What Should Have Happened to Earth When Master Roshi Destroyed the Moon? | Dragon Ball Code - Duration: 3:36.
When Goku was fighting master Roshi in the Tenkaichi Budokai and became a great ape,
master Roshi had no other option, but to blow up the moon to reverse the transformation.
Well, I guess that wasn't his only option, he could've gone for the tail, but he instead
he went for the moon.
But when he blew up the moon there were no changes on earth.
It was just like nothing had ever happened.
The reality is that the moon is very important for earth.
So today we're going to see what should've happened on earth when master Roshi destroyed
the moon.
Hey how's it going my name is Raf and welcome to Dragon Ball code.
Today we are going to be taking about what should've happened on earth when master Roshi
destroyed the moon.
And if your first time here and you like Dragon Ball content consider subscribing because,
this channel is all about Dragon Ball.
So like I said before master roshi was fighting Goku in the tournament and all the sudden
Goku looked at the Moon and he transformed into a great ape.
Goku clearly had the advantage, but he was out of control.
Master Roshi not seeing any other way around it, he shot a Kamehameha at the Moon and blew
it up.
A little bit drastic if you ask me.
Then Goku was able to go back to normal, but now the moon was gone.
So when master Roshi blew up the moon the first thing that should've happened would
have been a bunch of pieces from the moon falling into earth like meteors.
This wouldn't have destroyed the Earth, but it would've caused a lot of damage, tsunamis
and could have potentially killed a bunch of people depending on how big the pieces
were and where they landed.
The pieces that did not fall on earth would start forming a ring around the Earth like
the one that Saturn has, and because of this, the earth would have a bunch of meteors coming
down frequently.
Another thing that should have happened would be that the oceans would not have tides anymore.
This would affect the ecosystem of the oceans and a lot of species would be in danger.
Another thing is that a day instead of being 24 hours, would be about 6 to 12 hours.
Because the moon is the one that slows the earth down with gravity making days longer.
By not having the moon anymore, the earth would start to speed up making the days shorter.
That wouldn't to be the only thing affected by speed, as a consequence of spinning faster,
winds on Earth would be a lot faster as well and I'm talking at about 100 mph and then
when hurricanes appeared they would have even stronger winds.
An obvious one would be that the nights would become much darker making the stars even brighter.
That would make nights even prettier, but that would be the only thing that would be
nice to see.
Another bad thing would be that the earth would slowly start to tilt more than it supposed
to.
This would make weather crazy and unpredictable.
Places that never see snow would get snow and places that are always cold would be hot.
Just with this tilt there would be natural disasters all the time.
And if it didn't tilt at all.
There would be no seasons.
The whole year would be the same.
Those are some of the things that should've happened, then when Kami returned the moon,
everything would start falling into place with the exception of the ring of rocks around
the earth.
But then piccolo blows of the moon again when gohan transforms.
And the same stuff would start to happen again.
But this time the amount of debris falling from the sky would be a lot more making it
even more dangerous.
There are many more things that should've happened on earth when the moon blew up, but
these are just some of the bigger ones.
So master Roshi blowing up the moon was pretty reckless.
And also piccolo, but Piccolo was mean at first so something like that it would be expected
from him.
But not from someone as wise as master Roshi.
And there you have it

FNIMJ | What I Got For Christmas | Money Challenge Begins | Happy Mail - Duration: 14:33.
hey everyone its Gretchen here catnpaws Friday night in my jammies happy
new year hope everyone had a great kickoff to their 2019 and that you even
had a better December with the holidays uh what's been kickin same ol here back
to the grind of things want to show you what I got for Christmas and what I've
been up to actually has some happy mail I'd like to share so let's go ahead and
just get into it my sister's came to visit they came the
Sunday before Christmas so what the 23rd and they left Christmas Eve the 24th to
head back because they had to do some traveling and my younger one wanted to
be home to go to church and then my older one had to travel beyond that so
it was fun having them here they my older sister brought her dog along and
foxy and Daisy they have a very much hate hate relationship but things were
good Chris kept the dogs up in the room for the most part and they came down
every now and then but when they started acting up we just took them back up so
it worked out and they got to meet Chloe and hang out with her for a little bit but so it
was oh no it was nice so this is the by our
presents came in and I just been keeping this here so I can show you guys and
then I can put everything away I've had a pretty good Christmas okay first up
let me show you my pajamas these are new new Christmas pajamas
uh-huh polka dots polka dots and then I also got a pair of flamingos with
Christmas lights like around its body and I think that was everything all my
mother-in-law sent me a $50 Yankee Candle gift card gift card so I got that
to spend I have not been to the SAS so yet I haven't been to the bathroom buddy
works that's ASL yet I hope to make it wise to what gonna go on for another two
or three weeks so hopefully I'll make it there sometime to spend a little money
my um coupon for bath and buy trips and my gift card for Yankee I know if I
don't know a reward certificate - from that they call I did before but was it
