Youtube daily game Mar 5 2018

hello and welcome to low budget gaming and welcome to another giveaway video on

my channel this will be the giveaway for March and I'll be giving away five games

six games technically but to five people and last time out I gave away one copy

of PUBG but this time I thought I'll add a few more games so that more people

can get it obviously the games are not very

expensive cause I don't have a lot of money but I'm hoping that in the future

we can improve the quality of the games once I start getting some money from the

channel etc so for now first let me tell you the games then I'll tell you how to

enter the giveaway and then I'll explain the rest so first up we have puzzle

agent this is an old telltale game this is a puzzle game as the name suggests

you play as Nelson Tethers who is a agent in the FBI puzzle research

department and he has to go to a town called Scoggins in Minnesota and solve

the mystery there the gameplay involves solving a lot of simple puzzles and most

of them are simple but there are one or two that are a bit tricky and there are two

games here some this is actually a giveaway for two games one and two the

story is also quite interesting and very funny the art style is interesting so I

played this while back at last year and I did a full let's play as well so you

can check out the game play if you like so one person will get a copy of puzzle

agent one and two second game on my list is Strider now there was an old Strider

game on Sega which I had a long long time ago and I really like that game so

recently I think about few years ago there was a remake of this or a remaster

and this was also included in one of the humble bundles last year so I'll be

giving away a copy of this newer one the hack & slash 2D game basically maybe

two and a half you haven't played it yet but action game and ninja stuff so cool

game looks nice and so I'll be giving away a copy of this one next we have

Shadow Warrior special edition another hack and slash game don't know if you

can call him ninja but action game basically and this is a special edition

steam key and this was also free last year

so not that expensive but it's still not that cheap a game if you buy it on Steam

so one copy of this one and then we have two strategy games first a cities in

motion 2 cities in motion one is currently free on gamesessions so if

you want you can check that out this is the second one and this is a strategy

game where you manage the transportation system for a city so strategy fans

basically will love this one and finally we have a grand strategy game this is

Sid Meier's Civilization IV the latest one is six this is IV from I believe

2006 another reason why I'm picking slightly older and cheaper games is they

should run for most people like people with older systems laptops these games

should have no problems running maybe shadow warrior might need a bit more

juice but others should be fine so those are the games on offer you have puzzle

agent 1 & 2 Strider Shadow Warrior special edition Cities in Motion 2 and

sid meier's civilization IV all of them steam keys one person will get a copy of

both puzzle agent games and then one each for all the other games so the

rules for entering are very simple all you need to do is in the comment section

type the game you want and enter your username steam username so the reason

why I'm asking for the steam username is because that's how I contact you and

give you the game and also people have different usernames on different

platforms what about any confusion so that we all know the right person before

I give them the game and yeah and you can also like the video if you want

because that would let me know if this is a good idea and if I should make more

of these but that's optional so yeah that's it and I'll wait two days or so

two three days and then I'll announce the winners I'll update it in the video

below in the comments or I'll make a separate quick video and announce the

winners there so yeah good luck to everyone and give me your thoughts as

well if this is a good idea if you want to see this obviously as the channel

grows and if I get some income coming from the channel then I'll improve the

quality of the games I'll add better games etc

so for now this is what I can do and yeah thank you for watching see you in

the next one

NVIDIA MX150 vs GTX 1050 - Best Gaming GPU - Duration: 7:15.

Hey guys its vijay from HPGames today we will discuss about another great laptop GPU 1050

mobile version and comparison with its new competitor MX150.

And before we began if you like the content hit that like button and remember to subscribe

for more awesome videos like this.

So the GTX 10 series mobile GPU The 1050 and the Ti version is launched back on October

2016. 1050 comes with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory it can support up to 4 GB of VRAM whereas

MX150 can only supports 2 GB of GDDR5 memory.

MX150 is a laptop version of 10 series GPU derived from the same desktop GPU GT 1030

by NVIDIA. You can check out the video about MX150 you

will get that on cards appearing on top right corner of your screen and I will provide the

link in the description too.

GTX 1050 packs 3.3 billion transistors in a tiny 135mm2 die and offers 640 CUDA cores

where MX150 comes with 384 CUDA cores nearly half of GTX 1050.

CUDA stands for Compute Unified Device Architecture. It's a technology developed by NVIDIA It leverage

the GPU in specific ways to perform tasks with greater performance. CUDA Cores are parallel

processors, just like your CPU. But CPU are dual or quad core devices. Whereas NVIDIA

GPUs host several hundred or thousands of cores to perform game graphics calculations.

One interesting part is MX150 comes with slightly higher clock speed then 1050. It runs on 1468

boosted up to 1532 clock speed whereas 1050 comes with clock speed of 1354 with Turbo,

up to 1493. Power consumption for 1050 GPU is 45 W where MX150 draws 30 W only. SO you

need a powerful SMPS to run this GPU with all hard wares.

1050 and MX150 both are 10 series GPU and developed using Pascal architecture with 14nm

chips. As we all know that Pascal was NVidias greatest achievements in the past decade.

The companys latest GPU system took gaming performance to the next level with the help

of this revolutionary architecture. So you will get amazing performance out of both.

1050 is packed with some of the amazing technologies like.

its having Direct X 12 and NVIDIA G-Sync support I have already explained you will get the

video on card section about now. Simultaneous Multi-Projection and Multi monitor

support. Its a technology by NVidia which enables you to play games on multiple monitors

without losing the texture quality of 3D objects.

But sadly it doesn't meet the minimum spec of both the Oculus rift and the HTC vive.

So you cannot play VR enabled games on it.

few more important stuff I will provide those in the description section for you to

study.

