- Where's my van? - Typical.

Car stealing has become more and more common

especially in areas where people are poor and need money for

drugs or to feed their children.

But if her van was outfitted

with a Police Tek 2000 car alert system

like my car is

the scene would look like this.

Man, I sure could use this car to sell it for drug money

and some food for my baby.

Here goes.

[alarm wailing]

[speaking in foreign language]

Wow! You're right. I should get a job.

Stealing is for jerks.

Thank God!

Another car stealer off the streets.

Thanks to Police Tek.

Retired Cop Sees Beet-Red Baby Crying And Shaking In Car. That's When He Jumps Into Action - Duration: 3:20.

Retired Cop Sees Beet-Red Baby Crying And Shaking In Car.

That's When He Jumps Into Action

For as many times as we see stories in the news of parents leaving their children in

dangerously hot cars, you would think people would learn.

Unfortunately there are still people who are either too thoughtless or cruel or unaware

that they keep doing things that put children in danger.

Thankfully, there are other people in this world who will take matters into their own

hands and become heroes for these kids.

One of these people is retired Middlesex County Sherrif's Department Sergeant Steve Eckel.

Steve was walking through the parking lot of a Kohl's department store in Howell Township,

New Jersey, when he saw something that made him sick.

A four-month-old baby had been left in a car with the windows up and the doors locked.

It was in the 80s outside, but the temperature inside the car had already reached 120 degrees.

The poor baby was in extreme distress and just barely hanging on.

"She was sweating, crying, eyes rolling back," Steve recalled.

Not only is Steve a retired police officer, he is also a father to six kids, and both

his cop and fatherly instincts kicked into high gear.

Steve had just cleaned out his car after finishing a project at home, but – miraculously – had

happened to leave a sledgehammer in the trunk.

Remembering that, he raced back to his vehicle as he called 911.

"I'm in front of Kohl's…I've got an infant in a locked car…The baby's crying

in the car," he can be heard saying in the 911 call.

Steve grabbed the sledgehammer, raced back to the car where the baby was trapped, and

carefully broke into the vehicle.

"I ran around to the other side, caught the edge here, and it just shattered," he

recalled.

That's when he grabbed the baby, who was beet-red and sweating profusely, but alive.

"I almost started to cry," he said.

"I got really emotional at that point."

Steve took the baby inside Kohl's so she could cool off in the air-conditioning, which

first responders say helped her recover.

They didn't know who the baby's mother was until a woman walked out to the car, saw

the smashed window and empty car seat, and began to panic.

"Oh my God, where's my baby?" she started crying.

"You're the mother?" one of the responding officers asked.

"Have a seat."

Police arrested 33-year-old Karen Gruen, who had left the baby alone in the car for 40

minutes while she shopped, and charged her with endangering the welfare of a child.

The baby was placed in the care of her father.

"She should plead guilty and get probation and realize you just can't do this," Steve

said.

He added that's he's seen a lot of tragedy in his career, and he's just glad this story

had a happy ending.

He knows he was placed in that parking lot at that time for a reason.

"I do believe in guardian angels," he said, "and I think I'm the one for this

child."

Were you amazed by Steve's heroic actions that saved this baby's life?

So share this!

Weekend Vlog #1 | Redecorating, car wash & The Black Panther - Duration: 17:39.

Good morning!

Today it's Friday

As always, I'm in the car while Anders is taking Theo to daycare

I'm going to try to make sort of a weekend vlog this time

Hopefully that'll work out a little bit better

I'm not too good at vlog

I'm like filming a little bit here and there and then I forget about it and then I can't make a vlog out of it in

I am going to try to get better at it though

This time I'm trying out a weekend vlog

Friday, Saturday, Sunday And hopefully it'll work out

Today I got so much to do

First of all I'm going to redecorate Theo's room

Then I'm going to finish his dresser

I've finally made the knobs and flowers that's supposed to be on the dresser

And then I'm going to clean a little bit

Then I really need to edit a nail art video that I want to upload today

What else is there?