Black Friday no it was before then I ordered that stuff I think with the
advent calendar so it Samantha I said I wanted one of her cards that
she had got to send out and there's the car blank inside that's all right
I plan to use this part but she did stick it in the envelope and sealed it I
had that and Christmas oh say my mother-in-law she sent me a card just
letting me know that there should be a gift card in your email and it sure was
so we left her out was there she has that such pretty cursive handwriting I
think my mom had and it you know kind of was a lost art with the younger
generations I kind of do the print cursive combo which teachers of course
crown upon that I asked for this specifically not for this design but
what this felt so my window in my car when I try to scrub the front of it it I
can't get my shorter to write about the dashboard as I asked Samantha for one of
these cleaner thingies is it microfiber mini duster and I
figure I ought to spread my glass cleaner on there and then just I can
wipe my window down it's so smeary right now and comes off
and you can wash it and - good morning so that's that mark did well this year
Michael scored yeah I don't know how much is what but I
will find out I did go to Michael's last weekend we went to get coffee at Bed
Bath & Beyond and I said well let me just go ahead and walk down to Michael's
and see what they have for the clearance event the after Christmas and I got a
few things but nothing much and I still got to do that haul but it's just I'm
looking at it small bag of stuff just but I did not take my gift card I know
what you're thinking I will spend it my sister's got me a gift card and it was
inside a gob bag you know God worthy like you may know them as whoopie pies
the cake was icing in the middle so that was in there with that and my sister's
got me these notepads
nice reason a pack together and here's a good sound looks like pick
up those might have some stuff in here too I don't want to mix this stuff with
mine and then you know well you may not know but my sister is also on a brick
and mortar store topic Harry preferred a popping and they sound like lip balm and
soap and bold bath bombs and that kind of thing so I got oatmeal scrub I think
the younger sister said there's goat's milk in this I think she said that I'm
not a big bar soap kind of gal but I'm sure it'll be good for steak shaving my
legs and whatever cleaning myself also got a candy cane bath bomb smells like
peppermint ah smells like soap but I smell them before peppermint and then
also a Christmas
it smells like soap teensy little Holly in their house in their mind taking
upstairs anyways so I do that and then nine yeah me and this one is prone is by
Cathy snowflake wide mouth mason jar light so has a light screwed on and
there so that was in this box I got mad we stuff to shucks yeah there's a pearl
in there oh yeah yeah that's just that's beautiful and then my last present was
oh wait bought me something oh break up me a millionaire raffle
ticket I put it away because I want to become a millionaire this week in case
you didn't know so he got me that and then this is from mark as well this
means that I helped him pick out the little gift box
yeah mm-hmm Tuesday morning discard and that is what I got for Christmas
oh no can't complain that's a good stuff help good gift cards oh I forgot one
thing Samantha did get me one of those if I'm looking at it up there
snap-on microphones just around crafting it kind of blocks out the extra noise
and picks up my voice better so that was nice that was a Gretchen request along
with this so she got me everything asked for my parties so I hope you guys did
you know got what she wanted and had a nice Christmas and got to spend time
with family and friends I know it's a hard season it is um lots of memories
and some good some bad and a lot of friends out there that just I know had a
hard time this season so my thoughts and prayers always go out to you and hoping
that you found some joy and maybe a little bit of peace this Christmas
season but we're moving in and playing 19 now and I stopped to put my Christmas
stuff away but I'll do it it's not the twelfth day of Christmas yet coming up
soon though I also wanted to share some copy mill this is from secondhand Tracy

a lot of repurposing what is called when you do something over like when you make
something old new again repurposing maybe there's Thor challenges all and
let's say you so much Hollis she does a lot of challenges and things like that
so she's fun to watch I'll link her channel below you can get my cord out
Christmas brings you all that you're wishing for and more enjoy that
grandbaby and the wonders of Christmas from Tracy and cookie and then back in
no we mean envelopes we have an issue not really but a little bit happy mail
from chocoholic and I'm so so glad I got something from her because I was going
to leave her like when she left to come and say hey is your address with it but
I think it is because I have something to send you chocoholic she sent me some
stickers I can eat the glass bottles and Oh mason jars under yeah bust oh thank

my printer I'm gonna print something off for you and it's not the same thing I
sent you before though there's something different I sent her a picture of Luna
to her grandson look at that I'm trying to put this envelope and tall and in
Tracey's envelope but let's go ahead 20:19 kickoff money challenge week 1 I

Why Legendary Marketer? What you need to know before you join!!! - Duration: 19:25.
Hello all I'm Timesha and welcome to my fourth day of prosperity challenge
100 day prosperity challenge where I am going to change my life by
starting new business and
Hopefully fire my boss next year in 2019
Today, I'm discussing with you the program that I'm in and if you want to find out more information about that
You can click the link in the description box below
So the question is why am I in?