I got few benchmark results of 1050 and MX150 GPU for you.

so results are very clear that 1050 gives you a good performance boost over MX150 both

are 2 GB GDDR5 memory versions. 1050 performs more than 25% better than MX150 sometimes

over 50%. But at the same time if you consider battery life then 1050 is a killer one for

power consumption with 45 W .for low power consumption with 30W only the MX150 is a clear

winner which makes MX150 an ideal for notebooks especially thin and light ones.

but you can consider 1050 because it nicely Handles 1080p resolution gaming and very Efficient

and budget friendly GPU you can say It's a cheaper version of the GTX 950.

I got these results by researching multiple websites and YouTube So system wise results

may vary a bit. Requesting you all to comment me below what FPS you were getting on both

GPUs to help other users to get more accurate results.

so if you are considering to buy a gaming laptop then I will prefer you to go with 1050

equipped laptops no doubt you have to pay little more than budget laptops like 70 -80

thousand but it will defiantly perform very well on gaming and graphics related works

like media editing. its not like MX150 is anyways perform very less than 1050 but as

you all knows gaming market is growing like anything each new game comes with very high

demanding graphics so to perform well and to play games at least for next 2 years you

can consider 1050 GPU enabled laptops.

I have listed few of the laptops with 1050 GPU. I will provide the links in the description

section too.

so thats it for now guys hope you enjoyed and learn something new today hit that like

button and subscribe for more stuffs like this thanks for watching.

Game Summary - Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - Duration: 22:59.

Find her. save her.

What was that?

Welcome Back!

Ten years have passed since the world saving

journey of April Ryan if you haven't seen her in action go watch my game Summary

now. link is in the description. Today in the

year of 2219 we jump into the life of Zoë Castillo. At home in Casablanca she

receives some spooky messages through her TV with a creepy girl which continues

to follow us on screens. She wants us to find and save April Ryan. I don't believe

it that video is following me I sweat at God. Since so he doesn't know anything

about April let alone the world of Acadia she's unable to cope with that

little girl. Moreover like all students in their twenties Zoë doesn't know

what to do with her life. She dropped out of uni and broke up with the boy she

loves but is still best friends with him. So of course instead of listening to the

demands of creepy girl Zoë agrees to return a favor for ex-boyfriend Reza

Temiz. The journalist asked her to pick up a package. there's a company there

called JIVA, a biotech lab run by a woman named Chang. Helena Chang. All I

need you to do is pick up a package from her. She's expecting me but I don't have

time right now and I need that package as soon as possible.

Arriving at JIVA Zoë notices that something is wrong. Some invaders

tried to kill Helena Chang. The fact that Zoë caught the attackers

red-handed scared them away. After rescuing Miss Chang we received the package but

no explanation what was going on. Thank God the gas was starting to leak

through. Another few minutes... what just happened?

Who are those people? This is neither the place nor the time for explanations. We

need to leave now. As Zoë arrives at Reza's apartment the doors

are unlocked. Reza has not home but a dead body is lying on the floor. Are you

okay? She's cold. As if the situation was not

frightening enough creepy girl shows up again. Find April.

Those are EYE commandos. Without missing a beat a SWAT team arrests Zoë.

Apparently someone wants the information from Helena Chang to be kept secret.

Since Zoë told the truth and made clear that she doesn't know anything

about what was going on she is released. At home Zoë receives a message from

the Watilla Wonkers, a gorilla robot assistant. Zoë this is Reza I modified

Wonkers a bit to make him play a pre-recorded message in case something

happened to me I keep an updated copy of my notebook in my apartment at all times

it contains everything about the story I'm currently working on. To take the

notepad from the crime scene at Reza's apartment unnoticed Zoë contacts

Olivia de Marco She's an electronic merchant and a

hacker Olivia installs a hacking and stealth software on our smartphone

I'm sending you into EYE territory equipped with an illegally modified

mobile I'm either your best friend or your worst enemy at Reza's apartment Zoë

finds the notebook but is suddenly attacked by twins

Hey hey what are you doing here who are you

strangely the girls didn't take the precious notepad

unfortunately Olivia needs some time to decipher the notes the only thing she

can decrypt right away is it says Venice Newport the fringe Charlie that's it

why so he takes some kind of Hyperloop to go to Newport

we are very shortly allowed to play as our former hero again April Ryan in the

past ten years April learn to fight apparently she

decided to stay in acadia back to Zoe in stock she arrives a Newport the city has

