The 2018 NHL Gaming World Championship - Episode 2 - Duration: 3:59.

Today's the big day. We're heading into the studio with the players.

It's time to start the Canadian regional finals.

Let's watch as we find out which two players will be representing Canada at the world finals in Las Vegas

and which one will win $5000 as the Canadian champion.

And with our tournament underway, our first set of players have started to drop out of the action.

His goalie just made two really great stops on me so it just didn't go well and I lost five nothing.

I just didn't have my best day and that costed me.

The game I won, I played good D and then the two games I lost, I just had no idea.

I just was getting combed. I was lost out there.

Coming in I knew he was easily the best defender like in the game.

He just shut down my offence there; I had to create against him. I lost the game.

I won against Sitful and then this game against Regs I lost it. Hard game.

He's just a goal scorer. Should have played better. Took a lot of penalties.

As we narrow the field, Yung Gren, Regs and Fool battle it out.

He got the first goal. He came back to make it 2-1.

He got a couple of bounces and I just couldn't recover from it.

It has been a hard fought tournament and now it all comes down to the final two players,

Fool and Yung Gren.

Miller has the puck, he scores!

Here's Fool- Fool with the snipe on the breakaway!

We said he needed a comeback and he did it.

Dumoulin trying to find a lane- Looking for a pass; Hagelin scores!

A cross crease goal and we are finding Yung Gren down.

Here's a breakaway attempt- and a save by Matt Murray.

Looking for a pass to Kucherov, oh!

Oh redirected and he scores!

He has the puck, behind the goal line, he'll make a pass and just like that, we are tied.

And he scores! Takes the lead again.

Guentzel scores! Fool with an insurance marker.

Kessel scores!

I honestly didn't believe I could do it.

I knew the opponent that I was playing and also to my last round the opponent almost came back.

Kind of played in my mind but I tried to remain focused and I know the score was

3-3 and there as four minutes left, I still could- there was a possibility I could do it.

When I got the fourth goal I started gaining more confidence.

I got the fifth one, slightly in my head, I thought it was over.

Then when I got the sixth one that like I really realized that I actually did it.

I actually pulled off something that I didn't think I could do.

To all the mountains that I had to climb to get through to this point, I'm super proud of myself

and I thank my dad for giving me the possibility to practice and embrace my EA Sports life.

Everybody thinks it's just a computer game but it's real; it felt real.

You're so helpless. You want to help him because he's your son

and I couldn't do anything and he just brought it home and I'm proud.

At the end of the tournament, it's Fool and Yung Gren who have secured their seats to Las Vegas.

Stayed tuned as we learn more about our Canadian champs.

Top 5 Sonic Games - Duration: 10:06.

Where one italian plumber is successful, a blue hedgehog will follow as competition,

it's like a law of nature… well, in this VERY specific situation which never really

was replicated ever again it is!

While mario and sonic have put their difference aside and are now fine to appear on the same

box art sometimes it wasn't always this way and these 2 gaming giants pushed each

other to improve.

One particular side did a better job at that than the other…

I'll leave it up to you to figure out which side that is.

All I'm saying is that a certain blue hedgehog has had some difficult years, BUT still among

all that trash and roughness there are some highlight, which is what we're looking at

today!

A top 5 sonic games!

Sonic adventure It's a good way to start of a list for sonic

games, while also being a good way to piss off some people right away because it's

on the bottom instead of the top.

While it's sequel might have the fanbase split with half of it thinking it's the

best game ever to be made and the other half thinking it's not far off from sonic 06,

this game is not much different, though more people seem to think this game isn't that

good.

While I would agree with the fact that this game has flaws I don't think it is a bad

game.

Sadly the flaws of this game are in its structure and design, it's not just a couple of bug

fixes that would be easily done, no this game has a pretty wide range of characters all

with their own gameplay styles, some are fun, like sonic, even though it doesn't always

work all that well… he's fun to play!

Someone like tails are creative in design, he's not as fast as sonic but he can fly

which gives him shortcuts in levels so his whole thing is racing sonic, speed VS brains!

Knuckles can glide and dig, his whole thing is finding the shards of the broken master

emerald while trying to stay away from the plot..

No really he is totally irrelevant to the overarching story going on.

Gamma is just a bunch of shooting, a very easy and short campaign for sure but fun nonetheless!

Then there is amy… god damn amy, she is so slow she can barely walk up a slope and

her whole gameplay mechanic is the fact she has to run away from a robot, what even is

this?!