I thought I had a million things to do today but I didn't

Well, we'll see what the day has to offer

Firstly I'm going to go home and eat some breakfast And then I'll get to everything else

So this is what Theo's room looks like right now

Yeah, the shelves are where they were before

Here we put his yellow bookcase

There is his dresser

I've attached the new knobs It turned out really cute

The flowers are a little bit smaller than I wanted But I think it's cute

So that's that

His tent is where it was before

We moved his bed here

We had to quickly move his furniture the other night

Because he's figured out how to..

Well, his bed was next to the door before

So he started to open the door

We solved it by locking his door to prevent him from opening it

But then he figured out how to reach the light switch So he started to turn the light on and off

It was driving us crazy

So we simply had to turn his bed around

And then it was placed next to the yellow bookcase

Everything was fine for a couple of nights

But then he realized that he could reach and throw everything down from the bookcase

So we had to move it And now everything is a big mess

So today I'm going to redecorate so that it looks nice in here again

Now I've finished redecorate his room for now

This is how it looks now I put the dresser over there

And there's the yellow bookcase

This is where his bed is now

It's so much better because soon he's going to get a real bed

And that's going to take up a whole wall

And there's enough room for a real bed by that wall

This is what it looks like

Now I'm all done with that

It took a while and now it's about 11:30

So I'm going to make some lunch

And then edit some videos

What are we going to do now Theo? Clean the car!

Yeah, we're gonna clean the car

Are you excited? Yeah!

Here comes the water Theo!

It's ok Yeah, it just makes some noise, that's all

Nothing to be afraid of

Flowers!

Flowers!

A lot of flowers there

Theo, what day is it today?

Uhm.. washing the car?

No we washed the car yesterday

Yeah

So yesterday was Friday Yeah

And today it's...

Saturday! Saturday!

Saturday!

Then it's Sunday

What are we going to do today?

Sunday! It's Saturday today, what are we gonna do today?

No

Saturday!

Yes it's Saturday, what are we gonna do today?

It's not Sunday No

It's Saturday? Mhm

Not gonna wash the car

Are you going to grandma and grandpa?

Yes!

57,000,000 Uniti Cars | UNITI UPDATE 20 - Duration: 7:19.

The time is 6.22, -10 degrees

We're just on our way to go to Trollhättan

Welcome to Uniti Update Episode 20. My name is Albin, this is Isak.

It's been snowing in Sweden as you can see and we're on a mountaintop.

How about that?

So, we are back from india and as you saw in the previous episode, it's really clear that India is a really great market for

EVs and that's a great growth opportunity for us

But now that we're back home

We want to continue focusing on our main tasks. So if you remember from episode 18, here's Antonio and Tom.

Well they've been using their experience from the car industry to build a long-term

expansion plan for Uniti

So, right now

We feel like giving you as a viewer an insight in what's actually going on on the operational side

So let's see what they have to say

We've been working over the last months to define our business plan to better refine our operational model

The plan is to go to market with our iconic two-seater to establish meaningful differentiation in the marketplace

That's why we want to concentrate our efforts and our activities taking advantage of the expertise of partners

We just wanna pause there with a greeting from some of our team members in Paris

and they're with one of these partners that Tony is talking about, Zoltek.

And Zoltek actually makes the carbon fibre in our base plate and in our chassis

and it's a really important part. And we had a joint booth and

It went really well, so thanks for that!

Alright, let's get back to Tony and vehicle development

We'll continue developing the vehicle with the goal to present in December 2018 -

The production-ready prototype.

Production, in fact, will start in 2019

It's a tight timeline but everything is set up and we are sure we'll get there

And we're also doing some really innovative work on the software side.

As we look ahead to 2019 and bringing our first production car to market

We're working really hard internally, and with really fantastic vendors to make sure that we're gonna

Bring the best possible user experience to the urban commuter

But honestly, it's not just about right now - it's about the road ahead

In fact, Future Tom - can you tell us a little bit more about that?

So, here we are in the future and we're all about seamless mobility services

In fact, the Uniti of today could be considered the perfect

Platform for cloud-based mobility. Now, what does that mean?

Well it means a few things actually. It means that we're working with cities and municipalities

On the challenges of last mile transport

That means that we're developing the next generation of ride-sharing services and new business models based off this new

Technology, and lastly it's just really getting people used to the idea of autonomous driving

That if you don't want to drive, you don't have to drive. But you also have all the safety and convenience that comes along with that

So let's stop there and change to something different. Let's switch channel to Anton at the engineering

That's the big picture and of course our engineering team is working on improving the next prototype so for example

So for example we're doing analysis on the suspension

System and powertrain system and this is to develop the component requirement, so we can reach our targets.