Legendary marketer. So before I give you that information, let me talk to you more about my background. So
before I started legendary marketer, I started several series of
businesses in the summer looking for a way to get out of teaching because I
Was trading schools and I just didn't want to go back to teaching
So I started with fitness because I love fitness as of May
Of last... Well May of this year actually
2018 I have lost close to 40 pounds
and I'm excited about that and I have a lot of knowledge not wealth knowledge and I haven't given up on that but
I kind of put that aside a little bit but back to my story. I love fitness. I love exercise. I love nutrition
I love everything about it
and at the time that I was looking
For a way out of teaching I had lost 20 pounds and I wanted to share my knowledge with the world
so I started off with a Shopify store or ecommerce store and
I worked heavily in it and I realized I would not be able to keep up that pace once school started
so I was still new and I still was new about learning how to find ways to make money online and
I knew of Clickbank and I knew that
promoting other people's
products would be
More beneficial way of me making money because I wouldn't have to do a lot of answering the phones I wouldn't have to
Handle, a lot of customer feedback and trying to make sure that they were
Happy with their products. Like I would have to do with an actual store
So I decided to switch my goal from being ecommerce to affiliate marketing
and I found a product to promote and
I bought it because I was so to do so to make sure that I know well a lot about the products before I put
it out on the marketplace and give my
opinion on the
Products you have to know about the product in order for you to help other people and people aren't just gonna you know, go
Yeah, and click on the link
So you have to know about the product so people will, you know, respect your opinion
whether you decide whether they decide to buy it or not, so I
Have bought the product I wanted to make sure that it worked and it did it worked
And I had I worked on it
but I had no idea how to drive traffic I learned about Facebook ads and I was doing I
Was doing Facebook ads I wasn't doing too well with it
But I was I know how to do Facebook ads, but my funds were running low
So I needed to figure out another way to drive traffic
so fast forward a couple of months, I
I was still trying to learn and
school started and I ran out of time basically because once school started my whole
Goal and mindset shifted to teaching and I was at a new school and it was overwhelming
There was a whole lot of stuff that I had to learn
It was a huge learning curve
which I didn't think I was going to have because I was still teaching the same subject but
The different school with different schools come different cultures
and my requirements were different and so
being shocked that
I was in this new environment basically sealed my fate with teaching. I was like I can't do this anymore. I'm done. It's over with
So, but I was still having problems
with my
Fitness business. I still couldn't get it off the ground
I didn't even have time to do it, you know doing all the Facebook posts doing Facebook ads
I didn't have time to
properly review my product
So it was basically like I was coming to a dead end and I didn't know how to make it succeed
I was frustrated, but I was still determined to find the answer
And so I still kept looking even though I kind of put it on the side burner
so
a couple of months later one of my gurus subscribe
That I subscribe to do through YouTube sent me an email about how to make money online
This how to make money online system. I
You know took a look at it, you know, click through on
link at first and I was like
I'm not trying to make money online. I mean I am trying to make money online
Rephrase that but I'm not trying to get into the system. I know nothing about making money online
I want to do fitness. That's what I know. I can give a greater
help to people because I know that field I don't know anything about making money online and I did not want to
Fail at another attempt at a business and I didn't want to sit there and try to figure out how to do it though
I love the idea of helping people make money online
that I would have to do more research and
You know, I was still teaching. I didn't know if I would have the time for it
so even eventually what happened is I just clicked off the link and I didn't even finish the
Little video presentation that was presented to me
So two months later, I am down in the dumps
because
I am stressed out due to work
It seems like the more work that I do the less the less
headway I get. I'm not being productive I have
I have things that I haven't even started yet and you know is coming towards the end of the
The well Christmas break basically it was well, actually it was coming towards
Thanksgiving break and I still had so much work to do and if I wasn't making an headway
and I was feeling down and discouraged and I was sitting in the parking lot of a
a
grocery store because you know I get snooty sometimes and I like for them to bring me my groceries because I don't want to always
Fight the grocery traffic. Don't judge me. Okay
so at this time
I was sitting at the grocery store parking lot waiting for my groceries and I checked my email and
Here it is again
The Guru has sent me another email about the same opportunity and I'm like, you know, what?
