guys are Mac developers so they
don't work on PCs don't even ask that question I know a lot of people want to
know when they come out of easy they're not coming out PC version just look for
another maybe there will be another app that comes out a lot of people use obs
hey radioed I just walked in if you're not mentioned any tools for mobile live
streaming yes I did mention a tool for mobile live streaming it's the one I'm
using right now which is the YouTube app the native YouTube app so yeah maybe in
my title of this video I should have specified that I will be talking about
desktop apps let me see if I can bring your comments back oh ok let's fry your

the mobile app that I recommend and there is a tutorial here on my youtube
channel and it's the stream mobile app you can go live on youtube as
well as twitch with that so check out stream labs and have it for

talking about the live-streaming tools desktop live-streaming tools okay radio
Don hang off for a second and those are be dive stage 10 stream yard those are
the browser-based apps and ECAM live okay Radio Don Stream labs mobile app is
available on iOS and Android switch or go is only available one iOS and Pat
says it's only 40 degrees in dorm I think we made it up to like 47 or
something here in Philly so that Mitch is very warm unseasonally warm for us
today in fact let me just look here I've got my other phone here so I'm just
gonna go 44 more 44 God Thanks okay and and and radio Don all you have to do is
look on my channel for a playlist for mobile live streaming and you'll see all
my tutorials that I have for mobile life streaming but today we're talking about
desktop we're all mobile but we're talking about desktop way to switch it
up also you can go live on you Instagram you can go live on your
Facebook at stream laughs thank you for the stream lapse video and you know
actually I need to probably do another version of the stream labs video because
when I was doing the stream labs demo I actually was on my phone
showing the things that can be done but I wasn't showing the behind the scenes
of how to work and move push all the buttons so maybe one day I'll do that
again depends upon popular demand for that I think at most most folks are just
when they're on the phone we are only 81 degrees in Florida oh okay witches and
Lake languages between Tampa and Orlando so fryer way oh I wonder if you were
planning on going to podcast movement I highly highly recommend that people just
coming to Orlando okay so I talked about green screen last then we talked about
mobile access for guests and we have be live mobile life apps for the playlist
thank you so much Larry I really appreciate you all right so mute buttons
mute buttons and I you know I gotta talk to this I'll tell you let me finish
having a mute button for your gasps well even as a host it's very important
because when you're doing a live stream and you've got multiple guests on
especially especially when you got multiple guests on there's always one
person who's got that dog barking or the
Amazon actually be the UPS man or woman comes to the door or you know it's
always that unexpected noise and a lot of times the guests may not be savvy
enough to know how to mute their their own device or their own mic or whatever
to sell it depends upon how you know what theirs
setup is so for the host to have that ability is a big deal and I talked to
the guys at stream yard about that and I kind of think that kind of fell off the
radar right now as far as I know they still don't have that but of course ECAM
has it and stage 10 has it be live does not have that as well and yeah it's
something here's what here's a tip I'll give you if sometimes they don't even
realize that we can hear noises behind them that's right it just depends upon
how savvy your guest is so here's a tip that I want to share with you get on a
call or either get on live and what they call the green room before you go live
with your guests and make yourself a little checklist to go through with your
guests to ask them did you have your phone's turned off have you told all
your friends and family or whatever your family would your pets have you walk the
dog whatever have a little checklist to just say are you sure we're not going to
be interrupted for the net just all depends upon how casual or and be live
just kick them to the curb at her home lobby yes you can put people in the
lobby and you could do the same thing with stream yard you can take the person
off camp but there if they're in the middle it just all depends upon what's
going on at the time when that extra noise comes in so you could be asking a
question if you're asking somebody a question you don't want to kick them out
because then and be life I don't know if they'll hear yeah I think they will hear
you so anyway if you can get on with your guests ahead of time to let them
know that hey I'm moot I might be muting you I will always have my guests to join
me ten minutes early so we can check the lighting sound etc yes Pat does a great
job of that and you know Patricia she does interviews for her show of the
dorms skywriter and a lot of times the person
that she's interviewing is not really that tech-savvy so she sort of has to
give them a little bit of a tutorial and a walkthrough on how all this stuff
works and she does a great job when doing that because most of the time by
the time the guest gets on there like you know a semi-pro I think it's time to
change the filter here let's go with
let's see blush okay I look like I put on some makeup or something all right so
now we got the Sun it's that time of day when the Sun is at its high point yeah