changed to the worse compared to ten years ago formerly known for its

university and art scene Newport is now over populated by criminal gangs and

homeless people on the other hand the fringe is no longer a cafe and turned

into a VIP cocktail bar Charlie still works then became the manager of the bar

he explains that Reza only asked him many questions about his and April's old

living community the border house is now called victory hotel of course so he

wants to go into the matter and enter the building at all costs as no one

answers the door she decides to pray in the basement the

shady place is full of blood strains in a strange security observation room

creepy girl appears again

vanished after the girl pointed to a prat old wardrobe so he manages to sneak

upside where she jumps to conclusion the border house is not a hotel but a

laboratory people are hooked up on strange machines just like the dead body

in Reza's apartment in April's old wardrobe she finds an old picture of

April and her friends after showing the picture to Sharlee he called Emma both

explain what April told them about the two worlds before she vanished to Acadia

according to what April told us there are two worlds this one and the other

one Arcadia the world of magic they exist in parallel in balance with each

other I never had reason to doubt anything April said before but even I

was skeptical so after I got out of the hospital I started digging and the

things she told us she's not the only one Zoe there are others who've

travelled and seen Arcadia it's real look we don't know that all we know is

that some dangerous idiot put ideas into her here and I know charlie have some

faith okay so he tries to call Reza once more she is suddenly attacked by the

twins again they who come up on one of those machines from the lab aka victory

hotel aka border halls her mind is somehow teleported to the creepy girl's

place but the girl just sends her away she ends up at some strange catacombs to

escape that place so he has to show some to Ryder action moves after solving a

riddle a portal opens for us which leads to a basement turns out we are in the

journeymen in VN acadia now of course for sorry everything is new to her in

the city of mercurial all this stuff it's like something out of a fantasy

role-playing game Ben reamer the onething who also had April before

advises to find and contact min storm actor however that's not so easy since

she lives undercover you see after the Vanguard was defeated 10 years ago and

star they are Kaos Army in Acadia the tyranny

were crushed by the South and Assad since then they occupy Metiria enforce

their religion on the citizen they claim to know the will of the goddess who

disrespect magic thus all magical creatures witches and magicians they are

forced to live in a ghetto magic is illegal now like the Vanga this behavior

reminds me of the Nazi ideology seems like it's hard to finally get rid of

Nazis because of the occupation means to Magda has to cover her identity and

religion finally after finding Magda so he is

kidnapped by Britain a friend of April because he thinks she might be a spy how

do I know you won't lead me into a dark alley knock me out tie me up and dragged

me into a basement someone I promise I won't drag you into a basement but if

you're lying to me I'll scream I can scream fritzy loud

careful on Jesus greener so why are you asking questions about me where I'm hi

who are you I'm asking the questions here wait

you're April aren't you facing April is she apparently doesn't

need any saving and seems a little annoyed by so II however na aana

another friend of April helps us to go back to stock after so you recovered

consciousness and digested her awakening it the French in stock she receives a

call from Olivia she managed to decipher some of read those notes and found out

that he was working on a story about water co-op the company who produces

entertainment technology like the vasila and runs the so called via which is like

a very advanced version of a global network let's just call it awesome

Internet so so he heads to their headquarters in Japan in two days she

already travelled around half the globe in stock and visited acadia what a

journey at war Takashi sneaks in the offices by distracting some guards and

by avoiding security BOTS at the office she finds Damien Cavanaugh the contact

person of Reza he explains what is going on the dreamer it's a device that lets

you dream anything you've got a mind to join lucid dreams you're awake and in

control can you just imagine the possibilities every other entertainment

medium would simply disappear overnight why watch a movie when you can dream it

we discovered the truth behind project al-shura behind dream net behind the

dreamers what he isn't making these things to entertain people they're

making them to spy on and to control people dream net was designed to record

people's dreams dream core was designed to analyze them however what we

discovered was that dream net was beginning to slip out of our control

there was a contamination but it wasn't a bug it wasn't in turn we figured

someone had hacked into the network and introduced a virus or worm something

sneaky and adaptable it didn't take me long to realize there was a link between

the stat and our problems apparently creepy girl

is interfering with a dream core this interference called the study already

cost some deaths due to failing technology like traffic lights so he

decides to find out more about the static and makes it to the highly

servile underground lab she manages to sneak in disengage all security systems

and to inject Damien's virus into the dream hole before she can escape creepy

girl leads her to a strange garden where we find Alvin pedes a Java like creature

he is the founder of warthog and thought to be dead since he was born

over 200 years ago turns out he hooked himself up on machines to survive he

basically a smaller machine than a human anymore he lives inside the wire 40 cops

awesome Internet he wants to use the trimmer to watch people's minds and to

control them he even was inside rider's dreams and he hooked himself up to the

dream I saw him all of him and I fade on him you were in there in his head in his

dreams

make it or I they live sweating meaning I enjoyed that it made me ha ha ha stop

enough let's continue somehow so especially the job a pervert cannot

access her dreams at her mind therefore he wants to analyze her more

and tries to attack her again with those twins however so he manages to escape

after has came from water cop she she makes up with Damien

so you don't forget trust me I want your grades oh and I know you shut up

she decides to look herself up on the tree Megan to finally help April Ryan at

least that's what creepy girl wants her to do in Acadia we play April Ryan again

she tries to fight the Nazi like Asadi and of course she is the leader of the

rebellion ten years ago after April found out that she is not the next

Guardian she ended up in some kind of water life crisis she didn't know what

to do with Asadi and Acadia she had an enemy to fight and magical creatures to

protect which was her only purpose in life from this point on the Assadi built

a gigantic and mysterious tower as April tries to find out more about it by

following one of their Saudis henchmen she ends up in the catacombs

so is stranded in during her first visit directly underneath the tower April find

some kind of dream vortex where she can hear the dreams of uncountable people

this confuses has such that she wants to visit the Guardian Gordon hell away she

fears that something is wrong with the balance since she lost her ability to

shift she needs to visit the white trike in

first the dragon is hiding in the library of the dark people on our way we

find Roebuck legs he managed to escape the calculator in which we trapped him

in 10g how did you get out of that calculator i

trapped you in I had to learn advanced trigonometry after that it was as easy

as multiplying the root of pi with the volume of my mathematical prison oh it

sounds pretty complicated new took me five years but I gained some important

personal skills in the process I even had time to write a book so it was all

for the best in the library if I know old friend DRO

whom we haven't seen for eight bloody years

the white dragon who uses a female body to hide helps us to shift to God hell

away the ghanians realm has changed since our last visit Gordon can only

tell us that everything is okay with the balance and that April has no further

destiny concerning the balance seems like almost busy planting trees instead

of watching the balance returning to materia April finds out that so we

expect but imprisoned by the sari so April has to help a scape on her way

she stumbles across Qian Ivana an apostle of the sari whom he also had

to play for a short period of time during which she found out that he wants

a pure world of believers and is it not a place full of darkness and sin would

it not be better off under the guiding light of our faith and the mercy of the

goddess he is ordered to kill the leader of the rebellion fortunately he does not