Let me let me just take a look at it
and so I decided to click on the link again and this time I watched the video and
I have to say it was it was captivating
you know learning about Dave Sharpe and his story and learning about how
You know things worked in that arena, you know
And at the end of the little presentation he was talking about how you could look at the program for the price of a dinner
Then at that time, you know, I had money for dinner
You know, I didn't have a whole lot of money, but I had a little money for dinner, you know
And so I was like, well, you know, why not at least give it a shot see if it will work
I
See if this is even interesting if this is even something that I would even want to do
So I clicked on the link to sign up and I was like thirty dollars isn't a bad investment just to check it out
You know
so I you know went ahead to check it out took the opportunity to check it out and
immediately
I was paired with a coach and I was given an outline to follow they call it the 15 core steps and I did the
15 course steps and
I was blown away. I mean it was amazing
First of all, I love Dave Sharpe and his honesty and authenticity
The way he presented himself and his story
Gave me confidence and hope in the product and what he was able to offer to the marketplace
First of all, he's a ninth-grade dropout because he had a baby
Well, he got a young lady pregnant and they had a baby together. Okay, he was talking about how he dealt with drug
Addiction and homelessness and at that time he had started the business
He was also a construction worker
So, you know he was not
successful in any way. He was struggling he
Had issues, you know similar to what I came from. Well, I didn't have drug addiction
I wasn't homeless but you know, I was strapped for cash
previously to coming to Houston and so the fact that I related to that story I
understood where he was coming from and how I didn't want to go back to that and how he was giving me an
Option to get out of that
So he started his business and he said after seven years he made over 200 million dollars in sales
And I remember how that is one heck of a story
but
What does that have to do with me? Um
so
At the time that I was thinking that and I was pondering
the program I started thinking about the knuckleheads that I teach, you know, the ones that have
issues with learning and the ones that you know people kind of throw away and say, you know
nothing good is gonna happen to them and
I realized you know, he's one of them. He was one of them
he was one of the ones that the teachers would have thrown away and
I
Realized that they did it, you know, and if he could make it why couldn't I make it and
He was living the life I wanted and I'm not talking about all the material stuff because I really don't care about you know
the big huge
Houses and the very expensive cars. That's not my thing
But I want to I want to be free, you know
I want to be able to be free to live the life that I want to live if I want to get up and
Travel and go see, you know, my brother
I want to have the freedom to do that if I want to go and you know pay for my child
To take you know ballet and tap lessons, you know, I want to be able to do that
I want to be like penny-pinching like no, baby
I can't do that this month because you know
The car has issues and we got to do this and we gotta pay for that
I don't want to be able I don't want to be in a position where I'm hindering my life
Due to money and the circumstances around money
So I went through the 15 core steps and he dropped some knowledge that I didn't really even think about and it was eye-opening
To realize all of the things that he was talking about him saying in his program and he taught me stuff
I didn't know and I am so grateful to that because
It opened my eyes to a different way of thinking in my business and when he broke down his business model, man
I got excited about how
You can earn money and how you can take opportunities to get money
It was really a great program
And so then he addressed the support that you would have and the templates that you would get and the access to
Coaches that will handle our customer calls and I was sold because that was my issue with e-commerce
The fact that I would have to do it all on my own and I didn't have anybody there that was going to help me
You know answer customer questions, you know, be there to support and I you know
I'm usually I want to be hands-on but with my full-time job
I can't so the fact that he offered that option and that's an option in his program
Made it a great deal for me. So
Automation and how he talked about automation how automation is wonderful and how you set up automation
So I wouldn't have to do it all on my own again
Like I said, especially while I was learning, you know
Setting up my emails and all of the templates and everything in the background
It just worked for a person who is working and still needs to learn
So I was grateful for that opportunity
so I signed up and I've been excited ever since and the knowledge bank in the actual program is vast and you don't have to
Market his program you can take this knowledge and basically do anything with it. You can be successful in any type of
niche or any type of marketing or business based on the information that he gives you so it's not just
You know how to be a
digital marketer or how to be an affiliate marketer
you can take this and do well with e-commerce you can take this and do well and
basically any
Standalone business. I mean, it's a great knowledge base and I was so
grateful that I found it now I
Told you all of the pros
There are some cons. I mean not everything is perfect
first of all
there's
There's cost to this program. I mean, it's not like, you know, you pay like your $30 and it's it you get everything
It's awesome. And there are some cost to come up towards the end that your like... I didn't know this is gonna happen. Okay?
I got into it for the cheaper cost
But when there's not bad, you know, 2,500 wasn't bad compared to all the information they give you I mean the program is worth it
But you don't have to do the masterminds which really really costs a lot of money and if especially if that's an uncomfortable
For you, I didn't do it and it's uncomfortable for you. You don't have to either
See if the program works for you and if it does then you'll have your money. To go ahead and
You know pay for the masterminds if that's what you want to do in the future
also the templates that they have
It's not refreshed - on a regular basis and they're used by a lot of people which can cause some issues
Later on with SEO and stuff like that. So at some point you want to think about
Starting and making your own emails having your own ad copy if you're doing ads
Especially if you want to build your own brand and make this in your own business
You need to stand out on your own and in order to do that. You need to have your own voice
You don't need your customers listening to Dave all the time
You want them to listen to you
Because when you bring other things from the marketplace, you want them to trust you not just Dave
So doing your own emails doing your own ad copy
doing your own sales and capture pages and
you know doing your own click funnels setting up your own automatic or
Autoresponder for your emails is important for you in your business. So
The quicker you can get to that point the better it would be for you
But where Dave has you is a great start
You don't want Dave to own your OWN business and after 45 days
You'll have to send your own email marketing system anyway
so it's good to start doing stuff on your own and getting the hang of it and
attracting your own clients
Anyway, but the good thing is they teach you also how to do all of this. Oh, you're not alone
You still have support. Their Facebook
Page is amazing. You can ask and talk to anybody
And they'll help you out
They're really really nice people and it's basically a one-stop shop to get you where you want to go in the online
marketing niche and
It's awesome. I love it. So
With all that being said there is no system. That is perfect
There's going to be problems in everything because we are human, you know, they're not gonna like any program
totally so
however, if you are thinking about becoming a super affiliate a legendary marketer
or if you are looking to do
Anything bigger and better with your business this system will help you get there. Their benefits are great
Their knowledge is awesome and you're just, especially if, you're just starting out and you don't know anything
The coaches are great
they're cool people and even the people on Facebook that aren't coaches but
You know are successful in legendary marketer
Do not mind, you know helping you out telling you giving you some tips and tricks of the trade
You know to help you be successful and also the coaches
That Dave has on staff will close your sale for you. So that's an awesome thing. You don't have to worry about that
And let me think is there anything else
the also Dave has
Awesome ideas, and he's always bringing new things to you. Not only does it have the Facebook post. He also has
Daily
conference calls where he talks about
New cutting-edge things that you need to be thinking about to help you in your business

What Would Jeff Do? Dog Training Tip of the Day #187 Leash Reactivity - Duration: 4:01.