It's not fun, again not relevant to the plot and generally just annoys me!

Of course that leaves us with big the cat, by far the most hated character in this game..

Strangely I don't mind ti much, when you've played to game as many times as I have you

get used to the fishing controls, I won't say it becomes fun but at least it becomes

amangeble.

On your first playthrough though… this guy will be like living through hell!

The saving grace for this game though is that you don't have to play as all characters,

I mean you do if you wanna unlock the final chapter for the story which is just a final

bossfight as super sonic..

Which is decent I guess..

But if you just wanna play as sonic m there is no need to change to any different character

to finish the sonic campaign, the same goes for all other characters, if you for some

reason would just like to use this game as a fishing simulator and forget about the fact

that this is supposed to be a platforming game, go ahead, just spend hours upon hours

playing as big, you can do that… it doesn't mean you should though.

Sonic rush adventure Would you look at that!

A 2D sonic game?!

No this is not a mistake I honestly love this game.

While I'm usually not a huge fan of the 2d sonic games that's mostly because of

the gameplay style and this game changes that a lot.

You see, Sonic rush actually invented the boost system, and sonic rush adventure, it's

sequel of course still uses it, this was all quite a while before it was first used in

any 3D sonic games, which are the games we usually think about when discussing the boost

style games.

This game is fast but not unfair, you see the problem with fast platformers, and my

problem with the original 2D sonic games is that when you go so fast you'll just end

up running into enemies and obstacles.

Of course this still ends up happening in sonic rush adventure but by including this

boost meter you can instantly pick up speed again and while boosting you'll destroy

any enemy you touch!

The game also uses the dual; screen on de DS really well, having the level extend to

the top screen when you're on the bottom screen and the other way around, you can go

from one screen to the other, usually not by just walking but by things like jumping

on a spring to a platform that's on the top screen or by falling down you'll go

back to the bottom screen.

All of you HUD will also follow you, when you switch screens your lives, boost meter

and rings will also change, sometimes this can be kind of jarring but most of the time

it's actually surprisingly seamless.

ANd to be honest even when you do notice it charging, it's not really any sort of problem.

Sonic adventure 2 Is it fair to place both the adventure games

on 1 list?

Yes it is, now let's get into this game, this should be interesting

While I love this game it's not the holy grail of sonic like some people seem to think

it is.

I will admit anytime I play this game it's even more fun than the last but that's mostly

because I am getting more used to the bullshit design this game shoves into you face, the

sonic and shadow levels are decent, yeah I said it, not GOOD per say, but decent.

They work and they're fun to play but they still control a little stiff and awkward,

add on top of that the fact they don't even always work properly, though it's not as

bad as sonic adventure 1… it all makes for a pretty mediocre experience.

It really shows you something that the number 3 of a best sonic games list is just mediocre..

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that as a bad thing, if anything I'm neutral

on the sonic gameplay, it's not bad by any means, just not something to write home about

either.

That being said though, TAILS AND EGGMAN!!!

They can go die in a hole as far as i'm concerned, they're slow, clunky and generally just

no fun to play as.

And I know everyone beats these guys to death when talking about this game and I know everyone

complains about the fucking laser sound but it's actually horrible!

Anyway, that leaves us with knuckles and rouge which… aren't too bad, inmultiplayed it's

actually the most fun mode to play but explain to me, how do you take a gameplay style from

sonic adventure 1 and make it worse.

Someone took a look at sonic adventure 1 knuckles and figured "let's make these level a

lot bigger!"

Which, that's fair.

But then someone came along and said "hey why do you have 3 radars active at all times,

that's stupid!" and the rest is history!

I mean, if you wanted to change the radar system just give me control over which of

the 3 is active, that adds a whole new layer of dynamics into the gameplay which would

have been fun, the way you did it now, just the first radar until you find that shard

and then move on to radar number 2..

That's just stupid!

Sonic colors I'm not going to talk TOO much about how

amazing this game looks, despite it's low resolution of course…

I mean the game is CALLED sonic colors, of course it's bright and colorful!

But seriously this game looks great!

Anyway, this is the game where sonic got his shit together, after many, and I mean MANY

games which were… interesting… well no most of them were just bad… sonic colors

came along and was universally accepted to be the first good sonic game since the adventure

series, taking the gameplay from unleashed it's daytime levels and building on it.