yet know that his target is April Ryan after helping sari to escape April

doesn't want to help her any further to go back to stop instead April wants to

focus on being mad at the Assadi what do you mean you're not getting

involved you are involved April whether you like it or not I understand that you

are upset but this is not my fight I know that now

look Zoe I've told you everything I know I've helped you as much as I can

you're on your own now I have others to take care of have a nice life April Ryan

at least Crow is on saw his sight and decides to accompany her from now on

I'll be your sidekick it's easy I provide the banter and commentary and

you do the stuff we find one more companion frien Vestals the old friend

of Cortese kindly prime lenses an airship he was traveling around Acadia

in promises solely to navigate the ship wherever she needs to go they set course

to the white dragon since the trike kin might know how to help so II why they

are travelling we have a peak again at kia nirvana who busts the journeyman in

Henry Moffet rooms for April's friends from the rebellion which is a major

convict to save her life na aana becomes a traitor and spits out the location of

the rebellion I'll give you one last chance to save your neck which you will

help me find someone or you back to Sony and friends they arrived at

the library that protein seems to know that so he is supposed to help April she

assists a teleporter allocation so he didn't shift a teleport since she's in

Acadia only with her mind her body is still in stock unfortunately it is too

late Tina Varney is already at the hideout of

the rebellion but somehow he is turned April seems to have him influence such

that he realizes that everything Mia's re does is wrong and what's your god is

telling you that my path a path I have never even considered questioning until

this moment may be one that leads into shadows and not into light not these are

bad duh unfortunately in sa DNR me secretly followed Keon for not killing

April he is a traitor now on top of that everything seems to be lost at this

point kill her

so he was supposed to help April but she couldn't instead April head so it twice

the sending seems really said our hero April Ryan his stead the rebellion is

defeated and the Asadi Nazis one furthermore at the same time the last

strike King is also killed

but there's more the story is not over yet to repeal for even more sadness Bank

in stock so he tries to find the source of creepy girl

Damien found out that the signal originates from sankt-petersburg

so so he heads to Russia now in st. Petersburg she finds a secret lab of

jiva the company from Helena Chang creepy girl was apparently an experiment

the actual name is faith Shiva created faithful water co-op to test medications

which are needed to hook you up on the dreamer the video Journal of doctor

parked reveals that the experiments eventually killed faith somehow faith

managed to transfer her mind to the buyer technically she is dead but her

mind is still alive she's the reason for the interferences the static she is the

steady that is why she could control the televisions and send those creepy

messages through the buyer knowing the truth about faith so he heads back home

now after she travelled around the whole globe and Acadia at home in Casablanca

so he isn't granted any rest Helena Cheng broke in her home somehow

she convinces Zoe to hook up again on at Rhema to kill faith yes to kill faith

sorry like notorious are you out of your mind but this doesn't make any sense

a suspicious criminal CEO who killed an innocent child just walks in your home

and asks you to kill that little girl again why in the world would you agree

on that anyway so it did exactly said she visits faith and just asks her to

die faith you're not supposed to be here anymore

you're supposed to be to be gone I'm supposed to be dead

no you're not superb yeah yes faith you're supposed to be dead

good night sorry my big sister good night little sister goodbye faith I

warned you I told you the game would end with even more sadness just some

reminder April Ryan is dead all tryke in are dead the rebellion is defeated the

sorry Nazis won and creepy girl aka innocent child called faith is dead and

on top of that Helena Chang inject Zoe a lethal dose while she's on the tremor

I'm sorry about this Zoe but I can't let you wake up again

goodbye and visit the game ends with so his body artificially hot alive with

medical equipment and her mind trapped in some strange interdimensional world

which is called story time furthermore the death of faith stopped

the static and therefore water Corp is able to release the dreamer why are

rumors had it that drain tile will allow people to dream lucid dreams about

anything they want isn't that something right modern

technology oh you just gotta love it the only upside here is that Samantha

Gilmore the current official CEO of warthog found out about the brainwashing

goals of Jabba the Hutt Elvin peds and killed him

at least the trimmers not going to be used for controlling everyone's minds

so with that massive sadness we can only hope for a more satisfying sequel dream

for the longest journey was released in 2006 it took almost ten years and a

Kickstarter campaign for the final game dreamfall chapters to show up so tune in

for the next game summary which will hopefully and happier what do you think

Game of B.I.K.E. #4 // Niek vs. Justin - Duration: 10:16.

Welcome to Game of B.IK.E., part 4!

Thanks Robin for letting us ride your indoor!

Unfortunately he is in Spain, so he won't join us.

Great story..

And I'm the cameraman today.

Justin won 2 of the last 3 games.

I won once, so it's 2-1 for you.

But I'm gonna to my best to try to change that today!

Good luck!

Rock, paper, scissor.

Manual to jump..

then jump the next 2 doubles.

Both made it.

In our last games..

.. Niek was struggling with landing to manual.

Come on man!

So the first straight, jump and land to manual.

The rest of the straight.

Show me!

3rd straight, manual till here.

Triple the last one.

Justin took off his jacket.

I had to start easy.

He's warm, I should start to worry.

What are we gonna do?

Manual the whole first straight.

Switch legs every time.

2nd straight, nose wheely to jump.

And just jump the next 2.

3rd straight..

.. jump to double manual.

Jump to double manual.

Dude, I need to fix my brakes first.

Only excuses.

Okay, okay. It counts.

Not so smooth Niek.

B.I. for Nieky.

That's nice!

Did you ever jump the pro-line?

Once, when the first turn was still soft.

So I came up like a meter short.

I never rode here until today.

So let's jump the pro-line!

Did it count?

Justin, does it count?

Yeah, it counts.

There's a little soft spot here.

It's a bit of a tactical game.

No, no switching legs again!

Niek got a point for switching legs.

Another one with landing to manual

So what we're gonna do:

Jump, land to manual. And jump the last one.

You're allowed to do a pedal here.