- Hey everybody, how are you?
Jeff Gellman, Solid K9 Training,
with my What Would Jeff Do Dog? Training Tip of the Day,
tip number 187.
I was taking a morning walk this morning.
And I'm thinking about leash reactivity.
And I'm thinking about some of the phone calls
that I did this week.
And it's a major problem for so many people.
And let me just give a couple of helpful hints here
and tips for some folks that,
like how did it start and what can you do?
I was just thinking that I feel really strongly about,
everything I say obviously,
when you've got a young dog, pre-one years old,
or even if you've just got a dog that's older,
you just get the dog,
and you allow this dog to go up and greet people
and go up and greet other dogs,
which is normal by the way,
like you want your dog to be friendly,
you want your dog to be social,
you wanna show people that you have a dog,
I mean I get it.
I get the whole concept.
The issue is a lot of times
between nine and 12 months of age,
a lot of these dogs that all of the sudden
just like flip a switch.
And they go from the excitement of seeing people
to now more audible and more pulling,
and what might look aggressive.
Or when they finally see people,
they, they exhibit some aggressive behavior.
That doesn't mean it's aggression.
But I'm just, a lot of people misinterpret it.
But either way it doesn't matter.
It's not acceptable behavior and it freaks you out.
So what started out as cute,
ends up turning maybe not so cute.
We see that a lot of times.
Same thing with a dog that maybe you just get,
it's older, that for the first couple of weeks
it seems social, but then all of the sudden,
it's not as social.
Now, socialization of your dog with humans
and dogs is obviously important.
But this is a different category.
And I'm not saying don't socialize.
But on the streets, on the walk,
having your dog meet all of these people
is not what our idea of socialization is.
And the issue for most of the leash reactivity
that we see, a lot of the time, it's just excitement.
So,
but you don't want that either.
You don't want this once 20 to 30 to 40 pound dog
that's now bigger to be excited on a leash.
Or if you have a small breed dog you don't want it.
They get more audible, they pull more.
They're more dramatic.
They get, they get more, you know,
theatrical if you wanna say that.
So from the very beginning,
we're huge advocates of just teaching your dog
how to properly walk next to you on a leash,
quietly, and, when I say focused on the handler,
that doesn't mean competition heel focus.
Because you can't do that for long periods of time.
And it's not practical for most dogs or people.
What I mean by that is,
is sort of become everything to your dog
and tune everything out.
Now if you want your dog to meet other dogs and people
that would be a separate time to do that.
But the walk is not for that.
The walk is actually for, for work.
So just think about that on the walk about
which one do you want.
And then some folks are like,
well I'm struggling with massive leash reactivity now.
But I just want to be able to walk up to other dogs
and it be polite, or walk up to people and be polite.
In concepts, that's, that's a good idea, right.
And there's so many dogs out there
that probably can do it.
Remember, all my information is skewed
on the clients that we get.
The issue is,
when you meet the people they might do something
that might get your dog too excited.
Or maybe they might make a bad choice.
Sticking their face in your dog's face.
Or when you meet the other dog,
that dog might start getting really really rambunctious.
Next thing you know you've got
leashes wrapped around your legs.
And then dogs can't properly greet.
And it looks like, it looks like aggression.
So just be super careful.
Let's turn the walk into like, a job.

Madly in love with you.

What is perfect tense? Video two. - Duration: 8:00.
This is one of my favorite explanations because I am very fortunate to have many
Brazilian students, and my Brazilian students come to class with a lot of
frustration. So let me tell you how I've explained it to them, and how I have been
getting results. Remember, this is a long video. If you haven't watched part one, I
really recommend you do get the idea, and then let's carry on. Don't forget there's
a blog that has the whole thing laid out for you, so if you have any problems you
can pause the video, and read the text. I wanted to make sure that it was very
very clear, and that it had everything you needed. When I was a little girl, I
hated cleaning my room, so I always was looking for excuses, and my mother would
be like: "clean your room" A-ha. "Clean your room" uh-huh. So my mother would
finally say: "Leslie clean your room". And I would be like: "Can I do it after
the show?" And she would be like: "I don't care! I'm going to work, when I come back
that room has to be clean. So just get it done! I don't care when you do it! I don't
care how you do it. Just do it". And here what we do is we
focus on the action, we don't care when it happens, but we care about that action.
Simple tense worked more about giving information. Progressive tense worked
about time. Perfect tenses is like: I don't care. I just don't care. I just want to make sure
that that action is done. So here we select perfect tense. This is a simple
memory trick that I recommend for my students: you have to do something, right?
That action? So use have, but the verb has to participate, so you use participle.