maybe we should just take off just go with normal it doesn't even seem to
matter let's go with blush okay so let's see
advance sound volume controls actually stage 10 has this as well but
ECAM has the best I mean people are usually scared and nervous but they
after the interview is over they want to try it for themselves yeah once once you
get over those first-time jitters let's so to speak then you're like hey this
last dream stuff is fun it's addictive and you're all ready just start your own
show big ass one time the next thing you know you're ready to start a show the
next day and that's why I appreciate apps like stream yard and you know even
be live where person could just get up and running just that quickly because
it's browser-based same way with with stage 10 although I think stage 10 has a
little bit more of a learning curve stream you are in my opinion stream yard
is the easiest as far as the browser-based ones now for me ECAM is
the most versatile and it's simply because it is and a standalone
application and I can connect it with my Elgato stream deck which I shared and
what was that and stick Instagram life which I'm gonna repurpose so don't know
if you missed that Instagram right don't worry it's coming again in fact told you
I didn't feel like editing today yeah is sitting there on that little area where
videos that need to be edited to repurpose so I'll put it up on a GTV
never let an Instagram life go to waste always put it up on HGTV and maybe other
places as well okay so I'm gonna skip a lot of the things that are on here and
I'm going to go to multi casting if you want to do multi casting I think I was
dreaming somebody asked me or somebody was telling me about restream Daioh
let me back up a little bit sorry for that but the Sun is chasing me and ya
restream da I o is great for multi casting and it will connect with some of
these platforms but the one that has the native multi casting built right in to
the tool is stage 10 so stage 10 seamlessly lets you toggle off one and
off the different platforms that you and I don't right now I don't know Facebook
is one of them or not because you know Facebook as soon as you start using a
tool like that Facebook changes their API so the last time I checked Facebook
was not one of the options but you could go live on twitch and youtube and
periscope aka Twitter live and any of your others that you can use the rtmp
key with like mixer which is Microsoft's version of twitch she never heard of
mixer you can do that with staged now with ECAM live they have a direct
connection with restream dot io which would let you do the multi casting there
and you can do it for free except for Facebook you have to have a paid account
with Facebook but honestly guys I got to tell you everybody that I know that you
get paid for that Facebook integration has problems they either they don't get
the comments to come in cuz to me that's a big that's a big deal
if you're doing a desktop application if you're on your desktop go online
besides the screen sharing the next biggest most important thing is to be
able to pin the comments up on screen you know to have guests on and that is
one thing that is always problematic because most of the live streamers that
I hang out with they're kind of like they don't spare any expense so they
will go ahead and they will upgrade their little restream account so they
could go live on Facebook and anyplace else they want to go live but Facebook
doesn't really want you to do that and none of them really want you to do that
but Facebook doesn't know how to enforce it so what they do and this is my
opinion I don't I don't know this to be fact but in my opinion what they do in
order to make it difficult for people to do use restreamed I oh and there's
another one called cache trio they change the API and it fails cuz i i've
seen too many people complain about it can't be a coincidence so anyway that's
just my little conspiracy theory oh I ain't mean to say that YouTube that word
slipped out that's my theory okay so let's go down to record only mode I
gotta tell you this is one of my favorite parts of ECAM live
because nobody else does it either besides he can't so I could tell you
that right now only we'd have to call all the other ones out no I take that
back stage 10 does to stage time but you have to have a super duper pay plan with
spit stage ten in order to do the record only mode that is only as filter ever
but I'm just gonna go with it and the reason why I love this record only mode
on ECAM ECAM also has this other unique feature that you can choose your layout
so you can choose to have a vertical layout that actually looks like you're
on your phone even though you're in your desktop so that's really cool to use
that record only feature and I can record some stories and then I have my
graphics there my my logo I usually always put it up at the top that's why
I'm doing this or if I want to have that link there to
say I lean that link /e cam live so that people can buy it
so that's another reason why I like he cam life because with that report only
mode not only can I be in the landscape like
I am now I also can be in the vertical which works great for IG TV and
Instagram stories and Facebook stories and all that but you also can do square
oh that's a lot so that means Instagram not Instagram
stories but Instagram and Facebook although I never really see square video
on Facebook oh they say it's the bee's knees but I never see okay all right so
let's talk about having a 1080p recording now what does that mean
first of all it has to do with your resolution the resolution of your final
file and when you have
I'm sorry y'all playing with the filters when you have a high resolution file and