Yeah we'll need that!

3rd straight.

Triple the first one.

That's never been done before.

I thought you'd be able to make a lot more speed out of the turn.

Impossible.

So what are you gonna do?

Manual the pro-line.

and go in-between these jumps.

Dude!

I have to say, for me it counts.

I have a lot of respect for you doing this.

But you didn't make it.

I'm not proud of it, I should've made that last bit too.

But hey!

Cause I just cased it, Niek gets 2 attempts.

Nice huh?

You're such a good brother.

B.I.K. for Niek!

I'm pretty far behind.

I need to find something Justin won't make.

2nd straight.

Manual to jump.

Pick up - manual.

Jump, no pedaling in-between.

It's not on video, but Niek's trying to make me do some easier stuff.

I'll do that once!

Triple the first one, and triple the double.

Triple the double?

I mean jump the double.

Did you see me duck in the air?

Not even close, but it feels like you're gonna hit the roof.

It's my turn again?

2nd straight.

Double manual.

Jump, jump, with opposite foot.

I can guarantee this is going to get sketchy.

But I'm just trying my best!

The battery of the camera is almost empty.

But I think we can finish it with this camera!

1 more time and Niek will be out, I think!

Oh he's doing so cool!

Jump, land to manual, the rest of the straight.

I think Niek will be out after this.

Ladies and gentlemen, is it gonna be B.I.K.E.?

Would be great!

I'm under so much pressure!

I don't want to put you under more pressure.

But you're out if you fail.

And the Winner:

It's 4-1 today.

Painful?

When you look at videos from a year ago.

I just did stuff with my opposite foot..

.. and Justin would get a point.

But he's been practicing.

So,

when I make a small mistake, I'm screwed.

But that keeps you focussed.

I'm gonna start practicing, and part #5, I'll beat you!

Everyone subscribe to Robin's channel!

And Justin and mine if you haven't already.

See you next time!

Thanks for watching!

LGR - The Oregon Trail Electronic Handheld Game! - Duration: 9:12.

Greetings and welcome to an LGR thing! And this thing right here is The Oregon

Trail, or rather a new iteration of it for 2018. And it's being sold at a suggested

price of $25 US dollars. This is a dedicated electronic handheld unit based

on the classic edutainment game that was made most famous on the Apple II in the

mid-1980s However as fondly remembered as that version is that is not exactly

what you're getting here. In fact what you get is a little bit more advanced

than I expected, more on that in a moment. But yeah for now just look at this thing, man!

I'm always fascinated by dedicated handhelds,

I loved getting those Tiger electronics things back in the day even though they

pretty much all sucked. But this is thankfully a lot better than that. But

somewhat annoyingly it is exclusive to Target stores in the USA, at least as I'm

recording this video. And no this is not sponsored, they didn't send it to me or

anything, I didn't get it for free. I just saw it on the shelf and bought it

because it looked cool. It turns out Target is no stranger to selling

exclusive Oregon Trail products, they also released this Oregon Trail card

game a year or two ago by Pressman. Similar packaging but it's just a card

game. I'm not huge into card games but I picked it up anyway because I like

Oregon Trail products. Anyway this electronic version is manufactured by

Basic Fun which is a division of The Bridge Direct. I've never owned anything

of theirs but I have seen some of them hanging around various shops. Especially

these miniature arcade machines, those were kind of impressive I thought. But yeah this is the

first one of their thingies that I have picked up and you know what? I'm just

ready to get inside of this thing because I mean just look! "Set out on the

trek from Independence, Missouri to Oregon's Willamette Valley!" Ah, many fond

memories of playing Oregon Trail games over the years, so let's jump into the

box and see what you get inside. Yeah there's little twisty things, just

twist off of there and now there you go. You got one of those little pull tabs to

get the included batteries doing their thing and to get the store demo mode

disabled. And say hello to The Oregon Trail unit itself! A rather compact

little thing about the size of a Game Boy Color, definitely a good bit thicker

than that though. And to me it actually looks a

a little bit like a Macintosh, like an earlier compact Mac. Anyway down here you

have some controls which are, well... they don't feel great let's put it that way.

Cheap, gummy, plasticky things with a rather bizarre d-pad here. You have these

diagonals and cardinal directions then these other keys for enter, the wagon

for the menu, got the sound on and off and a yes or no button for different

questions in game. And you also get a little black and white fold out

instruction manual which pretty much just tells you to play the game. But if

you've played practically any Oregon Trail iteration over the past

30-something years then you'll be right at home because this really is a classic

iteration that has been redone to fit in this handheld form. Press the power

button and it powers on and yep, you get a backlit two-and-a-half inch LCD screen.

It's quite sharp, very readable. This is what I was impressed with, I was

not expecting this to look this "nice," relatively speaking. Yeah, sorry about the

dust and like, scratches. A lot of that is underneath the plastic when I got it.

I tried to clean it up as much as I could but you know. Anyway here you go, this is

The Oregon Trail! And it is the classic game, really. I've covered this

before on LGR many years ago, but the gist of the gameplay is you're a person,

or a family really or group of people, that are trying to get from the east coast to

the west coast of the United States in the mid-1800s. And there are different

difficulty levels depending on who you choose to be from the start. So the

banker has the most money and the carpenter is kind of in the middle and

the farmer's like "nyeh." You can name your leader and four members of your party

which is always an opportunity to have some fun with the naming. And before

setting off on your trek you have to buy some equipment and supplies. And you'll

need to buy, at minimum, some oxen to pull you along. And then you have the option

to get as much food, clothing, ammunition, and spare parts as you want and/or need.

And there you go, you're ready to start! "Good luck! You have a long and difficult

journey ahead of you."