Haha. See the trick there? So subject have, has or had, verb in participle and any other information
that is relevant. First reason to use perfect tense. So let's begin with a very,
very simple example which is: the task list. Adam has
a series of events he has to do. When he finishes one, he goes on to the next one.
He has to open the office, he has to check his voicemails, etc, etc. When he has
finished two, and he is doing the third one, the first two - we can use perfect tense.
Adam has opened the office Adam has listened to his voicemail, and now he is
checking his emails. So we go from present perfect to present progressive.
The other way that I use present perfect is when I want to give an excuse. Now if
I have a project, and I have two weeks, and I didn't do it, and I did at the last
possible moment. I don't want people to know that I didn't do it with time. An
example: I do it the last two days, and my teacher says: "Leslie, how is your project
going? "Oh I've done the introduction and the analysis. I'm working on the last
part." "Good job Leslie. I'm glad you didn't
leave it for the last moment". Me: "Nah! Of course not". The idea here is that I want to be ambiguous.
I don't want my teacher to discover that I didn't actually do it with time. So I'm
shifting the attention from when I did it, to doing the action. Another way that
I use the perfect tense is when I want to explain that this is a promise that
is kept, that it hasn't changed. So if my dear Adam is telling me: "Leslie, why are
you talking to other people?" And I'm like: "Whatever". And he's like: "Are you, ah, do you like him?
Tell me the truth". I would be like: "I've never cheated on you." That
means from the beginning of our relationship until now, this event has
never happened. So again, I want to make sure that time details are irrelevant, I
just want to confirm that the action is the same. The action is my focus. A final
example is bragging. Bragging is you want to say haha I do this, I do that,
but you don't want to really want to give a lot of details. Like, I've drunk tequila,
whiskey and vodka, all in the same party. Right? Check, check, check.
So why don't I want to put it in past tense? Because I want to make sure that
it looks like I do this all the time.
Like I am so cool
I drove a Ferrari when I was 18. That's a specific moment, and I don't have access
to the car anymore. Of course I have driven expensive cars.
Like, hello! What do you think you are? I do this all the time! So I've gone
to Paris means action done. Twice. But I'm leaving it open to maybe doing it again.
You see it's a lifestyle. When I say I went to Paris, it means the action is
finished, it's like information and not necessarily that I want to repeat it, or
I can repeat. The last thing is when you're annoyed or bothered. And this is
when we link present perfect, present simple, and some people refer to it as
the past of present. So, the perfect tense becomes the past of the simple tense, and
again they are linked, so I have lost my keys, I don't know when I lost my keys, I
don't know how I lost my keys. I don't care about the details, what I care is -
I don't have my keys, and there I cannot open the door, so I can't open the door
because of this past action. I'm here to give another example that is similar:
when girls are drinking, and one girl says to the other: "Hey make sure that I
don't call my ex-boyfriend". And you're like: "Yeah". And you take her phone, and
then later she takes the phone, and you're like: "Oh my God. She has taken the
phone. Where is she?" This is a perfect moment, you don't know
when she took the phone, you know the phone was taken.
I made a small little summary where I say: experience until now. Have we met before
at any time in the past? Second, some type of event that affects my current status. No
coffee for me. I've had some before. An ongoing situations. I have lived in
this apartment. So I have done it in the past, I continue to do it in the present
and maybe I will do it in the future, but it's not really about the details
it's about: check, I've lived in apartment. I haven't lived in a house. And this is
my final explanation, and this really helps specially my students that speak
Portuguese. I consider present perfect like many
young boys wanting to lose their virginity. They don't care how they do it,
they don't care where they do it, they just want to do the action. So all the
details are irrelevant, it's about the action. So this is a perfect example of
present perfect versus simple tense. Simple tense would give you all the
information. Perfect tense would be like: Yeah, I am no longer a virgin. Yes, dude,
dude! In summary: present simple - giving information, retelling sequence of events.
Progressive talking about a focal point or expanding time. Perfect says details
are irrelevant, let's focus on: is the action done? Or not done? So if the action
is very important, we use perfect tense.

What are conditionals? Video four. - Duration: 16:16.
Hi. So this is the fourth video. If you haven't seen the videos before, I really
recommend that you see them. There is the logic of how I got here. Remember these
videos are long, so make sure you have your sandwich and water, or soda
depending on how unhealthy you want to be, and sit down, take a moment; you can
pause me at any time, go and check the blog, and then you can play continue to
play, and let's go! So I want to clarify one very important key thing, and it has
to do with real versus wish. Now I start with a very simple example: I want to be
a good baker, and every time that I look at a cake on television, and I see how
beautiful it is, I think I can do that too. So my wish is to make this beautiful
cake that you can see in the blog, but my reality
wha-wha-wha is very different, so in my mind I am a chef, but in reality I am not.
