My Channel's Future | Life in the Pacific Northwest - Duration: 7:23.

I've been thinking a lot about my channel lately and the direction that I want to go

with it.

Good morning.

I am on my way to the Grants Pass farmers market this morning.

I'm actually by myself.

I tried to get Raya to come with me but she wouldn't get dressed so I was like, "Ok.

You're staying here."

Which is a good thing anyway because it's not like I'll have a buggy at the farmers

market and I do want to get some vegetable plants and some actual vegetables and maybe

some fruits.

I don't know, I just want to go see what all they have.

So lets go.

Check out the sky.

It's blue skies and snowy mountains.

I'm actually surprised by how nice it is outside.

I probably should've rode my bike, but I was lazy.

It doesn't look like there's a lot of people out today.

That's ok.

So that did not last long.

Maybe because it's still early in the season, but there were actually not that many people.

There weren't a lot of booths out.

And there were not a lot of plants for sale.

There were a lot of tomatoes and lettuce and stuff like that, but nothing that I was looking

for so I didn't get any plants.

But I did get two things.

I got some salsa.

Some homemade salsa.

It is medium.

A heavely fire salsa.

But it wasn't that cheap.

It was $7 for this jar.

And then I got vegan cheese dip and oh my gosh, it is amazing.

They had a bunch of different cheese dips out to taste like, chive, queso, I don't know.

This one was the American and it tastes straight up like cheese dip.

So good, I cannot wait to get home and let the family taste this.

But now I'm thinking we probably need to have mexican food for dinner because I just bought

salsa and cheese dip.

The cheese dip was $6, so I spent $13 and I got two things.

So it's actually not that cost efficient.

But I'm gonna go to the store now and get some chips and stuff for mexican food, so

yea.

So I bought a lot more stuff than I planned.

Let's see.

Does this have anything that'll kill me in it?

Who knows.

I personally don't like cheese, so..

The cheese that I bought, it tastes very different from the sample that I tried, but it's still

good.

I just wish I would've got the queso dip now.

Since the farmer's market did not have any plants for me to buy, I bought some seeds

from Winco when I went to the store to get chips and stuff.

So I'll show you what I got.

I got some sweet corn.

And all of these are disease resistant, which is pretty cool.

I got some green beans.

Heavy harvest.

Some no-bitter cucumbers and brussel sprouts.

So yum.

I'm gonna plant all these today, probably.

Raya's in here wiping her face with a bagel.

And she's rubbing it in her hair.

(laughing) Raya, what are you doing?

We're out in the garage right now.

Myself and Merrick and Raya.

We're planting seeds.

All the seeds that I bought.

It might be a little early in the season, but it stays pretty warm in the garage so

Josh has some lights for his plants, so we can put them under the lights until they sprout.

And I'm not sure where I'm gonna plant all these plants around the house because our

yard is small, so we might just have to plant them in random spots and random places, I

really don't know.

So I've been thinking a lot about my channel lately and the direction that I want to go

with it.

And I've decided that I want to focus more on the pacific northwest.

Which is kind of what my channel is already about, but I want it to be more obvious.

So I want to make more videos focusing on city tours, top things to do, hidden gems,

best hikes.

I can do business reviews, visit different attractions, explore some of the natural wonders.

So I sat down last night and I started compiling lists and video ideas and planning stuff out

and I am super excited about it.

I just really feel like this is the direction that my channel needs to go in.

It seems like most of my more consistent viewers seem to have found my channel because of my

Oregon videos and all the messages that I get on social media are always Oregon related.

I'll still be making family vlogs and I'll still show you the vegan foods that we eat,

but I want the pacific northwest to be my main revolving theme on my channel.

Specifically Oregon.

So my content won't really be changing, it'll just be going in a certain direction.

So if you have any future video suggestions for me, I'd love to hear them.

I have a lot of future videos planned already and some of them will be really easy to make,

but others will require a bit of time, planning, saving, traveling, and work.

I just thought I'd share my thoughts with you and let you know about my newfound channel

goals.

I bought this off of etsy.

It's made out of a cooler, so it's insulated.

It's really dirty right now, but.. (nervous giggle)

And then it's got the cat door, but

inside we put a cat bed that has a plug.

Drilled a hole out of the cooler so that the cat bed is plugged up and in the winter she

goes in it and it's insulated and when she lays on the cat bed it warms up automatically

when it feels her weight.

So when it's really cold outside she can go in her house and stay super cozy.

I'm not sure how visually appealing it is sitting on my porch, but it keeps our cat

warm so oh well.

What are you gonna do?

Here is the food that we have out for our dinner.

Let's show Josh's already compiled plate.

But poor Josh can't have tomatoes.

Why you gotta bring that up?

So he can't have the new salsa that we got.

I'm sorry.

It's all your fault.

We have to show off...

Oh no, don't show them that.

Tacos.

You might think when they start to turn dark dark brown that they're done, but they're

not.

You have to keep going until they turn into black crumbles.

They're not that bad!

Come on.

We've got some Boca crumbles and some refried beans and I made some cashew sour cream, which

I've never made before.