basically for life streaming you know you can do 4k if you have the right
equipment and all that but most of the platforms don't support 4k twitch and
YouTube support 1080p and that's basically oh hey Jen whiner I don't have
too much fun yeah cuz this lighting is just was not a great decision for me to
move over here to this hallway and it's not so much that it's the time of day
yeah that's why you've got the Sun coming right down the middle of my face
ah so anyway the 1080p is really what we want to call High Definition but for
some crazy reason I don't if anybody knows why Facebook doesn't like 1080p I
have no idea so with the 1080p you only can go for YouTube and twitch these are
the major platforms but Facebook the max is 720p okay so some of these platforms
only go to 720p for example stream yard only goes to 720p so even though stream
yard lets you go live on YouTube it's only seven twenty P whereas ECAM and
stage ten would gives you 1080p also be life or be life doesn't let you do
YouTube they just let you do Facebook so it kind of makes sense for B life to
only be 720 even though B life does have twitch now not sure how well that's
going over with the folks on V live
okay let's get to something that I think is a major well there's a couple things
that I think are major an affiliate program yeah I mentioned earlier that I
am an affiliate I'm an affiliate for ECAM live I am an ECAM live affiliate
eilen Die Linke slash ECAM life that's with two M's he cam yes I am on the
spotlight yeah so um why these other platforms don't have an affiliate
program it was beyond me because I'll tell you I probably would be a little
bit more supportive that they did but I just don't understand that to me it
sounds just it seems a little selfish I'm just gonna be I'm gonna put it out
there because managing an affiliate program is it's not just about the money
right it's it's a time consuming thing so ECAM live uses ShareASale and they've
always used it even before they came out with ECAM life because remember ECAM
live has been developing Mac applications for 11 years starting with
the call recorder stream yard has a referral program yes but they don't give
you money so that's not an affiliate program they do they have enough
referral program which will help you with keeping your your your logo there
and instead of their branding and being able to customize the colors hey Gord
how are you yes you can do that with stream yard and I've referred so many
people to stream yard hey Tish how are you
Tagg Eileen fun yeah yeah and don't forget about the two taps for all you
guys that just came in two taps tap on that like button and tap on that share
so I think an affiliate program is so much more valuable to the users because
if the users are out here making tutorials for your software they are out
here evangelizing your brand okay cuz you know you put your you put yourself
you kind of put yourself but in your own reputation on the line when you
evangelize for other brands okay because let's say for example let's just I'll
just use the example let me try to think of one that we're not talking about
today let's just say I was Evangel evangelizing for this water hey which
I'm not but let's just say I was evangelizing for this water and they
just said oh we'll give you a referral we'll send you some free waters every
now and then instead of giving me money right what happens if one day there's
this problem with this water and the content of platform supports - yes I
think I know what you mean Beauty but I wish it would be a little bit more
details because I'm not arresting exactly sure I understand that I just
feel that for all of the support that you're going to give someone else's
brand that they should pay you as my feeling I've been doing this for a long
time and I've been in referral programs off and on and then in the end you go
evangelizing for a brand and then if the brand goes away or something happens
they change their business model or what her and then you it's like whoa yeah I
was evangelizing for them all that time and then I never made a dime and yet
they made money just as my opinion I'm not saying you know that you shouldn't
evangelize for something if you if you really like it you don't have to only
evangelize for things that have affiliate programs but when I weigh my
options the affiliate program means a whole lot more to me than a referral
program that's just my opinion I think once they take more away from the free
tier the yard will add an affiliate program I have not had that feeling Jen
but maybe you know something I don't know but every time that I've mentioned
an affiliate program they have stood up and said no no no no no no we don't have
an affiliate program I've never got the sense that they ever plan on having one
no that doesn't mean I don't like stream you know I like streamer I think stream
yar is fantastic option and because a lot of you guys who are my friends don't
have a Mac and so you're never going to get eat camp so I say stream yard two
thumbs up I love the brand and all that but I'm
just saying what's more valuable to me as a consumer as a streamer as an
influencer because I brought a lot of people onto that platform an affiliate
program we need to talk to them behind the scenes girl what you know honestly
if if you wanted to campaign for that with them I think it's a great idea when
you promote the platform you can discover it they support and
promote content that is not in alignment with your social outreach or
professional outlook blab is is my more direct example oh okay yeah
as far as talking to them I mean I'm okay they've made that decision all