*chiptune Yankee Doodle plays*

So yeah you not only get a full-color screen but a pretty decent little sound

chip that plays chip tunes and PCM sounds! It doesn't have a headphone out

jack so I couldn't get a direct recording but yeah, it sounds pretty

darned acceptable for this tiny little thing. This is a conversion of sorts

of one of the classic versions of the game, and if I had to guess it seems to be

based on the 1989/1990 MS-DOS version of the game, at least judging by these

graphics. It's not identical obviously, they've modified it a bit to be on this

tiny little screen. But it's definitely not the Apple II version, I mean, compared

to that it just doesn't look anything like it. I'm assuming though that they just

made their own version for this specific type of hardware because it's not a

direct emulation of any version of the game that I've ever played or seen. It's

just kind of a mishmash of a few different things. Anyway at this point it

really is just The Oregon Trail: you're going around trying not to die,

attempting to ford rivers and failing spectacularly, and running into all kinds

of problems like heat and broken arms and of course cholera and the infamous

dysentery. And every so often you get a nice little screen with some nice little

music that plays and lets you know where you are on your trek across the United States.

*nice little chiptune plays*

And as gummy, and imprecise, kind of clunky feeling as that

directional pad is for up, down, left, and right, it's fine for the menus. I never

had any problem navigating and pressing enter. It's, again, a bit gummy but it's fine.

This is not like a quick reaction type of game, you're really just navigating

menus for the most part. And for that it is perfectly adequate. However one of the

key parts of The Oregon Trail is the hunting minigame and this is a bit of a

different story as far as controls go. You still have your cardinal directions

but you also have to use those diagonal keys that are around the directional

diamond. It made hunting way more difficult than it needed to be and the

animals move just as fast as they would on other versions of the game from what

I could tell, so they didn't seem to make any concessions for this slightly

awkward control scheme. I was just wasting ammo left and right. Yeah that is

a little disappointing, I don't know why they couldn't have put a little tiny

joystick on there or a more traditional directional pad. Oh well it's completely

playable though and I was able to get through the entire game without dying.

Well I mean, a whole lot of my people died, I think I might have been the only

one left by the end, but hey! I made it and that is all that matters. Look at all

the other people that have played who haven't actually played because I'm the

only one to have played this unit. Unfortunately I didn't run across any

""peperony and chease" on the trail so I guess this is not based on that

particular version that was distributed back in the day. But I didn't expect it

to because as I said I believe this is a custom version that is mixing together

different aspects of different Oregon Trail releases. I don't know about you

but I was kind of curious to get inside of this thing and see what was going on.

Check out these craptastic batteries that it came with it, I do not trust these

at all. They felt like they have the weight of toothpicks, they were just

cheap and pathetic. But hey at least it came with them. So getting the unit open

is thankfully very simple: you just have four Phillips head screws, one in each

corner, and there you go -- it pops right open. And there's not much going on

inside as you might expect for a handheld that costs $24.99. And as

expected this little PCB right here you got this epoxy resin crap that's

covering up the chips. So I don't know exactly what they are and I'm not gonna

try to peel that off there. But if you see the board right there, it's a little

bit of a different layout, but it has the same number as

others that I've seen in certain videos: E156176. The video

I'm specifically thinking of is this one by The 8-bit Guy that he did on the

company's other mini tabletop arcades. The board is very similar, in fact it has

that same number on there and everything, but the layout is a little bit different.

So yeah I guess they're just sort of repurposing these electronics for

whatever they need to over in China, which is pretty darned interesting to me.

I don't know the specifics of it, maybe somebody else can figure out if it is

like a Famicom clone NES on a chip type of thing, I don't know man.

So what you end up with is a standalone version of The Oregon Trail that plays a

lot like what you remember, but is a new thing in a new form factor. And it's just

dedicated Oregon Trail on the go! I like this idea, I don't know about you, and I

have a feeling these are gonna start becoming collectibles. Maybe they already

are, so if you can I recommend picking one of them up if you're interested in a

little handheld Oregon Trail. And I'm also really curious if anybody's gonna

be able to like, hack these things to do something else. I'd be down for a

portable Super Solvers Spellbound, just throwing that out there. Carmen Sandiego

something like that? Yeah man bring on the portable edutainment machines! Anyway,

that is it for this episode of LGR and I hope that you enjoyed checking out this

little thingy. And if you did, well, stick around. I do more videos every Monday and

Friday and occasionally I'll cover something like this that strikes my

fancy even though it's a little bit different than what I normally do. But

that's okay, I hope. And as always thank you very much for watching!

5 Angry Programmers (Game Developers) Who Hated Their Own Games | Fact Hunt - Duration: 15:39.

A lot of people think it's just all fun and games being a games programmer.

You can create anything you want, put in your own personality, add you own little features

and play it to your heart's content.

Unfortunately, in the real world, the majority of coders have to work on a project just to pay the bills.

Putting the nose to the grindstone on titles that they grow to hate, even utterly despise

in some of today's cases…

So, this episode we take a look at these scornful software engineers, these pixel repulsers,

and these grievant game makers, all of whom hated on their work harder than Peter Molyneux

on a Fable Prequel.

But, Hello you!

I'm Guru Larry and I welcome you to Fact Hunt: five angry programmers who hated, their own games!

When Atari launched the 64-bit Jaguar console in 1993 (and yes it definitely is 64-bit,

let's save that story for another day!)

Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy, was supposed to be the showcase game for the much-maligned system.

In the early previews and static screenshots the gamed looked nothing short of stunning.

This is because Crescent Galaxy used rendered sprites and objects to give the graphics an

incredible sense of depth, so they just leapt out of the screen at you.

This was obviously nothing new, as we had first seen this technique in Donkey Kong Country

on the Super Nintendo.

But unlike Nintendo's game, Atari's offering was displayed in millions of colours and in

a much higher resolution.