I'm just a teacher. So now - teacher Leslie would be able to
do something in this fantastic world, but real Leslie cannot do it so when I'm
talking about fantasy Leslie, fantasy chef Leslie, I would use would, and when
I'm talking about real Leslie, I would have to use will, so that is how I break
reality from fantasy. I know that in Russian you have subjunctive, and this
is how you use it, but the problem is translating; so try very hard not to
translate them as we go understanding those key elements, and this will help you
understand the logic or lack of logic in the English language. And here are more
examples: I will pay my bills on Monday. That's reality - I would like to pay my
bills if I had more money. I still have more bills, I don't have money but I have
the intention. I will work on this project this month, so this
is happening, or I would like to work in Rome but I don't have a visa. So here I'm
telling you I want to do it, but I don't, I can't do it, so I'm telling you about
my wishes but not necessarily my reality. These notions are mixed in conditionals
and this is very important, and we're going to subdivide fantasy into another
two areas: One when it's just a wish, but there is still the possibility of it
happening, and the second one when it's more of a mirage, when it's more of an
illusion, when you something that you know it will never happen, there is no
way this will happen, and this is a little bit in the fantasy realm. Again if
you haven't seen the videos, I recommend that you do. But let's take two key
ingredients from the previous videos: One will - we talk about impulse or immediate
future, and two perfect tense - we are talking about an action being very
important not necessarily time. So let's start with an easy one
and that is zero conditional, and this has to do with cause - effect. This is very
literal, so present simple, present simple the idea is action one happens, action
two will be affected. So it's present because we believe it's to be
real, we are using present for future, and we don't need to speculate. Again, if you
saw my videos before, in future tense when we're sure of something we use
present simple, you are 99% confident. Now, this structure is based in reality we
use this conditional to show an outcome that happens if a specific condition is
met. Like if Leslie learns to read. And the verb in the if clause, and in the
main clause are both in present, and don't forget third-person: doesn't or an
s to that verb. Now it as per the suggestion of fellow Russian teacher, I
decided to add adverbs to explain the concept of time. So if the computer
breaking becomes infected today, or immediately in the future, the
antivirus activates immediately afterwards. So we are still talking about
a possible future in present, but we're guaranteeing it will happen, so we use
this structure when we're talking about facts, when we're talking about routines,
when we're talking about something that continuously happens, because there's no
hesitation: X happens Y happens. If X doesn't happen Y doesn't happen. We need
to be confident, so we use this for general laws or general truths. Yes. My
favourite example is: if Leslie eats chocolate she gains weight, and that's
the truth because every time I eat chocolate boom! So ain't that the truth huh.
Now let's start to speculate, and this is when we use first conditional, so we go
from present to an immediate future with will. Now basically, what we're doing here
is we're saying that one will cause the other. For example, let's imagine me
snowboarding, again in my imagination, I am an athlete, so I would do beautifully,
but if you see this, you would understand that will happen like the picture
in the blog. So consequently, you will be able to decide - ok that person will be
a good athlete, this person won't be a good athlete. So here we speculate what
will be the result, and we are connecting the present to an immediate future. If I
drink tequila, I will have fun, if I don't finish my assignments, I will be in
trouble. Cause - consequence. We use this conditional to show the likely or
possible outcome that will probably happen. It's still a real-life situation,
the if clause is in present, the next one is an immediate future. Make sure to
always put that s with third person, and doesn't in the negative, and my metaphor
here is that this is like dominoes, so one hits and the other one falls. If X
happens Y happens. Again, based on the suggestions, I have
decided to put a little bit of adverbs of time, so if I drink tequila at the bar,
I will relax and sleep well tonight, so we're talking about future. If I don't
finish my assignment tomorrow, I'm talking in present linked to
future, I will be in trouble with my teacher in further away future, so future,
future. Present to future. Again don't translate, it doesn't work. This is important both
situations are in present for an immediate future, because we are
confident, and we're just leaving a very small margin of error. So if we're not
talking about reality, what do we use? Here is when we step from zero and first
to the next conditionals. This is probably the most difficult to
understand because, why are we talking about the future in past? Now the idea is
that we basically are moving from reality, that we express in simple
present or future, to fantasy; and when we express it in past, we're basically saying
"it's not real." Like we say the coulda shoulda woulda, don't mean they are
reality, so here we cross that line, we go from a real situation, and those that we
can imagine as a probability. We often use this time to talk about something we
wished or we desired, but we don't know if it could be real, maybe that's why we
use the past, because it's kind of a way of childishly hoping that we could go
back and change our reality, but we can't; however, with the second conditional
there's still a little bit of possibility, maybe a little crazy, but
it's still possible, it's still achievable. An example of an unlikely
situation: if he won the lottery he would quit his job. He can win the
lottery, the lottery does exist, and he can quit his job; but he doesn't have it
yet, so he can't do it. Another example is: if I had wings I would fly to
Antarctica. Now actually that's kind of a silly example - if I had wings I would
like to Cuba, but details. Wings exist maybe in a fantastic idea, but it's still
kind of probable, it's just expressing a wish, so we use this conditional to
express to something unlikely or impossible, and that probably won't
happen unless a specific condition happens, so if I grow wings I can fly, if
I win the lottery I can quit my job; and I'm still expressing that I wish that
this first thing happens, so this first thing has to happen for me to be able to
do this, so there's always that I can step on this and jump into the water, we
use the past tense, again because we know it's unreal. And a strange rule is that
even with first person, or third person we use - were. This is different from grammar tests to real language.