right I got other stuff to do I'm happy with ECAM someone just
purchased it the other day and I was like thank you whoever you are and a few
people have already purchased it using my link and I appreciate you guys and I
hope that I'm able to help you in any way if you have any questions or any
problems with it so let's move on to something else here Facebook page
cross-posting built in o-m-g this saved my neck one day because remember I
mentioned earlier how Facebook they just changed things like in the middle of the
night you just think everything is Oh okey-dokey and then you'd go to do
something I was like wait I'd do this every day how come well I went live I
was trying to go live with ECAM live to my Facebook page it wouldn't work I said
okay something's wrong with ECAM because you know I have I'm on the beta version
of ECAM so if something goes wrong with ECAM I can't get upset because I'm
supposed to find the bugs right cuz that's what a beta tester does but I
tried streaming I still couldn't do it I contacted Gage and you know the guys
over streaming they said here's the instructions here's what you need to do
did all that rebooted all that cos nothing would work so I wasn't going to
let my plans for live streaming go to the wayside
I went live on my other page and because II cam live has cross-posting two pages
built in I was actually alive on both pages already
so I actually did wind up going live on my miss Eileen speaks page because my
other pages basic blog tips but I wasn't talking about blogging I think I was
talking about podcasting that day doesn't matter ECAM live is the only one
of these tools that has the built-in cross posting to your other pages with
these other tools you have to go in manually and do it with ECAM live you
said and forget it it's like was that Ron Popeil said it
then forget it so I did forget it I forgot I even said
it and it worked too - so okay so now maybe I need to start a get Jen a Mac
fun that's right go find me girl shucks alright so so here here we got
one last feature before the big reveal because remember I'm going to reveal a
new hey Kati oh my gosh the gang's all here
hi Kati how are you dear okay so the next thing that's super important and I
bought this up when we had the conversation Ross brand and I had this
conversation and some of these tools the guys from the tools actually came on the
stream and they were engaging with us and interacting and I bought this up and
they haven't came through on this yet one of the other platforms but this is
what I'm talking about a user community group a user community group we have
these evangelists here like Jen she's an evangelist for stream your beauty bubble
she's an evangelist for stream yard you know we have that group over there on
Facebook and it doesn't have to be on Facebook but just so happens that it's
on Facebook and right right now as of today that's probably the easiest place
to have them or you can have it in slack or discord but really
Facebook is the easiest right we all know that and they're able to get that
feedback they're able to have everybody chatting amongst themselves thanks to
you I have heard of stream yard hey Carla how you doing

that like button and Gord yes Gord you haven't mentioned whether you wanted to
try any of these you may want to try stream yard instead of using OBS from
time to time to tap team on fire today I'm doing well thanks yes I know we were
talking about IG TV earlier to Carla so I know I'm talking your language so that
user community group and I just mentioned the stream yard one don't
forget to check each other out that's right hit those three dots tap on the
comment hit the three dots and go and follow each other's channels that's what

good group you can also post your your shows for the day or for the week or
however it goes so those are there's that thread so that folks can support

live they have to they have the ECAM live community that's for everybody
who's got you can live fantastic group but that ECAM live beta group that's one
of my favorite groups when you go to your notifications and you start looking

my gosh so many things that I didn't even know we're possible that could be
done like when when they asked for you know I don't use a camera I use a webcam
hey brahs you already got a couple shout outs you must have know somebody a
little Bernie must have told you out his life today
they um people are using their real cameras so then they go into oh how come
it doesn't do this but the canon or how come it does this with my DSLR and then
you need to use cam link or you don't need to use cam Lincoln what about like
for me I used that Elgato stream deck I went in a group and showed folks how to
use Elgato stream deck and a lot of people use my link to purchase it you
know just all kinds of things how come we can't schedule anymore how what about
the image that shows up when we schedule the lives and what about my guest was
trying to come on on sky and they could hear me but I could just
all sort all manner of things and sometimes I can go in there and answer
some questions but sometimes I just sit back in awe like y'all are amazing just
the most amazing group of life streamers I've ever seen ever and y'all know I've
been around live streamers since 2011 when we were doing it on Google Hangouts
okay he's ECAM a beta ECAM live beta test group users are the most amazing
live streamers I've ever met in my life and I'm sure there's other groups that
are similar and if I you know like I mentioned to the folks from stage 10 and
they said that they were gonna start a group I haven't heard anything else
about that stream yard like I said has a group B life has the group get in there