However, all was not as it seems with the horizontally scrolling shooter, as artist

B.J. West goes on to explain:

"Did I hate Crescent Galaxy?

Well you could say that!

Don't get me wrong I loved working on it!

It was the first time I was getting paid to do 3D modelling and animation.

In fact, it was the first proper game I ever worked on, so I was happy for the gig and

I had no idea what Atari's chronic problems were yet.

It wasn't until we were asked to start testing it that we realised just how lacking it was.

It was really hobbled by Atari's bosses being cheap when it came to making the carts.

The core problem was that the company was run by hardware engineers that weren't really

very savvy about game design.

It was pretty to look at, but the gameplay is absolute rubbish.

My biggest complaint of all is that there's no gameplay ramp, so the first level is just

as hard as the last.

And there is no music too, all because they wanted to save money on the cart size.

Crescent Galaxy wasn't the only victim of this either, there are plenty of other examples

in the Jaguar library."

While Crescent Galaxy was widely panned by the press and became the first nail in the

Jaguar's very large coffin, B.J. himself went onto much bigger things, as he ended

up working on hugely successful titles such as The Sims series, Sim City 3000 and The Urbz.

Well, if you count working for EA a career upgrade that is!

Bet you're surprised to see this guy feature again so soon!

Richard "Mad as a Hatter" Aplin is no stranger to Fact Hunt, in fact, he's become

almost as synonymous with the series as the marble headed misanthrope whose name we dare

only say once per episode.

But Richard's crazy stories have become a firm favourite with our watchers, so we

just had to find another one for this series.

But, when he's not accusing the Mayor of Metro City of sheep molestation or entering

mile long diatribes into his video game code, Ricky's complaining about them instead!

For instance, did you know that despite being tasked with the job of programming it for

U.S. Gold, he absolutely hated Final Fight?

As in, the entire premise of it, not just his work.

And I bet you thought everyone loved the ground breaking beat em' up didn't you?

Well, Mr. Aplin explained his disdain towards the side scrolling brawler during an interview

for Retro Gamer magazine back in 2016:

"Was I fan of the original arcade game?

Well… not especially.

I actually played it again recently on MAME and still didn't think it was anything special.

I know a lot of people loved it but I just don't see anything that stands out.

To me it's just walk, kick, punch, walk, repeat - give me Street Fighter II any day.

If that's sacrilege to some people, then sorry, but my lasting memory of Final Fight

is nothing but pure hatred!

Of everything I ever worked on in my entire career, nothing is as vilified as my Final

Fight conversions.

It amazes me sometimes, I'll stop by the YouTube playthrough vids of it, just to marvel

at how worked up people get - you'd think I'd run over their puppy or something.

I see a lot of "a child could do better" type comments.

But in all honesty I don't really care.

If anyone nowadays, with all the extra technology we have like MAME, wants to go and do a better

conversion onto the Amiga then I sincerely await the results with interest!

I won't defend Final Fight as a fantastic game to anyone, but I still think I did a

pretty decent job anyway, in technical terms at least."

We don't really need to tell you anything else about Richard.

I mean this is already his third time in a Fact Hunt episode, But Richard worked on many

great home conversions such as Bosconian, The Godfather, Double Dragon II and Shinobi.

But, he hated Final Fight back then, still hates it now, and even after leaving the games

industry entirely, he still remains more mental than a Molyneux memoir.

Oh no, I mentioned him twice!

In the late eighties and early nineties arcade licenses were big business, and prolific Manchurian

publishers, Ocean Software primarily led the way when it came to converting these games

to home computers.

Ocean's big game of 1990 was the Williams' coin-op NARC, a run and gun affair where you

played a member of the specialised police narcotics unit in a fetching red or blue balaclava,

trying to take down the evil drugs lord, Mr. Big.

The game was most notable for using digitised graphics, a technique that Midway pioneered

with NARC and perfected a few years later with seminal "get over here" simulator

Mortal Kombat, NARC as like Mortal Kombat, also got attention for its extreme levels

of violence and controversial themes.

Many will remember the delights of the level four boss: Kinky Pinky, Mr. Big's very own

clown faced purveyor of pornography.

It was an okay game, but reeked of being a blatant quarter muncher with it's unfair

levels of difficulty.

Now, the home computer versions were ported courtesy of well-known coding house: The Sales Curve,

who soon despatched lead artist and designer Shaun McClure to do the honours.

However, Shaun was ever so slightly less than impressed by the work of his not so accurate

colleagues:

"Oh my god I hate NARC!

We got the arcade art from Midway but we couldn't figure out how to get it from the arcade boards

into a form we could use.

So I basically had to copy what I saw onto a bitmap,

which is why NARC looks as sh!t as it does, on 16-bit especially.

We already had a very limited number of frames of animation because of this.

And then, for some bizarre reason, the coder dropped the hit frame for the crouch position

and made it standard to use the stand up frame instead.

The obvious down side to this was when you were attacked by one of the many dogs in the

game this made the character stand up again and completely unable to shoot the f**king

things once he had stopped being bitten.

This ruined the entire game for me.

I must have told them so many times about this and they (The Sales Curve) just ignored me...

I was f**king livid, still am!"

NARC was far from the first game that Shaun worked on and far from the last, his storied

career saw him work on work on smorgasbord of hit titles including Raiden, The Humans,

Double Dragon 3 (yeah, I know that sucked), Tempest 2000, Rod-Land and er…

Postman Pat!

But, NARC really lived up to its theme, as to this very day Shaun still has to be off

his face on crack to play the bloody thing!

Hehehehe

Good ol' Doom, you might have heard of it, tiny little FPS that did the rounds in the

early '90s?

Well it's Id Software's creation that is regarded by many as being the greatest

first person shooter of all-time.