The main gameplay innovation being the addition of the wisp powers, something sonic still

uses to this day and something I don't see them getting rid of anytime soon, especially

since sonic team is developing a habit based in the "if it ain't broke don't fix it"

mentality, which you would think would result in more good games like this one… the controls

on wii remote and nunchuck are a little… iffy to say the least but after about 20 or

so minutes I personally got used to it and didn't really have a lot of problems with

it ever again.

It is worth mentioning that there is also a DS version of this game which might sound

of putting to a lot of people since DS ports of games usually don't go over that well

but the DS version of this game is actually still really good, it's not just a port

with most content removed like you would think.

It's a whole new game with the same storyline, world and character design but where the wii version

is based on sonic unleashed, the DS version has more resemblance to the sonic rush games,

which is a really good thing of course!

Sonic generations It doesn't really get much better than this

does it?

The highlights picked out of 20 years of sonic games, improved and remastered.

They even figured out a way of pleasing both new fans and the old ones by making 2 versions

of every level, one for classic sonic and one for modern sonic.

I do personally enjoy the modern levels more but that's just because I have a personal

preference for 3D platforming games.

The levels in this game range from green hill zone, the very first sonic level ever to planet

wisp, a relatively recent installment in the franchise but still it was remade from the

ground, they could have probably just taken a level from sonic colors, polished it up

a little and called it a day but they didn't!

They put in a lot of time and effort to make sure every level is more amazing than the

last.

Even City escape, one of the most well known levels in the series has been reworked and

it works decently well as a 2D level but the 3D one is probably actually better than the

sonic adventure 2 one, the original!

Of course most levels are improvements on the original, like crisis city, this version

is actually playable!

I know, it's true madness!

The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the fact you have to do a couple extra challenge

missions after every set of worlds to unlock the bossfight which is of course required

to move on with the game, I mean, I get it!

Without them the game isn't that long and even as it is the game goes by rather quickly.

And I don't mind doing them THAT much either, anything this game throws at me I'm glad

to play, sonic just controls so damn well..

But still, these mission really break up the pace of the game, I'd rather the ga, eb

shorter and paced properly than this..

But hey, whatever you wanna do as an artist, there's always someone in a suite forcing

you into shit they don't know anything about.

Thanks for watching this countdown, if you enjoyed it don't forget to leave a like

sonic game is with a comment!

oh hey guys! We were just watching a Star Wars movie in anticipation of the

new Solo Star Wars movie that just came out. We wanted to share three new

Solo Cup games with you in case your family wanted to play some games. This

video is a collaboration with some other Mama's doing activities for kids so if

you want some summer activities for kids make sure to look at the playlist down

in the description box below. This first game is "never tell me the odds." Pour water

from one cup on top of your head into the person's cup behind you. This is a

good game you need to line everybody up and just practice having water and

hold it above your head and then pour it into the outstretched arms of the person

behind you. never tell me the odds!

Number two is "pod racing." So you're just going to simply blow through a

straw and race your cup across the table. Whoever gets their cup to end of

the table is the pod racing winner! Number three is Jedi versus Sith. Have one team

be Jedi and the other team Sith. Then simply call out "up" or "down" and

whoever has Jedi you place cups "up." and Sith place your cups "down." Whoever

gets all their cups up or down is the winner. While you're here I would love

Online and Split Screen Multiplayer, Characters, Game Modes Confirmed! - Team Sonic Racing - Duration: 7:16.

Hey everyone, welcome to my channel, it's me Gamerturk and today, after a bunch of leaks

from Walmart, the upcoming Sonic Racing game has officially been revealed as Team Sonic

Racing with a short Reveal Trailer.

I said I wasn't going to talk about the "leaks", so thank god, SEGA actually decided to share

all these stuff themselves.

We didn't have much to talk on since we only had a very short trailer that gives us no

real idea about the visuals or gameplay, aside from the cars being incredibly detailed and

about 3 screenshots, along with the cover art for various platforms.

But right when I was done recording this, SEGA shared a Press Release, detailing some

of the games' features as well.

But let's start from the beginning.

Yes, unlike what we were expecting, instead of Super Sonic Racing, we got the title Team

Sonic Racing.

The game will apparently be available on all current gen platforms, namely Playstation

4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and of course on PC via Steam.

The release window is stated as Winter, so we can easily assume the game will come out

before Christmas to take advantage of the holiday window there.

If I had to speculate a little bit more, the previous Sonic Racing game, Sonic and SEGA

All Stars Racing Transformed came out in late November 2012, so a similar release date is

highly likely.