in those groups guys try to answer each other's questions spend a day just or
spend a couple hours say you're gonna commit to an hour just going through and
seeing some of the past Q&A that people have asked and who's answering those
questions and I see you guys are all saying hi to each other so thank you so
very much I love you guys you guys are wonderful but you know you'll learn so
much about equipment about things that you don't even have yet well it is
livestream universe in a full house for Eileen Smith today thank you beauty
bubble you know it it's just a wealth of information if you really are you know
want to a level and up your game go into these groups even the ones that you've
been in you think I've been a net B live group for a year now they just post
there no going that group and see those questions that have come up and see if
your your questions have been answered or
some questions that you didn't even know existed and I know that I could go in my
debt be live I'm sorry in the ECAM live beta test group I could go in there
today and there would be a question posted where somebody is doing something
totally unique with their live streams and you're either talking about some
equipment and beauty bubbles pointing out how you can use that search bar yes
use that search bar but then also just scroll back because if it's something
you don't know you wouldn't even know to search for it
so just go in there and Facebook has this really cool thing now where they
kind of show you people that have been posting lately sometimes that's helpful
sometimes that's not it just all depends upon a person and you'll get to know
you'll get to know and you know it's just also another way to just build
community with people that you have something in common so if you're all
using a specific tool you're all using live-streaming or you're all using be
live or you're all using the stream yard why not build community with these
people these are the people that will support you you know and so I think
that's special so now it's time for the big reveal
so let's say let's change filters I guess we have to put the spotlight
filter on the newest feature coming from e cam live my favorite live streaming
tool which you can find at Eileen dot link / e cam live that's he can't with
two M's I have all the links in the description is something that you've all
been waiting for and that is the virtual cam the virtual can man the virtual cam
what does that mean that virtual cam means that you can go live on all these
platforms and still have all the cool tools of B cam live when it's time for
you to go alive when you get the option to pick your camera instead of your
FaceTime camera or your webcam that lots of tech that Brio or that c920 or that's
c920 to you pick the ECAM as your camera
yes yes yes yes yes it is fantastic it's fantastic
I did I actually used it like I said Monday if you go back and check Monday's
livestream I wasn't really talking about it that much but toward the end of the
livestream you know I start talking Q&A with you guys and I said you know what
hey I'm using the cam inside of stream yard and so I have like stream yard has
this thing where your name comes up at the bottom and then I had my doe ECAM
banner up at the top and I put some things up on screen that were within my
ECAM yes and it was incredible big news from a camp yeah
and the other news and this is something that is being worked on and I'm not
exactly about it but I know a lot of other folks were and that is being able
to bring a PDF like we can already bring images and to ECAM live and I probably
need to add that to the list because you can't really bring images in be live you
can you can't on be lying I'm not talking about screen sharing I'm talking
about bringing the just dragging an image in and placing it anywhere on the
screen and yet pretty much Kim has the market cornered on that um but now you
can literally bring the PowerPoint and just drag it
onto the screen and then you can now rate behind that they haven't figured
out the picture-in-picture one the PDF that's probably why I'm not all that
excited about it because you can still do a screen share of a PDF from your
desktop and you know still be able to use picture and picture the old-school
way but this is a new feature that will probably get refined but I'm really
really excited about that virtual cam and it's been working great for so many
people and I've even had people in the group that will message me and say how
did you do that and I'm like so y'all don't I don't read everything that gets
posted to this group like I do I'll wait for that notification Oh something
happily camp okay let me go see what it is and so when I saw that I was over the
moon so I've tested it on several platforms and you can use it with each
one that I talked about here today you can use it with any browser based
platform and I used it on Facebook the Facebook platform now here's the thing
here's the real thing about this this means that any group that you belong to
on Facebook you don't have to be the admin you don't have to be a moderator
you can still use ECAM live in that group because every group that every
member go live inside the group so when you do that you can go live inside of a
group use despairingly okay I want your getting kicked out of groups and then
blaming it on me you're only gonna post you're only gonna
do go live for something that's relevant to people in the group not to go in
there to promote your book or your this or your that right whatever that group
is based around you're gonna go in there you're gonna go live and then you're
going to pick ECAM as your care and you're gonna be on a Facebook live
