to put a smile on my face.

Oh, the mechanical symphony!

Wow, Vogner's got nothin' on this.

The engine so far, just wonderful.

More powerful than ever.

Smooth and sonorous.

I'm going to be dreaming about that tonight, I tell you.

I've come into this test with high expectations.

I mean it's a Porsche GT3 for god sake.

Feels like it's got more power.

That firm brake pedal.

That quick accurate steering.

Wow!

How can I not love this car?

- [Jethro] Hey buddy!

- [Randy] I'm hearing some crazy stuff on the phone.

- Well we're right behind you.

How are you enjoying that Porsche?

- [Randy] I don't know, my mirrors

are full of green hell.

You all are going to have to warm those tires up,

to keep up with the GT3.

- These cars couldn't be much more different.

We got turbo, front engine, V8.

And then we've got a normally aspiratin' rear engine flat 6.

What are your impressions?

What do you think is going to be the

quicker car round here, why?

- I'm thinkin' it's going to be the AMG GTR

because it has so much power and

Willow Springs is a big, big circuit.

And I don't care how good you handle,

horse power rules, torque wins races!

- Well I'll tell you what.

That Porsche engine has got some torque

as well as some power.

I know it revs but it's a different

animal to the last GT3, right?

- The Porsche engine is fabulous.

It's better than ever, smooth beautiful music

coming out of that engine.

And, the revs are just insane.

How can anything rev that high?

- You know Randy, from where I'm sitting

I just don't understand how any car

can be quicker than this thing.

I got power oozing out of the foot wheels man,

it's filling up my socks.

It's just everywhere!

- It feels absolutely horrible from here.

(Jonny and Jethro laughing)

- [Jethro] It's impressive, but it's horrible.

- [Jonny] It's a beast.

I mean they really named it appropriately.

Like beast from the green house.

It's just.

(Jonny laughs)

- [Jethro] He is crazy.

(Jonny laughs)

What do you think the relative strengths

and weaknesses are of the GT3 and the AMG?

- Well it's a great question,

because the Porsche is all about the dats.

It's a handling car, it's about precision.

It's about consistency, it's about enjoying the ride.

As a race car driver, I like the handling.

It's got the grip, it's got the controllability.

Now that AMG GTR, it has the torque.

Torque wins races!

- [Jonny] I say we finish this lap and lets go

put those on the clock, and see which one's faster.

- That's the only way to find out.

- The line is, "there's only one way to find out" man.