If you enjoyed the All Stars Racing titles, which I certainly have, especially Transformed,

I still play it to this day, the developers behind Team Sonic Racing have been confirmed

as Sumo Digital, the same studio who were behind the All Stars Racing series, so this

is indeed great news, since I have come to trust Sumo Digital a lot, throughout my time

with the All Stars Racing Titles and I am very eager to see what they are going to bring

to the table!

To shortly talk about the 3 screenshots SEGA has provided, we can see that the game seems

to be focusing on cars specifically, rather than having bikes and other types of stylized

vehicles the previous games had.

Admittedly, yes, we do not see much, the only ones we can see are Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles

and Tails right there in the far back, but all of them using fairly straight forward

cars, suggests that we shouldn't expect a huge vehicle variety here.

But, a neat detail that you can see in this picture with Sonic, Knuckles and Tails, is

that right in front of Sonic, there is a glassy tile that we can see underneath, that suggests

we will have branching pathways as we have come to expect from the previous games.

On the picture with Sonic and Shadow, in the background, we see who I assume to be Knuckles,

based on the shape of his car and right next to him, we see a huge Eggpawn participating

in the race.

Also, in the far far back, we see a tank-like vehicle up in the air that I can't quite make

out based on this resolution.

My assumption is that it's either background geometry, like the balloons on the side of

the race, but maybe, it's a certain, purple, fan favourite character?

And of course, I do not mean Big the Cat, I mean Nights!

As for the visuals, they seem a little unfinished, which is only natural with so much time till

release, it's not looking bad by any means for a first reveal.

The lighting here does not seem to mash up all that well, the shadows are low quality

and that background with the Chao's seems like a 2D picture rather than a 3D object,

but we will have to wait and see what else SEGA will show us in the future!

And last but not least, I should point out that one of the 2 maps seems to be a Planet

Wisp themed map from Sonic Colors, while the other one sure looking like a less cartoony

version of Honeycomb Highway from Sonic Lost World, but again, what do we know, since Sonic

Team likes constantly shifting the aesthetics of the world.

Looking at the trees, this may as well be the very same map as the one I mention as

Planet Wisp.

Now, regarding the features that SEGA detailed in their press release, we will be getting

Online Multiplayer and local Co-Op modes, allowing up to 12 players per race and 4 players

split screen on a single device, which is absolutely great news.

Split screen has been a dying breed in the past 2 console generations, so I'm really

glad that they are offering Split Screen modes up to 4 players.

Also, other modes like Grand Prix, Exhibition and Time Trial will be available.

One thing missing from Racing Transformed here is the World Tour that gave you missions

to complete, but it seems like the Team Adventure Mode is the main replacement for that.

Team Racing is mentioned as a feature and of course it is...

That is probably why the title is Team Sonic Racing.

Not sure how this is going to work out exactly in a racing game though.

Performance and Skin Customization is an obvious point, though Im wondering, regarding the

Appearance, are we allowed to alter hwo the car looks geometrically, or is this just limited

to skins/colors etc?

It'd be cool if we got some true customization options.

Wisps seem to be coming back, yet again, despite nobody wanting them back and they take the

place of Items in your every kart racing game.

Im not sure why such a change was needed, but I can imagine Sonic Team wanted shove

Wisps in just for the sake of it..

We have an Adventure Mode here, not to be mistaken with the World Tour I mentioned above.

Adventure mode, from the way SEGA described it, seems to be more of a Tutorial Mode with

story for characters?

I hope it's a little bit more than that to be honest...

And we have 15 characters across the Sonic Universe, divided into 3 distinct types based

on Speed, Technique and Power.

But that's it everyone, hope you enjoyed this video, if you did, make sure to hit that like

button, subscribe and hit the bell icon for more content and news on Team Sonic Racing.

If you enjoy my content, you can check out my Patreon and support my channel directly

over there, but you never have to do that, sharing this video or following me on twitter

@Gamerturk95 and on facebook.com/Gamerturk is also very helpful!

I'll see you in the next one, take care!

2018 Gaming Diary | Professor Layton & The Pandora's Box / The Lost Future - Duration: 5:52.

Yo ! Another change of plans for this 2018 Gaming Diary series.

I know it's been kinda messy already, but hear me out.

As you've probably witnessed, there's a lot of games I've covered in there where

I simply couldn't say much aside from saying some basic stuff everyone already knows.

Also, I don't think everyone enjoys watching 10 minutes long video about random opinions

on random games.