And it's ok, it just tastes a little vinegary.

The next time I probably won't put so much vinegar in it.

It feels like we're forgetting something.

Like there's something missing on this counter that should be sitting out and I'm not sure

what it is.

I found the missing ingredient.

It was an avocado.

I'm gonna go ahead and call the boys in for dinner and I'm gonna go ahead and eat too

because I'm hungry.

Well, today it's just me, no Jill, no Mikko.

The reason is I'm doing a review on a specific product that was sent.

I thought sure, seems like a cool product.

Why not give it a try.

That product is called the Woojer Strap.

This has a vibration sensation that relates to music when it's playing.

It utilizes a belt that you can strap on your stomach, your chest,

you can strap it diagonally... a lot of different ways.

I'm gonna show you some clips of using it. You'll see soon.

There's no sound, so I'm assuming it goes directly into the belt

so it will be the vibration sensation.

But you can use the audio and connect headphones if you want.

Also, you can try bluetooth in the future and listen that way.

I can feel it.

It's very strong.

Very strong.

Kind of on low right now.

Yeah, it's really nice.

I want to feel it more in the chest area.

It's a really nice addition to listening

but having that feeling sensation as well.

So... yeah it's really nice.

So, as you can see I really liked it.

It's a really cool product.

It's a good addition to listening to music.

I absolutely LOVE listening to music!

I have been since I was really young.

I've gone to many different concerts.

I collect a lot of different varieties of music, records, different things.

So I really love music.

So this is a nice addition.

It's really nice cause it's portable. It's really small.

Everything fits right in the case.

So you can use it traveling. Bring it with you.

It's easy to learn. Directions are really simple.

It took me maybe less than 10 minutes to get everything set up

and understand what to do with all the features and how it all connected.

So it's really easy to figure out. It's super simple.

So that's really nice.

I like that it has two different ports.

So one is for, like if you have an iPod for example.

You can connect your headphones if you want to do that.

It also has a bluetooth capability which is really nice.

The one thing I was a little disappointed in

is there's a cord to connect to an iPod or whatever you have

but it's not very long. It's pretty short.

That I thought, it was enough to stick in your pocket if you wanted to,

but let's say for example, I play a lot of records.

So I have a record player sitting over here,

and let's say I want to sit on the couch,

you don't have a long enough cord to plug it in.

So I think you'd have to buy an adapter or some sort of extender if you wanted to do that.

So that is I guess the one small con that I noticed.

But other than that, the vibration is definitely strong. I can feel that.

You can control the volume, plus the vibration level, or intensity.

They're actually two separate controls.

I thought that was really nice.

A feature that I really like.

Overall I would say

I definitely suggest whether you're Deaf or hearing, it doesn't matter.

If you enjoy music, period,

this is a really nice dimension to add to your musical experience.

Really nice. I highly recommend it.

I'm definitely gonna be using this in the future.

I really like it that much. It's a great product.

first step you need to take in order to achieve your life goals so if this is

so the first step you need to take to achieve your life goals now when I say

life goals I am talking about making a big change in your life something that

pushes your boundaries and pushes you outside of your comfort zone I'm not

talking about you know what are you gonna have for dinner tonight or what am

I gonna wear to the office tomorrow a big change so it could be you know

finally becoming an entrepreneur and opening your own business it could be

maybe buying your first house it could be learning to salsa like if you're not

coordinated that you're out of your comfort zone that's a big change for

somebody so the first step out of all the training that I've spent

hours doing the first step that I have learned in just about every single one

of them is that you need to make a decision you need to make the decision

that you can do it you need to make the decision that you will do it just like

when you were little and you learn to ride a bike or you learn to maybe

rollerblade or anything walk on a tightrope

I don't know all the stuff that kids do you're not perfect at it right away

you're uncomfortable maybe you feel embarrassed in front of your friends you

have to get over all that and you have to be determined to go for it so you

have to make that decision that determinating decision that you're you

can do it and that you will do it you have to make the decision that you're

gonna conquer the fear that you have for the things that might come up the

obstacles that you might come across that you feel might stop you you have to

make the decision to squash all the self-doubt that you have you have to

make the decision that your goal is bigger and better than the fears that

you have of reaching that goal the stuff that's going to come along the way of

getting to that goal you have to make the decision that you're gonna do

whatever it takes and you have to make the decision to shut down that inner

voice that tells you you're not good enough or you're not deserving or you

know I can't dance I'm not coordinated if you're opening a business it'll be

you know like nobody knows me who's gonna buy from me they don't know who I

am I'm like a nobody on the street it could be it could be anything like we

give ourselves such self-doubt and fear so often so that you you really do have

to make a decision to shut that mean inner voice up and by doing that the law

of attraction will come into play so it will attract to you the people and the

tools and the resources the exercises the training all the stuff that you need

will then be attracted to you and you will surround yourself with the people

and the community that will support you and help you

to get to your goal because you will be that determined to get there you've made

the decision I'm gonna do it nothing's gonna stop me and this is how I'm gonna

get there so that is like the number one most important thing you can do to reach

your goal whatever your goal is is to make a decision and stick to it