So, for example, we have to make sure we're choosing the correct motor to reach our goal of

Exploration and torque speed and we have to make sure we have the correct

Suspension system to reach our target for comfort. And this is of course one of the areas

We get a lot of help from our partners because they have the experience, they have the tools for this

We're also doing certain adjustments to the previous design.

So, for example, what you can see behind me here

is that we redesign the front dashboard to integrate safety features.

And when a part design is mature enough, we take that and integrate that into the virtual production environment.

That's where we can, plan out the whole factory layout

And that's to reduce set-up time, investment cost and optimize the vehicle for efficient production

So, that's just a small insight into what we're doing, the processes we're working on

and the plans we're making to get this vehicle into mass production

and we're not in this by ourselves.

So we're in contact with many different companies with many different expertise.

And that's really why we are in Trollhättan

Trollhättan is a small town just north of Gothenburg

You know it's small? But it's famous for a lot of different things

Let us explain:

The town was a pioneer in renewable energy sources as the first hydropower plant in Sweden,

Olidans kraftverk, was built here in 1905.

It produces 1260 gigawatt hours of energy each year -

enough to charge 57 million Uniti cars

This town is also known for its film industry, with its rather large production of Swedish films -

which is why there is now Hollywood,

Bollywood, and a slightly less known Trollywood

We can't mention Trollhättan without mentioning the car company SAAB.

So here's a breakdown:

SAAB Automotive started producing its first car

In 1947

The company's background is in aerospace, which contributed to giving the car its aerodynamics

And in the coming decades, the company developed and sold lots of cars all over the world

While inventing many different technologies, such as the first ever reliable turbo motor used in consumer cars,

Electrical heating systems in car seats which is very much needed here in Sweden and asbestos-free brakes.

But in spite of SAAB's innovation, it was unfortunately put into bankruptcy in 2012.

It has since been bought by an EV company currently

developing new cars in Trollhättan again

And, in this innovative town, there are of course a lot of innovative people

A great example of this is Combitech here right behind us

We've actually started collaborating with them

So let's go inside and see what that means!

We're starting today to go through the different steps you need to take and do the virtual developments all the different

Simulations and analysis you need to do. Coming from a traditional

industry it's very exciting to meet a startup company Uniti and have new fresh ideas

It's exciting to work with people who don't see

See the problems and see the possibilities

It went really well

We had a discussion around challenges regarding passive safety,

and passive safety is all the systems that keep you safe when you actually have a crash

If you haven't subscribed yet please do so and leave a comment below

Until the next episode, have a great day. Thank you.

That was all for this week.

Thank you for watching another Uniti Update episode.

We'll be out with another one soon. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe.

Until then, have an awesome day!

DO GIRLS GO FOR GUYS WITH A CAR? - Duration: 6:33.

I really like you, and I think we should be boyfriend girlfriend.

What do you think?

Umm, Andy, you're a really nice guy and I love your car.

Thank you!

Hi, this is Andy Lau Mua Mua, and today,

I'm here to teach YOU how to jio some Singaporean chiobus.

Look at my credentials;

I have lots of girlfriends

lots of love

Hi Andy! Here are roses for you! You like it?

Oh,yeah!

Anyway, help me do my report, can?

and a lot of experience.

Now, look at Nicole.

Hi Andy! I'm the new colleague, Nicole!

Nice to meet you!

So chio, so new, so young and totally into me.

Guess what? I totally like her back too!

So… what do I have to do ah, to get together with this chiobu?

Let's face it; Singaporean girls like cars.

Especially super expensive ones.

Drive them around in one, and they'll be so impressed.

Hey Nicole!

Eh hi!

What're you doing now?

Uhh... going to the toilet?

Cool, need a ride?

Huh what?

A ride, a ride. On my super expensive car!

But the toilet's literally over there…

Walking is not something that someone like you should bother with.

Come on, I fetch you there?

Uh… ok, thanks?

See, she likes me!

Oh, can pump petrol liao!

Everyone loves free rides, and girls aren't any different.

