HTC U12+
A new phone from HTC. We will discuss its specs and features.
We will also discuss what HTC are doing with their phones.

The latest device from HTC, and as usual, they add lots of technologies that some of it are not in other devices.
HTC are changing the phone industry in a big way.
Whether competitors confessed or not, but we first saw the squeeze feature on the HTC U11+
We say it next on the pixel!
We also saw the Boom sound for the first time on an HTC device.
Then other devices started to add Boom sound to their phones.
Let's go back to the phones we have now.
This a full review of the latest device from HTC with all the technologies in it!
The first thing you will notice is the three colors and the design.
It comes with Black, Red, and the light Blue, which is the main color of it!
Speaking about the design, it comes with a liquid design color.
It is an extension of the U11 and U11+
The screen is 6inches, but it has top and bottom bezels.
We will talk about the technologies in the top bezel!
It has two front facing cameras and two rear cameras.
What is the new thing they came up with in the design?
They came up with digital keys. It works as the haptic feedback buttons on some phones.
It will give you a feedback once you press it!
You can also tap on the frame of the device by tapping twice and the screen will shrink
And it works the same on the other side.
It is a new thing!
There are many gestures on this design.
Like the newly developed squeeze feature, tapping and digital buttons.
HTC innovated in the design. They are doing a great job in innovating.
HTC U12+ with a 6inches screen and 537ppi.
It has great resolution. It is FHD+
It has Gorilla Glass on the front and the back.
It has a glass back but it doesn't have wireless charging.
We will talk about it when we talk about the battery.
We also discuss a technology that doesn't exist on other phones.
The screen is 6inches quad HD+ with 537ppi

It is made of Glass and Aluminum.
We will also talk about why it is glass and there seems to be coils at the back but it doesn't have wireless charging.
There are technologies that will compensate not having wireless charging.
Let's go to the sound with the new version of Boom sound.
Sound will come from the front of the device!
It is more clear with lots of tuning, and it is 30% higher than the Boom sound on the U11!
They also added the Boom sound High-res edition.
If you have High resolution content, this HTC U12+ will make a difference for you.
If you want high-res content, the device can record in High-res and it also has sonic zoom.

Let's discuss the top and bottom bezels.
At the top bezels, there are a group of sensors to unlock the device using face recognition, and there is also two cameras.
Both of the cameras are 8MP with an F/2.0 aperture.
They offer Bokeh effect. Why two cameras? So that you can edit photos with Blur and adjust the photos.
This feature is the first to be implemented on a front facing camera.
It exists on the rear cameras, but it is the first time to happen on a front facing camera.
The bottom bezel has the speaker.
It has a USB typeC 3.1!
It is reversible and supports quick charging.
It also supports Qualcomm quick Charge 4!
The box contains Quick Charger 3, but if you can get 4, you will be able to charge quicker.
This quick charge 3 will charge up to 50% in 38 minutes.
Which is very quick!
The battery is 3500mAh
It is originally 3420, but you can say it is 3500mAh.
The processor is Snapdragon 845
The first phone in our region to come with a 845 processor.
The processor is equipped with lots of features added to HTC's features too.
The RAM is 6GB, and the internal storage is 128GB for this blue color.
All the phones that will come to the Arab market will be 6GB or RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
We will not get the 64GB version. You can choose any these 3 colors.
It supports SD card slot and UFS 2.1
If you have a card with this technology, read and write speeds will be better,
It supports two sim cards or a sim and an SD card.
It will only be available with 6GB and 128GB in out region.
The SD card supports up to 2TB if you could afford it. It is more expensive the phone itself.
You can unlock the device using your face now. You can hold the device 20 to 50cm away from your face.
It is supposed to open once you hold the device in front of your face
It supports Always-On display that also shows notification once you hold the device.
It is smart in management.
Let's discuss the squeeze feature. It has been developed to version 2.
It has Edge sense 2 now!
It is a gesture based feature that can work but double tapping. It has an edge launcher now.
It is small circle that has apps. You can open any app you want easily with one hand!
There is a menu of technologies HTC invented
I noticed that HTC is going in a different bath in the last few years.
They didn't focus on the screen like other competitors, they developed technologies that other phones will steal it from them.
They are innovating these technologies.
It has two rear cameras with other sensors like the laser and ultra focus sensors.
The cameras are 12MP and 16MP. They will help you with the Bokeh affect!
It will also help you with 2x optical zoom, or 10x digital zoom.
Both cameras support OIS and EIS. Photos should be great!
HTC developed some technologies in video shooting.
Full HD will give you 240fps.
4K will give you 60fps, but what they did is the sound capturing.
If you take a video, sound will be recorded with the three mics.
But if you want to zoom on someone talking for example, it will use Sonic zoom. It will focus on their sound.
It was used in one of their old devices yet, they are using it now by innovating technologies and add them to their devices.
The cameras on the rear are 12MP and 16MP.
You can shoot videos up to 240fps in FHD.
And it can shoot 4K in 60fps. HTC could upgrade their cameras.
It also supports Sonic zoom.
If there are lots of talking people, you can focus on someone and the phone will record their sound only!
It also has High-Res audio recording. It will have higher bits, thus clearer audio.
Let's not forget that both cameras have OIS and EIS.
The isolation in the camera is great!
UI is very simple. They are stripping down the camera UI. They wanted the UI to be the closest to the Stock Android app.
They haven't given their HTC sense a number yet. They haven't specified which version is HTC sense.
It runs 8.1 Android Oreo out of the box. They also said the whenever Android P will be available, it will be available on our devices.
Which is a good thing.
This device was rated higher than Hauwei P20 on Dexo mark!
The rating was 103. DXO mark focused on the pictures.
Photos taken on this device were very great!
OIS and EIS made not only photos look great, but also video look great too!
It has Google Assistant and Alexa. Yet, their availability depends on your region.
Arab World region doesn't officially support Alexa!
But you still have Google Assistant. You can enable it in one touch!
HTC U12+ comes in three colors, Black, Blue and Red!
This red color can also shift to pink in certain lights!
The box comes with a cover and a U Sonic headset equipped with Noise cancellation.
It is supported in the phone too.
It also comes with a quick charge 3 charger with a USB typeC cable.
The price of the phone is USD880
Approximately, 3300 SR.
It is known that HTC's flagships are premium. They are elegant, and everyone gives them credit for their quality.
The phone will be available in KSA. It will come with 2 year warranty.

it is the first one in the Arab World.
It comes with 6GB RAMs which will make the device very responsive.
HTC has always been great when it comes to audio.
I personally think that HTC U12+ is excellent for HTC fans.
They took the best in phones technologies, except a full screen without bezels. They also equipped it with technologies that don;'t exist on other phones.
HTC fans will like it!
It is for people who would like to invest in a device, and get used to its shortcuts and features, and use it as a daily drive to facilitate their lives.
I can open an app with one hand!
The biggest problem for HTC devices is to get used to its features like the squeeze and tapping features.
If you get used to Boom sound, you will miss it on other devices.