Starting off as a wallet friendly freeware game, it's not only recognised as being

the game that finally made people take the PC seriously as a legitimate gaming system,

but also spawned multiple sequels and ultimately into a multi-million dollar franchise for now

owners of the brand, Bethesda Softworks.

It also spawned a movie starring The Rock and everyone's least favourite cockney, Dexter Fletcher...

...But, we'll quietly back away from that one!

Anyhow, you're probably wondering how anyone could possibly hate Doom, right?

Well it's more than possible if the original programmer interferes with your work so much,

he forces you to intentionally gimp it, as the coder of the Sega Saturn version, and

the Rasputin of retro himself, Jim Bagley, explains:

"I wanted to use the Saturn's hardware to its max potential and so I wrote a render

engine to display the PC levels drawing the walls with the GPU, the problem I came across,

was apparently John Carmack wasn't happy about this, he wanted it to look exactly the same

as the PC version, but it looked a lot nicer, and was running full screen at 60fps!

He said it had to be drawn using the CPU, and not the GPU, he even suggested I used

the two DSPs on the Saturn to render the screen, but this would have been a huge memory bandwidth

bottleneck, so I ignored that, and did it using the two SH2s to render the screen with

each of the two CPUs splitting the draw time, doing a line each of the walls or floors.

I was quite happy with the end result, as the SH2s ran at 33Mhz and 28Mhz respectively

and I remember playing doom on a 33Mhz PC and it having to play in a stamp sized display

to play at a reasonable rate, where as my Saturn was pretty much full screen.

But John just wouldn't have it insisted I didn't use the custom chips at all.

This isn't dissing John Carmack, he's a very talented coder and clever bloke all round,

but I was very proud of what speed I got out of two relatively slow cpus and then has to

throw that all away and what was released was a slow jerky mess that I still cringe

about to this day."

Despite being forced to make a shitty port of Doom, Jim's work has always been very

highly regarded by gamers, especially his ZX Spectrum conversions of the hit coin-ops

Midnight Resistance and Cabal.

Most recently he's been heavily involved in the ZX Spectrum Next project (you know,

the NOT scammy one) and continues to be a popular figure in the retro gaming community.

So thankfully it didn't Doom his career hehehehehe

Well, We've now had four stories about people who hated their games, but what about somebody

who just plain hated games, altogether?

Now, this must sound completely ridiculous; I mean how can you have a games programmer

who doesn't even like playing the bloomin' things?

Well, believe it or not we found one such man…

Former Atari Games programmer, and true successor to the lordship of Winterfell, Gary Stark.

He might have played a key part of the company for the best part of a decade, but surprisingly,

he never actually played any of the many games he's created.

Case in point, here is Gary telling us this in his own words, during an interview about Pit-Fighter

for Retro Gamer magazine, way back in 2014:

"I have to be honest I was more of a programmer, not a games player, that is why Mark Stephen Pierce

came in on the project.

He was an experienced gamer and he played the hell out of the game to make sure we got it right.

In fact, it may come as a surprise to you but I didn't actually play any games at all!

Do I think the game is harshly judged these days?

I don't know, I just judge it by the box office.

The only way you can truly judge a game is by how much money it makes and Pit-Fighter

was extremely successful for both myself and Atari.

I never played the game then and don't play it now, so I am not really the person to ask

about how the game plays or how it compares to other games of the time.

We had some really great hardware guys at Atari, some really great musicians, really

great artists and very experienced testers.

So I just did the code and left everything else to them, it might seem strange, but it's

just how I worked.

I guess this why I left the industry when Atari shut down, I just never had any real

love for any of my creations."

So there you have it, despite contributing to legendary titles for Atari such as

Hard Drivin', Toobin', T-Mek and, erm, Sesame Street, Gary's never

played, well, any of them and left perhaps one of the most bizarre legacies in gaming

behind him!

Though, In hindsight, that might explain why Pit-Fighter is a bit sh!t.

CS:GO - FREE AIMBOT using Noclip with this INSANE BUG?! - Duration: 2:51.

So there's a very, very interesting thing you can do which basically gives you free hacks.

Fortunately you can only do it with noclip, but still, it's too insane not to make a video on.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.

It started with someone sending me this video showing how it's done, and to be honest, when

I first saw it, I was very skeptical.

It looked fake, but I tried it, and, to my surprise, it works.

I'll link the original video down below, it's made by Duo.

So basically, turn on noclip, go inside the map like this, aim near the left side of these

crates, and shoot.

If you do it right, you will get instant headshots, even your teammates will get killed if team

damage is on.

I decided to download the oldest version of Mirage in the workshop to see if it had something

to do with the map.

It still worked.

This made me wonder, can you do it on other maps?

Yes.

So I noticed that the easiest way of triggering it for me anyway, was to shoot somewhere on

the map which isn't playable but close enough.

Certain spots work better than others.

What's really interesting and why I think it's a bug is because, if you turn on sv_showimpacts

which shows the impacts from your bullets it will stop working.

If you turn it off, boom, instant aimbot.

And it doesn't just work on bots, you can kill anyone on the server, instant headshots

and it decides for itself who to kill.

I can't tell you how it works, or why this works, but still, I'm kind of mind-blown by

the fact that you're able to trigger something like this yourself.

If you would like to try it out but all you see is black when you go into the walls with

noclip, you can load up Mirage and copy the commands down below (with sv_cheats 1) to

get the exact coordinates of the position that I used for that map, just shoot and see

what happens.

So if anyone here has more information on why you suddenly get free aimbot when you

shoot in different locations outside the map please comment down below, it would be fun

to know more.

Maybe Valve are working on a way to remove aimbot kappa.

Of course you can't exploit this without noclip, but it's still very interesting overall and

it makes for a fun video.

That's it anyways, hope you enjoyed it, I'll see you guys in the next one, and go bananas!