Especially if you put in some extra effort for them! You know, like extra service?

Anyway it's 5 p.m. and I'm supposed to be off work,

but I'm still here waiting for Nicole.

Watch and learn, bro.

Hey, you going home soon?

Yeap, I'm done with my proposal!

Me too! Wanna take a ride home in my super smooth expensive car?

It's fine lah, I live in Tampines and…

Totally along the way!

Huh? But I thought you live in Choa Chu Kang?

Along the way! Singapore how big, right?

Uh, that's true…

Are you going to reject my polite offer?

Ehh, ok then! But your petrol how ah…

I just top up only! Don't argue anymore!

Give me 5 minutes, I drive the car to the front porch and pick you up from there, ok?

Okay!

She totally wants that ride now.

What a nice guy!

People say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. And guess what?

It's the same for ladies!

Keep a girl happy and full and she will see you in a whole new light.

Trust me; I got a degree in this.

Aww I'm so hungry! I think I'm going to die!

Gurl, pls don't say dat!

But I'm hungry!

Hey, Old Chang Kee's got a new product! Nasi Lemak Curry Puff?

Alamak! Nasi Lemak!?

Hi, anyone called for food delivery?

Bro, that's just creepy.

Ain't creepy if it works.

That's frigging cool.

So, can I have the honor of taking your order?

I… I guess we could save on delivery costs!

3 Nasi Lemak Curry Puffs please!

Ok, anything else?

Nope

Alright, estimated delivery time, 30 mins! So hold on tight!

OMG! What's taking him so long…?

I feel as if someone stabbed me in my stomach!

Sorry ladies, I apologise for the delay! The food's here!

What took you so long?! What took you so long?!

There was a traffic jam, that's why I was late lah!

But the nearest Old Chang Kee is just a 5 mins drive away…

Ah I went to the Bukit Batok Caltex one.

Why you go that one? Why you go that far?

I heard that was the best Old Chang Kee in Singapore.

That's why I bought it from there! Nothing but the best for you, right?

Oh geez…

Hmph easy peasy. And I managed to top up petrol as well.

By now, Nicole's probably got the hots for me, and it's really time to pop the question.

After she sees so much that I've done for her,

she will definitely say yes to what I'm going to say lah!

Time to confess, man!

Hey, thanks for sending me back home!

Anyway, Nicole!

Ya?

I need to ask you a question.

Okay.

I really like you, and I think we should be boyfriend girlfriend.

What do you think?

Umm, Andy, you're a really nice guy and I love your car.

Thank you!

Umm, but then…

You've just been a very good bro to me.

And for the past few days you've been a great friend!

Bro?

Ehh...I see you tomorrow, ok? Bye bye!

Always have a back-up plan, because you don't know when things will go south.

So okay, Nicole rejecting me was not expected, but it's okay!

Because I still have something to gain.

For it was all planned out…

Immaculately plotted and designed…

Uncle! Give me 95, just nice $50, okay?

And all within my calculations.

Eh, hello! Pump 14!

Morning! Pump 14, 95, $50 ah?

Yeah

Take tissue box right?

Yeah, correct.

Hmm.

Wish you good luck, can win-

One million Linkpoints, right!

I know!

Thanks, bye!

So, the actual lesson here? Stop wasting time trying to impress Singaporean girls.

They're not worth it.

One million LinkPoints!

Instead, go to Caltex and spend a gross $50 on fuel and receive a tissue box.

Depending on your luck, you might just win 1 million LinkPoints like me,

or some other awesome prizes as well!

She fell into my trap, and she doesn't know it!

Wait-

Wait-what?! Where is it?!

He fell into my trap, and he doesn't even know it.

One million LinkPoints! Come to momma!

2018 Subaru BRZ tS Review | motoring.com.au - Duration: 4:31.

When I first saw the STI badge on the Subaru BRZ my heart skipped a beat.

Is this really a beefcake BRZ?

There was another and another badge, that spoiler, those wheels, Brembo brakes.

This is a beautiful car, low and sleek, perfect proportions, and that rear end, I really,

really like the look.

The only thing missing is an STI bonnet scoop.

Once inside the upgraded seats feel amazing, as does the STI steering wheel.

There's a new seven inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and the trip computer gets

better graphics and even a G-force meter.