but with all the power of ekm I've done it already so I write we are a spammer
we are using the tool for good that's right but you know I can't tell you all
this little tip without telling y'all in the same breath even though I know that
Oh everyone who's here today is a good Stewart of live-streaming there will be
people watching this in the replay and you know and sometimes people just don't
know better you know so I have to say this and at the same time remind people
you know you don't go in a group every day live just because you can cuz you
get kicked out yeah you won't be in that group long and if it is that kind of
group that just lets everybody come in willy-nilly then you probably don't want
to be in that group because everybody is going in there willy-nilly but who wants
that okay so use it sparingly you know even Facebook is clamping down on the
groups you can't get added to a bunch of groups anymore yay Facebook okay so
that's it for the knife streaming tools or so you know the next big thing with
live streaming is coming and that's gonna be the LinkedIn live if you want
to use a DSLR to livestream or stream you already be lives you can virtual cam
with ECAM into those platforms and you do not need to buy dope that's right the
thing I mean there's something I can do to bring that comment back up again what
is it I have to pick another filter darn it I think the last thing you said was
you do not have to buy the cam link but you know when you the thing about
YouTube they don't leave the comment up on the screen that long and it's funny
because all today every time I change the filter the last comment will come
pop back up but this time it did but anyway
so guys you know follow whatever Ross brand just said yeah that ditto

okay so we go over there and like that page and there's stories for pages guys
there are stories for pages and they're pretty cool they're getting better and
better I've been using them for about a month
and a half now and every time I look Facebook has added another feature so
pretty soon you'll be able to get that reach that you lost I have to go back to
hear what you have talked about with LinkedIn life oh there's nothing to say
about LinkedIn live Ross you don't have to go back for that you can go back but
you don't have to go back for that o only thing I could say about LinkedIn
live is that it's gonna be a slow road out slow slow roll out a slow roll out
Cathy Hackl is the only person that I know who has it and she was on the
social media talk show Friday Facebook reached out to me yesterday let's chat
when you're done here okay great yeah let's do that so on the social
media talk show Cathy Hackl came out and
she got selected for the beta program you know everybody knows this is example
of being having your niche and being expert in your niche everybody knows
that Cathy Hackl has been plugging away the VR and you know virtual reality and
the augmented reality she has never wavered since I first met her over on
periscope she's been talking about this same thing okay
and thank you Ross said he loves how I'm using a GTV yeah thank you so much Ross
but you know and I don't know that that's why they picked her they also
could pick she also was bilingual and she's just also very amazing she's just
amazing woman so I don't know I don't know why they picked her but I do know
that you know I felt bad because I copied a link that somebody from social
media examiner posted which was a page there you can apply to be on LinkedIn
live and here I didn't read it I just copied and pasted that link and then
Alice said you know you can't then then I read it no you can't apply the link
actually says you can't apply I'm like why would they even put up a page that
says oh apply no the page the title of the page is like apply for LinkedIn live
something like that and then when you read what it says it says you can't
apply for LinkedIn live link doesn't resolve properly if you're not eligible
well yeah they should just send out invitations for folks that are eligible
I mean why send people to a page that I I just the system knows if you're
eligible okay all right yeah I I just think that's a backwards way to do it
because then that just leaves a lot of people disappointed because it's only
gonna be a very small handful of people that are qualified right is especially
since it's only rolling out in the u.s. anyway and nobody knows right now but
they're basing it off they're basing it on how active you are how much
engagement you have how many people you're connected with nobody knows right
cuz it just came out two days ago three days ago whatever
ah you know and it's like I'm sure it's gonna be fine but they're no partnering
with all these different outfits and then like switcher switcher live is one
Cathy Hackl has a TV background she was nominated for an Emmy she's amazing
I just left her I've always loved her I knew her back from I think periscope was
first I could have met her on meerkat I'm not sure but I know for sure it was
periscope was definitely where I saw her before she came over to blab I had
already you know connected with her over on periscope and I really knew that she
was very very tech savvy very smart and like I said she's bilingual so that way
she can do streams in both languages if if she needed to
Spanish it's her other language that I know of her she may even have more
languages I personally as I don't know so yeah there's a podcaster who wants me
to come on his show and he's got three languages that he speaks and it's funny
because I heard somebody say you know today that he was bilingual and then I