So I'll be focusing on making some 3 to 5 minutes long standalone videos on specific

games ! I hope you'll enjoy this new format, as I think it's much more intuitive.

And today, I'll be talking about Professor Layton & the Pandora's Box, and Professor

Layton & The Lost Future.

Professor Layton & The Diabolical Box was really great.

I like how the game is presented at first : You expect to spend a lot of time on the

train, and the story seems pretty linear.

In that regards its way easier to navigate around rooms, since there are way less places

to lose yourself into.

I mean, in a layton game, i think it's more important to focus on dialogues and puzzles

more than navigation, unlike an ace attorney game where the point and click aspect is much

more than that.

But layton can be interesting without having to waltz around huge areas, i dont think its

necessary.

So i liked roaming around in those train wagons more than in the curious village in some parts,

in a way.

However that doesn't last too long since you end up fairly fast in a little village, and

the freedom you had in the first game grows back a little.

Then you go back on the train, and end up in one final big city.

That makes the pacing really enjoyable, having to switch between phases either more linear

or open than the previous one.

And Folsense is absolutely beautiful.

The atmosphere in this place is phenomenal.

First of all, the backgrounds are stunning and definitely something else than the curious

village, and the recurring characters help the game to feel more personal than the previous

one.

I also enjoyed the new riddles much more than in the first game.

They are actually well implemented into the story, instead of simply being "oh that

reminds me of a puzzle".

They're much more physical and make a better use of the touchscreen as well, and a lot

of them were quite fun.

Honestly some puzzles of the first game were so maths related that it really pissed me

off sometimes, but here, i can only remember three or four that pissed me off to the same

extent.

And taking into account that there are even more puzzle in this one than the previous

game, that's definitely a sign of improvement.

Even the little mini games were fun to go through.

The camera block puzzle ends up giving the player the opportunity to play spot the differences

games which are, well, to be honest, not that intriguing.

There's one where you have to use blocks to make it so that your hamster walks as much

as possible, and it gets trickier and trickier.

And if you finish every levels, the hamster will find hint coins for you.

And the last one is the most intriguing.

You can brew tea with ingredients you find throughout the game, and there are up to 26

possible recipes.

Some character will be stressed out in the city, and if you brew them the correct recipe,

you're gonna gain more information on the town or about the people themselves.

That's a really simple yet interesting process to get yourself involved in the story.

So, overall, The Diabolical Box is definitely a must play.

Now onto the third episode : The Unwound Future.

This one is the most dearly beloved of absolutely everyone, so my expectations were quite high.

And honestly, during the first half of the game, i've gotta admit I was almost a bit…

Disappointed.

But before that, I'd like to commend the developers for polishing the game to such

a deep ehd.

The notes are much more useful than before, most riddles are very different from the others,

you can have a bonus Hint during the puzzles much more easier than the first three…

And even artistically speaking, they really duked it out here.

Dubbed lines are even more present than before, CGs and cutscenes are all over the place…

And there are quite a few places to visit.

Even the game felt much longer than the previous two, and that brings me to one of the only

thing that bugged me in this game.

Out of the 13 chapters, I'd say the story starts to become interesting starting after

chapter 8.

Before that, it's mostly a buildup.

Sure, you go to many different places and learn more about the environment, but you

don't really learn much about the other characters in town.

And even atmospherically speaking, I'll get killed for this one, but…

I honestly prefered the first two games there.

The only place where I could actually feel some unique vibes was on Chinatown, which

is to me one of the best places the game had to offer, and truly something more different

than usual.

But by far, the biggest strength of this episode is the writing and story.

It's one of the only games where you see Layton actually being affected and emotional,

and it's all because of his yet untold past.

So throughout the later chapters of the game, you learn more about himself, his past girlfriend

and some stuff I obviously can't tell without spoiling.

And truly, the twists, as far fetched or predictable as they could be, were truly entertaining

and sometimes quite surprising.

When you think you've figured out the far end of the story, there's even more to it.

And the final scene really affected me, and was a perfect way to end the trilogy.

Some of you might ask me which one is my favorite out of the first three, and…

Honestly, I can't answer.

Maybe the Curious Village is my least favorite, but it's still excellent.

And I adored the atmosphere and world building of Pandora's Box, but I loved the writing

and the serious tone of the Unwound Future.

I think these games are great for their own reasons, and it'd be a shame to fight it

out on some lousy details just to find a true winner.
