Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus: Meeting you halfway - Duration: 5:36.

Hey guys what is up? It's Andro Matthew here back again with another video

Today I'm reviewing the Samsung Galaxy A8 plus.

I got my device as a review unit from Samsung and I've been using it for almost a month.

Samsung markets this as a premium mid-range device.

But it is more than just premium?

Let's find out.

Specifications & Design

The phone's metal and glass design fits

Samsung's modern flagship design.

It's also got an 18.5:9 ultrawide aspect ratio display which is becoming common with

a lot of flagships.

While rocking a clean look without any home keys

As you can expect with AMOLED, it looks good.

Texts look sharp, the 1080 x 2220 resolution gives more room for apps to appear and 6 inches

helps with productivity and focus.

The CPU specs aren't revolutionary but with 6GBs of RAM, day to day performance is good.

It comes with a 3500 MAH non-removable battery and a USB-C charging port so if you're moving

from a mini USB phone, those chargers won't work anymore.

The battery life is surprisingly good for its size.

I didn't have time to fully battery test this like I did the P2 but A typical work

day leaves me a with some juice left by the end.

It's no road warrior, but it gets the job done.

The speaker placement is unique and I appreciate the thought that went into it.

It's placed on the side of the phone instead of the usual bottom, that means you won't

accidentally cover it up when using the phone sideways – which is how a lot of people

consume media on their phones.

The only downside to this is that because of the extra length, I have to use it with

both my hands which ends up covering the speakers with my fingers anyway.

The A8 Plus also has Face unlock and it's probably going to be the feature that I'll

miss the most going back to my P2.

It's not always instantaneous, other times (especially with my glasses on) it takes its

time.

On the occasion that it takes too long, you can just use the fingerprint scanner on the

back.

And by the way the fingerprint scanner works really fast.

Camera The camera takes good pictures when it comes

down to it.

Very usable for social media.

It lacks the flexibility that usually comes with flagships like full manual controls but

the simplicity comes in handy.

For a lot of my photos, I didn't realize auto HDR was on.

So, many of my outdoor shots had a processed look to it – still the camera took very

decent shots so I'm not complaining.

It struggles to maintain details in lowlight shots but that's expected from any camera.

Simply, your Instagram pictures will look good.

It's not going to set any benchmarks, but it's setting the right example.

The video on the other hand could've been better.

It lacks OIS and relies solely on software stabilization.

The Software stabilization process also crops out your footage.

Adding salt to the wound, there's no 4K recording – you're stuck with 1080p.

It does have somewhat of a saving grace though.

The A8 Plus can record videos in 2224x1080, at an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

It's an irregular resolution – sure, but it does expand your field of view on the sides

and adds a cinematic feel to it.

If you're going to be doing a short film or a cinematic project, this resolution could

come in handy – It's no 4K, but points for flexibility.

I don't use the front camera that often, but Samsung clearly wanted to market this

to people who do cause' they slapped two of them on the phone.

I took a few selfies to test out the quality and they turned out well with proper lighting.

Samsung's Live focus adds an adjustable background blur into your photos for that

sweet Bokeh and the software does it pretty well.

Being that I don't have much experience with selfies

I have no complaints

Let's check out performance and user experience

Brave Exvius is the only game I play on mobile

these days.

It works great on this phone even with all the effects turned on although it's not

exactly the most taxing game around especially if you have a relatively new phone.

If you're determined to have the best performance on mobile for gaming, this should obviously

not be your first choice.

But for everything else, it should handle most games on the Play Store smoothly.

On the day to day, the A8 Plus – works.

If you're looking for something that looks good, and you're not really keen on spending

too much on a flagship, the A8 Plus Meets it – Halfway.

Hello. Today we'll be making a sweet canapé,

the cute sweet-and-sour blueberry cream cheese canapé from Pome Book 1, Vol.5: Playful Spirits and Retro Canapé.

Ingredients are a bag of crackers; ½ cup of cream cheese; a canned blueberry; 3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk; ½ cup of salted butter; 1 ½ teaspoon of lime juice; and small amount of sprinkle sugar for topping.

Alright, Let's start!!

First; mixing cream cheese, sweetened milk, and lime juice. Add ½ cup of cream cheese in a mixing bowl.

As well, add 1½ teaspoon of lime juice to make it a bit sour.

And sweeten it with 3 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk.

Then stir it up with a spoon or a hand whisk till becomes creamy like this.

Second: spreading the crackers with butter and cream cheese.

Set the unflavored crackers on a plate.

Then spread the salted butter on each cracker little by little to contrast the sweetness of cream cheese and blueberry

Now, it's time for our cream cheese from first step.

Drop giant-bite cream cheese on the butter-spread crackers.

Make sure it doesn't come out of the cracker edges,

because it might come off when we add blueberry jam.

Third: topping the blueberry jam and sprinkling the sprinkle sugar.

SO, what is going on with the new iPhone ten…

Wondering how big it is going to be?

There have been rumors going around that it is going to be GIANT….however, sorry to

burst your bubble…from this leak anyway, apparently it will be the same size as the

iPhone 8 plus.

That being said, the screen is going to be wider because of lower bezels – so…they'll

feel the same size in your pocket, but the iPhone ten plus will be all screen.

It screens business.

Good.

Great.

It is also reported that there will be no camera bump.

The ten plus is rumored to be unleashing horizontal face ID, at the moment the older model ten

only unlocks vertically.

The phone is rumored to be boasting more ram and a larger battery than its smaller sibling

and will run IOS 12.

The OLED display of the ten is set to be lighter and more shock resistant, too.

Official details of the new iPhone are expected to come in a press conference in September

of this year – in line with Apple's tradition of unveiling a new phone every September.

There are rumors circulating the price, too, with sources claiming it will start at 999

dollars – slightly cheaper than at first anticipated, but still pretty pricey for

a phone.

I have the iPhone 8 and I like it.

The camera is pretty great.

I don't know how I feel about a plus size phone, though….they're too chunky for

me!

I like a lil something I can fit in my back pocket!

An Phone plus is like….. a really big man sized hand palm… the usual iPhones fit my

little palms so well.

Okay, I am rambling… seriously though, other than being better for Netflixing, whats the

benefit here?