was saying myself no he's not he got three languages but I said you know
that's why I made sure to say that birdy Lynn hello bilingual is a major plus yes
yes yes I'm fairly unilingual but Tisch bilingual - that's right hashtag Tisch
my girl tissue Rosales my hashtag I would just she's by lingual as well and
her other language is Spanish all right guys it's been so much fun

but um guys so what I want to talk about though so that was the whole thing about
LinkedIn life I don't know anything else other than what I just told y'all uh the
other thing though is the Facebook stories Facebook page stories it's a way
for you to actually get back in front of your audience I know hard to believe
that you can do that right okay so guys um let me know leave a comment remember
her I should leave a comment leave a comment let me know what you want me to
talk about next Instagram Facebook ly or Facebook I'm sorry Facebook stories
whatever you guys want will be my legs live stream but don't I ask for stuff on
I had to do oh but I don't mind or research cuz that
was my last livestream do your research because we had some people on the
internet talking about some stuff they didn't know what they were talking about
these were really smart people too but they were wrong oh I was speaking of
that really quickly there is another one I called this person out on Twitter I
don't know if they responded to me or not yet they were talking about anger
y'all know I get the hair stand up on my back when people start saying bad stuff
about anchor right and in this podcast is very smart person we're saying how
the sponsors on anchor or the ads on anchor people are going to be hearing
all these bad advertisers on anchor literally first of all what does that
mean it's a bad advertiser what does that mean but anywho yeah just so
happens that this person was talking about their sponsor which is Squarespace
and I promptly tweeted him did you know that Squarespace is one of the sponsors
on anchor you know since you're talking about bad sponsors and bad advertising
we'd love to have you on my podcast okay birdie man I love the talk as you can
see so sure get in touch with me you are the truth hashtag the truth thank you
yeah so we'll see if this super super intelligent person who sometimes doesn't
know what he's talking about will respond to my tweet because I don't
really know him I know weird he probably don't know who I am
he's probably already pissed off at me yeah you know how people make excuses
I just know somehow is gonna be like oh yeah mm-hmm how many times have you
heard a Squarespace ad okay let me ask the question this way how many times
have you wanted to hear a Squarespace ad yeah nobody's hand went up what if he
doesn't know he'll soon find out yeah that's right you all know nobody want to
hear a Squarespace err on your podcast I'm sorry no offense Squarespace I'm not
saying anything bad about spirit space I'm saying don't nobody want to hear
Squarespace ad on a podcast that's my opinion okay so with that and with all
my little controversies and controversies and not conspiracies
because youtube doesn't like conspiracy theories Squarespace sponsors lots of
YouTube videos oh I wouldn't know because I have YouTube premium so I
never seen a spread Squarespace what you do if you're talking about people
actually saying something about spirits right I haven't watched any of those
videos probably cuz if I saw that as part of the subject line of the video I
wouldn't watch it oh but thanks for the info Pat I appreciate it like I said I'm
not picking on Squarespace I had nothing against them I think it's great that
people have used that to get their websites up it's wonderful I'm just
saying that to me it's ironic that someone would say
that there's bad ads and they don't even know what advertisers are but you know
and and somebody else earlier owe me that whole conversation has gone nuts
anchor against the world is revealing some sour ideas and so many smart people
are saying silly thing yes because somebody else said today something about
a podcast you know was not really all that great but it was an anchor level
what anchor podcasters are people too no I meant sponsor which means the youtuber
takes the time to talk about Squarespace their content is usually so good though
it these are ones that tend to use ain't that's a truth yes we are yes anchor
podcasters are people too and just like there's some lousy podcasters I don't
mean that there as a person here lousy but just like their content is lousy on
Lipson there's also some very very good content on anchor tenant search say Amen
okay so don't think that because somebody is on anchor that that makes
them less then because they're not the same way that you all podcasters yes I'm
getting a born my podium just the same way that people in radio used to make it
seem like podcasters was less than now you a podcaster and you're gonna try to
make it seem like podcasters are less than because they own a different host
give me a break
don't get me riled up about that because I know some dedicated
podcasters on anchor then you have all those bad websites hosted by your big
sponsors not mentioning any names right so with that I think that um now
me you know I said earlier this week that God gave us two ears and one mouth
for a reason so we can listen more than we speak so before I speak about
something that I don't know what I'm talking about
oh boy shut up and I'm going to spend the rest of the day listening and doing
my research and if she'll want to hear me going off on a rant about people not
doing their research check out the video that I did on Monday and so that was
nice and eat it know hashtag for my hashtag ologist