This has got to be fast, right?

The six-speed manual feels great between shifts but tickle the throttle and it all falls apart.

It gets the same flaccid, breathless two-litre boxer engine as the regular BRZ.

I mean the WRX STI gets a boost, why can't this one get a boost?

Not only does it feel old and slow in an era of supercharged this and electric that, this

BRZ feels lazy.

It should be stripped of its STI badges.

This, my friends, is false advertising.

It's like buying organic frozen mango yoghurt only to find out it's rancid soft-serve slurry

from a fast-food joint.

Come and have a look at this, right?

The only thing that's changed under here are these STI strut braces.

This engine makes no more power or torque than the regular car which is disappointing

for a vehicle that carries the legendary STI badges.

And while we're opening things, look at the boot, just useless.

This is not a practical car.

But if you find a nice stretch of road, the asthmatic engine can be almost forgiven because

the new suspension, direct steering and potent brakes make this almost as engaging as James

Franco.

Sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, sack stampers [?] and STI springs improve the BRZ

tS's resolve in corners.

It grips better, sits flatter and turns with more tenacity.

Okay, so this car is no traffic light dueller but golly gee, it's fun in the corners.

Despite having a firmer ride, it won't bust your spine on less exciting roads.

Although that low line of sight and manual gearbox make traffic snarls more unpleasant

than usual.

But this car is not about commuting.

It's about carving up corners and it does this beautifully.

The steering has a level of tactility that makes every apex satisfying and although the

engine is a gutless wonder, the overall package is very entertaining.

This is how the original car should have been set up back in 2012 and the meaty Brembo brakes

give you plenty of confidence diving into corners.

It makes a good noise but I just wish it had more power.

I mean, for Pete's sake, Subaru, is a turbo too much to ask for?

In its defence, the BRZ tS delivers cheap, communicative and exploitable fun.

The classic front engine, rear drive set up works nicely.

That said, you really need to keep the engine on the boil to put a smile on your dial.

But it's kind of satisfying thrashing the bejesus out of it.

As far as lightweight affordable sports cars go, this ticks a lot of boxes.

It's nimble, fluid and fun and will suit a wide range of drivers from novices to veteran

asphalt warriors.

I just wish there was more mumbo on tap.

The BRZ revs out nicely but the lack of thrust is just frustrating.

Well, I've got to say this is a very well sorted car.

I've had a huge amount of fun here but just get rid of those STI badges, would you?

2021 Audi e-tron GT: The Porsche-Based Audi EV Sports Car - Duration: 2:36.

What It Is: This week, outgoing Audi Sport chief Stephan Winkelmann confirmed that Audi

Sport—the division previously known as Quattro GmbH—will launch a fully electric model

by late 2020.

Although he failed to provide more details, we know he is talking about a low-slung, powerful

four-door EV that shares much with the Porsche Mission E (internal code J1) and developed

at Audi Sport, known internally as the e-tron GT.

It is a futuristic hatchback, likely even lower to the ground than our renderings suggest,

and ultrapowerful, with the capability to reach 155 mph, or perhaps beyond, for an extended

period of time.

The e-tron GT will clearly be a member of the e-tron family, but it will be distinctly

sportier than the mechanically unrelated e-tron Quattro. Why It Matters: No one knows when

the world will go electric, but when it does, Audi Sport wants to be prepared.

The e-tron GT will combine the agility of an Audi Sport product with the silent power

of an electric.

Platform: The e-tron GT shares its platform with the Porsche Mission E; it is a stand-alone,

electric-only architecture.

In the Porsche, it supposedly boasts fast-charging capability—80 percent battery capacity in

15 minutes—and there's no reason for the Audi to do otherwise.

The platform could migrate to Bentley and Lamborghini as well.Powertrains: We expect

the fully electric powertrain of the e-tron GT to make around 600 horsepower.

There will be multiple single-speed transmissions to deliver torque to both axles.

Competition: Mercedes-AMG GT four-door, Porsche Panamera Turbo S, Tesla Model S, other high-performance

electric- or conventionally powered sedans.

Estimated Arrival and Price: The 2021 Audi e-tron GT will make its debut in late 2020.

Pricing is far from being finalized, but expect a price in excess of $100,000.
