Dum Aloo
Ingredients
7 medium sized boiled potato
chopped onion
Chopped Ginger
6-7 Garlic Cloves
chopped tomato's
Yogurt 3 table spoon
cinnamon stick small piece
2 green cardamom
1 black cardamom
few black pepercorns
few cloves
2 dry red chillies
1/2 tablespoon cumin seeds
Turmeric powder
Red chilly powder
Garam Masala
Corrianderpowder
cooking oil
salt
Heat the pan
Add 2-3 tablespoon oil
prick all potato's gently
So it marinates well
We have pricked all the potato's
Add half tablespoon turmeric powder
add Salt
Mix well
Heat cooking oil in pan
Add all the Potato's
We will fry till it turns golden brown
we will fry this on medium flame
Add all whole spices
Add Ginger and Garlic
Add chopped onions
Add tomato's
Fry till becomes little soft
keep this mixture in separate bowl
Make a paste once it's colled down
We have made a paste
Heat the pan
Add Cooking oil 2 table spoon
Add one dry red chilly
Add cumin seeds
Add the paste
Fry this paste till it separates oil
5 to 6 minutes it takes to fry the paste
add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 tea spoon red chilly powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Add Yogurt
mix well
Add little water
Mix well and fry till it separates oil
Add Salt to taste
Add Half glass of water
Keep the lid for 5 minutes
After 5 minutes
Add fried potato's in the gravy
Add Gram Masala
Now keep the lid close for 7 to 10 minutes on low flame
so that all spices get absorb in masala
After 10 minutes
Our Curry is almost ready
It smells so nice
Add chopped Green coriander
We will close the lid for a minute
and will also off the flame
It is giving a very nice colour
In total it has taken 25 minutes