In real life, when we talk, we do use was. When we do a test, a formal test, you should use were, so be very careful
it's better to go with were in a formal test, and was in real life, but if you have any hesitation
learn were, and then shift back; because it's better to be with the rule than
against the rule. I wanted just to add adverbs of time to clarify this concept,
so if you won - past, the lottery tomorrow morning's, again future, he would quit his
job tomorrow afternoon. So again, if this condition happened in the future then I
would, the second condition would happen, and I'm expressing it in past because
it's not real. In other words, if extraordinary condition X happened, then
there would be the option of condition Y happening, or Y, you know who you
are, the mix of a possibility intertwining when the reality is the
basis of this conditional. So again, we're shifting from present reality to past
speculation, and this is my favourite example: I look like this, so there are
people that I could possibly attract, like that very handsome gentleman, but
there are people that would never be attracted to a person like me, like a
Seth MacFarlane. The last person, Charles Chaplin has
passed away, so even if for some reason he went a little crazy, and decided to go
out with me, it's impossible: he's dead! The first one it can be zero or first, I
called him Salvatore, the second one Mr. Seth MacFarlane. I was going to basically
use the second conditional, and the third one is the next explanation that we
continue with, so let's go. Remember how I said that you have to have a little bit
of a step in reality to be able to jump? That idea that if I had this even if
it's very difficult to create, if I had this, then I could have this. But what if
you know that you will never have it, that it's not an option, that it's zero,
and you want to express that, you want to express that the pain of knowing that
it's never an option, that's when we use the third conditional. So in this
conditional, things will not change, the future is not affected, Charles Chaplin
will never come back, I will never meet him, and I understand that I can still
meet Seth MacFarlane; but I will never meet Charles Chaplin. So again we focus
into the past, we understand the irony we are having this wish, there is nothing we
can do, and this is why we use the perfect tense, because it's about that
we're focusing on the situation, the action, the details are irrelevant
because they're impossible. A few examples here, if I had remembered to
call my friend last night she wouldn't have send me an angry text message, or
the second one was, this is, I like this one, better, if I had bought Google stock in
1990 I would have been a millionaire by 25. I didn't do it. I can't do it. There's
no way to do it, and I just want to complain. So we show regret, we wish that
there was a different outcome but we know, we are aware that
it will never happen. Another example - this house was too expensive so I didn't
buy it. I would have bought the house if it hadn't been so expensive, One, I know
the house won't change the price. Two, I still have no house. Three, it won't
change. Four, I'm just complaining. I'm just saying that it's not going to change. We
use this a lot to express regret. Example, I drink vodka, I call my ex. So I'm
still hungover. My ex knows I called him, I can't erase his phone. I am angry. If I
hadn't drunk so much vodka I wouldn't have made this terrible mistake.
And my dear Russians. I know you don't drink a lot a lot of vodka, but you know what
people do when they drink vodka, and how they talk the next day. You know the
"I will never drink again." Haha. Remember that one? This
conditional is not very common, because we don't necessarily speculate what
would have happened in the past. We know what really happened.
Adding adverbs of time, sometimes I wish I didn't have to rent an apartment. I
would have bought that house we saw last January if it hadn't been so expensive.
Now that I have the money the house has already been sold to another person. So
my window, my chance was gone. A real-life example: I'm a language teacher. My
parents wanted me to study law, so the idea is is there an alternative reality
where Leslie is a lawyer. No disrespect to lawyers, I would have loved to be a
lawyer, but in my reality I'm a teacher, in the parallel universe I'm a lawyer, so
the idea is that is there two parallel universes, and with this grammatical
tense I'm expressing that at one point in the past it could have changed, but
it's not real now. So we use the perfect tense for absolute unfulfilled wishes,
and for regrets of things not done in the past, focusing on these actions and
knowing the outcome will not change. We use this conditional: we express regrets,
we complain, we have emotional outburst, yes
Canadians have emotional outburst, especially when they
play hockey or drink beer; and we express anger and sadness with this structure.
And finally I put a little bit more information. So I really hope this helps

What is wrong? (20) (Grammar Practice) [ ForB English Lesson ] - Duration: 2:03.
Hello everyone and welcome back to ForB's English lesson video.
My name is Richard and today I'm going to say a sentence, and I'd like you to find the mistake.
Are you ready?
Would you mind open the window, please?
Would you mind open the window, please?
Alright, did you find it?
Let's try that again but this time I will say it a little bit slower.
Are you ready?
Would you mind open the window, please?
Would you mind open the window, please?
Did you find the mistake?
Alright, let's try that again but this time I will show you the sentence.
Are you ready?
Would you mind open the window, please?
Did you find it?
Alright, the mistake is "open".
It should be "opening" because after "mind", you should use the -ing form of the verb.
Not the regular form or the to verb form.
So in this case, the correct way to say this sentence is "Would you mind opening the window, please?"
"Would you mind" is the polite way to ask someone to do something.
Alright?
Alright, so let's practice this sentence together.
Please repeat after me.
Would you mind opening the window, please?
Great, one more time.
Would you mind opening the window, please?
Great, so now you know how to use this expression correctly.
My name is Richard.
